Let me start by saying that this restaurant is awesome. Point blank, one of the best places I have ever eaten. My wife decided to come here just by looking at good places to go in Ft. Lauderdale and made a reservation. We were greeted by Enrico, the owner and our server for the night. He was a pro the entire time. He told us about how the recipes were all from his grandmother back in Italy. Everything we ate reflected that love. The Nonnas meatball appetizer was insane. They were delicious and we could’ve drank the rest of the marinara sauce with a straw. The eggplant appetizer was delicious too. I ordered the bolognese lasagna and my wife ordered the pesto gnocchi with chicken. Everything was amazing. Every bite. Even the dessert, tiramisu and salted caramel cheesecake were delectable. Service was top notch and everything came out quickly. 100% we will be back and soon at that. Thank you Enrico for everything.

We visited Sapido for dinner while in Ft Lauderdale. Very cute and intimate restaurant in a lovely part of town. We were seated immediately - not too much seating but we did not have to wait. Henrico, who served us but also happens to be the owner, was so kind and informative about the menu and wine options - a selection of his family recipes and favorite wines. We had the Cesar salad, eggplant parm. The eggplant was his grandmas recipe - no batter no fry - super light and delicious. You could taste the freshness of the eggplant and tomato sauce. The burrata was excellent - perfectly paired with arugula and tomatoes. The house bread and basil aioli was 10/10. We pesto gnocchi was cooked to perfection - I felt like they just melted in my mouth. Tiramisu for dessert is a MUST! Enrico thank you so much for the warm experience. We wish you the absolute best. Highly recommend when visiting Ft Lauderdale!

Google
An amazing small local Italian restaurant.. Great atmosphere, amazing food. Excellent service. Locally run and owned by an Italian gentleman. He was extremely attentive. And recommended wines and food. We started with a light white wine photo attached. And had the eggplant starter which was so tasty we ordered a second plate of it, and the mozzarella caprese. Yum. Then we had a fragrant bottle of red with dinner. I ordered the mushroom ravioli which are hand made in the restaurant daily, they were so good my friends ate some. And another friend was gluten intolerant so she ordered the gluten free penne with a basil pesto which was yummy. We finished with espressos and cappuccinos and tiramisu. An amazing dining experience will definitely recommend and go back soon.

Meal for two took 2 hours. We ordered an app and 2 pastas. We switched tables to accommodate more reservations showing up and the restaurant not having tables for new parties. Food was good but not amazing. Sadly, when the food finally arrived to the table, it was lukewarm. Very, very nice servers and staff but not sure what the heck was going on with the very slow kitchen and turn over.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at this amazing little spot after winning a giveaway, and wow, am I glad I did! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warmth and a genuine smile. The service was impeccable – attentive without being intrusive. And the food? Absolutely incredible! You can tell they use fresh, high-quality ingredients and put a lot of love into their dishes. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, making for a truly enjoyable experience. If you're looking for authentic flavors, top-notch service, and a great environment, this place is a must-try!

A charming, cozy spot serving genuinely authentic Italian cuisine — a rare find in Florida. The food is absolutely delicious, and the service is top-notch!

If you like finding a hidden gem, this is your kind of place. If you travel enough to Italy you will appreciate the casual Mediterranean sense of Sapido - very much like all local Osteria or trattoria. Make no mistake about it, this food is excellent. Everything we ate was fresh and homemade. The restaurant is extremely clean and the staff was very friendly and accommodating. Bottled water, bottle of wine (from my families town in Italy!), pizza, 2 pastas, dessert and espresso - $149.00. How can anyone complain about that!

Google
Hey my Pizones! 🍕 The best of the best for authentic Italian dining in Fort Lauderdale is Sapido. Just two blocks off Las Olas, this hidden gem takes your taste buds on a journey rarely found outside of Italy! From the moment you sit down, you’re greeted with warm, fresh bread and a mouthwatering buttery spread that sets the stage for what’s to come. We had little ones with us, and they absolutely loved the pizza and pasta with marinara sauce. Of course, we had to try the pizza ourselves—and it was so good, we ordered another to take home! We also indulged in the Gamberi e Avocado salad and the Pollo alla Pizzaiola (chicken breast), both of which were simply outstanding. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, making us feel like we were visiting family in the old country. Our host and server, Enrico, was incredibly attentive, ensuring every detail was perfect for a top-tier dining experience. Sapido is now our go-to spot for Italian food in Fort Lauderdale! Just a heads-up—you’ll want to make a reservation for dinner. Buon appetito! 🍷

Yelp
How? How have I lived here for nearly 20 years, this place has been open for about 10, and we are JUST now finding this gem?? This may have been one of the best meals we have had in a long, long time. Once I realized where this place was, I immediately had that, " Oh yeah!" moment. Wasn't sure just quite what to expect, but the menu looked great reviews were great, and we were excited. From the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for a great meal. The atmosphere screamed comfort, the staff were super welcoming, and the food that we saw peppered around on the tables was clearly delectable. My wife and I decided to do our own little tasting for our date night. We started with the octopus. Have you ever had octopus that melts in your mouth and tastes equally as delicious? No? Me either....until tonight. Such a simple preparation with flavors so perfectly balanced and mixed. Next we got pizza with fresh mozz, prosciutto and arugula. After scarfing down this delicious za, we only then were informed that they hoped it would be better next time because they're pizza oven is broken, so they're "doing what they can.". Are you kidding me?! It was awesome. Then came the stars of the meal. Gnocchi with Pesto and a special Rigatoni with guanciale. Holy S*#t. These, quite frankly, were the best pasta dishes I've put in my mouth. The pesto was so perfectly balanced, I cannot think of one I've had better. The special Rigatoni was amazingly warm, smokey, and sweet. Literally contemplated getting an order to go. We topped the meal off with a special lemon cream tarte that they flew in from Amalfi. This place is just incredible. So, simply put, run- don't walk- to make a reservation here and enjoy a meal to pleasure your mouth and your soul. We certainly will be again soon!

Yelp
This is a small, authentic Italian spot with a cozy, local feel. I've ordered takeout from here a few times, and their personal-sized pizzas are always a solid choice perfect if you live nearby and want something quick and tasty. Dined in recently and tried the lobster ravioli, which was definitely the highlight of the meal--rich, flavorful, and cooked well. One thing that threw me off was the pasta being served in the pot it was cooked in. While it might be part of the rustic charm, it wasn't quite what I expected from a sit-down experience. Overall, it's a decent neighborhood restaurant. I'd stick to takeout for pizza, but it's worth trying if you're in the area. This is a small, authentic Italian spot with a cozy, local feel. Yelp
Sapido Italian Market & Café - A True Italian Gem in Las Olas Sapido Italian Market & Café in Fort Lauderdale is an absolute treat for anyone who loves authentic Italian cuisine. Every visit feels like a mini escape to Italy, thanks to their outstanding service, warm ambiance, and the passion that shines through in every dish. Their handcrafted pastas are truly remarkable -- fresh, flavorful, and made with love. Their pizzas are equally impressive, balancing a perfect crust with thoughtfully chosen toppings. Sapido's wine list is a standout as well, offering a curated selection of affordable Italian gems that pair beautifully with the menu. Whether you're stopping by for a casual family dinner, meeting friends, or hosting a business lunch, Sapido delivers every time. I've been back more than ten times -- and every visit just gets better. If you're looking for a spot that combines delicious food, great wine, and a welcoming vibe, Sapido should be at the top of your list Gary Grunner @garygrunner

Yelp
Hidden Gem Alert Food 10 out of 10. Lets start with all the pasta is made in house and they have the best lasagna in south Florida. The bolognese sauce was made to perfection. Service was excellent, very attentive. Super cute cozy little spot with a lot types of wines. This is definitely my new to go Italian spot. Check it out and thank me later

Yelp
I cajoled two friends to join me for dinner at Sapido. It was our first visit to this Italian bistro. The place is very small inside. Luckily they do have a few tables outside. They identify as a market and a restaurant but I found the inventory to be too small to even be noticeable. The place is popular as a casual dinner place for Victoria Park residents. Sadly, our experience was disappointing. Most everything was delivered lukewarm- meatballs, ravioli, margherita pizza. Only the veggie pizza was pipping hot. The meatballs were tiny, golf ball sized. They had a chewy texture that was weird. The $12 wine pour was skimpy. The ravioli entree ($27) was small with only 5 pieces and the sauce was like a room temperature tomato soup. Street parking can be difficult here. I was embarrassed in front of my friends. The bill was very high for what you get.

Yelp
The food, service and ambiance was excellent. Sapido is a small, intimate restaurant. The food was authentic Italian, the wine selection was superb and the wait staff was attentive and timely. This has become our favorite Italian restaurant in the Ft Lau

Yelp
Great spot for Italian food downtown Fort Lauderdale. The dining room is small so be sure to make a reservation. We opted to sit outside which was lovely. It was dark but they had umbrellas which I imagine would be nice on the sunny days. We ordered wine, spaghetti carbonara, ragu, and the tiramisu to finish. The carbonara and tiramisu were amazing. The ragu was okay- could be more flavorful. Overall I will return. It's a great addition to the city.

Yelp
We found this little Italian eatery in the midst of an Italian food craving. It was highly ranked and people raved over its food. We walked into a smallish dining room where one of the chefs was making pasta on the table by hand. It was quite amazing to see. An entire wall was filled with wine. We were greeted immediately and sat at a wooden table with a pizza rack built in. I ordered a veggie pizza and my daughter ordered the gnocchi with pesto. A small basket of bread was provided. The food came out promptly. The pizza was incredibly delicious and made to my custom order. There was olive oil on the table and I used it to dip the crust. My daughter cleaned her plate. She said it was one of the best gnocchi she's had. Even though the dining room was small, I would highly recommend a visit. The food is amazing, service was excellent and the ambiance was quaint.

Yelp
Came here Saturday night, highly recommend making a reservation on the weekends because the restaurant has limited seating and gets filled! Started off with the bruschetta rustica tricolore which was delicious. For entrees we got the gnocchi al pesto and spaghetti al pomodoro. Although the gnocchi wasn't horrible, the pomodoro was better in my opinion! Both good options though. Finished off with tiramisu with was split between 4 people and was enough. Very spongey and tasty! Our server was very sweet and handled us with lots of care even though it was very busy. It felt like I stepped into Italy while there because they were also playing Italian music. Will definitely be going back!
google avatar

Seema G.

Yelp
This place was ok. The bread and chili oil are very good and the bruschetta was pretty good. But the pasta fell short.. the spaghetti sauce tasted like hunts, everyone else was underwhelmed but their meals. I wish I went to north italia instead...
google avatar

Kathy G.

Yelp
First time here and found on accident!! What a cute little Italian restaurant. We enjoyed their chicken and homemade spaghetti pomodoro sauce. The server was so nice, she kept bringing us more bread to soak up the sauce. The bread was fantastic- Gran Forno, and we will be back to try their pizza!

Yelp
My husband and I love Italy and the fresh, simple tastes of authentic Italian food- this is the place. Yes, we like "American" Italian as well but this place is special with it's real authentic flavors. The pasta cooked perfectly al dente, sauce so simple and fresh I can't describe, nothing short of being in Italia :) I'm almost afraid to write this review because I don't want this hidden gem to get too crowded.

Katrina R.

Yelp
Simple yet delicious! I wish I had found this lovely gem earlier of my trip then I would definitely come back to try more dishes. The spaghetti is handmade and the texture is so perfect. Chewy yet not too hard. Perfectly cooked. I appreciate simple dishes like this because you could tell the chef really put heart into it. Ingredients are super fresh. Yum Service is excellent.

Yelp
Sooo I've been here before and it was delicious. This time is wasn't so great. Consistency is important to me and you never know what you will get here. The pizza seems to be not cooked all the way and comes out soggy. The staff showed Me the crust and it's pre made. They say the sauce and cheese make it soggy. This seems to be an issue for others as well. I got the bolognese and it had no flavor and the first time I had it, it was amazing. I did get a refund for the pizza but I was bummed cause that's all I wanted. They do have delicious truffle cups at the front they sell. It's a cute small restaurant and the staff are friendly with good service. I just wish it was more consistent cause it's not cheap.

Yelp
The food was delicious and felt authentic. The service was good and pretty quick. The ambience is quaint and good to hold a conversation.

Yelp
This should be a 5, the food, and the service were very good. Something came to my attention when I looked at the receipt the next day that really annoyed me. My husband and I had a nice dinner. Everything was fine until I realized there was something deceptive here. The prices on the final receipt from the terminal were 4% higher than what was listed on the menu. I didn't notice this until I stumbled on the receipt the next day. I saw this once before at another restaurant and just chalked it up to a price increase that wasn't posted on the menu. What made me look twice was the price had pennies added to it. For example, if the price for the salad was $16 the charge card receipt posted it at $16.64. Something you wouldn't even notice because the bill came with the $16 charge, so the machine automatically changes the price, and you won't notice it until you actually look at the printed receipt. How many of us just roll up the receipt and put it in a pocket? Is it a lot of money... no... it's the principal and clearly deceitful. No signage no postings... no separate line item explaining the surcharge...just 4% added to the credit card charge. Restaurants are now charging a fee for using a credit card. This, at 4% is the highest I've seen. To be charged without knowing is bad and needs to be called out. I owned a business, and my husband currently accepts credit cards at his business, so I am very familiar with the cost of credit card charges. If you shop around you can get credit card processing for 1.9% so that basically tells me that either the business owner is lazy and didn't want to shop around or they're just making a couple of extra points and because of the dishonesty, I will never go back here again.

Yelp
So this is a different sort of Review, as I have yet to eat at Sapido. My sister-in-law says it's great and it's my daughter's favorite restaurant in Ft. Lauderdale (& trust me, she eats at restaurants 5 nights a week, she knows restaurants). I attempted to buy my daughter a Gift Certificate from Sapido, online, for Christmas. As of yet, they don't offer that convenience, so I emailed a general information email address. Yesterday, I got a phone call from the owner. At first I thought it was a "crank call", as I had trouble understanding the caller's accent. We're all familiar with those calls, right? After a minute or two, I finally realized who I was talking with and he was apologizing that it took some time for him to respond and he'd be happy to accommodate whatever I needed for my daughter. He didn't email me back ... he picked up the telephone and called me. This is what the restaurant business is really about ... hospitality and personal service. Anyone who owns a restaurant and goes to this length to satisfy a perspective customer he doesn't even know, is a person I'd trust to serve me a nice meal. Give Sapido a try, I'm sure you'll love it as much as my daughter does.

Yelp
This is a very cozy and charming restaurant with delicious food! Everything was so fresh with perfectly satisfying portion sizes. The ideal date spot and a 2 min walk away from los olas! Our server was also very friendly!

Yelp
Had my eye on this place for quite some time and finally went for a night out with my boyfriend. It was a Thursday and yet it was quite busy. The place it pretty small, which I loved because it was more of an intimate setting. Our server was super friendly and attentive and came by our table to take our drink orders and hand off a basket of complimentary bread within minutes of us being seated. I had a glass of Cabernet to start and then placed an order for a margarita pizza while my boyfriend asked for the spaghetti carbonara. Both were delicious! For dessert, we went with one their specials, torta della nonna, which was like a lemon custard cake...it was amazing! Definitely will be adding this spot to my casual night out rotation.
google avatar

Lindsay S.

Yelp
The food is always OUTSTANDING!!! We have made our way through a good part of the menu so we tried the specials this visit.....WOW!!!! We love the small, quaint, interactive, authentic atmosphere! If it's just you, or +1, sit at the little bar to see all these amazing dishes come out of their magical kitchen! The service and staff are always top-notch!!!

Yelp
Last time will order takeout due to the bad overpriced 12' pizza they charge for $22 Was undercooked not enough cheese etc. It's not the first time it's whoever is there apparently.

Dave H.

Yelp
Went for an early dinner before seeing a show last evening. Outstanding is an understatement and a disservice to the establishment. It is incredibly hard to do simple Italian food well, and Sapido does this beautifully. From the wine selection, to the bread service, the main and the phenomenal Tiramisu, we couldn't have asked for more.

Marna C.

Yelp
Just had an amazing dinner ... fresh burrata, lasagna, Palova ... really a spectacular gem just off Las Olas!
google avatar

Damian M.

Yelp
Amazing service. The ambiance there was incredible. The service was as great as the food, 5 star.

Lori F.

Yelp
Sapido!! Outstanding!!! We had take out tonight for the first time and what a treat- as in we thought we were back in Italy as I devoured my lasagne!! Presentation and portion were perfect for take out so added bonus. Immediately u know these lasagne noodles were homemade and together with the perfect meat sauce, cheeses and the flavors u know this dish was made with love! Excellent bread too- tastes like real flour imported from Italy. Delish!! I can't wait to tell our friends about Sapido!! We are going to for sure order again and check out dining at restaurant next time. We would have posted pix but we were so happy we ate it all!!!
google avatar

Dave M.

Yelp
I have gone to Sapito several times now and always had a great dinner! I am particularly fond of the gnocchi's in pesto. They are so delicious and melt in your mouth no matter what you order, you will not be disappointed. Claudio is a gracious host as our all of the other servers at Sapito.
google avatar

Kirk F.

Yelp
Delicious delicious delicious!! I never thought a simple food like spaghetti could taste so good, but Sapido proved me wrong!! I had previously tried the lasagna, and it was outstanding. It was clearly homemade pasta, so I was excited to try something else. The spaghetti was fresh, flavorful, and made me want to come back soon to try the rest of the menu! If you're looking for authentic Italian- look no further. I can't wait to go back!!

Yelp
Ordered carry out pizza from this cute little restaurant. Service was friendly and fast, food was hot and delicious. I'll have to eat in next time and probably up the rating.

Scotty C.

Yelp
The food is excellent and we enjoy the ambiance and neighborhood vibe just as much. The quaint space feels very similar to the local restaurants I have visited in Florence. The staff is the best, and Silvia is such a great waitress. Definitely worth checking out if you are looking for something more authentic & local to Fort Lauderdale than the large restaurants on Las Olas.

Clevis F.

Yelp
I moved into one of the buildings next to Sapido. I went several times in the first month because it was convenient. The portions are okay. You'll never leave either a doggy bag. I was fine with that. What I was not fine with was asking for an order of any pasta to place under the meatball entree that wasn't cheap. I was told no. They also only off a 4.50 oz wine pour. That's annoying but as I was becoming a regular most restaurants and bartenders and waiters appreciate your business and generous tips. The young male manager seemed unable to see the forest for the trees. Had I been treated better I'd be going there 1-2 times per week. It's literally downstairs. There is also something off about the vibe the staff put out there. Maybe a little aloof? Not sure. Odd.
google avatar

Gino A.

Yelp
Great authentic Italian experience. Food was delicious, good wine selection, very personal service. A hidden gem of Ft. Lauderdale!

Geysa S.

Yelp
Delicious little family restaurant. Good is always amazing, good selection of Italian wines and very accommodating staff. Great hidden gem just a block behind Las Olas Blvd.

Josh C.

Yelp
Been to this place a lot for dinner, love it. Excellent food and small trattoria atmosphere, great wines. Suggested it yesterday for work lunch and it was laughable - ridiculously expensive for small lunch servings, presentation was slop, one person added a side of chicken -an extra $8 for 3 small strips of hard chicken (1/4 breast or ess?) probably cooked a few days ago. I saw a girl in the kitchen making the food which made it even less appetizing; definitely not a chef. Hunks of onion in the salad, sandwich filling all plopped in the middle. It wasn't even very busy, no one was rushed. I was so embarrassed for raving about the place. The guy in charge is usually charming at night - acted aloof and like he never saw me before (I honestly have been there 8 times for dinner in the past 3 months). I might try it again for dinner in a few months, but never again for lunch. Today found Heritage, not too far away, which is A-mazing!
google avatar

Creighton F.

Yelp
A phenomenal meal and great experience is the least I can say. The wine was great and the ambience relaxing. The portions are not the biggest but the dishes pack a lot of flavor and the Mediterranean salad was one of the best I've had in a months. Seating wise this is not a large place but I prefer these nice romantic type setups where you have good energy while enjoying your meal.
google avatar

Nina J.

Yelp
I love authentic delicious pasta! Was very excited to come to this place, make it your job to make a reservation if coming on the weekend!! They get a lot of business but do not have a huge sitting area. My friends and I sat outside and was given this crisp sweet moscato it had a chocolate undertone which was decadent. The pizza my friends picked, im not an arugula girl so i'm wishing you the best! The pasta carbonara was actually very creamy, great amount of meat and sauce and the pasta was el dente!!! I recommend this or the lobster ravioli, you will not be disappointed.

Mark S.

Yelp
a RARE 5-stars from me. All food is EXCELLENT. Random find across street from my new building. Approx 25-person indoor seating including 2-spots at the small bar, plus some outdoor street corner tables. Small, friendly staff who are all close knit and operate smoothly. They have a wine selection, but I'm not qualified to comment. Been there 3-times in a very short period with people who felt the same--80+ year old parents loved it, my 23 & 21-year-old kids loved it, and my girlfriend loved it.
google avatar

Mark B.

Yelp
Awesome, little spot with minimal seating but the food is exceptional! Get there early if you don't have reservations. Can't go wrong with anything on menu authentic Italian food not American Italian.
google avatar

Natalie P.

Yelp
If you're looking for a cozy, romantic dinner look no further. This cute little restaurant comes with quite the experience! The staff were an absolute delight and very attuned during our meal. My husband and I felt like we were transported to Italy with this dinner. The food was phenomenal. Hands down one of the best meals we've had in months!

Yelp
Such a cute hidden gem. The inside is cozy but I like the vibe. The food was reallllly delicious, all the dishes we got were good. My favorite was the ravioli, I definitely want to come back and try the pizza and the other pasta dishes. For more of my recommendations follow me on insta @kristythefloridafoodie

Yelp
We accidentally found this restaurant and we can't stop talking about how delicious the food, beer, and dessert was! it's very popular, so try to make reservations if possible. Team is all Italian and we felt like we were back in Italy! A must go!

Yelp
Holy crap. Just discovered this spot down the street from me and it's by far the best Pasta I've had in South Florida. Authentic homemade dishes. Tucked off of Las Olas so not in the crazy. AMAZING BREAD. Don't forget to use the olive oil and balsamic on the table. And fresh Pepper. The pasta is perfectly cooked and is very fresh. They slow cook their sauce for hours and you can tell. Decent portion size. It's reasonably priced given the location and quality. I recommend the tagliatelle. My bf got the ravioli which he said was good but was on the smaller side for him. The side salad ($8) comes with arugula/mixed greens, tomato, cucumber and hearts of palm. The flourless chocolate cake is also very decadent and delicious. They added berries at my request. I've been back twice already in a week. They give you 10% off to-go orders! My only gripe is that they gave me different bread (it was like a pita?!) with my to-go order. Next time I'll request the fresh crunchy stuff that they serve in the restaurant. They also have a nice Italian wine list if you dine in. Sad they are not doing their happy hour anymore! :( They have a couple of tables inside and outside and you can take your pick. I'll be back!

Yelp
I've lived in Fort Lauderdale almost my entire life and this spot opened while I was living in NYC. So obviously seeing the amazing reviews, I was eager to support a newish local business I had yet to try. I HATE dinging a local business, but this feedback needs to be received loud and clear. When I first arrived, I was not greeted at the door...more like stared at from behind the counter. So my husband and I walked around a little to pick a seat. Then a woman shouted in a very stern and rude tone, "DO YOU HAVE A RESERVATION?!" and I said I didn't. She demanded that I wait outside while she looks for a table (there's like 8 tables in the place.....). The service continued to be tenuous, awkward, like we weren't welcome....we were scared to ask for anything...that bad. Once we get seated, I realize how frickin hot it is. Like as if there is no AC at all pumping. By the end of the meal I was, NO EXAGGERATION, drenched and had sweat rolling down my back and dripping off of me the entire time. It was hot and muggy out so this really didn't make for a good experience. Then there are the prices.....absolutely bonkers. We paid the same price for meals in NYC and got way bigger portions for homemade pasta. My husband's lasagna was ONE tiny piece about 3.5 inches by 2 inches. It arrived and I internally panicked, he looked up at me and shook his head. Was the food good? Sure. But after being humiliated upon entering, weird awkward service where we felt like we were intruding on a home, sweating the whole time, high prices, and then tiny portions....I'm sorry to say that we won't be returning.

Yelp
I went out with some friends and we decided we were craving Italian and we came across this spot. Sapido is a small little spot located in Fort Lauderdale. It's a very intimate spot so I recommend definitely making a reservation on OpenTable before going. The food was absolutely amazing everything was so delicious and fresh. This is definitely authentic Italian food. The service was amazing as well, our server was extremely helpful and super nice. Overall it was a great experience and I would definitely go back again!

Yelp
Hey folks, my prior review was for "Rumi" which existed at this same exact location. I've never tried Sapido. Just an FYI that some of the critical reviews may not be for Sapido but the former restaurant. In fact the pics for Sapido look excellent and I'd love to give it a shot some day!

Yelp
So sad! I used to love the food here , but today I was very disappointed with our two dishes, the salmon was overcooked, salad was not the same, the pollo Sapido super dry and not the same recipe, even the pesto sauce was mot the same. I don't know what happened :( We couldn't finished our dishes because they were really bad.

Yelp
I am not sure where to start. Ok ok ok lasagna!!! If you want that family owned, family cooked and most importantly italian taste in your food this is the place to go. Just outside downtown Fort Lauderdale (so not too crowded) it is a cozy, elegant and warm family feeling to it. You need to try everything. We drive often from Palm Beach Gardens because it is worthy! Cathy and Davide are just amazing human beings along with their two children always accommodating our needs. My daughter now refuses to eat at any other italian restaurant!
