I went to Santos on October 18th, 2025 @ 8pm The service was chill, attentive and a good change of pace. My server accidentally dropped one of my shrimp and he so kindly brought back two! I really appreciated the kind generosity. Drinks were delicious. Food was good. Bill was reasonable for 1 drink, 2 shots and an app. Overall I’d go again!

My go-to spot in the Old Port. The food is always delicious, the drinks are great, and the staff is genuinely amazing. Perfect place for a girls night out, every time! Awesome vibes if you want to stick around and dance after dinner.

Google
The food was great. I don’t drink alcohol, they made me a special spicy mocktail with mango. The service was amazing!!! Everything was really good. Great night out with my girls 🥰

My experience at Santos was absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, the atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming. A special mention goes to Geneviève, the manager, whose professionalism, warmth, and attention to detail truly stood out. Her incredible service made the entire experience unforgettable — she went above and beyond to ensure everything was perfect. Santos is definitely a place I’d recommend to anyone looking for great vibes, amazing food, and outstanding service. The bouncers were also extremely respectful and friendly, creating a safe and comfortable environment for everyone. Santos is a place where you feel valued, well taken care of, and guaranteed to have an amazing time.

Thank you Guys for the amazing time I had with my friends. There were alot of people and love the fun crowd ambiance. Chino, I think he is the manager, was really nice and fun to tease with. Love the way the bartender, waitresses and the DJ are working together to make the experience for everybody unforgettable. If you have to wait, don't worry cuz once your are inside and served, you are good to go. Enjoy 😉!

Google
An absolutely unforgettable experience at Santos Tapas Bar! This place is truly a five-star establishment. The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the tapas are authentically incredible every dish was bursting with flavour. However, what truly elevates this restaurant is the exceptional team, especially Chino. His hospitality, attentiveness, and positive energy were phenomenal. Chino went above and beyond to ensure our evening was perfect, offering wonderful recommendations and making us feel genuinely valued. This level of service is rare and greatly appreciated. Thank you, Chino, for your dedication and for making our visit so memorable. I already can’t wait to come back!

Santos Tapas Bar in the Old Port of Montreal is, without a doubt, a premier destination for a memorable night out. From the moment you step inside, the ambiance is fantastic—vibrant, stylish, and perfect for socializing. What truly sets Santos apart is the incredible staff. They are consistently welcoming, making the entire experience feel less like a bar visit and more like walking into a home where you're treated like family. The quality of the DJ and music is exceptional; they always manage to create a dynamic and energetic atmosphere that keeps the night flowing perfectly. A special shout-out must go to Chino. He consistently goes above and beyond to ensure I and my friends are perfectly taken care of every time we visit. His attention to detail and professional demeanor elevate the service experience. If you're looking for the best place to have fun, enjoy great music, and feel genuinely appreciated in the Old Port, Santos Tapas Bar is the place to be. Highly recommended!

Absolutely love Santos! I come here all the time and it never disappoints — the vibe is always amazing, the music is on point, and the crowd is just the right mix of fun and classy. The staff are super friendly and attentive, which makes the whole experience even better. Whether it’s for drinks, dinner, or just a good night out, Santos always delivers. Definitely one of my go-to spots in the city! 💃

Yelp
We were looking for a decent cocktail bar in the area and stopped in here because of the flashy signs and little bit of energy. The bartender was friendly, so was the rest of the staff. They can make most all craft cocktail type drinks, so I tried a Last Word and the bartender did an excellent job making it. The vibe is more of a Miami style club, with the typical Hispanic beat playing for hours straight, which does get old, but I'm sure it gets quite packed in here and the place is probably popular with the locals.

Yelp
Imagine 4 Latinas in Montreal, and we walk into Santos where they are playing Latin music, all night long. Of course we had a great time! Several locals recommended this place to us, and on our way back to our Airbnb we decided to stop in to check it out. What was supposed to be a quick stop, ended up being hours of dancing. The bar area is a bit uncomfortable, hard to get to it to get drinks, and with the loud music, some orders can get mixed up but that aside, the music here will not allow you to stop dancing at any point. The VIP area upstairs is comfortable, with couches, room to dance, and they send staff to serve the drinks and refill any bottle or mixers needed. They also have a coat check downstairs, so you are not having to carry bulky coats/ jackets and dance comfortably all night long. Bouncers kept the line coming in and out organized, and in nice, friendly manner. To anyone looking for a fun dance night, Santos is the place to be.

Yelp
Honestly one of the best places in the Old Port The staff and the DJ's are amazing Michael is the best Always threating us so well Food is also good, we come here all the time and the food was always the same and recently they have been changing the menu with different things which makes us so happy even tho the food before was good. Consider that it's a tapas bar so the portions are not big but it's perfect to get a few different plates to share. The shrimp tacos and oysters are a must to try here. This is a supper club/bar so food is served until a certain time. Tuesday is Ladies night Wednesday is Latin night Clientele is between 20 to 35ish Saturdays are where it's at Always have a blast when coming here and it feels like home Good music, food and good vibes only

Yelp
Review for Santos Bar The bar itself has a great vibe--nice music, good drinks, and friendly bartenders who know their craft. But unfortunately, the experience was completely overshadowed by the behavior of the bouncers. It's disappointing to see how the security team is operating in such a shady and disrespectful manner. I waited in line for over an hour, only to watch as certain people were charged $25 to enter while others were left standing. It became clear that the bouncers are pocketing these charges themselves, without management's consent. This not only ruins the atmosphere but also damages the reputation of Santos Bar. To the Santos Bar management: if this behavior continues, it will harm your business. Allowing bouncers to act with no accountability will drive away loyal customers and bring down what could otherwise be a fantastic bar experience.

Yelp
It is so loud, that it shakes the walls of the nearby buildings. Do not recommend, stay away.

Yelp
If you're in Montreal and need a good meal "off the late night" I highly recommend Santos. A friend and I were looking for a dinner spot after arriving in Montreal and a quick google search led us to this spot. We started the night off with tequila shots to kick off our sister weekend and margarita's. I ordered the steak tacos and my friend ordered ribs, yes ribs at a Mexican spot. The ribs were probably some of the best ribs that I've E V E R had and I come from a family that cooks ribs faithfully - hopefully they don't see this post lol. Our server was amazing and gave us a list of things to do in Montreal. We ended our dinner experience with churros which...y'all mouth watering, even as I'm writing this post lol. All this to say 10/10 Santos is it!

Yelp
upon arrival we were met with immense hostility. When we were finally sat, our server was incredibly rude throughout our dining experience and left us all feeling very inadequate and uncomfortable. I want to emphasize that the two male bussers were super kind and very attentive and were the best part of our experience. Appetizers took over an hour to get to our table after ordering even though we ordered shortly upon arrival, and the mains were never delivered. We ordered multiple appetizers and upon delivery some were not delivered and when asked, our server said they were not put in the system and would take too long to be delivered to us. After 2 hours I ordered a vodka soda that took 20 minutes to arrive and it ended up being a tequila soda. After 2.5 hours and not having our food, we had to leave and never got to properly eat. Really sad to say this was a horribly below subpar experience at Santos and we will not be coming back again or recommending this restaurant to any of our friends.

Yelp
If you're looking for your next ladies night, Santos has got your back every Tuesday night! With their 35$ formula you get 2 plates and unlimited drinks all. night. long. (you read that right!) We ordered the shrimp and pork tacos which were both very good, although we preferred pork! The fries were delicious and crunchy, the cheese platter was diverse and the charcuterie platter was definitely worth it. As for the dessert, we got a chocolate mousse which was good but not a must-have. The DJ was GREAT, he was mixing it up real nice and the whole vibe was really fun!!
google avatar

Corina S.

Yelp
I went when it was fairly chill. Good music volume, room to walk in and sitting down right away, and good service. Our waitress got our drinks perfect even though we ordered off the menu. I wish I had room to try the tacos, it smelled so yummy in there

Yelp
Perhaps the most disappointing place we visited in Montréal. Working so hard to be hip, they completely miss the mark. The music was good but too loud to be able to have a conversation without yelling. The lighting was so dim that we couldn't see the food to be able to tell what tasted so old.
google avatar

Fatima M.

Yelp
There are two security guards the unfortunate looking one is really mean. If you are dressed nicely he says are you balling on a budget. Because he will only allow people that get bottle service. We will probably spend the same amount of money on shots and drinks just let us in. He kept yelling money talks. But he kept letting his friends get in. We then said ok 6 of us bottle service and he said make it 2 bottles now. Wth!!! Then when we left after 2 hrs he yelled he was American, clearly he was Quebecoi. So I didn't even understand why he brought that up.

Yelp
So there's a bit of a story behind how we wound up at Santos. We had made a reservation for Garde Manger, which is basically right next door, and we were shown to two seats at a very crowded bar. Two stools over from us was a very drunk businessman harassing the woman sitting next to him. This was super annoying and obnoxious, but we tried our best to ignore him. He eventually attempted to draw us into his inebriated conversation and since we hadn't actually ordered anything yet, we decided to get the hell out of there. (As an aside, the sloppy drunkard also roped the bartender into his conversation and the bartender participated! I think if someone is that far gone, the employees have a duty to throw the inconsiderate idiot out - especially when it's clear he's bothering other customers.) Anyway, after we left we walked a few feet and noticed Santos. It was pretty empty and the vibe looked cool, so we decided to give it a shot. We were shown to a very spacious booth and we began poring over the fairly limited to menu in search of appetizing dishes. We ordered: Croquetas Trilogy (manchego, mushroom and jamon serrano): These three croquettes were absolutely irresistible. They're small but they packed a lot of flavor and the accompanying sauce was very tasty. Clarisse's Shrimps: This is an unusual dish, to be sure. It's essentially a shrimp quesadilla, which sounds weird but actually works really well. There's a very robust shrimp flavor and it's perfectly accompanied by a green salsa-type sauce. Tuna crudo with "pimientos de padron" and ginger chips: This was the one weak spot in the meal. The generous chunks of tuna were basically drowned out by an intense citrus flavor. The chips were tasty, though, and so was the accompanying sauce. Mexican style chicken wings: I'm not generally a big chicken wing guy, but these were pretty phenomenal. The chicken was cooked perfectly, but the real hero here was the accompanying barbecue sauce. It was so tangy and so delicious I feel like I could've drunk an entire mug of the stuff. The service was just so-so. Our waitress wasn't especially friendly and in fact seemed annoyed by our very presence, but I suppose you have to expect that when you're eating at a "cool" restaurant.

Yelp
So let me start by saying this place was found by accident. It was pouring outside and the restaurant we wanted to go to was packed so we walked and found Santos. And boy what a blessing it was indeed. The Coca flatbread is delicious. It's a flatbread with fresh ricotta, truffled honey, and pistachios. It was perfection. We also tried the crispy shrimp tacos, which were balanced, well cooked, and flavorful. Those two tapas paired with sangria are a match made in heaven. Our waiter was always attentive and kind. After a tour at the cathedral, I recommend some tapas and sangria here after.
google avatar

Rob S.

Yelp
will say that the staff was very welcoming and attentive, however, we came for the food and it was just bland to be honest. We had the chips and guacamole. Chip fresh, guacamole, no spice or real flavor. then we had the steak tacos, again just bland and wanting. It's been a while since i have been this disappointed in the flavor. I will marks for presentation, but my eye missed the spice that was needed.

Yelp
THIS IS NOT LATE NIGHT FOOD! This is a bar only after 11:00pm They were cool and let me in with no reservation when they were busy and the drinks were good but everything I could see online said they had food which they do not! Come to party but not if you're hungry

Yelp
I came to Canada in December/January to celebrate New Years. One night we went out to celebrate a friends birthday and ended up here for dinner. The paella was hands down the BEST paella I've ever had. They even brought out sparklers with the dessert. Sangria was average. Place turned into a dance club towards the end of the night. Wasn't too pack. Music was enjoyable.

Yelp
Came here on a Saturday night for my friends birthday. I am not a Fan of Spanish cuisine or Tapas, so i wasn't really looking forward to the supper part of the night. I got there around 7:30pm and the place was already 3/4 full. I was immediately drawn to the decor and ambiance, stunning bar with a lit message in top saying " Welcome home" also a mix of modern and old century furniture. People were just mingling and laughing, I really enjoyed the vibe that I was getting. When everybody from our group arrived the waiter, Anas, explained tonus that for $40 per person we could order a 4 course meal specially designed by the chef that was half Mexican, half Spanish. I personally didn't like anything on their menu so i thought this would be a great way to discover what this restaurant/lounge had to offer. They started us of with a board of chorizo, fresh grilled bread, cheese, pickled vegetables and some spicy mustard on the side. Then they brought grilled romaine lettuce with a Latin inspired Caesar sauce, which although I don't like anchovies, I really enjoyed this plate. This was followed by grilled bread with a mashed tomatoes, you could compare it to bruschetta, but with a latin twist. Then we got cheese balls, which were really crispy outside and very chewing and delicious inside and last but not least grilled octopus served on a toasty tortilla with avocado and feta cheese. I really enjoyed all the flavours and nuance each plate and. Also their drinks were THE BOMB!!! As the night progress the music got louder and around 10pm DJ kicked in with some really great mixes from the 80's up to the newest hits. Again our waited was outstanding, making sure everybody was happy, always checking if we needed anything. I place I would happily go back to.

Ana C.

Yelp
Adding one star because I was at a special event here and I found the food very tasty. The shrimp tacos and calamari were really good. I also tried the octopus, guacamole and charcuterie table.

Andrew P.

Yelp
Went on a Friday night at 8pm or so for a drink and a starter. Drinks were nice, staff was friendly and good music. But the paella... woof. Calling yourself a tapas bar and serving that is a shame. Thirty two bucks for a very small portion, two of the clams were shut (I'm not chancing that) and bland bland bland rice. Stick to just the cocktails.

Yelp
Amazing food. Amazing service. Amazing ambience. It was my friend's 19th birthday and we were looking for a dinner/drinks place that could be a place where we could stay after. Santos was the perfect place. 40$ per person for a set menu is the best bet for groups, as you get try everything and they bring you tons of amazing food. Some of the highlights include the ricotta flatbread, mushroom and goat cheese salad, and the tuna tartare. The drinks were also exceptional, some of them even coming in seashell and flower pot cups! The music and soundtrack flowed throughout the night, allowing us to dance and sing all while enjoying our dinner. Our waitress, Naomi, was phenomenal and very professional. She was attentive to our needs and made the paying situation for our group of 15 a breeze. Definitely coming back here.

Yelp
Came here for a friends birthday. Service is friendly and very helpful. The ambiance of the restaurant/bar is warm and cozy yet the spot itself is quite happening! The drinks were great!! Perfect spot for a chill night out!!

Yelp
Service is abysmally slow. We were sitting at a table for 20 min before even a menu was brought. Ordered several drinks and a bottle of wine, which took another 15 min to arrive. Glasses were dropped by staff, with the resulting glass not immediately cleaned up, and when it was, we still found shards in the bottom of our shoes. Completely ridiculous given a beer is $12 after taxes and tip. On top of this, at night, this place tries very hard to be a club. Loud music (has promise, but why isn't there a dance floor then?), handsy dudes, the works. I can't fault them for wanting to attract that crowd, but it could be executed so much better. Even if you're a group of single people out to paint the town red, there are plenty of better options nearby to see and be seen.

Tyler E.

Yelp
Came here with two friends on a busy Saturday night. We had a reservation, but when we got to the front of the line the bouncer refused to let us in because i was wearing a cross-body bag. His exact words were "I don't do satchels". Whatever that's supposed to mean. I opened it and offered to let him check it, thinking that perhaps security was his main concern, but he refused to even look, just repeating himself with an idiotic, blank expression on his face. We were stunned and stepped to the side where we waited for a few minutes, during which time I watched him let in multiple other people, all women, with similar bags. Seeing this, i asked to speak with a manager and the bouncer refused to go get them. I kept asking and after the third or fourth time i was told that if i kept it up, i was going to "get a beating". The ABSOLUTE WORST experience i've ever had and i would recommend anyone looking for a good time stay away from here until they find some new bouncers. Completely disgusting.

Yelp
Traipsing around on a Sunday night, looking for a spot to eat dinner, we discovered many restaurants were closed. After reading a few menus posted outside, Santos' looked the most appetizing to our light appetite. This tapas restaurant is trendy and loungy with red lights, house music, and waitresses in short black dresses. Clientele were young and good looking. Our server asked us what kind of wine we were having but we decided on cocktails (Sapphire Fizz for me which was tasty). We ordered a green salad (good sized with sweet balsamic dressing), grilled chorizo (good, looked like a chicken breast) and goat cheese croquettes (awesome, recommended by our waitress). Drinks + food = $45 (not including tip)
google avatar

Derek S.

Yelp
Santos specializes in Spanish Tapas (small plates). Staying true to form, the only wines they serve are Spanish. They also have the largest variety of mojitos I've ever seen. We shared the Blueberry-Lavender; Perfection. This being our second stop of the night, we shared an order or the grilled calamari. They hold a nice charcoal flavor and are simply treated with fresh lemon, lime, and a few other spices.

Yelp
I came across Santos the old-fashioned way -- it was recommended to me by the bartender at the hotel in which I'm staying. It also came with a free drink card and who am I to turn down a free drink?! I hadn't planned on eating at Santos, but after trying to secure reservations at a few other very popular Montréal restaurants without success, I decided I'd redeem my free drink coupon after all, and have a tasty dinner while I was at it. I got there fairly early in the evening on a Saturday and it was nearly empty. The staff seated me right away and, although I was eating alone, they sat me at a table, when I'm usually seated at the bar. Most places can't be bothered to take up expensive table real estate with a single diner, so I was appreciative! I actually found the staff to be attentive and friendly throughout my entire meal. When I gave them the drink card, my waiter didn't even blink and said "I'm sure my manager will take care of this for you." Next thing I knew, the manager walked over with two shot glasses and said "for eating with us tonight on recommendation from your hotel". Sweet! And delicious. Also, seeing how Santos is a martini bar, I also ordered a "So Fresh" martini. I'm not a huge martini drinker and it wasn't as sweet as I'd have liked, but it was fresh and good. Santos is a tapas-style restaurant, so I ordered the Blackened Salmon with Avocado Salsa served with seasonal veggies and, of course, the frites! Nom, nom, nom! The presentation of the food was fantastic and was appropriately hot. Lukewarm or lukecold food is a pet peeve of mine, but Santos did not disappoint. The food was good and, while I don't think there was any avocado in the salsa, it was tasty nonetheless. They cleared my table quickly, but I ended up sitting far too long after dinner before they brought me my cheque. I find this quite often in Toronto, too, but this was a little excessive. They were busy, but I felt like the girl in the bubble who everyone was ignoring! Once I finally got my cheque, I saw that they'd not only brought me the complimentary shot, but they'd also comp'd the martini. Even sweeter. And very generous. I paid my respects by moving over to the bar after dinner and spending an appropriate amount of money on their delicious mojitos. :-) Overall, I found Santos to be a great experience. Is it the best restaurant on the planet? No, but it's perfectly located in Old Montréal with good food, great drinks, fantastic and helpful staff, and super cool decor.

Yelp
My friends and I stopped in unplanned while visiting Montreal on a girls weekend. We were immediately seated at 7pm and the place was pretty quiet. They told us we had to be out by 9pm which we had a tour scheduled and weren't concerned. We were a party of 6. We ordered pretty quickly and were very pleased with our food. BUT we weren't pleased with how it came out. Our apps came (guacamole is AMAZING) quickly but our entrees were delivered at different times. The 2 people who ordered tacos got them literally 10 minutes after everyone else received their food. We think they forgot to put the order in... The drinks were not strong and the wine pours were literally 5oz or maybe less. So don't expect any generosity! I paid $30 for a true glass of wine. Atmosphere is clean and service is very friendly.

Isabel P.

Yelp
drinks were great. some of the best tacos i've ever had but the portions are really small so i recommend getting more food. loved the decor.

Yelp
Hugely poor service. Inattentive, moody staff and felt ignored. It wasn't even busy at the time. Try to avoid if possible unless you want to stand around waiting for someone to help you.

Yelp
Wonderful bar in Old Montreal. They have a nice list of unique cocktails. The bartender made me a special drink made with mezcal. It was smoky goodness. Don't miss Old Montreal. It's beautiful.

Yelp
DO NOT GO HERE. I'll update this review later with more details but I have to say from all my travels, this was the worst experience I've ever had. Our trip to Montreal was great and everyone was so nice with the exception of the staff at this place. They legit have two lines. One for males and one for females. We were there celebrating a bride to be and we got in line. As we moved up (only because people in front of us were leaving) we saw that the bouncer was only letting men in. When we asked what was going on, he ignored us and any other females. We then asked for bottle service and we were still ignored. However, any man that came by was given a hug and let right in. Men actually were coming out saying "oh wow this is where the ladies are" and one group of men that were let in came out as the bouncer wouldn't let his girlfriend in, even though they were all together. It was our mistake for standing around so long but the entire situation was so bizarre. We left after an hour and still can't believe this happened. I've never experienced such blatant sexism and been treated so poorly, especially as a group in my life before.

Linzey L.

Yelp
The vibe is great and so is the music, however the service really needs improvement and management is terrible. Owner needs to attend to this place. You can tell that they have preferences on specific people they know and the way the are treated.
google avatar

Gurvinder K.

Yelp
They just started their Thursday evening 5 a 7, great vibe and great tunes. They have a new DJ who really knows how to transition the music throughout the night. Service was a little slow for food. Drinks came on time. A mixed aged group and something for everyone who wants to go out for a drink and good music after work. It does get pretty busy by 7, so you won't really be able to hear other afterwards.

Roya D.

Yelp
I was extremely offended and decapointed by this place, we paid a lot of money to have our table all is well and at the end of night my friend and I went to pick up our jacket, 3 bouncers was talking to my friend while I was ordering our uber, my friend refused one of the bouncer advances and him and his friends threw her out of the place like a dog and I tried to stop this non sense then they turned towards me and threw me out 3 big guys threw a small girl like me out because of a stupidity. I opened a police file against this incident and they will hear from me again. Do not go to this place because that is how they did with sexual harassment.

JKL L.

Yelp
My boyfriend and I came to Montreal for a quick little get away from our kids, so we came on a budget. My bf read online somewhere that Santos is a great place for ladies night. So that's exactly what we did on our Tuesday night in Montreal. The deal was that from 6-12, you would have to order 25 dollars worth of tapas to get "unlimited drinks" aka "open bar." It said it just like that on the flyer they gave us with the rest of the drink menu. The ambience of the restaurant was nice, our table was really small though so we used the two chairs as tables. The music was amazing too. Our waiter was very kind, he spoke French and English, but more fluent in french (which maybe the reason for the language barrier at the end of the night when getting our check...) The food was good, my bf ordered the charcuterie board and it came with two selections of cheese, and two kinds of Italian meats, mini pickles, a few pickled veggies, onions, pistachios, candies pecans, fig spread, mustard and some fruit and bread. My only complaint would be the amount of cheese was so little. And for 25 I would expect a little more. I ordered three tapas (so I could get the unlimited drinks deal) first was the shrimp tapas and it kinda looked like a quesadilla garnished with guacamole and another spicy sauce. Second was the tuna tartar with rice chips. The tuna tartar was very different from what I normally taste, it was sour. It was different, but not something I would order again. Lastly was the Mexican style wings, which has a BBQ infused sauce on it. I liked the sauce and the plate came with a paint brush which was kinda cute. Over all they did a good job plating the dishes. For drinks I ordered the Ave Maria (came with a ton of fruits) 2 Ya Man (to die for drink) and then a white sangria and a shot of tequila. My borfriend for the Potion, vodka soda water and a shot of tequila too. So fast forward to the end of the night, I had already ordered 25 dollars worth of tapas and we get the bill and legit, my mouth dropped to the floor when I saw the bill. It was $170 Canadian dollars. Like whaaattttt?!?! Our waiter changed me for all of my drinks despite me ordering over 25 worth of tapas. And then it dawned on me that maybe it was only for the 4 drinks that were listed on the "ladies night -open bar - free drinks - unlimited" flyer only? Well whatever it is, I don't think I will ever go back because of this. We paid 200 (30 for tip) and left with dust bunnies in our wallets.

Yelp
Pros: solid food. Cons: poor service and underwhelming portion size (and yes, I know tappas are supposed to be small)

Yelp
Santos: You get in.. No coat check... You set and put your coat on the chair.. After some time, you're forced to give up your chair with the option to keep carrying your coat or pay "someone" to take care of it. Warning: If you choose to keep your coat and go out for a break of fresh air, expect to be kicked out by force because you have to take this coat off! Worst service and nonsense ever existed in Montreal.

Yelp
Nice place, no cover, good music and beautiful people! Line was a bit long, but if you get bottle service you can skip that! It's has a chill friendly vibe, good place to go dance and unwind without drama! Also check this spot out on a Tuesday, its fun ladies night, except the music was thumbs down.

Yelp
My friend that lives in Montreal brought me to Santos and I really enjoyed it. The vibe is mellow early evening then turns up a knot as it heads into the night. The decor is awesome I noticed a lot of catholic fatima/Mary's around the spot. We went on a Tuesday which is "ladies night" I love the concept, spend $25 on food and ladies drink free (the drink is a any well liquor with a mix) I got rum and soda with pineapple juice which was delicious, I had about 5 of them so it was totally worth the $25 on food! This was my second time here I went around 5pm stayed till 9. A DJ came on just about as we were to leave. I heard a couple songs and he was good . & The music playing earlier even without the DJ was good. I ate the quesadilla which was delicious crispy outside soft inside with guacamole, chips and guac the chips were corn, fish tacos which were delicious, and the flat bread with salmon which was waaaaay tooo salty so I had to send it back. But overall the food was really good and I'd recommend! The last time I came to santos I came later for drinks and it's a great time as well I got to dance with my friends and vibe to the music. I think it's a just see place in Montreal for sure! I'll be back!

Yelp
Super busy with fun music playing so we walked in, ordered a couple of drinks. It took quite a while, and unfortunately both were awful - cocktail so sweet it was undrinkable and beer served totally flat. I'd avoid it - touristy/bachelorette party place.

Yelp
Santos is a pretty staple spot for DJs spinning on a week night, with a red light warming up the spot- it doesn't really give an inviting feel to the place. There are two floors and the decor is nice, very spacious. Food can get on the pricier side like drinks-in old Montreal that's pretty standard. Ladies night is free basic drinks all night with 25$ food purchase - which adds up quickly. The cocktails are average. The crowd is young (early 20s).

Yelp
So I went to Santos with a couple of friends for Ladies Night. The ambiance, decor and music were great and the place itself is really charming. The food isn't so bad either. What we did not like, was the (really) poor service that we got. It was a pain in the ass to get our drinks, the food and our bills. It was really frustrating and they were mistaken in our orders, giving us wrong drinks, forgetting about this and that, serving other people who came way after us, before us and they made us wait about 20 minutes to get the bills out and another 15 minutes to bring the machine so we could pay and leave. The waiter was rude. We were so displeased from our experience that we left and went to another greater restaurant. Bad experience! It could have been so much better, it's disapointing!

Yelp
Ladies' Night at Santos was a blast! For a Tuesday evening the tapas bar/restaurant had a pretty decent crowd. This was probably because they offered unlimited drinks (a selection of 4 including sangria, gin, vodka, and tequila) with the purchase of $25.00 worth of tapas. For places in Old Mtl this is a solid deal and we were in! For a busier Tuesday with the deal going the servers who we thought would be scrambling were actually helpful, polite and quick! Kudos. And while we thought the tapas would be teeny, they were the perfect size and filled us up on our night out. We tried the calamari, cous cous salad and the salmon tartare. All good options! The decor and ambience is beautiful! Dimly lit old chests and lanterns with a modern feel. Haven't tried the restaurant outside of this weekly event but I'd definitely recommend t on a Tuesday night. Cheers!

Yelp
A small pace with a Tex/ Mex menu. Had a combo band playing. Food was fresh and delicious. Staff very friendly and attentive. Real gem in the Old Town of Montreal. Reasonable prices. Bartender looks like Megan Draper who is also from Montreal.

Yelp
Don't come here, the food is extremely mediocre, nothing special. God forbid you show up 4 mins late to your reservation on a Tuesday when it's basically empty, they will treat you like they can't see you. The only reason we got a few drinks was because we had to share our frustration with the manager. Not coming back & I don't recommend you do either.

Yelp
This was my second time in Montreal but first time in Old Port. We tried to get into multiple restaurants (on a Saturday night) and couldn't because we didn't have reservations. When we came to santos, it was packed but luckily the host was able to fit us in! I got the sangria which was amazing! My boyfriend got a glass of wine (which was actually really small) and then switched to vodka tonics. We ordered the calamari and oysters. I would rate the calamari high on my list, while the oysters were mediocre. Overall, the atmosphere was very fun and included a DJ playing amazing music (great for 90s kids). Will definitely be back on any trip to Montreal!

Yelp
My friend had her birthday at Santos and it was turned out to be the most DISAPPOINTING bar I've ever been too. We had called several times to ask if we could make a reservation and at what time we should arrive and it turned out that, following their suggestions, barely no one was able to enter. The staff members were NOT cooperative at all. Worst customer service experience. Turned out we had to move the birthday elsewhere and let's say that no one wants stress and drama on her birthday, right? I would NEVER recommend this place, ever.
