First time here and definitely not the last! The gyro meat was perfectly seasoned, tender, and not dry at all. The bread was fresh, delicious, and had a great buttery aroma that made the whole meal even better. The staff were nice and took the time to explain the menu. They even gave us dessert on the house! Highly recommend for anyone looking for good Greek food.

LOW KEY CASUAL GREEK AUSTIN VIBES! Was on my way to work and needed to grab some quick food. Found this strange pocket of restaurants off North Lamar, with several highly rated restaurants. Noticed this Greek place, which was the highest rated out of all of them and decided to try it since Greek is one of my favorite foods. The restaurant feels like a converted house, like a lot of original Austin restaurants. It’s got fun and cool decor, and a family owned feel, which I love. I ordered the chicken lunch plate and the baba ganoush to go. I was delighted and surprised to find a small bonus order of beignets with my food! Which is very nice The food is really good. The service was nice and the vibe was cool and casual. A great spot for lunch or a low-key dinner date. Would definitely recommend and eat here again.

They were open on the cold weather we got mocha coffee and mozzarella sticks. Very welcoming ambiance and great staff!! Clean and friendly Worth giving a visit! Will definitely come back

I love this place. Its very casual, everyone is friendly and there is indoor and outdoor seating. Ive been here a few times and kept coming back but last night was the first time i ordered the soup. It seemed a little overpriced and i wasnt sure if i was going to like it but im so glad i got it. The bowl they give you is HUGE, piping hot, and absolutely delicious. Its hearty and salty and perfect for this cold weather. I now have a place to get good soup when i dont feel like cooking myself. I was very happy with my purchase.

Cute ma and pa shop located close to Chinatown. Was feeling a moussaka and this place was near the hotel. Boy was I surprised at how big and filling the portions were. The moussaka is basically an eggplant lasagna in my opinion. It camp with a big salad and a heap of fries. The owner also dropped us some free deserts. Not sure what it was called but it was basically fried donut holes drizzled with honey. Delish!!!

Great place for casual dining or team lunch. They served our group of 10 promptly. The lamb plate and Greek coffee were excellent. Also tried hummus, pita and fries for appetizer. Beignets can be skipped..

Santorini Cafe is the perfect lunch spot if you work in the Domain area! They have a ton of outdoor seating and a few tables inside as well. I came around noon on a Tuesday and there was no wait to order, and our food came out pretty quickly. We ordered: - Hummus and Pita (5/5): Normally I don't like hummus that much, but I actually liked this one! - Lamb Gyro (6/5): This was the best lamb gyro I've ever had, and I'm not even a lamb person. The meat was perfectly tender and served in a lightly toasted, fluffy pita. Every gyro is served with a side salad dressed in a tasty vinaigrette. - Beignets (5/5): I'm not sure if it's for every order, but the staff brought us a complimentary plate of their beignets at the end of our meal! They are denser than the beignets I've had before, with a slightly chewy texture almost like a mochi donut. They're topped with a bit of honey and aren't too sweet. The one critique I have is I wish they had a better way to manage the flies in the outdoor area. It was a little annoying swatting them away while trying to eat. Obviously that's just something you have to expect when eating outside in Austin during the Summer though! Overall, this is a great spot for lunch on a weekday! I'll definitely be back for another gyro, especially since they're only $10 from 11a-2p Monday-Friday!

If you're in a pinch and need a Mediterranean food fix, Santorini will suffice. That said, there is only one stand out and it is the dolmas. They are delicious! The pita had an oily taste to it. The shawarma plate had two small cups of Hummus and Baba ganoush. It was just enough to taste it. It was good, but too sparse on the plate. The prices are reasonable The food isn't bad, but pretty meh overall (sans Dolmas).

Food is great! Got the gyro plate, fish wrap, and tried Greek honey balls for the first time. The dark green leafy portion is called a dolma-it was stuffed with rice and it's a bit sour but I enjoyed it! Tzatziki sauce just goes so well with the warm, crisp (but not hard!) pita. This restaurant is highly rated on Yelp and I can see why! The food is delicious and affordable ($10-20). I really love how comfortable I feel inside-I can sit on the different chairs, the sofa, or on the outside benches. It looked like there were toy cars outside too but I didn't take a closer look as it was raining. I recommend experiencing Santorini!

BEST GREEK FOOD IN AUSTIN!!! Guys seriously. I just came back from Greece a month ago and I was really craving gyros. We came on a rainy day, there weren't any cars out. When we went in, the inside was super cozy and had so much personality. Prices were great and the people were the sweetest! I believe it's a family owned place. We got chicken gyros and oh my it was so good. At the end they gave us free beignet (dessert!) it was so good! I've never had it before but it was so yummy. My boyfriend loved it so much he even got another to take home tonight, with that order they even tossed in free beignets! They were so sweet and it truly felt like Greece hospitality! PLEASE PLEASE come support this beautiful place!! To the owners-keep doing what you're doing, we love you so much:))

Unfortunately this was just not a favourite for us. The food was mediocre and was really under-seasoned. While the food was fine, we won't be going out of our way to visit again.

The customer service was top-tier!! They even provided a small dessert for me to try, which was drizzled with honey and dusted with sweet cinnamon. Everything about the restaurant is excellent. The lamb gyro was delicious. It was stuffed with lamb that consisted of a fresh side salad with like a vinegar dressing and Taziki sauce The building has ample seating so enough for larger parties to attend. Great spot

The food is amazing and the folks there are very friendly. I have had a lot of their dishes but I tend to stick to my favorites these days - the falafel or the chicken gyro and an order of feta fries (with tzatziki, if I renege to add it to the order). If you're dining in, they are usually very kind and will bring a small plate of their sourdough beignets to the table.

I have always seen this place and have been wanting to try it for a couple months and I finally did. I came here with some coworkers for lunch and god the lamb gyro and a side of fries. The lamb and pita itself was incredible. The pita was sooo fresh and the lamb was seasoned very well and had a great texture to it. Not dry at all. My only criticism was that the toppings for the gyros were very subpar. The produce just was not super fresh and the onions were a little limp. The inside of the restaurant was nice and the hey have cute outdoor seating. The service was also great and they were so kind and gave our table some free beignets which were so good btw! I will definitely be back!

Quality went down. The gyro had chunks of meat not slices. The Greek beignets had syrup. Like pancake syrup instead of honey. The lemon chicken soup had undercooked crunch rice. Not sure what happened. Their food used to be great.

Cute casual Greek cafe that gets PACKED for lunch on a weekday. The lamb plate was delicious apart from the evidently wilted salad in my dish that irked me. Only docking a star because everything else was really tasty.

This cafe is sooo cozy; it felt like a home. Would've loved to stay and eat had we not been on a schedule. We chose to eat here as a light meal that we could trust prior to a wedding, and it did the job. The meals were all delicious, light, but filling. My only qualm is that the chicken served with the chicken plate was dry, but apparently the chicken in the gyros were juicy. Would definitely revisit if given the chance!

After reading about Santorini Cafe on yelp I decided to make a quick lunch stop for a really solid gyro. The establishment had a nice relaxed vibe offering both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was solid but not the best gyro of my life. Good just not over the top. Prices were fair and I would definitely come back if in the area!

Absolutely gem! Super cute interior with order at the counter service. The food, oh my, the food! I got the vegetarian platter and added lamb meat. Everything was so freaking good. I loved the grape leaves, small, fresh, perfectly put together. The lamb meat was super flavorful and had just the right crisp. The salad was fresh without too much dressing. The baklava is one of the best I've had and I consider myself well experienced here. I meant to take a picture but kept hammering the meal because of how amazing things tasted. Next time!

Great prices, great food, great service. Cute little building with gravel for a parking lot. Got the baked feta to share and then my own gyro wrap, which came with a side salad. Everything was amazing, and they even gave us some beignets on the house as we finished up! Will be back!

This is the best Greek food I've had in Austin. I ordered the veggie plate, and the falafel texture was perfect inside and had the best crunchiness on the outside. All of the dips were amazing, and everything tasted fresh and like it was made with quality ingredients. They even included complimentary Greek beignets! I ordered my food to-go during dinner time, and it was ready in less than 10 minutes. I am happy I found this place and will be a regular!

10/10! I went here for lunch with a friend and had the best time! I ordered a large Greek salad with the feta cheese on the side and it was the most refreshing giant bowl of goodness I have had in a while. Staff was also incredibly friendly, constantly checking in on us and we got 3 free small plates of beignet - she brought the first one and I inhaled it in seconds so she brought another, which we slowly ate after lunch and then she brought a 3rd before we were done and we had to take it home because we were so full lol. The restaurant was clean, quiet and just very pleasant. You do have to order at the counter and get your own drink but the quality of the food and service makes it a worthwhile experience. I'll definitely go back and I highly recommend it.

I love Greek food, so I was excited to check out this restaurant. The unassuming exterior of the restaurant opens up to a cozy, homey feel inside. Order at the counter,and then pick a table where you want to sit. They have a nice selection of appetizers, mains, and salads, with plenty of drink options (non-alcoholic & alcoholic). I got the lamb plate, and everything on it was delicious. I especially loved the grape leaves--I would totally eat a whole plateful by themselves! The spinach and cheese pies were also really tasty, but be careful when you bite into them because they were really hot inside when they were served. Also, I'm not sure if they do this on the regular, but we were given complimentary "beignets" (not pictured) with the meal. They were little fried dough pieces with cinnamon and syrup--not sure if I'd ever order these by themselves, but it was an appreciated meal-ending treat. I'd highly recommend coming here to get your Greek food fix!

Decided to try this place for lunch, what a winner! The lamb was super good and the lunch plate even filled up my husband who has hollow legs and NEVER gets full off of lunch portions. We'll definitely be back!

This used to be our go to spot when we lived in North Austin. Since we were in the area, we decided to stop in since it's been a while. Even after all these years, STILL the BEST lamb gyros in Austin. I usually am not a fan of lamb, but this place does their lamb gyros right and it's the only place I eat lamb. I missed the grandma who used to work here - I didn't see her today. She's such a sweetheart!

I always get the chicken plate whenever we go here. The chicken is yummy and juicy and the dolmas and the tzatziki sauce is nice and cool. I loved the Greek honey balls they gave for dessert. The restaurant and service is fast and calm. The Greek decoration on the walls makes you feel like you are eating in Greece! I love this restaurant and I hope you come and eat here sometime!

A small, unique restaurant with delicious food. I came here tonight for dinner and ordered the lamb steak plate. There was plenty of meat to eat. The salad and sauce went well with the pita bread. You order at the counter, and they bring you your food when it is ready. The service was good, and the server was friendly. It's not a fancy restaurant but it is clean with some nice pictures hanging on the wall. They do offer take-out and have alcoholic beverages. There is ample parking as well. So, the next time you are hungry and feel like something different, try the Santorini Cafe. I think you will enjoy yourself as did I.

Finally, a delicious Greek/mediterranean restaurant in the north Austin area. Falafel is perfect! Pita bread is so fresh and soft! Hummus is excellent! The lamb is tender and full of flavor.

Our favorite Greek spot in Austin! The Grilled Chicken plate comes with Dolmas, pita bread and a salad. My husband LOVES the Greek Salad with the Lamb Beef. The feta they use here is top notch, super delicious. Service is always very friendly and we love supporting a family run business. We like to get takeout, we're 100% here for the food not the atmosphere.

Finally found an authentic Greek spot! Gyro, feta, fries, and baklava were all awesome. I ordered takeout so I can't speak to the ambiance of the restaurant- but I thought portions and quality were excellent for the price point.

I love this place. The dolmas were very good, but I think my favorite thing was the pastiche, fries and the salad. The service here was excellent. The baklava balls were delicious. The drinks were good as well.

I've lived near this place for many years and I was a fool for not stopping by earlier. I got takeout on a cold evening after attending a Spurs event at the Pitch nearby on Tech Ridge. The decor inside is quaint and cute. The man who took the payment for my order was kind and fast. He informed me that the food was mostly ready but the Baked Feta took a little longer...because it needed to bake...and told us where we could sit while we waited. We ordered the Baked Feta, Greek Beignets, Chicken Gyro and the Meatball Plate. The Baked Feta with pita bread was delicious. It did have a salty aftertaste but I personally didn't mind. The Greek Beignets weren't sweet so next time I would try the Baklava. Both entrees were very good but if I had to pick one, I really enjoyed the seasoning used in the Meatball Plate. I'll definitely be back to try more things on the menu!

I really missed my trip to Greece and I came here, and the food was authentic and reminded me of the Mediterranean. The only complaint that I would have would be the fried dough at the end we may have gotten an older batch but I won't let that eclipse the amazing food prior to.

Why 5 stars? Because the gyro was perfection. --- --- --- Example #487 of a restaurant I never would have even known existed if not for Yelp, that turned out to be amazing. This is certainly not in Downtown Austin... and whatever area it's called, it didn't exactly seem like a trendy 'hood. It was in a fairly industrial area, surrounded by auto repair shops and a few other divey restaurants in a make-shift shopping center. The only reason we ended up here is because I saw it on a Top 100 list and we were headed to Round Rock for the weekend. On our way, we decided to stop for lunch and this wasn't too far from our destination. I opted to order a gyro with lamb meat. My biggest pet peeve is when the lamb in a gyro tastes super gamey, but this did not have even the slightest hint of that. It was perfect. I wouldn't change a thing. When I have a craving for a gyro, this is what I fantasize about in my mind. The Top 100 spot is well-deserved. We were a bit let down by the Greek beignets, but the gyro was so amazing that I couldn't give anything other than a fat 5-stars for this gem of a place.

If you've been looking for the intersection of Greek and Austin weird, this is the place. Santorini is set in a small strip-mall-of-sorts at an inconspicuous location on far North Lamar. From the road, you have to be searching for it or will pass it up, and Google Maps isn't particularly helpful in this regard. The quirky non-identical architecture of each of the tenant buildings lends to a homespun look and adds to the weird vibe. Let's put it this way: you know you're not among the skyscrapers that typify modern-day Austin anymore. We went to Santorini Cafe for the first time after a nearby movie at AMC Tech Ridge. It was mid-afternoon, so there were only a couple of tables occupied with those waiting for to-go orders and finishing meals. To be honest, it didn't have that lively, bustling feel to it. Only one friendly gentleman behind the counter waiting for us to make up our minds. And there was a bit of a debate in eating here. The building seems shaped like an arrow pointing at the parking lot, so there's a central area for ordering and some seating, and two wings with more tables. Several of the tables were not bussed, and it didn't appear to be a "they just left" thing. After all, no one likes looking at food someone else left behind on a plate. Despite appearance and the initial misgivings it caused, we forged ahead. So glad we did! We each ordered vegetarian plates (OK, this is when we were pretending we were on a diet, obviously) because it allowed us to sample a variety of their Greek food at a fixed price without ordering a la carte. It took us a bit to order because we asked many questions and were unfamiliar with Greek fare. They were patient, and so were we. It took a little while to prepare, but, again, we were there at a lull in their business day. Everything we sampled was fresh and delicious. For our wait and first patronage, we were provided a sample serving of their dessert, which was a fried dough concoction much like a beignet but with a sweet sauce instead of powdered sugar. Would I go back? Sure, if I was in the area and hankering for Greek food

Authentic and delicious! The tzatziki, meatballs and dolmades were flavorful and fresh. The servers were very attentive and brought our table a plate of honey beignets on the house. We felt like dinner guests in a Greek home rather than restaurant patrons. We hope to return soon to enjoy their musaka dish!

SO GOOD!! we always pass by santorini and finally came for dinner. everything was delicious and the staff was so friendly. there's a good handful of parking spots. inside looks so homey with the furniture and decor. we each ordered the Lamb Gyro and a side of fries. The Greek Beignets were given on the house. The gyro was packed with meat! I loved the texture of the pita break - slightly crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. The salad that came with the gyro was a great break inbetween bites of meat. The beignets were also so chewy and sweet - a yummy end to dinner. I'll definitely be coming back!

Friday around 6PM Nice homey cafe. Ordered: Dolmades -- just the right amount of tang Lamb Gyro (comes with salad) -- Hearty portion for one, tasty, some meats were slightly dry though Greek Beignets (on the house) Food hit the spot for greek cravings!

I went here with my mom for a lunch date, and it was so good! First of all the ambience was super relaxed, laid-back you go up to the counter to order. I got the feta fries with lamb and my mom got the Greek salad with lamb, we both got our entrées, expecting to share with one another, and I don't think the other person even remembered that we were supposed to share as soon as we got the dishes because we were chowing down. I also got the Greek coffee, which I'm more of a tea girl than a coffee girl, but I actually really did enjoy the coffee. There's this delicious foam on top of it I believe each entrée was about 10 or $11, which is decent pricing. I would definitely come again. I really enjoyed the spot in the relaxed atmosphere. It felt like a place that I could hang out at, which was what I did, and I decided to journal for about 30 more minutes after.

the baba ganoush was the worst I have ever had. I don't think the eggplant was smoked. The meat was ok. not at all what I expected based upon the reviews I have seen

Cannot recommend Santorini cafe enough! The pita bread tasted fresh out of the oven and practically melted in my mouth! The owner recommended an excellent white wine which paired so well with my Gyro. This is also a place to splurge on desserts! The ambiance there was very pleasant, I felt like I could have been in Greece!

Everything we tried was really average. To be honest I was pretty surprised given how great the reviews are. The gyros' sauce was about the tastiest thing in the order, but the gyros were also on the dry/overcooked side. The babaganoush was nearly flavorless, and whatever flavor it did have tasted kind of fishy and not pleasant.

I'm pretty finicky about hummus. And I have no complaints about SANTORINI's. Their food is always fresh and the homemade sangria is excellent. The staff are friendly and the restaurant's decor is simple. The family oriented restaurant is a great place to have excellent food in a relaxed atmosphere. I can't wait to dine here again.

I'd just got back from Greece and needed a slice of Santorini so I decided to come here. This is authentic Greek food and it definitely didn't disappoint! I've tried their lamb gyro, chicken gyro plate, and their Mousska. All down right delicious. Their tatziki is PHENOMENAL! The service here is what really sets the bar. We're having lunch and my sister passes out! The owner (who was a nurse in Greece) runs out and takes control of the situation. She knew what to do when the whole restaurant was kind of in a flurry. I really do appreciate her! She was like an angel to us that day. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR YOUR HELP AND HOSPITALITY! It will never be forgotten.
