I enjoy coming here from time to time, but today was exceptional!! Ivan was perfectly attentive and offered a great customer service experience!!!! I tried their chicken pozole for the first time and it was beyond delicious! I love hominy and it was loaded with it!!! It’s super convenient to neighborhoods near 620 in Round Rock. The margaritas are perfect!! Thank you for a wonderful experience!!!!

Google
Getting my car serviced next door … they recommended Santiago’s, so popped over, enjoyed a Wedn special on a Mexican Martini & my waiter suggested a chimichanga. Glad I had a wait time at the brake shop, food is yummy, including salsa & a good martini! Stop in & enjoy! Friendly staff too! Next week (today), getting new front brakes & am back at Santiago’s … having a delish Mango Margarita! And I gotta say … their salsa has to be the tastiest, the freshest and packed with garlic, cilantro and onion. Nothing TexMex about this salsa … it’s the bomb! If I lived closer, I’d be here every chance I got! Again, friendly staff who have treated me very well. Grateful! Keep up the great teamwork, keep serving that delish food & those drink specials … YUM!!

Very family oriented, clean atmosphere, food was great, chips and salsa tasty. Prices were decent in today’s market.

Google
This is authentic, home cooked Mexican food. Everything from the chips and killer salsa to the food was perfect. I had a plate called Uno that had queso puff and ground beef taco. The 2nd plate had enchilada, 2 tamales, rice, beans. The chili gravy with that dish was spectacular. Everything tasted fresh and the flavors were perfect. Service, atmosphere, authentic Mexican music all worked together to provide a great earring experience. Highly recommend!!!

Google
We found Santiago’s to be a reliable no-frills spot for a great Tex Mex meal. Menu had an excellent variety and the service was dependable as well. Nicely located, inviting space with high ceilings, tasteful decor, and ample parking.

Google
Best sangria margarita in town! Excellent food and the botana platter is enough to feed 2 people for dinner. Always a drink special that rotates! The old fashioned is so smooth! Good is prepared fresh and served hot! Amazing customer service!

Google
We love the food and margaritas! Such a large menu and the staff is always so attentive. I recently went there for my birthday and they did a fun birthday song and made it feel very special. We love this place!

Yelp
Good atmosphere, great drinks for happy hour. Food was pretty good, solid price and good portions. Overall a great experience

Yelp
Good. Perfectly fresh and soft chips. Great service and ambience. Honestly thought the salsa was just okay but the creamy ranch jalapeño salsa was terrific. We had plates with fajita beef (yummy), pork (great), and chicken (ok). Overall 4 stars and bookmarked for return.

Yelp
Stopped by Santiago's (I 35 location) for lunch while running errands in Round Rock. Ordered off the lunch menu (cheese enchiladas and the Tex-Mex plate). Solid fare, very much in line with what we expect from Central Texas Tex-Mex joints. Service was fine, as was the atmosphere. I'm sure we'll be back.

Yelp
I have high standards when it comes to my TexMex food, having grown up in San Antonio where there's a Mexican/TexMex restaurant on every other street corner. With that being stated, I think I might have finally found my go to TexMex restaurant here in the Round Rock area. The staff were friendly, the food was delicious and reasonable priced. They also have daily drink and/or food specials. But don't just take my word it, find out for yourself.

Yelp
we've been to this location at least 2 or 3 times. the drinks were ok. The posole was good but quite salty. The fajitas were waaay too fatty and chewy for me to ever order them again. The mexican combo plate was pretty fair but the beans were kind of bland. I do enjoy the ambiance of the outdoor seating area though. The ambiance is really what gets peeps to come back.

Yelp
Several times throughout the meal I said "I love their food." This is a solid place to grab dinner. Started off with Queso and their creamy jalapeño dip. Queso is thick and cheesy! Their chips are light and crisp! It's been a while since I've had a meal this good. If we lived in the area, we'd be here often. Great food and service with a casual atmosphere.

Yelp
Food was...meh, could get the same from taco bell. Drinks were bad, lots of mix made it unpleasant to drink, drink even drink em we sent em back. The fajita was very dry, and salty.

Yelp
Why you reading this git in your car and go. Everything was really awesome. I thoroughly enjoyed dinning here AND YOU WILL TO.

Yelp
Food: we got chicken quesadillas, and they were excellent. Fresh tortilla, great cheese and guacamole, and yummy meat. Everything felt fresh and was cooked properly. We ate the pumpkin it was super yummy. I think it is seasonal. Service: The guys were very friendly and attentive. It was obvious that it was a team work and the manager was around checking on us. Ambiance: Casual and good for small groups and Price: super fair for food Quality and quantity.

Yelp
Great happy hour. Frozens are very good. Service is always good even though it does get busy during peak dining. Great family run restaurant. Never had a bad experience here. Great staff. Taco Tuesday is one of my favorites

Yelp
Been super excited for the mexican restaurants since moving to Texas and this one didn't disappoint! Walked right in with no wait. Good service and ambiance. Enjoyed the chimichanga, rice and beans. Not used to seeing a yellow cheese sauce but it was still good! Looking forward to going again!

Yelp
I am completely appalled by the feedback i have received from this company!! I have never been so disappointed in humanity and the education system until I received the following messages from THE OWNER, VANESSA E. Originally I posted that this company does not have the right to pick and choose which disabilities people have in order to have their service animal, as the sign states at their outlet location. They are not the ADA and do not make the laws. I have since reported them to the ADA and encourage everyone with a service animal to please go to these places and report them if the laws are not being followed!! The last email I received stated that "I needed to get the help I need. SO NOT ONLY ARE THEY DISCRIMINATING AGAINST CERTAIN TYPES OF DISABILITIES, THEY ARE POKING FUN AGAINST MY DISABILITIES!!! WOW!!!
google avatar

Cecilia T.

Yelp
The food and service is always great. Their chips are some of the best I've had. And I never feel rushed when I go there.

Yelp
I have a confession. I have replaced Chuys with Santiago's. Not only do they have creamy jalapeño but they have a bigger menu and the food is just as delicious. It's a local secret! The servers are so nice and the place is always hoppin! pro tip: Wednesday is $5 Mexican martini night. So good I literally keep a weekly reminder on my google calendar to go. Yeah. That. See pics. 2nd pro tip: there is a section of their restaurant that is perfect for a large party dinner of 10-15z if your planning a large outing, this could be a great spot for ya.

Yelp
This is an excellent place to bring big groups. I came here for a work lunch where we celebrating various birthdays and met up with former coworkers. We had checked in a few days before and we're instructed to call ahead to confirm the big group. We arrived and they were ready for us. It was at around 11 am on a Tuesday and it wasn't too busy. They weee able to take our orders in an orderly way and we're able to accommodate different dietary restrictions like vegetarian, pescatarian and gluten free. I ordered the enchiladas Suiza and they were very creamy, well seasoned and overall very good. I would order this again. We also had some of the fried ice cream as dessert and i didn't like it. The fried batter was cold and soggy and it made the ice cream taste greasy. All of us in the big group were pleased with our food so I would definitely come back again.

Yelp
Customer Service is a BIG deal for me and sad to share that we walked in and walked right back out as we definitely did not feel welcome by the host when we approached the host stand; he didn't greet us, we told him 3, he didn't say anything just grabbed menus and walked away. He didn't say anything like "follow me" even when we asked if we follow him he didn't respond so we told him we would rather take our business elsewhere. I don't expect a red carpet rolled out for me but it definitely feels so much better when you know a business values your business and at least can say "Hi!"

Yelp
HEADLINES: Don't move ANYTHING on the little square 4x4 table. I took some of my workers to lunch. we all sat down and the table tent was on the side of the table we were sitting at. I move the tent to the next open table and the waiter put it back on the table in between two of us like it was BEFORE we sat down. I finally move it again out of the way and put it on the ground. The waiter got really mad! I was not paying attention was talking with my crew did not know he was talking to me. The waiter decided to not server just me. for moving the table tent out of our we. WE LET AND WILL NEVER RETURN. DO NOT GO HERE I AM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO HAD AN ISSUE WITH THEM.

Yelp
Delicious, fresh food with a lovely, generous staff. Very clean. This is my family's favorite neighborhood spot!

Yelp
This restaurant is a hidden gem in the north Austin community! I first visited Santiago's as a "farewell-to-summer" dinner with my teacher colleagues. As I walked in, I was already impressed with the cleanliness of this venue. I ordered a frozen pineapple margarita, and this is one of my top five favorites! The drink included fresh pineapple, but if you don't like pineapple, there are several other delicious choices. I ordered a sour cream chicken enchilada, with rice and beans, including a pleasantly surprising large portion for a greedy girl like myself. The chicken and tortillas were fresh, well-seasoned. Our steaming hot food arrived quickly, and the service was outstanding. The waitstaff was attentive to the guests, and it was obvious how this placed keeps customers coming in. I can't wait to return! Highly recommended.

Yelp
Swirl mango margarita, chicken guacamole enchiladas, tres enchiladas were great, seems guacamole serving tiny. Swirl was whole mango. Overall fair price for the quality. Nice family friendly atmosphere. Full bar available

Yelp
If I had to choose my favorite Mexican place, this will be it so far for northern Austin area. The food is comforting and the alcoholic drinks are good. I like that they have a happy hour on certain drinks depending on the day of the week. It's not too expensive here as well and the wait staff is very friendly and proactive. Chips and salsa are free and endless! Has a bit of a spice to the salsa but nothing too bad if you can handle a little bit of heat. Portions are very generous and I was able to share with my husband no problem but if I was actually starving then we would need to order a second meal. For sure there would have been left overs to be taken home if that was the case. I will come back to try more of their dishes as everything I have seen so far looks really tasty. Thursdays are cucumber margaritas! 4 stars friends.

Yelp
Great location. We're here every Wednesday night for Mexican Martinis and dinner. We love the drinks and the food. We have had the same wonderful waitress for the last couple years. She just recently left, so we are a little sad. She was major reason we came here. Their chips and salsa is really delicious too We try something different just about every time. Love it!!

Yelp
Good morning to all and this is my family's go-to place for street tacos (yes, even on days that aren't Tuesday believe it or not )... They are always super friendly and attentive, and I was SO happy to hear that they opened a second location. (Old news now, but I hadn't made the time to leave them a review)... We always go to the location on 620 and there usually isn't a long wait, everyone is friendly and the bar is always on it - I'd you want to grab a drink while you wait (generally don't wait long enough to grab that drink though I've seen others do so). While it's not the fanciest place the ambiance is great for some delicious food and great service! While I have tried other items from their menu, the way they season (or whatever other culinary magic they perform to) their meat on the street tacos - wow!!!! Enjoy and support a locally owned business - you won't regret it!!!

Yelp
Don't be fooled by the reviews from this place. Definitely not worthy of 4 stars or anything close to that. Beef Fajitas had a fish like taste to them and the service was horrible. Asked for silverware and napkins at least 3 times before we got someone to finally bring us some. We had a big party so this review was given with that in mind and trying hard to write something nice on here. Don't recommend.

Sowmya K.

Yelp
Food was meh .. service was ok. It was just very below average Tex Mex and there are definitely better spots. Tried it cause it was locally owned

Cyn B.

Yelp
Small neighborhood restaurant. Drinks are terrible. Food and service is adequate and filling. Lots of regulars because food is consistent.
google avatar

Jarrad S.

Yelp
Food is good, service is quick, beers are cold and margaritas are legit. Can get a little busy, but the 620 location is always a great option.

Yelp
The good: chips and salsa were great. My daughter likes the quesadillas and she wasn't disappointed. The bad: the server was not friendly and seemed bothered and pissed off. My whole family noticed this. I ordered an appetizer as my entre...forgot the name but it's chicken, cheese, jalapeño, wrapped in bacon and dipped in batter. Got the food and the outside seemed done and the cheese melted, but the bites were pretty chewy. They were so chewy I thought they likely substituted ham for bacon (bait and switch??). After taking one apart (I got 5 or 6 total), I saw the bacon was not only NOT crispy, but pink and white and rubbery and damn near uncooked. I ate 4 of them already thinking it was ham, and now realized I ate undercooked bacon. I told my family we will never be back. If they serve undercooked pork (dangerous) and cannot master bacon, then not patronizing them again. Disgusting. Mad at myself for eating 4 before investigating further.

Yelp
I love this place! It's delicious and not disappointed in any food options! The atmosphere is fun and friendly! The staff is super amazing and Alex is hands down the best!!!

Yelp
I have to say this is the first time I wasn't in love with this restaurant. We come at least once a month and always leave happy. We came for brunch today and I ordered my usual chilaquiles with tomatillo sauce and sub beef fajita meat for the shredded chicken. Our server didn't understand my ask which I have ordered in the past many times. My order arrived with 3 little strips of fajita meat on the side. I don't mind paying extra for this sub when I actually get a decent portion. Next time we will ask for a different server. We were with another couple so I didn't make a big deal. This is still a fantastic tex mex restaurant and we will keep coming back.

Yelp
Nice and quiet place with very understandable and polite stuff. Decent food and good beer. Good price. Would say it's 4++, so let's round it to 5:)

Yelp
We have frequented Santiago's on FM 620 many many times over the years. We actually followed Chuy from Mesa Rosa to Santiagos. Last night I placed a to-go order that included an order of sopapillas. When we got home I noticed the sopapillas were not in the bag and contacted the restaurant to see if they could refund the $8. The manager told me there was nothing he could do, claimed the food item had been packed and if I wanted further assistance I would need to contact the manager in the morning. So I did just that today. That manager also accused me of lying about receiving the food item, refused to assist me and refused to put me in touch with the GM. His tone was extremely condescending and dismissive. I finally called over to the Round Rock location to try and get in touch with the GM and the manager over there at least apologized for the situation. Took me three phone calls to even get an apology. The owner and managers at 620 still refused to help me in any way. They lost a loyal customer over $7.99 sopapillas because of they way they handled this situation. I was told I would receive a $10 gift card but I will be gifting that as I refuse to spend even another dime of my money in a Santiago's establishment. In this current economy where eating out has become such a luxury, I would think you would take care of the customers that are frequenting your establishment and helping you keep your doors open.

Yelp
Went on last Friday night and it was packed at 7pm. Seated by a table of 5 adolescent males whose parents were conveniently seated on the opposite side of the restaurant. Soooooooooooooooooo incredibly loud in this restaurant, exacerbated and amplified by our seating. NOT recommended for quiet, relaxing or getting away from the bustle. Food was okay, but Mesa Rosa is MUCH more relaxing and quiet!!!!

Yelp
Currently dine in is open. Although I was surprised they were not using disposable paper menus. I really like this place. Lunch menu (M-F from 10;30-3pm)is a good value and the chimichanga and flautas are really good. I didn't have the flautas but my friend did and he liked them. The chimichanga was awesome. The lunch special does come with rice and beans or you can upgrade to mixed veggies for $1.50 more. Staff was fast, friendly and efficient. Of course, like most tex-mex places you get chips and salsa and those were also good.
google avatar

Summer C.

Yelp
You HAVEEEEEE to order the Chile RELLENO with Carnitas inside of it!!!! It's the best chili rellenó I've ever had. Ohh my gawd. I'm not exaggerating....but I might be pretty buzzed from my grande delicious skinny Cadillac margarita! I definitely recommend both!
google avatar

Yelp
It's a nice place we enjoyed our dinner here. Great food, good prices overall good vibe.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I came here on a whim for lunch, and it was cute. We enjoyed dining on the patio. Fun, open covered space. All in all, we had Great Service and good food.

Yelp
We really like this place! Food is very good. Usually seated right away. Service is always fast.

Yelp
The food is really good and good portions! The service is super but the best is the music!!! I love the ambiance.

Yelp
Recommended by a teacher friend as we planned a lunch, Santiago's is amazing! I write as a self-described authority on San Antonio-style Tex-Mex. Salsa made in house, complete with fresh leaves of cilantro (mild, then - wait for it! the perfect spicy kick). Tortilla chips also made in house, I'm guessing, and a unique feature: patrons can substitute vegetables for the rice or beans (or both). One of our party was kind enough to share a taste of her rice. Demonstrating enormous self-control, I did NOT snatch her plate to gobble every grain. Never in my life have I enjoyed enchiladas verdes filled with chunks of chicken: not shreds, not microscopic bits, but forkfuls of gorgeous chicken rolled into corn tortillas. It will be difficult to try other menu items. I may ask for more tomatillo sauce next time. Winner, winner, go to Santiago's for dinner! (And breakfast, and lunch, and dinner again the next night...)
google avatar

Txasnani A.

Yelp
Good service. Cheese enchiladas are delicious. Not too crowded. Quesadilla was great too

Jess M.

Yelp
We love the food and we bring everyone from out of town to eat here. My only complaint is when the bar salts the rim of your margarita or beer, they use table salt rather than lime margarita salt. I'm not trying to nit pick, but it's an easy fix and makes the margarita so much more enjoyable.
google avatar

Ximena S.

Yelp
This restaurant became so popular in the neighborhood and more so during the pandemic, however I think they are overrated: the portions are large but lack of flavor and their vegetarian options are pretty limited. They like to add LOTS of cheese to everything and that doesn't sit right with our bodies (you get the idea). The place is usually very busy and they have messed up our take out order more than once. Would recommend it only if you don't really care about flavor but like sizable portions.
google avatar

Jennilee H.

Yelp
I love their food. They have good margaritas and the best chips and salsa around. The 620 location is a wonderful neighborhood place. The University Drive location has a great patio and very friendly service
google avatar

Yelp
DO NOT ODER MIMOSAS at this restaurant! I ordered a mimosa for my wife and one for me. I ask the server to make it a double, on saves time and less work for them. Then I ordered same thing again 2 mimosas make them a double. HERE COMES THE HORSE SQUEEZE, I was charged for 4 mimosas no problem that is what I drank. HOWEVER, how the hell do you charge and up charge of $8.00 for that!
google avatar

Tim C.

Yelp
They serve pozole, chicken or pork, every day of the week, and it's very tasty. My wife got a bowl and it was huge, she's happy 'cause she has plenty to make her a grrreat bowl for supper. She also got and shared one solo ground beef enchilada. I had and loved the ground beef chimichanga with refried beans and rice...I did not have any leftovers. We shared a mango margarita, it really hit the spot.

Yelp
I went to Santiagos for lunch today. I left my phone at home or I would have taken photos. Today I ate the beef enchilada lunch special which had two ground beef enchiladas, rice, beans, and of course chips and salsa. This is the first time I have tried their beef enchiladas, as I am normally a cheese enchilada kinda guy. I was very impressed with them. I asked for onions on them, but I couldn't really taste or see any, so I am not sure they handled my minor modification request accurately. Rice and black beans were good and their very mild salsa was fresh and tasty. I took home a large amount of chicken tortilla soup for tomorrow. It was a very generous portion that could easily serve 2-3 ppl. I will order there beef enchiladas again as well as their chicken tortilla soup.

Joanna K.

Yelp
Food is priced high but the atmosphere is nice. It's never too crowded when we go and they have great drinks
