My friends and I (13 people) attended, for the third year, the "Rib Fest", Brews, BBQ, and Music mini festival on 11/2/24. We were hoping it would continue to improve, as it had in the past. I am heartbroken to say, the food was definitely NOT better; on a scale of 1-5 - Pulled Pork 3 (Bland), Beef Brisket 4 (Tender and Juicy, but very fatty), Ribs 2 (Overcooked, Dry, heavy non-chewable BARK, non eatable), horrible bagged coleslaw w/little to no dressing, on a positive note "the potato salad was excellent", for the money charged, the food should have been much better.
The SanTan libation is excellent (what consistently brings us back). The two bands; Band #1 "Joshua Strickland Duo" (Rating 3), good voices, musicians pretty good, but SO EXCESSIVELY LOUD it hurt to listen, and no one can dance to music that is drowning out your thought processes, if you feel like you need to play that loud for people to listen, there's something wrong. Band #2 "Young Country" (rating 5), Literally one of the BEST bands our group has ever had the pleasure of listening and dancing to. So much so, we are looking for additional opportunities to hear around Arizona venues, and hopefully with better food.
All in all, I respectfully give the event a low 3 rating. Not sure we will be back next year.
