I walked the shops at Broadwalk, to get a little cardio and sun at the same time, and decided pizza was the lunch for the day. Well, okay. Hubby requested it, and who doesn't like pizza? I looked at all the pizza shops within a few mins. Read ratings on many.
Decided to take a chance on this place, despite all the negative reviews. Not sure what all the negative ratings are about. I read quite a few.
The young lady, who greeted me, was very pleasant. After reading all the reviews, and asking a few questions, I ordered pizza with several toppings, meatballs, and tiramisu ... two pieces of course to go. The young lady advised it would be about 15-20 mins or so.
The pizza was really delicious. They do not skimp on the cheese. The crust was perfectly cooked, not too thick, not too thin, and yummy. The meatballs were meatballs. Not bad at all. The tiramisu was scrumptious! I almost ate both pieces in a row, but trying to save it for later.
Oh, and they gave me plates, utensils, napkins, and packaged it nicely for my walk back. Didn't even think to ask, and many restaurants don't give these items if you don't ask.
Again, not sure what the details are with the negative reviews. Bad service? Short staff? Bad day? Bad attitude? Unrealistic expectations?
This is not a fast food place, so service us going to take longer. And, it's Italian, and Europeans don't rush. And, it's on the beach. The pandemic has affected the entire world, so take a deep breath, slow down, enjoy life, and go with the flow. When you rush, you miss little details that matter.
