SanTan Gardens - Brewery & Distillery Tours

If you love buying local, learning about and enjoying adult beverages this will be a fun, enjoyable tour for you! We kicked off a sample of their beer before embarking on the tour. It's a massive operation and they walk you through every step of the process. You'll visit 8 stations where you'll taste 'beer wash', their single malt bourbon, caramello whiskey, and of course more beer! After the tour, we spent time in the bar/tasting room and took home a treasure trove of libations. We even joined their spirits club which is one of the more reasonably priced. You definitely get the value for your money!

Excellent! Great place to take out of town visitors, double date night or girls night out! We visited on a Friday evening. There were about 15-20 people on the tour with us. The tour begins with everyone getting a generous sample of one of their beers. I don't drink beer (I know, why am I visiting a brewery? Because they have vodka and other spirits too!) so I got a sample of one of their draft cocktails - delicious! Paul was our awesome and informative hipster tour guide. We got to learn everything about the beer and whiskey making process - from the roasting of the grains until the final bottling. Really fascinating! And several samples along the way. We ended with another sample (the espresso martini) and ended up buying a bottle of the caramel whiskey. Overall it's a lot more than we were expecting to drink and everything was so tasty! I recommend taking a ride-share and then going to a restaurant afterwards (they don't offer any food on-site), for a perfect evening!

Such a cool place! Our first time at this location and went for Bingo Brunch... it was fun, food was good, and go calling the numbers kept everyone laughing. It's a must go! The place is gorgeous inside and out. They have events all the time and open 7 days a week. We'll definitely be back!

Very fun and informative tour with sampling all through the tour. If you want to see how they distill liquors and brew beer, this will be the tour for you!

Had the last of the day tour of the day with Paul. He was amazingly informative and entertaining and taught me more information than I had expected to learn. I would highly recommend a visit here to learn what you can. But be warned that it can be hot in there but they do visit some coolers to help cool you down here in the Arizona heat.

Had an amazing time at the tour! Super informative and fun! We’ve done a few tour in different breweries and this has been our favorite! Our handsome tour guide Spencer was a lot of fun and was very informative! We actually want to do the tour again!!

Excellent! My daughter took me here and we dis the tour for Father's day. What a great gift and very educational tour. Highly recommend this location to just hang out, live music, sampling, tour or get your growler filled up. Great place to try their whiskey, spritzers, gin or wide variety of beers. Tour was well over an hour and worth every minute. Even if you brew, it's great to see how a garage brewer turned into this Chandler staple. Make sure you eat something before the tour... you will get plenty to sample along the way so ya definitely want something in your stomach before ya start. Enjoy!!!

I've been to quite a few tours and this has been the best tour I've been to. It's also much more of the type of tour that most people would "expect" vs the the "get a flight" type "tours." I ***MUST*** add that the knowledge of our tour guide, Natasha, made the difference. Her knowledge of the process was phenomenal!!! Great sense of humor, personable and people friendly, and most of all educational! We loved her!!! Much Kudos to Tara as well whom welcomed us right away with our st tasting, gave us the introduction to our tour then was a great host after the fact! Thanks to them, Anthony, I will visit your other locations and feel like I'll become a loyal SanTan brewery patron❣ (Quite the accomplishment coming from someone who is visiting from CA).

What a cool place. I did not do the tour, just enjoyed some great music and beers on the patio. Juicy Jack is a delicious beer. Service was fast and friendly. The Irie sure knows how to put on a great show! Had that patio rockin'. I would come back to this place for sure. The stage set up looks like they have live music quite a bit. The opening band was great too, Wyves. Great vocals and guitar playing. I would watch them do covers anytime.

Great space and staff! There are indoor and outdoor spaces. Both areas are inviting and comfortable. The staff are knowledge and helpful. The on-site food truck offers tasty meals.

Attended The Rolling Stones tribute here last night and it was excellent! I really enjoyed the laid back atmosphere and vibe and the patio area is very nice. We ordered food from the food truck- nachos with pork carnitas (flavor was good with a lot of meat but seriously lacking cheese) and 2 brisket tacos with a side of Spanish rice (good flavor but the brisket was very chewy and the tortilla was kinda dry) They offer a lot of variety of beers since it's a brewery but we don't like beer so we ordered a San-Tan-A Rita and sacred rye whiskey and both were great. Really enjoyed the ambience, entertainment and service. I'd come back with friends for drinks and to hang out.

Such a Rocking place to hang out at on a Friday night! They have plenty of parking. A food truck available to order from. The drinks were good. The band was a Tribute band for The Rolling Stones. They did really well and had people dancing on their feet. I can't wait to come back to tour the Brewery!

I've driven by here so many times and never realized this place was here until last night. There is a very comfortable and inviting outside patio that has live music. Last night I was treated to The Rolling Stones tribute and it was extremely entertaining. The band kept it very lively and everyone was enjoying themselves. Even the kids were having a great time dancing. The staff were very attentive and took care of the entire table. From what I understand, the food was made by the food truck. I had the pork carnitas nachos and it was very tasty. The drinks were good. I'd definitely go back.

Great location, great outdoor patio for live music, great food, and great service. I highly recommend coming here.

Sharat was our tour guide and he is terrific. What a wonderful tour with plenty of tastings along the way. We loved it and bought a bunch of items to bring back. Go on the tour and make sure to buy some to take home

Our guide Paul was fantastic! Super knowledgeable about all the different processes and friendly! The tastings were great, everything was delicious! **note the tour is not air conditioned, and it was a bit hot. But lots of water stations through the tour**

We had an absolutely fantastic time on our brewery tour with Paul! He was incredibly engaging, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience both fun and informative. No matter how silly our questions were, Paul answered each one with enthusiasm and expertise, making everyone feel welcome and included. You can tell he's passionate about what he does and came fully prepared to give us a memorable tour. Thanks, Paul, for showing us such a great time -- we couldn't have asked for a better guide! Shoutout to caramellow whiskey!

They don't offer food. Much, anyways. 2 choices of popcorn, pretzel or beef jerky. But they offer 10% off their restaurant food to be delivered. They have tours for $15 and that includes a$5 off a purchase. If you do the tour you get a welcome Gift of Juicy Jack. Normally, you should wear closed toed shoes. They brew 509 gallons at a time.

Had such a great time on the tour! So much to see and lots of fun samples! Definitely would recommend a visit.

I've been here a couple of times and have really enjoyed my time. This location is different from the one in downtown Chandler as it also has a distillery. I had a few of their beers which were good, I like that they offer a variety of options vs mostly IPAs which I feel are more predominant in a lot of breweries. For cocktails, we tried their draft espresso martini and smoked agave old fashioned. Normally, I wouldn't order a draft cocktail but they were pretty good. We also had some whiskey neat and a gin cocktail; both spirits made in house. If you are looking for elaborate cocktails I don't think this is the place for that. There are very limited food options but sometimes they have food trucks. They offer tours of the brewery and distillery for $15; I recommend checking their website for the tour schedule. I went to their Grateful Dead band tribute which was $7 per person and it was a blast. I like the ambiance, it's relaxing and the place itself looks clean and modern. Service was good.

Still coming here weekly for Tuesday trivia! The staff is amazing and takes care of everyone. Also after my last review, Willie let me know they were finally adding some food trucks! Now that they sell food, they don't allow bringing outside food in. The food truck is delicious though so no worries! As long as they keep hosting trivia here, my team and I will be back on a weekly basis!

My friends and I (13 people) attended, for the third year, the "Rib Fest", Brews, BBQ, and Music mini festival on 11/2/24. We were hoping it would continue to improve, as it had in the past. I am heartbroken to say, the food was definitely NOT better; on a scale of 1-5 - Pulled Pork 3 (Bland), Beef Brisket 4 (Tender and Juicy, but very fatty), Ribs 2 (Overcooked, Dry, heavy non-chewable BARK, non eatable), horrible bagged coleslaw w/little to no dressing, on a positive note "the potato salad was excellent", for the money charged, the food should have been much better. The SanTan libation is excellent (what consistently brings us back). The two bands; Band #1 "Joshua Strickland Duo" (Rating 3), good voices, musicians pretty good, but SO EXCESSIVELY LOUD it hurt to listen, and no one can dance to music that is drowning out your thought processes, if you feel like you need to play that loud for people to listen, there's something wrong. Band #2 "Young Country" (rating 5), Literally one of the BEST bands our group has ever had the pleasure of listening and dancing to. So much so, we are looking for additional opportunities to hear around Arizona venues, and hopefully with better food. All in all, I respectfully give the event a low 3 rating. Not sure we will be back next year.

A group of friends went to the tour today. Our tour guide was Paul and he was great and very knowledgeable, we all learned a lot and enjoyed our time there and the tastings were very good.

Came for the brewery tour, but had drinks beforehand. Very informative tour, and lots of unique samples! Will try and come back for the live band nights. Had no idea this place was here, but have been to the downtown location so many times. Fun date day

My husband and I really enjoyed the environment out on the patio. The service was great and the drinks were delicious.

Stopped In for a quick beer and a look around. Cool looking brewery with a laid back vibe. The people are extremely friendly but there is no food. I think they have food trucks on certain days but they're not cooking food or selling snacks. Good place to stop by real quick if you're in the mood for a Devils Ale.

I came here with a friend yesterday and the food was awesome. We stopped by a couple of other spots before landing on San Tan. The burger choices drew us both in and we ended up splitting a Cubano with fries and a mushroom Gouda burger with Cajun tots. The bread that the Cubano had was beer bread if I'm remembering correctly. The bread was tasty with a crispy outside and a softer inside. The sandwich itself seemed like a hot pocket though which wasn't filled fully with ingredients. I wouldn't order this again. The tots however were awesome. The burger stole the show. I'd absolutely order this again and the fries were exactly how I like them. I will definitely be back to try more food :)

We came to a Sunday brewery tour with some friends. On Tara Haney plus side it's really easy to book. We got a Groupon and booked same day. The tour was pretty informative but lacked the intriguing flare we hoped for. The tour was about 1.5 hours and had a few free drinks and shots along the way. Besides the shots it was 1.5 hours of our tour guide talking and once you start getting tipsy it gets boring fast. I would loved to see more interactive sections. After doing some real tours of brewery's this one doesn't hit as high on the scale. If this is tir first tour it's pretty I formative and a good starter.

I highly recommend the tour. Our tour guide, Willie, was phenomenal! The whiskey and beer were great! 10 out of 10.

This evening I went to the ribfest and this is what I think the $12 fee for the music was great. The service was great. The beer was good but the ribs were seven dollars for one very small rib and I think they could've put at least two ribs inside there to me that was just pure greed, but that's OK because I will never attend This fest again!

Did the San tan brewery tour. Was thinking it would be okay... what a great surprise (Sharat) was soo awesome very knowledgeable and sooo funny!!! I recommend everybody this to everybody I know. Best beer/whiskey I've ever had !

Went for the tour yesterday with my boys for an early Mother's Day outing. I was feeling just alittle tipsy to say the least. Make sure you eat something before you go. I personally didn't know all the steps taken to make beer or spirits. You get 2 full glasses of beer, tasting of 3 spirts: whiskey, vodka n gin. Worth the money. Have to order your own food for delivery though.

Cody was the best and informative tour guide! We loved interacting and asking questions about the hops used at San Tan. Be prepared for a costco experience full of samples and a beautiful tasting room for fun after. Would recommend! I would go anywhere with a welcome beer!

We came in last week for a drink, and the bartender told us he would be starting to give tours again. My husband and I wanted something to do over the weekend, so we bought tickets! The tour itself was about an hour and a half long, you get a draft Devil's Ale to start, and a can of beer (if you want!) about 2/3 of the way through the tour, along with tastes of all of the spirits during the tour. Noell, our tour guide, did an awesome job teaching the group all about brewing and distilling. We got to see where all of SanTan's products are made and stored and learned so much about the process. Highly recommend this tour to anyone even remotely interested in SanTan's beer and/or spirits!

Great tour. Would've been better if the restaurant and touring facility was on the same property. Wonderful tour.

Thought we would check out the Beer, Bourbon, Barbeque and a Band at SanTan Garden yesterday. Paid $15 per ticket, got there early so we could get a good seat to find that only the VIP tables were in the shade and the fans directed at them. The only few tables not for VIP were in the sun! Were talking 4pm, in September, in AZ, outside. Asked if they could move a high top table to a shaded area and was told NO. Asked if a fan could be directed to our table and again told NO. You would think at least they would have added umbrellas for the tables in the sun ... nope! A mister system? Nope! Not even a free drink ticket for paying $15 per person ... so what did we pay $15 for! I could have sat at home, in the sun with the radio on for FREE! You need to have other drink options available for those that don't drink beer and don't like the flavor of your vodka and your whiskey. Maybe more seltzer waters or ciders? You do have three flavors of the Sun Splash Vodka sodas but those were not that great. Will not waste my money on this again ... lesson learned.

I can't even begin to tell you how bad this tour was. Let me start with two things: 1) I LOVE touring things - old homes, breweries, Disneyland tours, anything! 2) I LOVE beer. So, one would thing, this would be a perfect thing. It was awful - so much so I CRINGE when I see SanTan beer at the store or at a restaurant. Here's the situation - online it says to wear closed toed shoes. Not enforced. Online they say it'll be about an hour. Not true - ours took over 2. The "brewer" was SO unbelievably into himself it was out of control. Like THE most arrogant man I have ever met. Will not drink there beer. Do not encourage you to go on the tour.

Took a tour from Brandon and really enjoyed seeing what they're doing and trying some of their beer and spirits. Would highly recommend checking it out. The ticket cost paid for itself in samples. Stayed around after for a couple more drinks and enjoyed those as well.

We came here to do the tour for my husbands birthday and it was such a cool experience. You sample vodka, whisky and gin. They also give you a complimentary beer upon the start of the tour. I loved learning about the history of San tan brewery and love their drinks too! Also- they have a salted caramel whisky. It's to die for. Try it!

Paul was a great tour guide! We learned so much about what goes into creating these tasty whiskeys & brews. I totally recommend this tour for date night!

We came here for our last night of vacation, and it did not disappoint. We started with a few drinks (not pictured) before getting dinner. I got the Bloody Mary (which wasn't great but not terrible) and then a few of the mules. They were delicious! Dinner was phenomenal. The Nashville Hot Chicken was thick and juicy, and the Cajun tots were super crunchy. Absolutely perfect! The pizza was full of meat and cheese. Our server was very helpful (I feel terrible for not remembering her name). She gave some awesome suggestions and even told us things to stay away from. Next time we're back in this area we'll come here!

This was such a great space for a POUND fitness class! The owners were super friendly and accommodating, I absolutely loved the atmosphere, and the giant fan on the ceiling provided a perfect amount of breeze. I am not a beer drinker so I can't speak to the drinks themselves, but I know several others in the group said they were delicious. I would love to attend more events at this location in the future.

Very fun tour. Super informative and a good mix of samples. Relaxed environment with lots of post tour options. Good for beer and/or spirits fans.

i would recommend anyone and everyone to do this tour!! tasha was AWESOME. she was very personable and knew what she was talking about but made it fun! i bought my dad and i tickets to do this tour on groupon and it was so worth it. plus you get to try so much alcohol so that was really AWESOME. but it was cool to see all the behind the scenes stuff of how the process is done. do this tour - it was so fun and something different to do!!

What a great tour!! I belong to several beer groups & a group of us ladies have been wanting to do this for awhile! I am glad we did & highly recommend it. The tour was amazing, learned so much from our amazing tour guide "Brandon" he has a crazy amount of knowledge about beer, whiskey and all the stuff! Didn't realize all that went into making beer?! I highly recommend the tour and with Brandon you will have a great time and drink and learn along the way!

We've been to multiple breweries, especially throughout San Diego and Denver, and this has been the most detailed experience we've had thus far! Brandon is very knowledgeable and is willing to answer any question you have for him. Definitely a great experience! This is the best tour yet.

My husband and I discovered San Tan Brews when we were at the airport waiting for our flight! I found out they did tours and I booked one for my husbands birthday. We had an amazing time from the moment we walked in! Our tour guide was Brandon and he was AWESOME! He is SUPER knowledgeable about the brewing process and the amazing beers and spirits San Tan has to offer! He was upbeat and kept the group engaged! We had to he most perfect time! We plan on coming back and bringing a group of friends next time! Definitely a must go to tour and the beer and spirits are an A plus.

We were able to sample so many different options of what San Tan Brewery and Distillery offers. We enjoyed the tour and overall experience so much we plan on going back again with more friends to share the experience! Try to book with Paul!

With all that this year has brought us, my girlfriends and I needed to get the heck out and have some fun! From the moment we walked in, our tour guide Paul was amazing!! We learned so much and got to try everything (you definitely feel good by the end). We are already planning the next outing and I highly recommend you do too!
