"Santioni’s Italian Restaurant is located a strip mall in Fleming Island and has been open for almost 20 years. The dinner-only restaurant serves up classic Italian-American fare like lasagna and baked ziti. For something a little more hearty, consider the eggplant parmigiana, which is a guest favorite at the restaurant. The dish starts with sliced eggplant that’s been graded and fried before being topped with red sauce and cheese. It’s served with a side of spaghetti marinara and a soup or salad. No matter the dish, know that the servings are large, and there will likely be leftovers for the next day too." - Megan duBois

Went for the first time and absolutely loved it! The bread here is dangerous you could literally eat a whole basket to the face! The service was quick, fast and very nice. Great Italian-American restaurant!

Took my niece out for her birthday, it was our first time dining here. The hostess was welcoming and polite and seated us quickly (we had a reservation). Immediately we could tell that the atmosphere was so quiet and relaxing, even as it started to pick up with people arriving and the pianist began to play. The waitstaff was very quick and attentive from start to finish when it came to taking orders and removing dishes as we finished each course. We didn’t get to fully enjoy the main course as there was already so much food from the courses/appetizer beforehand and the dinner portion was massive. I’m going to tell you right now, don’t shy away from the price of the pasta dishes, there is enough for dinner and multiple leftover meals. What we did get to try tasted wonderful, chef Alan is an AMAZING chef! Needless to say, I can’t wait to go back. Highly recommend the stuffed mushrooms, Mostaccioli Santioni and the When In Rome!

Google
Such a nice little place that's clearly popular, so come early or make sure you have a reservation! Popped in for a light meal and we're definitely coming back for more. Chris and the staff are attentive and service is generally quite prompt for whatever you order. Can be a bit busy for date night, but is still a great place to dine alone or in groups.

Live piano music at 6 was wonderful!! Dinner was scrumptious!! We had a couple of cocktails- Sardinia Seas and The Sinatra. Then, the Veal Marsala made guten free and with gluten-free pasta Alfredo.. the Marsala sauce was rich and full-bodied.. full of mushrooms! Then also we had the lasagna, which was very good - a little on the acidic side on the sauce.. the atmosphere was quaint..very warm and relaxed.. we will drive the 45 min to come here periodically!!

Google
This is my favorite Italian restaurant! The servers are always very kind and helpful. The food is always amazing - the rolls are my favorite! I've had pasta dishes and pizza and all have been so tasty. I love the atmosphere, it's smaller but cozy inside and the piano being played in the background always makes me so happy. I highly recommend!(:

Google
Great warm atmosphere and classic Italian food. We had mussels, capreses salad, and the chicken parmesean- all were great. A warm and casual homey place with ambient piano - would recommend!

Google
Normally food is exceptional. But the linguine with clam sauce was bland, no flavor. The special, Grouper, was very good. The server took until end of meal to check to ask if we needed anything, which we did. We would have enjoyed a second drink with our meal. We got dessert. Salted caramel cheesecake was very good. Chocolate cake was dry. Disappointing meal and service overall. Has always been great in past so will try again.

Have been wanting to try this restaurant for awhile. Arrived on a Wednesday evening at 7:15 PM, immediate seating. Started with the Crab Stuffed Mushrooms, which were tasty, almost tasted like chicken soup topped with cheese, but had no discernable crab. We ordered the Chicken Parmesan to split. For an up-charge of $6, they'll split an entrée and you get an additional starter of soup or salad, so we got one of each to try. The Italian Wedding Soup was delicious, and the side salad was crisp & fresh. Loved the house Balsamic Dressing. I didn't have the menu when I spontaneously ordered a side of meatballs, which for me, that's how I rate an Italian restaurant. They come two to an order, and are average size, about an inch & a half in diameter. The menu online says $4.50, but we were charged $8.00. They were good, not too much filler, nicely seasoned. The sauce was very dark, extremely acidic, tasted over-reduced. The chicken Parm was good, cooked nicely, surrounded in the dark, acidic sauce. We did have to request rolls, which were house-made and fantastic. Service was otherwise impeccable, our waiter AND runner were both friendly & attentive. The pianist was charming and provided a nice ambiance. We're looking forward to returning to try some of the other dishes.

Yelp
The food was amazing!!! Our whole table got a veal dish and they were all so so tasty. So much flavor! Everyone really enjoyed their meal. It's very nice they can do gluten free accommodations as well as we have 1 in our party who has that need. Our server was also serving for a 40+ person rehearsal dinner and still made such a point to take such great care of us! This was our first time here & we were celebrating a birthday - we will definitely be back.

Yelp
We were impressed by this unassuming little restaurant in a strip mall south of Jacksonville. This is old school classic Italian. Warm hospitality, generous plates of delicious food in a comfortable environment. Dinner started with complimentary bread. Delicious little "rolls" that were similar to Focaccia. We gobbled down the entire basket and our waitress brought more. Even more surprising is that soup and salad is included with many of the entrees! Considering that, we thought the prices for cocktails and entrees were fair. We stuck to the classics like meatballs, eggplant parm and shrimp scampi. Everything we tried was delicious, and their tomato sauce was very good. The key lime pie for dessert was classic Florida, but they also offer more traditional Italian desserts. Highly recommend you give this place a try!

Yelp
My family comes here often for birthdays and celebrations and have been for many years. While the restaurant is a bit pricey the food is normally spot on and fantastic! Something seemed to be off in the kitchen last night and Im thinking they were just a bit overwhelmed due to a large group event. The high note was the appetizers. Stuffed mushrooms, mussels, and salads (all delicious). Unfortunately 3 of our 6 main courses were very bland. White sauce and linguine was nearly tasteless. Shrimp and scallops were overcooked. Dining room staff were amazing and provided replacements and alternatives for our dinners which greatly improved our experience. After so many years of good food and great service we will return!

Becky G.

Yelp
This is my all time favorite Italian restaurant. Tonight's dinner was no different from our past experiences. My husband had a clam chowder soup to start and said it was the best one he has had. The garlic bread are little dreamy pockets of dough with a crisp outside and chewy inside. Everything tasted fresh and was served at the perfect temperature. We got a slice of almond tiramisu to go which ended up being eaten as soon as we got home. Reservations are highly recommended since this Italian gem is not a secret. It's a great place to go on a date or bring the family for a nice dinner, complete with a pianist playing in the background.

Yelp
I have been wanting to try this place for quite a while! My entire experience there was nothing less than perfect. My perfect dining experience will include white tablecloths, nice music, great food, a beautiful atmosphere, and great weight staff! Santionis hit the mark on all counts! I was so impressed. Everything was delicious, the music was beautiful, the place was beautiful, the ambience spot on! The dessert was to die for! Everything was clean, clean! What a nice surprise! Count me in as a regular from this moment on! You will not be disappointed. A great value as well!

Michael S.

Yelp
Hands down this is one of the best Italian restaurants in the area. The food has never been anything but fantastic and the wait staff really goes above and beyond. With a pianist playing light chamber music this is an idea spot for that intimate dinner. If you have a large group they have a banquet room for larger groups.

Denice L.

Yelp
Great food but high prices , great service small but sweet place They will adjust if you want the side.

Nancy P.

Yelp
The restaurant atmosphere was very nice and the staff were welcoming and friendly. They have wonderful reviews and it was our first time eating there. That being said their food just didn't live up to all those five star reviews in our opinion.

John T.

Yelp
We ate here once about 15 years ago but stopped eating out for a while and then so many other places closer to us opened so we just forgot about it. So, stopped in for dinner to see how the food was after 15 years. The food didn't disappoint but be prepared to spend bit more for that and the great service. Dale was our caretaker and take care of us he did. Very astute with the menu choices and his recommendations were excellent on the wine and prep of my wife's filet. We had calamari as an appetizer which was simple and good tasting paired with marinara sauce. For the meal my wife had the 7oz Cajun Filet Mignon which she said was very good flavored and super tender. A side of spaghetti and marunaraauce complimented the meal. My wife asked for a sweet wine and Dale selected a great tasting Mosacato. I had the blackened Grouper. It was super tender and spiced perfectly. Also came with a side of spaghetti and marinara sauce. Service was impeccable and the food was great. Will definitely be back for more. Dying to try the lasagna and the table behind us had a medium calzone. It was as big as a medium pizza tray and they said it tastes great! I hear the large will feed a family of 6!! Who wouldn't go back just to try that

Yelp
Santioni's has been an iconic landmark in the Orange Park and Fleming Island areas for decades. The best Italian cuisine in the town with authentic Mediterranean and Italian dishes and exceptional salads too. Cozy ambiance and live music that makes for an enchanted evening.

Guy C.

Yelp
I had the Chicken Frangelica which was a nightly special. It was outstanding. Two pounded chicken breasts with a generous portion of mushrooms and a brown sauce - a flavor I've really never had exactly - earthy with a background mild sweetness. The dish included mashed potatoes and they sprinkled fresh parm cheese on top. The fresh warm rolls they provided I just couldn't stop eating - amazing! And I had a nice side salad which was a perfect combo. Nice, elegant ambiance with background piano music. Definitely recommend the spot!

Yelp
So, I went back a second time with my wife to the restaurant. But this time it didn't seem consistent with our first experience. I got the dish my wife got last time and it seem like there wasn't hardly any sauce is mainly just like an oily type of liquid with some seasonings of pepper flakes, and so forth I didn't look like much of a sauce to me. I try to bite of hers the last time I went, and it was much better that time from my recollection. This time she ordered a Marsala dish and it was fine but instead of the default Alfredo pasta, she got their spaghetti marinara and she wasn't too happy with it. It seems their standard marinara sauce isn't very good. For some reason. I know at least one other person who doesn't like it either. We did get an appetizer of pizza this time and that was quite good, but be warned because even their small is as large as some of the larges from chain restaurants so we each had like one slice and boxed up the rest. I liked the Rosato sauce last time I was there that was in their Mastaccioli Rosato. They had a musician again, this time a guitarist. But he packed up shortly after we got there. The ambiance is still nice, though.

Erin K.

Yelp
Superb, Italian Food!! My goodness! Cozy, quaint place.. authentic food, top notch service, & friendly hostess.. Try the bruschetta! So fresh & light.. When you're done, relax at the hookah bar next door!

Yelp
Date night was a success. This was a great little place to have a nice relaxing dinner. We went early as we did not have a reservation, and we got a table pretty quick. Kylie was our waitress and she was spot on. Just the right amount of attention, giving us time for conversation. I'm not sure if they typically have music but on the night we were there they had a man with his guitar, and it was also a nice treat. The food was very good, and cooked to perfection. We took home left overs so we could squeeze in dessert. Ben was the server/bus person and for his 3rd night he did great. As our dinner wrapped up the place had already begun to fill up so I will make a reservation next time. It was so nice and relaxing I didn't touch my phone once so sorry no pictures you will just have to go see for yourself.

Sasha P.

Yelp
Santioni's has been on my list for a while now and I'm so excited that we finally got to dine here! First of all, make sure you have a reservation for dinner. The wait can be a bit depending on the day and time - I'm glad we booked ahead. We were seated right away and the bread and water immediately followed! This bread..... oh my gosh. Some of the best I've had at a restaurant - I could've eaten the whole basket myself. It didn't need sauce or butter or anything to accompany it, just incredibly delicious bread. Our server was on point with checking in and every course came out surprisingly fast! It was really impressive and refreshing. You don't see this at many places anymore and it made the experience that much better. The portions were huge but the flavors never faltered. I'm pretty sure my cavatelli bolognese could serve a family of three and I'm not mad at it one bit. My husband thoroughly enjoyed his veal parmesan and the bite I had was tasty. Come check this place out, you'll be glad you did!

Danielle P.

Yelp
Wonderful food, and great service!! I always highly recommend them to friends seeking Italian cuisine!!

Pj M.

Yelp
Upon entering the restaurant you are greeted with wonderful smells. We were seated immediately by a warm, friendly hostess. As we were seated we were served warm bread and water. Our server was friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. Soup or salad came with the meal. I had the sausage and lentil soup, AMAZING. I have never had such a flavorful soup and it had lots of pieces of sausage, no scrimping here. I had the Mostaccioli Santioni and my husband had the same and we wished we had shared...the portion was so large it was enough for two. Excellent flavor. The sauce and medley of italian sausage, peppers, mushrooms and onions was incredible. I wish we lived in the area, we would be regulars. Owner owned and operated. Definitely check them out if you haven't yet, you will not be disappointed.

Nelma P.

Yelp
Have been to Santioni's twice. Both times I've been happy with the food & service. They do a nice job. One of the best Cannoli I've tasted. They put sprinklers on each end. Taste better without them. Another reason to visit is Ms. Gina who sings & plays the piano. Makes for a delightful dinner. We requested a song & she played it well. Not sure she's there every night though. I recommend making a reservations as each time I've gone they have been quite busy. If you happen to be near Fleming Island & looking for delicious Italian food try Santioni's. Makes for a nice date night.

Gina E.

Yelp
Deeeeeelish! The garlic bread is a piece of heaven! Their blue cheese is fabulous. I have yet to have a bad dish here. My favorite is the tour of Italy. Soups are wonderful and the desserts are simply magical. Service is A++ Ambiance is great. I recommend you make a reservation.

Steve H.

Yelp
Excellent food, fast service...love the drive up take out window too! I can't wait to try another pizza from there.

Holly K.

Yelp
Excellent food and outstanding service, wonderful ambience. Such a wonderful place for true Italian food.

Greg M.

Yelp
The only real restaurant on the Island. Fantastic service. Professional. Family owned. Very good food & ambiance. The best restaurant in Clay County.

Mary Jo C.

Yelp
The food was good, service great and ambiance very nice. However the menu was very uninspired and overpriced, sort of like an overpriced Bertucci's.

Bianca G.

Yelp
As always, amazing food, staff, & atmosphere. The food is light and fresh. The sauce on the Alfredo is not thick or goopy like other Italian restaurants that don't make it fresh. Gotta have a serving or two of their fresh bread and their house salad or Cesar salad. Both are crispy and crunchy. I ordered the childrens chicken Alfredo and small Caesar salad. The chicken has an in house grilled marinade that gives a nice char grill flavor. For dessert I got the almond crusted tiramisu to go. I can't wait to dig in once I'm home!

Olga S.

Yelp
Amazing place for a date or meeting with friends. When we arrived we were happy to see there was live music and the service was outstanding. Tasty food, delicious desserts, decent wine. We loved our night at Santioni's

E L.

Yelp
Worst customer service by the owners daughter who made sure to tell me that she was the owners daughter and then ended up hanging up on me. I love to support local and family owned but they will no longer get our business.

Dee J.

Yelp
This place has it all. Romantic atmosphere, fabulous service and the food is so amazing! You have to have the escargot appetizer. The bread dunked in that sauce is so good. We had the veal and it was delicious. They service pizza as well. Don't miss this wonderful restaurant.

Tina C.

Yelp
Based on such great reviews, I opted to give it a try since I was not familiar with the area. Stuffed mushrooms were a bit salty but edible. I wouldn't order it again. It may have tasted better dining in. Cavatelli bolognese: cavatelli pasta cooked al dente with meat sauce and a touch of cream. I was not a fan. The meat was scarce. It was pasta and mostly marinara sauce. Traveling for work and staying at a hotel. I was not asked if I needed any utensils. Based on food and service, I will pass next time.

Bob F.

Yelp
Our go to nice Italian restaurant. Outstanding service & food. Nice piano lady each time we've been there.

Michele D.

Yelp
One order of chicken Marsala. The sauce was way too much for the little chicken breasts and pasta. I took this much home and have enough for an entire dish of chicken marsala for two. Just need to grill up some chicken. I enjoyed the atmosphere as always even if the hostess was rude. She didn't want to reseat us and when we left and I said thank you, she didn't raise her head out of her cell phone to even acknowledge us. The owner and the owners wife are wonderful as is the pianist or we would not keep returning.

Enrique C.

Yelp
Food, Service, & Ambience ALWAYS GREAT! Santioni's always TOPS on my list of good places to eat!

Kristine C.

Yelp
Started downhill with the restroom! Dirty! Hire a pro cleaner if your hired waitstaff does not want to clean. Not a great way to start a meal. Way overpriced for what you get. Multi colored tortellini looked and tasted like cooler brand at Publix. I'm sure it is Sysco. Alfredo sauce tasted like jar brand too. A true Alfredo sauce should make you taste every ingredient separately then blend together and it you should should taste the cream, butter, a cream smooth texture with a bite of cheese. The rolls were the only thing that were halfway decent. But looked like Sysco with seasonings added before cooking. Sadly first and last time we will go there. I was expecting much more as we were told it was good.

Nicole R.

Yelp
The food was so delicious! Anything with their red sauce is to die for. The service was very professional, informative, and all around a great experience. The ambiance was very romantic, intimate, we will definitely be coming back!

Michael J.

Yelp
Great food and quality service I would recommend this restaurant to everyone who truly loves Italian cuisine

Monner’s M.

Yelp
Our favorite new place for special occasions!! Food is excellent and staff is top notch!! It's a quiet, quaint little place.

Bruce M.

Yelp
Shhhh. Let's keep it a secret. This place is great. Everything is 5 stars. The service, the food, the time it takes to get your meal, the ambiance. The live piano music playing in the background. Try it for yourself, you won't be disappointed. Enjoy

Karen F.

Yelp
My husband and I Joined up with other AARP volunteers for a pleasant dinner for the holidays. The menu has a great variety of dishes and beautiful desserts. It's pricey so be prepared. There were no complaints at the table, however, and the servings were substantial! The photos show just some of the selections our group of twelve had. The restaurant is nicely decorated and there's a pianist who entertains. All in all, a very nice outing.

Leslie W.

Yelp
All things wonderful! What a great gem this place was! Food was amazing, service was top notch !! It felt like a lovely step back in time with the charming ambiance of white tablecloths and live piano music ! Yes please

Derek S.

Yelp
***Overpriced and Average Taste*** The first issue I have is that when you look this place up on Google, you see $$. Two dollar signs $10-$25 on average per person. Almost everything we ordered was at least $30 and up. It would be a challenge to find anything as a meal under $30. The food itself wasn't bad, but it also wasn't great. For these prices, I expect it to be above average. The food here was a step above Olive Garden in my opinion. The Bruschetta was basically cheese bread with some tomato pieces and some dry lettuce. The best part of the meal was the bread bowl they bring out at the beginning. It was very delicious. Meal Total: $277 before tip ($330 with tip) 5 meals 2 Appetizers 5 Soft Drinks 1 Alcohol drink 1 Dessert (very small) To sum things up, the Google $$ is misleading and the food is average. So if you have plenty of money to waste, give it a try. If not, you'll be just as satisfied at Olive Garden.

Lily D.

Yelp
Amazing atmosphere and food, beautiful live piano when we went as well as an amazingly kind waitress. The food was incredible as well, is on the expensive side but well, WELL worth it. Cant wait to come back! Ps, order extra bread because you WILL want to take it home!

Melissa F.

Yelp
Lovely! Amazing food. Live pianist simply divine!!! We celebrated our birthdays and our desserts were cheesecake and Amaretto Tiramisu.

Chris C.

Yelp
Thursday night first visit. Finally found true Italian food without going over the Buckman. Service was more than great, it was exemplary(Ask for Ryan). Prices given the current drama about costs and availability, worth every bite. Clean decor and piano serenade, gives it a good atmosphere. Only down side, fill the Cannoli full and not just the ends. Will be back, fresh fish was well priced with market. Well done

James L.

Yelp
We were seated right away as we had reservations. The server, Brianna greeted us and took our orders. For a drink i had the long walk home. Kind of a fruity long island iced tea. Appetizer was stuffed mushrooms, for entree my wife ordered fettuccine Alfredo with shrimp, i ordered seafood cannelloni. Both with salads. The bread was fresh and was very good. Mushrooms came out hot and great. Btw loved the live music. Sooo soothing. Salads came out and they were perfect. Dinner came out. We both loved dinner. I tasted my wifes dinner and it was amazing. My seafood cannelloni was awesome. So desert we ordered a tiramisu and a lemoncello cake. Wow so light and refreshing. All i can say is bring your wallet, but totally worth it. I recommend this place, and will be back.

Brin F.

Yelp
My family and I have lived in the area for about seven years and we just ate here for the first time. I have to say this place is by far the best restaurant in this area. I had the filet mignon marsala and the fillet was medium rare, and was perfectly cooked. The atmosphere is pretty good and the service is fantastic. The food came out surprisingly quick, despite its high quality and relatively busy time on Friday night. I would absolutely recommend this place in the future for anybody looking for a good meal at a place that's not cheap and franchised which is hard to come by in the Fleming Island area.

Larry S.

Yelp
Charming, quaint little Italian restaurant in a strip mall setting. I had never been here before, but I'm always up for Italian. I was by myself and the hostess, who turned out to be one of the owners, was debating with herself about seating me at the bar or at a table 20 minutes later. I opted for the bar, and was lead to a side room. On the way, we passed a guitar player playing music for dinner. The bar was small, only about 4 seats wide, but the back bar was fully stocked. The bartender was very nice and personable, and it turned out to be the owner's daughter. I ordered the Chicken Limone, which is basically Francese. It was one of the best I've ever had. The chicken was moist, the breading stayed intact, and instead of marinara, the side of spaghetti came with the Limone sauce. It was served with a simple side salad and I left feeling satisfied, but not overstuffed. Rosemary rolls, or focaccia rolls, are served alongside the salad and they were yummy. The only critique is that there were 10 rolls in the basket and I was eating alone. As for COVID protocols, I was the only person wearing a mask.

Bonnie J.

Yelp
We took everyone's advice and made a reservation so walked right in. Beautiful piano music playing the entire meal and it set such a beautiful tone. My daughter had the fettuccine cream pesto and loved it. I had the mostaccioli santionis and it was such a large portion I could not finish. Wonderful selection of gluten free options which I'm always grateful for.

Michelle L.

Yelp
This little Italian restaurant right off 17 in Fleming Island is a must if you love Italian. First, the bread... OMG... do not go here if you are on a diet and trying to stay away from carbs. They served up the best filet mignon Marsala you could imagine. We also had the blackened shrimp fettuccine and it was also delicious. My boyfriend also got the mussels and loved them but I forgot to take a picture. Everything was fabulous.

Gillian S.

Yelp
Decent home cooked Italian. The staff are always friendly, and the food well prepared. I just wish we didn't keep getting sat in the noisy back party room.

Tony M.

Yelp
My wife and I visited Santioni's on the advice of one the members of our church. The food was okay, however the portion sizes were a bit meager compared to the price of the items on the menu (hence the reason I'm giving this restaurant 2 stars). Also, I believe that this establishment should be given at least 3 ($) on price as the overall cost is much higher than what you would pay at an Americanized Italian restaurant chain (ex: Olive Garden). It feels like the restaurant is striving to be a 4-star establishment but they fall short as they employ high-school age students (as opposed to professional wait staff) and attempt to keep rent costs down by running their establishment out of a strip mall (but these savings are not being passed to the customer). On a positive note, the restaurant atmosphere was nice as they have an excellent pianist who plays a lot of great music- both original compositions as well as more recognizable tunes. Overall, I would recommend this restaurant for special occasions only as you can find more affordable and casual Italian dining experiences in the local area.

Lana A.

Yelp
Wow place! Bread was outstanding, the last time I have eaten similar bread was many years ago in Italy. Only one complaint - commute.
