Santo Remedio Casona & Cantina - Review - Marylebone - London - The Infatuation

"If you’re in search of a taco that takes you by hand and walks you up memory lane back to that trip to Oaxaca, then move along, Santo Remedio Casona & Cantina isn’t the place for you. That being said, if your dining agenda includes a mezcal margarita on a Saturday night, eating a crisp sashimi tostada after shopping around Marylebone, or giving your catch-up the lipstick and paloma treatment, you’ll be charmed. The dining room is the kind of Suitcase Magazine click-bait we approve of—statement straw lampshades, green, glossy foliage, and a circular booth so large that they could probably secure £4K a month in rent if they popped it on Rightmove. Despite its central London location, it gave us that lived-in neighbourhood feeling, but these neighbours can definitely afford Wolford tights from the high street. The service comes with a complimentary smile and although some things like the flautas are over-sauced and under-seasoned, you’re in safe hands with the fall-off-the-bone barbacoa lamb shank, best paired with soft tortillas and some quality gossip. video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley photo credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley Pause Unmute Food Rundown Classic Guacamole Everything you want guacamole to be—a bit smooth, a bit chunky, and packing a whole lot of tomato and jalapeño zing. photo credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley Sashimi Grade Tuna Tostadas This is some prime jelly-like yellowfin tuna that deserves its own moment in the spotlight, but it gets elbowed off stage by the chipotle mayonnaise. PlayMute video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley Pork Belly Tacos The tortillas are a touch dry but the pork belly is so moist and succulently sweet that any complaints will be forgotten. As will your previous offer to share them. PlayMute video credit: Heidi Lauth Beasley Slow Cooked Barbacoa Lamb Shank This lamb is rushing for bone emancipation so fast that you only need to give it a polite nudge and the rosy meat is ready to be loaded into the accompanying tortillas. It’s more comforting winter warmer than life-affirming spice show, but if you deem licking salty lamb jus off your wrist as a rollicking good time, get involved. Had brunch at Santo Remedio Mayfair and really enjoyed it. The atmosphere is warm, colourful and relaxed, with friendly and attentive service. We tried the prawn taco and the yoghurt & berry bowl to start, both fresh and full of flavour. For mains, the mexican eggs royale and the crumpet with beef were rich, comforting and beautifully presented. The cocktails were excellent, especially the Coconut Margarita and the Santo Remedio Passion, refreshing and perfectly balanced. A lovely spot for a vibrant Mexican-style brunch in the heart of London 🌮🍹☕🇲🇽

I’ve been to Santo Remedio in London Bridge many times for dinner, so I was really excited to try the new Marylebone spot for brunch — and it didn’t disappoint! The Mexican twist on brunch classics was such a treat; eggs and bacon can get a bit samey, but here everything was packed with flavour and originality. The interior is stunning, with a stylish yet welcoming vibe, and the cocktails were absolutely incredible. A brilliant addition to the neighbourhood and definitely somewhere I’ll be coming back to.

I went today with two friends and honestly, we were blown away! The service was outstanding — friendly, attentive, and made us feel right at home. The food was on another level: every dish was full of flavour, beautifully presented, and truly authentic. You can taste the love and passion that goes into the cooking here. It’s not easy to find Mexican food this good in London, but Santo Remedio Marylebone absolutely delivers. We left impressed, satisfied, and already planning our next visit. Highly recommend to anyone who loves great food, amazing cocktails, and warm hospitality. 🌮🍹🇲🇽

I really enjoyed my visit at Santo Remedio. The manager David and the staff were so nice and helpful. I liked both the starters and the mains for the lunch I had with my friend. The guacamole is really flavourful and the enchilada was a highlight for me. They also have vegetarian dishes which I really liked. The cocktails were also really lovely. I would definitely come back for a lunch or dinner.

Nice spot! The place feels cozy and chill, good vibes. Tried the pork taco – tasty and full of flavour. Also had a beef dish (not really a burger but really good! Drinks were solid too: hot chocolate was smooth, cocktail was refreshing. Overall, pretty happy with it. Would come back to try more.

Had a great experience at Santo Remedio! The staff were friendly and the service was decent throughout. I tried the prawn taco and the Mexican Eggs Florentine, both were absolutely delicious, but the Eggs Florentine were my favourite. I also had two virgin cocktails, and both were super tasty and well-balanced. Overall, a lovely spot with good food and a relaxed vibe. Would definitely come back!
