Such a cute and welcoming space. The staff was friendly and they made me and my friend some wonderful mocktails. The food we ordered was great as well. The sauce on the meatballs was great!

This is a little green of a bar in the Pearl. They serve really incentive cocktails and have beers and wine on tap. Check out the food menu, too. They serve tapas-style bites and meat and cheese places that are very tasty. Last but certainly not least, the staff is very friendly and welcoming. They'll make you feel like family as soon as you enter the bar.

Great location, safe place, mixed crowd, good live entertainment. Decent drinks and prices in the heart of the Pearl district downtown Portland. Even lots of parking spots available on a Saturday night free of charge. Very casual and a friendly staff. A LGBTQ and ally place to go.

Went here with my partner this past weekend when visiting Portland. Véronique, the owner, was the most gracious and welcoming person we met while in Oregon. The environment of the bar was extremely welcoming, and we were able to talk to other folks who had come out for the evening. I wish there were more LGBTQ+ spaces like this one. The safest we’ve ever felt at a bar. And the drinks were great too!

A cute cozy local spot that i never knew existed until a friend showed me. The staff were very nice. The drinks were well made, and it was right next to the Park Blocks so it would be a good place to relax for a little bit. Definitely making a return visit.

Super nice staff and good drinks. They had a low-key, relaxed vibe that suited the setting. The bartender our night was a little bit too aggressive soliciting tips. When the couple beside us left, he loudly complained to the other bar patrons that they had only left a 20% tip, and that a 25-30% tip was more common in Portland.

We need more queer bars in town but lord the service here is horrible. Good events. Bad drinks. Worse service.

This place is great. What a perfect way to spend a few hours. It's in a great location in the NW part of Portland. While staying in a hotel nearby we just wandered in for a drink and walked into an Amazing drag show. I think they put this on once a month. The place was hopping and I never laughed so much. We met Veronique the owner and she couldn't have been more friendly and welcoming. Told me about some ambitious redesign plans she has for the space. I know this place has survived everything the pandemic, BLM Riots, and Maga craziness have thrown at the world and deserves to be supported. Will definitely be back next time in Portland. Great bar staff, reasonably priced cocktails, and a super all round vibe. Thanks, Veronique, the staff, and of course the fabulous drag queen ensemble.

Holy cheese balls this bar made my whole weekend! The owner was amazingly sweet and welcoming at this neighborhood watering hole. Walking in felt like that "cheers" feeling that so many of us are looking for. If you're in the area, this place is a no brainer. Step in and Make some new friends over drinks and food.

This is such a great spot. This bar, while not huge, has ample seating and space to grab some food and drinks. We came in pretty early on a Friday evening, and the crowds hadn't shown up yet, so we grabbed seats at the bar and got some red wine (a Pinot Noir - cannot remember what it was, but awesome). The owner, Véronique, was there and hung out with us for some time. She is really the life of the place, and immediately made us feel welcome. Her bar staff was great, too, and made sure we were comfortable. We only got a big shared meat board, but it was HUGE. A really great selection of charcuterie and a very ample portion, to boot. The bartender we spoke with, Hector, made us some custom vodka and tequila drinks that were fabulous - do I remember them? Not at all! They're known for their cocktails, and in a place like this, "bartender creations" are sure wins. Check it out - you'll like the people and the food/drink selection, I am sure. We will definitely be back!

Stopped into this bar to have a few drinks before my train back to Seattle and I was beyond pleasantly surprised by the warmth as which I was received. The owner was running the bar and was very welcoming and attentive. While the fancier specialty drinks were definitely receiving some compliments, I stuck to my usual spiced rum which included a pretty ample serving. I would definitely stop in here again when back in town or waiting for a train! The inside is of a darker design with lights for accents, which I love. There are pieces of art on the walls for purchase and really standout on the dark painted walls. This bar definitely has a good vibe. While I'm not a student anymore, if you show your Current student ID, everyday/time is happy hour! *note I did not explore the food options as I was strictly stopping for drinks.

We happily stumbled upon this amazing establishment. The atmosphere was calm and inviting, the staff was friendly and entertaining. We had a delicious meat sampler tray, as well as some mixed nuts. Great food, and plenty of it for a tapas place. The real mojo here is the drink selection. Hector is an amazing bartender! We had vodka and tequila drinks, and a great house red wine during happy hour. The best part? The owner! Véronique is just a delight. A new friend, and we immediately loved her and her bar.

I was there last night for the first time on a recommendation of a friend and I loved it! It's a super cute little bar with impeccable customer service, craft cocktails, good cider, and snacks! We even got a free Blue Star donut thanks to some other generous customers! We felt so welcome and had a great time laughing it up with some of the other people at the bar. Heather made to sure to remember our names and we even got them to put the L Word on the big screen! I would highly recommend this bar and will definitely be back!

I just had the best experience at Sante! I am here on business and was looking for a delicious cocktail before dinner. I happened into Sante and ended up staying for two drinks. The menu is thoughtfully crafted and unique. I was served by one of the owners and she crafted my second cocktail based on my favorite drink ingredients. She was such a lovely person and great conversation. If I lived in Portland, I would be drinking at Sante every week!!

Fantastic! Homemade infusions, shrubs and syrups. All original recipes, great atmosphere, super friendly. Craft cocktail heaven! And they stay open when others don't!!!

We stumbled upon this bar by accident, and had one of the best times ever. Mixologist Chris, got creative making unique drinks for each of us. What a fun night. We'll definitely come back. The ambiance is nice and intimate with interesting art covering the walls.

An excellent bar! The cocktails were very smooth and finely crafted--I had the Squeeze and the Nibble One and enjoyed both a great deal. My wife had the Tip a Few and...another one we can't remember now, and also enjoyed both. Aside from the delicious cocktails, the atmosphere was great. It felt really natural and easy to talk to the bartender and the other guests--several of whom were his sisters, but everyone was chatty and friendly and seemed to accept us immediately. It was also nice to feel like it was a safe space as a queer couple.

Stay cozy a little nook, yet upscalish Enough I think to swing by for a drink before going out no matter who your with. I remember them as having interesting art.

There once was a bar from Portlandia, Whose employees are so very grandia. They make our drinks with care, So I feel compelled to make everyone aware, To visit and buy a beer or a cider or a mixed drink or five, Because alcohol is one of the reasons you and I are alive. So come on down, you'll have a good time, Just listen to the words in my rhyme. Word up!

You're not going there for food. You're going for cocktails...and cocktails only. Not only will you meet one of the best bartenders in town (Aaron), you'll also get an education about your drink. Aaron crafts most of his additives (bitters, shrub, etc.) and is usually happy to discuss all of the ingredients going into your drink. The best idea is to give him a few ideas of what you like and to let him go to work. You might not get the same drink twice...but it will be great. He also collects vintage liquors and will have select nights where he creates cocktails with those old-timey bottles, such as a 1926 Vermouth or an 1874 (yes - 1800's) Port. You'll never see those combinations again. I wanted to take one star off because he's a Red Sox fan...but they've already suffered enough.

1st time here! Hector severed me today! Good Stuff man! He knew what drinks I wanted with no hesitation, great time management! 5 stars!!! I just wish they took Song Requests, it's something that I love in bars personally.

So cute - love it. Went after work with some co-workers. Seems to have a neighborhood or regular following which is always good. We didn't try any food but the drinks were good, great service, the bar tender was this really cool chick and the atmosphere is amazing. So much great art and also the music. It was just perfect to sit and have some wine, de-stress and hang out. I would certainly return again and think it would perfect on a late stormy afternoon. Cheers.

Small, cozy bar, kind of grungy across from the Park Blocks. Service was very slow, only one employee and food was unimpressive. We had a meat and cheese plate that was "blah" and about $23. The cocktails were good but they offer only one type of wine. Red or white!

The owner was the bartender and he greeted us warmly as we came in and then came over and spoke to us a few times during our visit. He had a 1951 Korbel brandy that was so smooooth..... Great intimate neighborhood bar with great music and a fun vibe. The owner's passion is refreshing, and he's an interesting guy. My new favorite place!

For a town muddied by "craft" cocktails, Santé brings an expertise to the stick unlike any other haunt in town. I'm happy to finally find a refreshing and experienced mix in Portland. See Aaron or Sara if you'd like to actually enjoy a properly produced cocktail. Don't forget the deviled eggs!

New fave downtown bar! Super-friendly bartender Aaron made us custom drinks all evening long, we just told him which spirits we liked. He's got some really creative and special tricks up his sleeve! Great music, friendly and knowledgable bartender (Aaron), and the owners (Heather and Veronique) are amazing. I went for their live music and was pleasantly surprised by all of the friendly people I met there. I ended up chatting with Veronique for a while. She runs lots of fund raisers and is a very well-connected force of good in the community. Stop by for a nice atmosphere, good drinks, and beautiful music! Definitely a new favorite spot

Great atmosphere and drink options! The staff are super friendly and take great care of you. They have events happening almost every night so this is a great option for a date or a spontaneous after work drink!

WE LOVE SANTE' Finally....my favorite neighborhood hangout! Great food,fun events,wonderful staff, french music, the mixologist is highly skilled and makes sure everyone gets to try new things....They also have some nice wines. The owner has great energy and creates events that are socially concious but fun. The different musical venue varies as does the art.

This is a lovely intimate place to have a delicious cocktail ( I recommend the bartenders roulette, where you choose the spirit, and Aaron makes a delicious concoctions, that fit your flavor profile) There is a large table for a group, and smaller tables. All the chairs are armless. (big deal for bigger folks) They have a nice winelist and small food menu to enjoy with your drinks. Everyone here is wonderful Enjoy your visit!

I don't know why you're reading this review and not just at Santé drinking a cocktail right now. This place is awesome. I ordered the bartender's roulette and mentioned that I enjoy Manhattans and Old Fashioneds. In about 30 seconds I received one of the best cocktails I've had in Portland. The bartender is great, the atmosphere is of a laidback neighborhood bar despite being on the park blocks, and soon they will have a giant TV showing the Blazers. Love this place!

It seems to be nice place but if you want good service and nice drinks dont bother going there as the place is run by a single person who is the bartender/waiter/cook.

Boyfriend and I randomly happened in here on 4/18/16 on our second date. Our very skillful bartender, Jason, was beyond charming. We didn't eat anything this time, but our cocktails were absolute perfection and the conversation with Jason was delightful. I've rarely felt so welcome and comfortable in a new-to-me spot. We didn't want to leave, and we will *definitely* be back again.

Absolutely my favorite place in the Pearl to grab a drink. The owners are absolutely wonderful, the rotating art is always interesting and makes for a great ambiance. The prices on everything are really reasonable. Been to a few events and the space really compliments conversation and the Tuesday open mic!!!

The bartender was very unfriendly and SLOW. Gave us a short pour on the wine, because it was the end of a bottle, and then charged $12 for mediocre wine. $6 for a can of beer? Please! No need to go back...
