"Despite his young age, Alessandro Ingiulla creates mature cuisine which showcases the best Sicilian ingredients, including olive oil, fruit and vegetables from his own garden, with skill and imagination. The restaurant occupies an old warehouse that has been fully restored to create an elegant, contemporary space which also hosts art exhibitions with works by artists from the region and further afield. In addition to the dining room, there’s a chef's table in the spacious kitchen and convivial tables in the wine cellar, where guests dine surrounded by bottles from all over Sicily. The excellent service comes courtesy of Roberta, the chef’s partner, and Andrea, the discreet and competent sommelier. You may need to be patient when looking for a parking space nearby, but it’s well worth it!" - Michelin Inspector

Spectacular food that is well worth its Michelin star and more. The cold pasta with tomato and shrimp was a particular standouts. The tasting menu was sumptuous with a wild variety of dishes, ways of preparations. The chef is not afraid of strong tastes, like the fermented cabbage - but without overdoing it. The pigeon was also perfectly prepared. There was too much too remember and enjoy to I can only highly recommend going there!

Pleasant service, quiet place. I enjoyed the dinner experience, but they serve so much food, be ready. I was 100% full on the 5th dish out of 7. They also have a terrace with a lovely olive tree and charming wine room.

We had the tasting menu at Sapio, and it was an absolutely incredible experience! The food was exquisite, with every dish showcasing exceptional quality and flavor – the blue lobster was a particular highlight. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous number of courses, each one a delightful discovery. Beyond the amazing food, the service was truly top-notch. The staff was incredibly attentive, professional, and made us feel so welcome. We couldn't have asked for a better dining experience. Highly recommended!

We stumbled upon this restaurant and went in to have a look, we was greeted by the lovely host and decided to book a table for our final evening in Catania! We are so glad that we did! The food was excellent and every course was delicious! We will be going again on our next trip out there! I highly recommend- Best meal ever!

A very refined take on sicilian kitchen with a strong focus on products and taste. We enjoyed a wonderful evening, with very good service (fluent in english) and great dishes. The food is excellent, the wine selection decent (and partly pricy - study the list in advance). I would definetely visit again.

We had an excellent evening at Sapio. We did the 7 course tasting menu. It is a fun experience that lasted approximately 3 hours. The staff were extremely accommodating with any dietary restrictions we had. The tasting menu we did is heavily focused on seafood.

Sapio doesn’t just serve seafood — it redefines what Sicilian cuisine can be when tradition meets ambition. Every plate is thoughtful without being pretentious, rooted in the sea but layered with technique and imagination. The pacing is flawless, the service tuned like a Stradivarius — warm, sharp, and never in the way. And the wine pairing? A journey through Etna’s volcanic veins: crisp whites, brooding reds, each glass chosen with intent. This is what dining looks like when everyone gives a damn.
