"It’s tea time at the Ritz-Carlton’s stylish Santé restaurant every Saturday and Sunday from noon to 3 p.m. Enjoy homemade scones, tea sandwiches, and pastries served with a premium selection of loose-leaf teas. Scones come with clotted cream, lemon curd, and fruit preserves. The cost is $76 per person from noon to 3 p.m., with add-on bottles of Dom Perignon or Veuve Clicquot. Kids 12 and under ($47) can partake in bite-sized treats, tea, or hot chocolate — and pick out a teddy bear to take home. Its Tysons Corner sibling Entyse also offers afternoon tea on Fridays to Sundays ($79 per person) paired with piano entertainment with cocktails, mocktails, and bubbly for extra." - Tierney Plumb, Emily Venezky

Came here for afternoon tea with some girl friends and we had a great experience! Tea and food were nice and service was good too. Ambiance was classy and elegant. It’s a bit pricey but most afternoon tea spots are around here so no complaints.

Came for holiday tea. Service was awful, terribly slow. Our server took 15 mins to take our initial order and would average about 10-15 minutes any time we asked for anything. She kept forgetting about us. I was really disappointed in the service especially for the price we paid for the afternoon tea. Also had a sick kid who could not make it but they wouldn’t allow me to change the reservation, requires 72 hour advance notice which seems excessive. Tea options were good. The nutcracker and the cream early grey were our favorites. The scones and lavender tea cake were the highlights of the food. Everything else was meh. I’ve had a much better experience at Four Seasons afternoon tea in Georgetown.

Firstly, I would like to express my admiration for the beautiful restaurant. I truly appreciate the convenience of having a valet service. As soon as I entered the restaurant, I was immediately captivated by its serene and luxurious atmosphere. The lighting was impeccably adjusted to create the perfect ambiance for the special occasion I was there for, which was my anniversary date. Given the type of restaurant it is, it came as no surprise that the menu featured food names that were unfamiliar to me, so it was an exciting culinary adventure. Thankfully, I recognized Salmon on the menu and decided to order it along with a shrimp plate that the waitress highly recommended as an appetizer. I must say, the salmon dish exceeded my expectations and I would rate it a perfect 5 out of 5. It was cooked to perfection, just as I had requested. The dish was accompanied by a serving of brown rice, though I personally found it slightly mushy, I still appreciated the effort. The staff, including the host, waitress, and waiter, were all delightful and provided excellent service. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant in Arlington if you're looking for a luxurious dining experience.

I attended the Cherry Blossom Tea this weekend with five friends, and it was pretty nice! Two people in our party had strict dietary restrictions (gluten free and dairy free), and they were perfectly accommodated. I do agree with what a few others have said about the service taking a while (our seating was at 2:30 and we didn’t finish until 4:30, making us a little late for a 4:45 event we were all going to). The tea was lovely though and the desserts + tea sandwiches were surprisingly filling! Not to mention the complementary mimosas were an added bonus. The price was a little high at $110 per person, but I guess it is the Ritz. We had purposefully picked this tea experience because it was supposed to be a little bit less compared to some other cherry blossom teas in the DMV, but it ended up being about the same. The restaurant was also a little bit loud, but overall it was a pretty good experience I’d recommend, especially if you have friends with dietary restrictions.

We were visiting for an event and stayed at Ritz-Carlton. Thought the rest restaurant there would have great food. The service was nice and seated right away. We decided on the grilled octopus, pumpkin soup, whole branzino , pork chop, short ribs and the osso buco.. Savory full bodied pumpkin soup, chewy soft center hard crust bread, and the tender juicy octopus were great. The main meal came no long after. To our disappointment after a great start, the only dish we like was the perfectly flaky, moist with crunchy skin fish. Though the pork was ordered to medium. It pretty much was well done. The short rib was tender but missing the flavor a braised short rib we were anticipating. Even so, it's just doesn't taste good. The osso buco was fairly tough instead of the the tender braised version that we know this dish should be. The taste also on the bland side. For dessert, we ordered the ice cream and baklava sundae. They somehow ran out of vanilla ice cream. The baklava was more of a deconstructed version. Not really a baklava but only the ingredients. A bit of a let down considering the Ritz-Carlton brand.

We took our daughter here for High Tea and we had an amazing time. The staff here was knowledgeable and friendly about the tea and the food had more hits than misses when it came to the spreads. The atmosphere was fine, it's still a hotel restaurant, but the staff and being around other families made warm and inviting.

Google
My daughter and I did the afternoon tea at Santé and it was such a treat. For her, she did a Teddy Bear tea that came with a little bear, cute snacks and pastries and her own little tea kettle. I had the Angel Mist tea(Strawberry and lemon notes) that was light and refreshing! The service was excellent. We will be coming back to do more afternoon teas.

I made the mistake of attempting to eat here when I was thirsty and hungry. The service could not have been worse if there wasn’t any servers on duty. I received a drink once and in 45 minutes saw the server once, once to order and once to receive the check. There are better options in the area.

Yelp
My mother, sister, and 2 year old niece and my recent afternoon tea experience at the Ritz-Carlton's Sante was nothing short of delightful. The moment we stepped into the elegant tea room, we were greeted by the kindest and most attentive staff. Each guest was presented with their own individual teapot and hot cocoa option for my niece, ensuring a personalized and indulgent experience. The tiered stand was adorable, laden with delectable treats. From savory finger sandwiches to decadent pastries, every bite was scrumptious. For the holiday tea for my niece, the holiday teddy bear was included and seated at her designated spot at the table, and the children's plate, featuring a bear-shaped peanut butter and jelly sandwich, ladybug fruit tart, sugar cookie, chocolate cheesecake pop, red velvet cupcake, and turkey and cheese sandwich was a hit. The staff even offered to take our photo as soon as the tea and food were served, capturing the perfect moment. The valet service, complimentary with validation from the restaurant host, added to the overall convenience and luxury of the experience. If you're seeking a truly memorable afternoon tea experience, I highly recommend Sante at the Ritz-Carlton. It's a perfect blend of elegance, delicious food, and impeccable service.

Yelp
While staying at the Ritz, I tried this restaurant. I liked sitting at the bar and eating so much, I continue to eat here a few times a week since I live within walking distance. I get the steak frites religiously. Robert is a great bar tender and server. Very kind, welcoming, and knowledgeable. I appreciate the restaurant staying open until midnight every night. Especially since everything closes around Pentagon city.

Yelp
RC is known for their Afternoon Tea, so for Mother's Day, I wanted to connect with my babies over nice tea and bites. The receptionist was incredibly kind and understanding that we were late due to horrendous traffic. My babies got the Teddy Bear Tea and I got the regular afternoon tea. It was for sure busy over Mother's Day weekend and some of the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed. The tea offerings were very limited in my opinion. I got the Blueberry White, one of my girls got Blue Eyes, and my other one got Hot Cocoa (they offer this for kiddos that don't want tea). The girls and I enjoyed our beverages. For the food, my older one and I enjoyed our scone and the savory pastries. She didn't quite enjoy anything on her Teddy Bear plate but found a lemon pastry on my rack that she absolutely loved. My little one enjoyed the fruit from the fruit tart, cupcake, and macaron from my rack. It was a nice experience, but for the (premium) price you pay and the offerings, it's really difficult to say it was worth the visit. *Complimentary valet if you do Afternoon Tea here

Yelp
This was a wonderful birthday (mom's) celebrated with an afternoon tea outing at Sante. Though we were a bit overdressed compared to some other patrons, mixed with casual table setting (no white table linen), this venue was overall inclusive and diverse. The service was top notch though-our attendant was very attentive and even (graciously) allowed us to partake in extra scones :). Btw, The scones were THE best Ive tasted in all of our "high end" afternoon tea events around the city..bravo!! Highly recommend, but probably better suited for a more relaxed experience.

Yelp
Customer service is where Sante shines. Within the Ritz-Carlton Pentagon City, one of Arlington's only luxury hotels, Sante borrows from the Ritz's brand of impeccable service. From the moment you walk in, the host greets you by name and leads you to your table. Your server also remembers your name and gives you their undivided attention. Sante's food is Mediterranean so expect a combination of seafood and dips. Staying at the Ritz for two nights, our favorite dishes were the smoked Atlantic salmon, Sante trio (garlic hummus, muhammara, fava bean dip, grilled pita, crisp fresh vegetables), and the octopus. They have a robust kids menu and treat every child like royalty. Our seven-year-old daughter loved dining here. They have a full bar menu. The smoked Old Fashioned was fun to see the bartender create. The brunch sangria was nice and sweet. They also have fun happenings like Afternoon Tea with scones, pastries, little sandwiches and a kids version with kid items and a Teddy Bear. It makes for a fun date idea to do with your child! (Disclaimer: Sante comped our meal since we were hosted by the hotel, but did not require me to write this. I did it on my own.)

Yelp
The greeter is so sweet. She answered all of my directional questions and gave me tips for walking around the city. The restaurant has a great ambiance for guests and visitors. The service was also great. The baked feta was amazing with sweet tomatoes, peppers and pistachios. The pasta is very flavorful and their desserts are always great. Add some salmon or chicken to any dish. Stop in to relax and enjoy a quiet meal on your own or at the bar with friendly guests.

Yelp
I dined there twice in two days. I love the steak and the sea bass. But the pine nuts and the spinach is the best.

Yelp
This review is for Santé's afternoon/high tea. Located in The Ritz-Carlton, Santé offers an exquisite afternoon tea experience. I enjoyed every aspect of it, from their exceptional service, delicious treats, high quality teas and posh interior. The elegant atmosphere with soft music was perfect for enjoying a cozy cup of tea. The pastries blew me away. Hats off to their pastry chef - they know how to turn simple treats into something so sophisticated and delectable. My favorite sweets were the coconut cream puff and financier. The delicate cream inside the pillowy puff tasted heavenly. The soft financier paired beautifully with the chocolate and raspberry. The mini fruit tart was also delicious, with fresh fruit and a light custard filling. The macarons were soft and spectacularly crafted. The cranberry scones were very moist and fluffy. I really enjoyed the chicken sandwich, but the rest of the salty snacks were just ok to me. I liked them, but would not order them if I could pick what comes with the afternoon tea. The tiny honey jars were so cute and perfect for the tea (my boyfriend and I got our own tea pots). I can't wait to come back when their menu refreshes to try their other pastries and tea flavors! Highly recommend Santé for a stunning and relaxing afternoon tea experience.

Yelp
Love the vibe of this space. Jose and Dino are AMAZING. Seriously level of service was impeccable. Sea bass was good but I prefer it without crispy skin just me. The spinach with pine nuts and golden raisins was Manhattan spectacular

Yelp
My friend and I went to their holiday afternoon tea a few days after Christmas. It was pricey and there's no option for non-drinkers (the service includes a glass of champagne or a mimosa). The presentation was impeccable, but despite alerting them to food sensitivities, our service came out with the wrong items and they had to take it back to fix that. The egg salad was my favorite followed by the chicken salad. The desserts were well presented and the mini tiramisu layered cake was my favorite. Service was very good and the staff is really friendly. You're definitely paying for the location (it's in the Ritz Carlton), but it was a fun afternoon and they had interesting holiday tea selections.

Yelp
This restaurant is located inside of a hotel and historically I've not had great experiences with hotel restaurants. Sadly, this experience left much to be desired with a hefty tab. The service was fine, our server pleasant and food came out in an appropriate amount of time. This is where the stars get deducted-- nothing we ate taste good. The octopus- was very tough. Yes, octopus is a generally chewy item, but this required a decent amount of piling and tugging to get a bite. The cauliflower soup- our guest didn't take more than few spoons. Cauliflower is a bland vegetable that requires a reasonable amount of doctoring to taste good. The soup was bland. The lamb shank - tender and seasoned well. The accompanying risotto didn't taste like anything at all. The hummus / dip Trio- we were only able to eat one of the dips, the others were just bland and not appetizing. For a tab of over $200 and to not have enjoyed our food or was disappointing.

Yelp
Just landed and had a late dinner. Greeted by great service. The place is still the same, typical hotel lounge. I ordered 2 appetizers, the grilled octopus.and grilled shrimps. The food is fantastic! Now, going up my my room and rest.

Brianna B.

Yelp
We had high tea here to celebrate my good friends up coming wedding. Danielle and Solomon and the whole team made it very special and effortless!! Everything was perfect and we cannot wait to go back to visit them, again. 10/10!

Yelp
Went here for dinner and had a wonderful experience. The service was exceptional and the entrees were delicious. For appetizer, we ordered charcuterie & formageries, grilled octopus, streak tartare. All the items were incredibly fresh and delicious. We ordered, whole roasted branzino, seared scallops and short ribs. The whole branzino was completely deboned which was impressive and easy to eat. The other dishes were perfectly prepared and had depth of flavor. We finished our meal off with baklava inspired Sundae, and chocolate caramel bar. All were incredibly delicious. Can't wait to try more items on our next visit.

Yelp
Back in D.C. for business, I joined my boss and one of his mentors for lunch at Sante. Being at the Ritz-Carlton I expected a little more fancy and flourish to the menu and the surroundings. The lunch menu was really quite short, but it had some interesting choices. My boss chose the open faced shwarma dish and the other two of us had the grilled octopus with potatoes, olives and romesco (tomato) sauce. I've had octopus often enough with nigiri sushi but never grilled. It was really quite good. The sessoning contributed a lot to the flavor. I could have done without the olives or quite so many, but the the romesco was tasty too. Service was kind and attentive but not oppressive. I wonder if dinner is more upscale or if there's another location within the hotel? Nevertheless, I'd happily go back.

Yelp
This is a review of Santé in the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City. I attended a holiday high tea held by Jill's House, a charity serving families and their children with disabilities. A fellow special needs "warrior mom" friend of mine was asked to speak about her family's experience with Jill's House, and I was delighted to attend. They offered free valet parking, which was incredibly helpful during the busy holiday rush. The high tea was held in the private room at the back of the restaurant. There was another event going on in the main dining area which could be a bit loud at times where it was difficult to hear the guest speakers, but on any other ordinary day it would be a lovely room/venue for special events like a baby or bridal shower. The spread of savory canapés and finger sandwiches, as well as sweet desserts, was beautiful. They were served on three-tiered platters (some tall, some wide) and all looked almost so beautiful to eat! I'm glad we decided to dig in, though, because they were delectable! Clear standouts on the savory side were the egg salad triangles and the cutest, tiniest chicken salad sliders. On the sweet side: the thin apple streusel bars, the cream puffs, and the chocolate tarts with edible chocolate snowmen picks on top! Even the macarons were light and airy, very well done! We were served champagne and/or mimosas plus a choice of tea varieties. I ordered the chai, but I must've received the candy cane, so I asked for a replacement. The second pot I was served definitely tasted like a chai, so I'm sure there was just a simple mixup in the kitchen the first time. The serving staff were very polite and attentive. They quietly slipped in/out during guest speakers, and everything was orchestrated very smoothly. It was a lovely afternoon of tea and delicious delectables with some amazing women and a fantastic charitable organization that does incredible work for so many deserving folks. Would recommend Santé for your next event!

Yelp
This was my second experience at afternoon tea, I've been at this location a couple years back but I can seem to remember when, I feel like the portions were bigger. That being said, this experience was great, all the food was tasty, even the ones I expected not to enjoy. The staff super welcoming and friendly, the hostess knew my name upon arrived, took me to my seat and out my napkin in my lap. It seems the location has be renovated to look more modern so lots of beautiful decor. For taste, I would be back,

Wendy B.

Yelp
Santé is a "must do" if you're in the DC area. Chef Fabio and his team take great care and pride in delivering tasty and creative dishes. Some of my favorites are the octopus, Brussels, and the chocolate/snickers dessert. Hyatt was our waitress and she offered great suggestions and special care.

Ambika M.

Yelp
Visited for the first time for the cherry blossom afternoon tea. With notice, we were able to make one tea order vegetarian which was great. The staff were all very kind and helpful. A few disappointing things were slow service and crowded table setting. Also much more casual (dress) than expected.

Elizabeth M.

Yelp
This review is specifically for the holiday afternoon tea experience. My husband and I had a wonderful time with the afternoon tea experience, but it was probably the most expensive non-meal we have had in DC given the 20% gratuity and 10% tax (total check for 2 people came out almost be $200). The bite sized pastries, sandwiches, and scones were delicious and the tea was amazing as well. The service was incredible-from someone calling me days ahead to confirm details, to the hostess, and the wait staff. We were offered mimosas, champagne, juice, all are included in the package. Children were given a teddy bear as a gift. The restaurant is located in the Ritz Carlton so the interior is beautiful, clean, and decorated for the holidays. Ultimately it's a seasonal experience and not an everyday meal, so we thought the price tag is alright (and the lowest compared to other similar experiences in upscale DC hotels).

Dana G.

Yelp
Lovely dinner experience inside the Ritz! The greeter sat us with a pleasant smile in the banquet section. Our server came right away, and I was very happy that he knew what kind of whiskeys, scotches, and other alcohol types they had. The food is delicious and plated beautifully. Highly recommend this spot if you are staying at the Ritz.

Yelp
Recap: "Pretty in Pearls & Lace" Afternoon High Tea@blackgirlscorner @theblackwomancollective If you're looking for a weekend activity besides brunch, THIS is it. You're greeted warmly by staff and escorted into the dining room where all the magic happens. The ambiance is so pretty. Our server, "Elizabeth", was a true gem. She was kind, courteous, and explained each detail of the meal in full detail. You're served a nice tray of homemade savory and sweet options - scones, assorted tea sandwiches, and pastries. My luxury loose-leaf teas tea of choice: Long Island Strawberry green tea w/lush ripe strawberry notes -- So good. Added a few dollops of Dickinson's pure honey, stir and go. It's swank, classy, and well worth your time and money. So grab your fascinators/sunhats, lace gloves, pearls, and your besties (or beau!) and enjoy yourself. Pinkies up! Be sure to check out the cool selfie photo booth outside the lobby (near the restrooms) Outfit and event details... @dcthriftish __ I eat. @f.hux I thrift. @DCthriftish

Yelp
Limited menu but oh the flavors! Had lunch in spring and chose the bass on sautéed spinach with pine nuts and raisins in lemon beure blanc sauce and it was exceptional. The service is good and the ambiance is sophisticated and comfortable. This restaurant is right inside the front entrance to the Ritz Carleton Pentagon city.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I celebrated Valentine's Day a day early this year - he surprised me by treating me to High Tea! It was a very nice dining experience. The service is excellent and the server we had in particular was really accomodating. There is a separate room for the High Tea experience, which is next to the main Santé dining room, but they keep the door closed. They had everything ready for our reservation, at which we arrived promptly! They started us off with asking for our tea orders - each person orders a tea, and we receive a full teapot! The Valentine's Day menu had limited specials. I ordered the "Be Mine Chocolate Strawberry" tea, which was really good. I loved the notes of chocolate and strawberry! It was sweet enough that I did not need to add the honey! We then get a selection of pastries (first level) savory bites (second level), and warm scones (bottom level). For the latter, we are served devonshire cream and fruit spread. They let us know the scones are meant to be dry, hence the cream and fruit spread. The scones were my boyfriend and I's favorite!!! Everything else was also delicious - we devoured it all and finished with full bellies. It was so cute and catered to be in the Valentine's Day spirit! It is a bit pricey but it's worth the experience! I was curious what the tea (leaves) looked like to make my Be Mine tea (like how does it have that note of chocolate that made it so good?!), so he brought out the canister to show me! Everyone at the Santé is friendly, welcome, and accommodating, which makes it a lovely experience.

Yelp
Kids really wanted to do afternoon tea so I obliged and took them to Santé. Pros: - service was excellent! Have nothing to complain about with the service. - kids under 11 are given a stuffed bear to take home. - their scones were the best with their jam and cream they provide. Cons: - price. Pretty pricey for the adults and kids plus they add a 20% service charge. - for the price I paid I wish I would've left full. - wish they offered more than just hot chocolate for the kids in lieu of tea. Juice would've been nice. Overall: This place is really 3.5 's....but I can't round up to 4 because of the cons. I am not a tea person and would never pay this much for afternoon tea again. I can easily make everything at home (except the scones) at a fraction of the cost.

Yelp
Really, really nice - definitely worth checking out. This is a high-end restaurant in the Ritz. It's more or less what you'd expect from the type of restaurant in a hotel like the Ritz - solid options, nothing too esoteric, and everything is executed extremely well. The drinks are good, and the food is both tasty and voluminous. In my opinion, this is a good "safe" option for business dinners or picky dates - it's the kind of place where most folks will find something they like.

Yelp
Staying at the ritz in pentagon city . This restaurant is in the lobby . Came down after a long exhausting day. Seated immediately, perfect quiet corner back next to the cozy fireplace . Table was well appointed and server was with us in less than 2 minutes . Water was filled every 5 minutes or so . Server was knowledgeable and suggested some wonderful things. I mentioned that I was not fond of fennel and she helped me steer clear. Broiled chicken with fig and feta couscous was cooked to perfection . My husband had salmon and thoroughly enjoyed it . We shared the beet and fig salad .. food paring at its finest . We were offered a large selection of alcoholic beverages , but didn't take Part this evening . Looked amazing though . My only draw back was the couple 5 tables down . Poor lady was on a blind date with what seemed to be a narcissist and a blow hard . She never got a word in .. he did this and invented that and wrote A book owned the largest dealership in Reston VA .. and pays for his nephews college " just wrote the $40,000 check . His family this and his family that . When she casually mentioned his first name I was able to google this 2x bankrupt, car salesman ( not owner ) z my hope is that she went to the bathroom and looked him up too ! What a tool bag. And by the way he blew his nose in the cloth napkin .. so there is that fun fact .. I digress ! Best food in town ! We will be back !

Yelp
While staying at the Ritz in Pentagon City, we came here one afternoon/early evening for drinks after shopping, but well before headed out to dinner and BONUS - They have a Happy Hour (they call it "Social Hour") here!! They have a very nice Mediterranean menu loaded with the fun/popular dishes made in an interesting way, but since we were just there for drinks, all we ordered to eat was their olives. The olives were very nice... tasted fresh and we loved the lemon rind freshly grated on top! The grilled bread that came with it was perfectly to help sop up the tasty olive oil! The staff at the bar was very friendly and helpful! They do a nice job with cocktails and they even have a decent wine list, including wine by-the-glass, as they have a machine that holds nice bottles and keeps them at temp and fresh to pour by the ounce. The place has a quiet, cozy vibe and is decorated quite nicely. I look forward to staying at the Ritz again and coming here for sure!

Josh G.

Yelp
We recently visited Sante for afternoon tea. The restaurant is located almost immediately inside the Ritz-Carlton and was located in a dining area off of the main dining room. There was a nice selection of tea available, and we each were able to order a teapot to ourselves. All of the choices sounded good, and it was hard to decide, I opted for the Ginger Turmeric which was pleasant and not too strong. We then received an assortment of items to accompany our tea including scones, savory sandwiches (such as egg salad, ham and cheese, and ratatouille) and pastries (such as financiers). The scones were very good, and I would probably say the financier was my favorite pastry. The savory selections were okay but largely nothing to write home about, indeed they could have had a bit more flavor. The service was very attentive throughout our tea. Overall, I would rate it four stars since the ambiance could have been a little better (the tea room is not in the main dining area and does not have windows) and some of the selections were average. Nonetheless, I wouldn't discount the experience and wouldn't mind returning to try Sante for a regular meal.

Yelp
I invited a colleague and friend to have lunch there and we're both (African-American professionals) who had a negative experience. Two of the doormen looked the other way as I approached the valet entrance and a third man (of Asian descent) immediately approached to help me. He remained pleasant and helpful throughout my experience there. After I asked regarding the location of Sante', one of the other doormen saw my cane and made a joke saying, "It's a long way to the restaurant" despite the fact that the restaurant was immediately inside the hotel. The waiter was friendly enough. My friend ordered a bean soup which she returned although she did enjoy the octopus. I ordered the lentils that were mediocre at best. Having eaten at Mediterranean restaurants in more than five states, I have not impressed with Sante' restaurant and do Not recommend it.

Marianna Y.

Yelp
My bf took me and my parents here for dinner, and we loved it! (Food review at the bottom of this post) Food was all really good and all four of us are picky eaters. We ordered 6 sharable dishes and one main and we liked all of them! You can tell they all have differentiated flavor. The ambience is amazing too, it's sitting right in the nice Ritz Carlton so even at the entrance it feels nice. Inside was really nice too, upscale and modern. Staffs are super nice and our server seemed genuinely proud of their dish! Pricing was amazing as well. I know it is about 1.5 yrs old so maybe (sadly) they might jack up the price once they get more popular, but having 7 diff dishes in a nice restaurant in that location for ~$200 total? Unbeatable. Overall I really enjoyed the place. Hopefully they stay as they are :') ------food review------ From left to right in the picture: Shrimp something : shrimp really good and flavorful.4 pieces + piece of bread, with tomatoes base sauce Charcuterie board: some toasts, mini pickles, roasted nuts, fig jam?, Honeycomb and two diff kinds of cheese and salami. I think it would be much better if we had wine but tonight was a no drink dinner Pumpkin soup - really creamy and homey. Also good amount! Octopus legs - they are THICK and chewy and soft! Mushroom Risotto balls: my table likes this one a bit less, felt a bit bland/dry. But it might be because other dishes were really good! Now the middle.. ROASTED WHOLE BRANZINO: it was AMAZING! Not cheap ($46) but was great. Very soft and juicy, and is very easy to serve(they are deboned). We ate the entire fish and the veggie stuffing/sauce. Highly recommend this if you like fish!(no, it was NOT fishy at all. Could tell it's a good quality fish)

Alexa R.

Yelp
I'm going to try to be as nice as possible, as this place is new. But it really does make you question your sanity when every table around you is being entertained and catered to, and you're left with poor service, empty water glasses, and a tough "medium rare" ribeye steak that was the furthest from medium rare I've ever seen... For a pricier menu like this, you expect quality and class, and this experience lacked all of it and more. Our waiter and managers distinctly passed our table several times, never even acknowledging our presence. It was very obvious that a group of "four affluent" looking patrons were the priority for the entire staff. I'm of the understanding that you should treat all of your guests with the same attention. I think the most frustrating part was this isn't the service you expect at a place of this caliber. I dine out often, and this has got to be the worst dining experience I've had in the DC area. Also- if you're sensitive to noise, this is not the place for quiet dining on a Friday night. You will be shouting at the person across from you.

Yelp
Service is 5 star. Food 4-5, stars depending on your dining expectations. I ordered the grilled sourdough bread, olives, & grilled Salmon. The kitchen accommodated my request for no farro (more vegis). It was delicious. The ambiance is warm and modern. Overall a great dining experience.

Yelp
I love taking my girls to afternoon tea. We usually visit the tea they offer at the Ritz in Tyson's Corner. We learned about this one and wanted to give it a try. First, the service was amazing. The staff was great. We were seated right away and there were two teddy bears seated at the table for my littles. I loved the tea. I tried the wellness tea and the staff offered my daughter a fruity tea that she enjoyed. The only issue I had was with the offerings. The savory bites were a little salty. I did enjoy the chicken salad and shrimp tea sandwiches. The sweets were very rich. The scones with jam were my favorite. It was great and we enjoyed it, but we just prefer the offerings at a Tyson's instead.

Yelp
Food was great, had the steak frittes which were yummy. But I'm really here to talk about the service we received from Elizabeth! She was amazing!! She had great recommendations and was on top of it. Thank you Elizabeth for making our experience a great one!

Yelp
I had nice relaxing afternoon tea experience at Santé. My server Elizabeth was very caring and attentive. As I am pregnant, I was not able to undercooked meat/fish. She accommodated my need very nicely and kindly. Atmosphere is very nice. My husband and I are planning to come back for Thanksgiving dinner this year. Thank you so much!

Yelp
After a long conference day, I needed to head to the mall to run some errands. I was famished but because of dietary restrictions, can't eat at the food mall so I splurged on steaks frites at Sante. Service was spot on, I really enjoyed my bubbly, way too many fries, and the chocolate truffles were a nice finish. Yes, it's pricey - it is the Ritz after all but worth an occasional splurge.

Yelp
This is a review for the Cherry Blossom Tea Experience. This had been going on since March and ended 4/16. There wasn't much about the $75 tea online so I blindly went for the experience. It's a tea service and at best should have been no more than $30. Tea-like atmosphere, but it was warm in the private room and I guess the tea menu was cherry blossom inspired. There was no other indication that this was a cherry blossom tea (no decor or special tea pot). We saw a larger group having their tea in the main dining room. There was more of a vibe, albeit not a tea vibe, but more interesting for a girl group than the private dining room. You get one choice of tea (your own tea pot for about 3 cups of tea), 1 glass of champagne or mimosa, 10 small treats approximately--1/2 sweet, 1/2 savory. Very nice and sweet staff. With tax and automatic gratuity, I spent $100. A lot was left to be desired. At this price there should have been unlimited tea and bites. Understandably, it is a tea and not a feast; the cost just didn't make sense for the value. You can have great experiences around the city for $100. I learned later that valet was included and we didn't know so we walked through the mall and paid their parking fees. The best part of the experience for me was seeing what looked like a girl's birthday party all dressed up for their tea.

Yelp
I stayed at the Ritz Carlton in Pentagon City, and this restaurant is inside the hotel. The ambience is nice, my waiter was kind and professional- even asked my name and used it in conversation with me throughout my time dining there. They also have a good selections and variety on both their drink menu and food menu in terms of entrees and appetizers/bites. I had the South of France Sparkler, which has prosecco, cointreau, lemon mint, and lavender. It was good, but I wouldn't get it again. I think I expected something a bit sweeter. It was also $19, which I thought was a bit high. For my entree I had the 1855 black angus ribeye (cooked medium), which is 12 oz. The flavor in it was INCREDIBLE, it was cooked perfectly to my liking at medium, and it was served with potatoes, peppers, and Brussels sprouts. However, it was $55, which I felt was more expensive than normal for that dish. So while it was a good dining experience and the food/drink was great, definitely worth 4 stars, I probably won't be back due to what I feel were exceptionally high prices.

Yelp
Santé was outstanding! Their staff was super friendly for our large party and very accommodating for anything we needed. Their steak, octopus, and drinks are delicious! Highly recommend everyone to stay at the Ritz and go eat and drink at Santé. I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
I made a reservation for myself and a friend. The tea afternoon was a good experience. There was variety of pastries and mini sandwiches provided. You are able to choose the type of tea you want. The host was friendly and so was the server. It was not a busy Saturday afternoon, easily accessible through metro - Pentagon City Metro Station. The only issue was there were group of women who came in around 2pm and were seated behind me and my friend who were very loud, so my friend and I left shortly after.

Yelp
We went here for an afternoon tea and it was amazing! I took my kids here to celebrate (almost) end of school and to experience a tea time. The staff and setting made it very special for them, they had a blast. Plus it's one of the only places I found that had a kids tea - the teddy bear tea, which they absolutely loved. The staff was very friendly and outstanding service!

Yelp
Ambiance was nice. They stay open late, which is nice because everything else in this town seems to close early. They have a good assortment of surf and turf on menu. I got the salmon, which was recommended by the server. It was just OK. Not sure the pomegranate sauce goes well on non-white fish. Plus, was seared more well than I like. Others in my party got the ribeye and the pan seared bass. Both really enjoyed their dishes. I think my biggest complaint is service was very slow. He was nice, but took a long time for him to come back and take our orders. Food room a long time, And closing out took a long time. I think like many other restaurants, they are short staffed. I can see why they are open until midnight. We got there in the 8:00 hour and didn't get out of there until almost 11:00! It's still a nice place for dinner, just know what to expect.

Yelp
Very elegant for a great price. They have delicious food. There is a bar and quiet area. The seating is comfortable every thing is very relaxing. Servers have great personality and they offer to take pictures for you anytime. They also have great drinks and tea. This is definitely a place I would recommend.

Yelp
Absolutely wonderful experience at Santé this past weekend! I stayed at the Ritz Carlton Pentagon City while visiting my sister who lives in DC. I was tasked with organizing a birthday dinner for her with 15 of her friends. I searched high and low for a restaurant that fit her taste & vibe and couldn't find anywhere in Virginia she would like that could accommodate such a large party with only 2 days notice. After she visited me at the Ritz for dinner she suggested we try to have it at Santé because of the great ambience and delicious food. After speaking with the manager, we had the whole party arranged in a couple of minutes and even organized a custom menu with a special birthday message on it. It was such a wonderful experience and we couldn't have decided on a better place to celebrate my sister! The food was delicious and all our guests thoroughly enjoyed the evening! Special thank you to the manager for being so accommodating. I will definitely return to stay at the Ritz and dine at Santé!

Yelp
I Was disappointed with the restaurant management. Placed my reservation for 10, For my birthday dinner five days in Advance, i was told by assistant manger that the chef was going to put together a limited menu with a special message on top for example happy birthday. (I was looking fwd to this) This did not happen, and I'm one for understanding that things don't always go as planned but not informing me before or during my dinner I found that very unprofessional.

Yelp
I was at almost every Ritz Carlton on the East Coast of the US and this is one of the surprisingly bad experiences I ever had in this class of establishment. First of all we were greeted by really indifferent and uninterested hostess, then I do think that the cocktail menu was poor and uninspired as well as execution of the drinks. Tiny and sour something, called the cocktail for 18 dollars is just ridiculous. Service at the table was ok,they apparently didn't care for decaf teas, only herbal and not black or fruit teas. I never saw this type of limited menu for prices like here,at this point Starbucks have a better choice of teas.Interior is newly renovated and stylish, that's why I gave 2 stars.

Yelp
Giving it 4 for the food and service, ambiance is still that of a hotel restaurant so I'm stopping there. Was here for work and didn't want to go around the corner to matchbox, the new restaurant is open now so figured I'd give it a try despite the two sub par reviews. They hit it out of the ballpark. Food was wonderful. Octopus was cooked perfectly, steaks were delicious. Sides were on point. Service was great. Would happily eat here again. Happy I stayed here for dinner.
