The 21 Best Brunch Restaurants in Orange County California | Eater LA

"For brunch, owner Russ Bendel has reformatted this historic Laguna Beach restaurant to include a taste of both old and new. Meyer lemon creme fraiche waffles with berries and warm bourbon maple syrup are extremely popular, and the smoked salmon and blue crab omelet is served with fingerling potatoes and heirloom vegetable hash." - Jenn Tanaka

"Just steps from the beach, Sapphire offers outdoor dining year-round on its cozy patio. Run by executive chef Azmin Gahreman for more than a decade, the restaurant is certainly a Laguna institution, but one that’s constantly evolving to stay fresh. Though Sapphire is worth a visit for every meal, it really shines at brunch, when such indulgent dishes as buttermilk pancakes, fried chicken and cheddar biscuits, and eggs Benedict with roasted jalapeño hollandaise are on the menu. Pair your breakfast with bottomless mimosas in flavors like orange, mango, and grapefruit and you’ll have the makings of a perfect morning."

Went here to celebrate our engagement and they were awesome. The team treated us so well and even the owner visited our table to personally greet us and congratulate us. The food was fantastic, from the appetizer to the entree. They gave us complimentary champagne, appetizer and desert to enjoy our lovely night here. The view is so nice here as well! Def sit in the outdoor dining area. Thank you Sapphire team for treating us so well on our special day!

beautiful ocean view and great location. The menu was pretty standard overall. Halibut was just okay, burger was average, but the ceviche was fresh and flavorful.

We went to Saffire Restaurant for brunch on Saturday and tried the wagyu burgers, chicken schnitzel, and smoked salmon eggs Benedict. The wagyu burger came with fries that were a bit soggy at first, but the staff replaced them quickly with fresh ones, which was nice. The chicken schnitzel and smoked salmon were both delicious, and the food came out pretty quickly. Overall, the meal was enjoyable, though the service could have been a little more attentive.

Celebrated my friend's birthday here with a party of 12. We made a reservation in advance so getting set up and seated was seamless. It was a beautiful day in Laguna Beach which made for a perfect day for dining out on the patio. It was Sunday brunch but I opted to steer towards the "unch" side and got their BLT w/ fries. It was a massive portion and I managed to only tuck into half of it. It was very good w/ generous slices of bacon. Our server was super nice and accommodating to guests in our group that arrived later and made sure everyone had drinks, food order taken, etc. Our table also got complimentary elderberry tequila (I think?) shots which was so nice of them. Overall, I would definitely return to Sapphire for the great food and service.

Google
Everything was fantastic! Service was fast and friendly, which made the whole experience even better. The schnitzel was absolutely perfect — crispy, juicy, and full of flavor. My wife had the salmon Benedict and was genuinely impressed — generous portion and cooked just right. I went for an almond milk latte, which was another highlight. And make sure to save room for dessert — the crème brûlée was the perfect sweet ending!

Google
We arrived on a Saturday evening. The dishes from the soup of the day to the halibut were divine. We had reservations and were seated quickly. We sat indoors. Why people prefer to sit outdoors in view of the PCH is a mystery. However, the table service was mechanical and poor. The bathroom was near filthy. Waitering is a hospitality skill which combines customer service with entertainment. This we did NOT receive. The cleanliness of any restaurant is both a sign of quality and pride.

Google
This is a must go! There were 10 if us we got a great table outside with a view of the water. WAITRESS was phenomenal. Food is amazing. Everything we ordered was great. It's definitely one that we will return to. Thank you for a great Day!! The Brunch Bunch

Google
Very nice atmosphere. Food is very good and eclectic. Portion size is large, it will fill you up just right and not over full. Parking is tough. It's worth a vist.visit. we had 12 people and plenty of space

Yelp
Sorry to say I usually love Saphire but today the Caesar salad was sub par. The romaine lettuce was precut with old brown edges. The Parmesan was not freshly grated but appeared to be from a bag. The dressing was not tasty and too heavy. I hope this was just an off day. However, the ambience and service was lovely.

Yelp
Perfect Spot~ I absolutely love this place! Located right on PCH in Laguna Beach, the vibes here are just perfect--great atmosphere, ocean views, and a relaxing feel. Always in Laguna and this spot is a go-to. It's came to celebrate a birthday, and the service was great. Our waitress and the staff were super friendly and attentive, making the experience even better. For food, I got the ahi tuna salad, which was incredibly fresh, and my boyfriend had the ribeye steak, cooked perfectly. The focaccia bread was so fresh too. The drinks were also really good! I love restaurants like this --great location, excellent service, and delicious food.

Yelp
Having dinner with colleagues in Laguna Beach after a great meeting at the office. There was 15 of us and we had a great table on the patio. We started with drinks. I ordered the Chef's cocktail which was earl grey infused vodka with coconut milk shaken with a sprig of lavender in a martini glass. See photo. For appetizers we ordered du k stuffed meatballs, herb truffle fries, Brussel sprouts and bread. For dinner l, I ordered the 45 day aged ribeye- med. rare with mashed potatoes and Brussel sprouts. The steak was tasty with the sides but the portion of potatoes was not equivalent to the number of bites in the steak. For the size of the steak and the $, I would have expected more portion of the sides. The steak, even for a ribeye, seemed a bit fatty. I honest had enough to eat so the fatty portions saved me from my own appetite and made enough room for unexpected dessert. Our dinners took a while to come out so the restaurant provided us free dessert- crème brûlée and fancy ice cream and cookies. Good place in a great location. Cheers!

Yelp
Overall, food and service were amazing! I recommend getting a reservation if you're dining in the weekend. They have plenty of seating indoors as well as an outdoor patio with heat lamps during the cold nights. I got the slow braised Berkshire pork ragu and loved it! The meat was tender and it was a great pasta dish. I had espresso martini as my drink. Their servings are also decent so I had leftovers. Everyone else loved their food and I was able to try a piece of the rib eye steak and wow!! I will be getting that next time! Both the desserts we got were very tasty and loved the presentation. We parked in a metered parking spot across the restaurant so I suggest getting early enough to find parking in the area.

Yelp
I really enjoyed the outdoor experience for dinner here. There are fire heaters outside with plenty of seating. It does get a bit chilly even with the fire heaters but it's a nice romantic but casual place to enjoy dinner. My bf and I ordered two entrees and an appetizer to share. I can't remember the dish names but it was a pasta dish and a cutlet. The appetizer was Brussels sprouts with pork belly on top ($22). It's a bit pricey for the dinner but it's normal out here. Truly great flavors and delicious. Server was good. He was busy talking to others and because of that it took a while for us to get our check. It's okay though cause the quality time with my bf was nice. Overall good experience and a nice night out.

Yelp
Cute spot off the main road in Laguna. Good for a sit down dinner or lunch, my favorite dish was the brussel sprouts lol. A full meal will cost you about $30-40 a person here

Yelp
We went here for lunch for a friends birthday and was pleasantly surprised. The weather was nice out, there was a partial ocean view and the service was great. Between us 3, We ordered the Nutella waffles,, pork belly Benedict and BLT. Everything was a hit for each person. I had the pork belly Benedict that came with the potatoes which had broccoli and cauliflower with pearl onions. I have never had breakfast potatoes this way so was a bit skeptical. The veggies were delicious! I actually wanted the other veggies more than the potatoes! The pork belly was slightly tougher than anticipated but still had good flavor. I almost forgot!! The focaccia bread with whipped honey butter. Sooo good! With the food, local shops surrounding and the view, this place doesn't disappoint.

Yelp
This is a really good restaurant in Laguna Beach. Highly recommend getting a table outside the patio right before sunset. On a nice day you could see the beach with a nice breeze. Great Ambiance! We ate here recently with another couple and we all enjoyed ourselves. I loved that they pride themselves with local grown vegetables as well. We started off with the oysters and the waitress gave us options on what kind of fresh oysters they had for the day. It was fresh and oysters never fail as your first appetizers. I mean, only if you like oysters! A lot of great items for the main course.. I'm definitely coming back...Let's talk about what I ordered. The halibut is a must. I loved it so much and was delicious. They grilled it perfectly with a slight crisp. The vegetables they put together was on a perfect mix of yams, lettuce, and some other assortments of herbs. I normally don't order halibut but it caught my eye and I knew it was going to be a good choice. Let's just say I was pleasantly surprised. My fiancé ordered the grilled salmon. She said it was one of the best cooked salmon's she had in a while. The consistency was cooked perfectly she mentioned. Not dry at all very moist. I normally don't like cooked salmon but when I had a bite, I wanted another one lol. The waitress who helped us out was very nice and we enjoyed her service. She made sure our drinks were filled and kept checking in. Too bad I couldn't remember her name.. She served us on 09/22 around 7-8pm. She was awesome. We'll be back!

Yelp
This is a sister restaurant to Ironwood and Blooms - they are my absolute favorite so today I decided to give sapphire a try. Came with two of my best friends and had an early dinner to watch the sun set from the patio. The view was stunning! The staff looked after us so well and made sure everything was perfect. We tried the Brussels sprouts as an appetizer as well as the focaccia bread - so delicious. My friends had sandwiches and I enjoyed the gem salad - they were all so flavorful. We finished off b sharing a brownie with salted caramel ice cream. The whole meal was a hit and I went home and told my son that it should be his next place to take his girlfriend! I'm looking forward to experiencing the other restaurants in this group - so far, none have let me down. Highly recommend visit!

Yelp
Ambiance: Beautiful view of the beach from the outdoor seating area. Service: The servers are very friendly here and always made sure that our water glasses were full and provided recommendations on the menu. The manager also came to check on the table and see how the meal was as well. Very good experience. Food: I ordered an appetizer as my entree and it did not disappoint. This mac and cheese has an interesting twist of the conventional baked mac and cheese with breadcrumbs. This Mac and cheese is topped with crumbled crispy chicken skin and it is so delicious. The texture of the noodles was perfect and the cheese sauce was very evenly distributed. It was very cheesy but not soupy. The whiskey and peach cocktail was also very refreshing and was very pretty as well.

Yelp
I'm going to reupload this as my review was deleted. That in itself says a lot about this place. It was an honest and fair review. Tldr do not recommend this place...especially if you are a minority perhaps.

Yelp
The food & service were great. The Caesar salad is a little "odd," as the dressing is not white & creamy. It was more of a vinaigrette. The ribeye steak was HUGE. No one at our table could finish it. All 3 were flavorful & very tender. Cooked to perfection! Accompanied with Brussel sprouts, mushrooms & mashed potatoes, they were all very tasty. Finished off with a dessert of cookies & gelato, bread pudding and cappuccinos. The service was good. A few neighboring tables were loud and obnoxious, yelling out at people they knew as they walked in . Management never said anything to them about quieting down. : (

Yelp
Great spot for brunch/lunch! Ocean views, large patio, friendly service, fresh Californian fare. Plenty of paid street and garage parking nearby.

Yelp
We went there on a Monday for lunch. The service was great and everyone was attentive and nice. We got lucky and found a parking spot right in from of the restaurant which is unheard of in Laguna beach. The food options and the menu were not what I expected since it was salad and sandwiches. So we started with Mock-tails and tried all three but our favorite was over and out. Next we started with the quinoa salad which I have to say was the best I've ever had and once we were done with that we had no space for main dish which were sandwiches. We ordered cream brûlée and blackberry sorbet for desert and they were both great but the sorbet was my favorite. As for the ambiance it is a very nice and casual. The only reason I gave them a 4 is because of their limited food option.

Yelp
Just happened upon this restaurant -Sapphire- while walking through Laguna Beach. The outdoor patio was very busy and lured us in. Unfortunately, there was a bit of a wait for outdoor seating so we took a table inside for more immediate service. Beautiful and unique atmosphere! Pretty coastal vibes with white wooden ceiling and walls, a touch of greenery and vines, unique shell-like lamps...feels homey, like you're inside a friends beach house. Large bar area with windows to its backside, makes the bottles glitter and colorful while filling the room with lots of natural light....the only thing that threw me off was the large glass candle votives on the tables -- the candles inside were melted almost completely down on nearly every table, with wax splattered on its sides (see pictures). It just looks messy and non aesthetic. I love a good candle at night but they should be removed in the morning once they melt down or replaced with something else (perhaps with lavender, like their logo?) Just my opinion! Menu was well laid out apart from not having their coffee options available to look over--but our server was kind enough to suggest a few options. I decided to try the iced crème brûlée latte and it tasted good, not overly sweet which I was pleased with. My husband ordered the espresso martini. I tried it and it was so smooth! Definitely recommend. For food items, we tried the soup of the day: red potato bisque, (excellent), the rosemary focaccia bread (just ok..too much smoky flavor for me), Mac n cheese skillet (very tasty!! but wish we added the truffles) and the seasonal sorbet with berries -- I believe it was cabernet flavored (beautiful presentation, came with two large scoops). Overall -- A really refreshing stop on our trip. Wonderful service too! Everyone was very friendly! Will have to return and enjoy the patio outside next time we're in town.

Yelp
Great restaurant with an ocean view in Laguna! We came for sunset on a Sunday in November and it was wonderful. Waitstaff was attentive and had great recommendations. The oysters were incredibly fresh and the drinks were delicious! I recommend.
google avatar

Yelp
The service we received was great, but the food just kinda fell flat. I think for the price it just wasn't worth it or maybe we ordered the wrong items.

Yelp
Had a wonderful dinner with my and my brothers family. I reserved for 9 of us and we were seated right away. Beautiful restaurant with amazing food and service. We chose outdoor seating and it was perfect. Gorgeous weather and great ambiance. Our waiter was friendly, patient and attentive. We did have 4 kids dining with us. We shared two orders of Mac and cheese and it was delicious. We all loved it. My brother's halibut was amazing served with grilled lettuce and veggies. Most of us got the wagu burger and we all loved it. The crispy sandwich was ok and the fries too salty and mushy, none of us finished it. Overall a great place to have dinner specially if you have a large party. We had an amazing time here at the Sapphire.

Yelp
It's a cute spot in Laguna - I loved sitting outside! I was surprised that the duck meatballs was on the starters part of the menu because it was a full on pasta entree! The meatballs were juicy and flavorful. I loved all the different mushrooms in it and the sauce was savory deliciousness. We also got the cauliflower, brussel sprouts & pork belly. This was realllyyy good especially the cauliflower. I didn't love the pork belly, the flavor was lacking and the texture was sort of dry and chewy. Their drinks are really tasty here! And our server was constantly checking on us to make sure we had everything we needed.
google avatar

Ingrid L.

Yelp
While the beach view is somewhat obstructed due to the restaurant's location across the street, the dishes were all delicious. However, the service during this visit could have been more attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
I have not walked this property since it was The Pottery Shack. Very cool that they kept the old buildings. Atmosphere was great. Perfect if you want to go someplace upscale, but casual enough to feel comfortable. We were celebrating a birthday, and the staff really went out of there to make her feel special. So many great items on the menu to choose from. Service was great. The manager greeted us at our table, very nice touch. Overall we felt more like valued guests, rather than just diners. We will definitely be back.

Yelp
Sapphire has got a great location in Laguna Beach. They are located on PCH, directly across from the beach and have dedicated parking in the garage located conveniently behind the restaurant (validation required). We've eaten here many times and the food is always excellent and the staff is friendly. Tonight it seemed like they were a little short staffed so our server was trying his best to accommodate all his guests. But I give an A+ to Pedro and the Manager who seem to be working with a very difficult customer/table. Even with that noise in the background Pedro was still all smiles and doing his best to provide excellent service. Thank you Pedro for also making a great wine recommendation to accompany my dinner. If you haven't tried this spot, I highly recommend! They've got a really cute outdoor patio that faces the PCH with really nice heaters so that you can dine outside all year round.

Yelp
Sapphire was an incredible place! They were very accommodating and sweet to our big family with toddlers. We had an amazing view of the sunset from the patio! Drinks were great- I got the gin rummy and it was very balanced between bitter and sweet- bright and refreshing. The greeter makes for a good instagram photo but is hard to drink with all the shaved ice. Food was amazing! I got the special- basil pasta and scallops. The scallops were cooked perfect. The pasta got a little stuck together, but the flavors were so good- lemony and herbaceous! My dad loved his steak and my husband ate every last bit of his ragu pasta

Yelp
This experience took an unexpected turn. We visited hoping for a great meal, but unfortunately, it didn't meet our expectations. I ordered the healthy scramble, and the eggs were dry to the point of being almost inedible. I like my eggs over but this went well past my expectations. My husband had the wagyu burger with fries, which didn't live up to what he had hoped for either. The fries were soaked in oil, making them hard to enjoy. On a positive note, a kind stranger offered us a new spot at the table since the sun was directly on us, which was thoughtful. However, service was slow, and our waitress didn't seem well-versed in the menu or drinks. It also took quite a while to get our check. My husband mentioned that experiences like this make you appreciate other places, like The Ranch in Laguna Beach, that consistently deliver a better overall experience. He even said Yard House would be a better experience for less. The only highlight of the visit was the drinks, but even they weren't enough to make up for the overall experience. Unfortunately, the location just doesn't justify the visit, and we left feeling underwhelmed.

Yelp
*First time review* I was in Laguna Beach visiting my brother and wanted a quick bite to eat after I landed. I stopped off at Sapphire as it was close to my hotel and wow! Love the view, the staff, the menu options... truly fantastic place! I got the BLT and loved the crispy bacon and whole wheat bread. It had a hint of sweetness to it but it went well with the smoky bacon. My dad got the chicken sandwich and split it with my step mom, it was fully loaded with fries and more than plenty to share! The chicken was crispy and very flavorful. I'll most definitely come back when I'm in So Cal

Yelp
The ambience of this restaurant can't be beat. Nestled into Laguna, a warm brick patio provides outdoor seating with a view of the ocean. The pottery place is a historical site for a long time Laguna Residents. As a child in the 70s living in Laguna, I used to walk this patio with my mom looking for pottery for her many plants at our home. Still living in Laguna I often frequent sapphire just to soak in the sunshine some delicious food and excellent service .
google avatar

Yelp
The service was excellent food had so much flavor and the ambience it's so nice especially seating in the patio.

Yelp
Check out this place in South Laguna. I eat there all the time because the food is exceptional. We ate outside on the patio and had an early lunch. Service was great as always. We even had an ocean view. Look at the pictures. I'm sitting with my in-laws.
google avatar

John L.

Yelp
Hard 2. Eggs Benedict should be easy to execute, this whole pork belly Benedict is poorly composed. Overcooked lean sections of pork, doesn't go well with egg yolk or hollandaise. Watery poached eggs (although poached correctly). Random veggies with it. Can get a better eggs Benedict at Dennys. Sapphire salad. Basic, but you can't charge $10 for a chicken addition and then overcook the living daylights out of a chicken breast. Fries are decent. Won't return. Not sure how this place is getting 4.6 stars.

Jenny A.

Yelp
Had dinner while visiting my daughter. Great food and awesome outdoor patio. Will definitely go again!
google avatar

Claire G.

Yelp
We had a delicious family brunch here on a sunny afternoon and really enjoyed sitting outside on the beautiful patio. Service was friendly, and we all enjoyed our entrées. Started with a couple of cocktails ( The Greeter) , and some glasses of wine. We tried the wonderful salmon salad, the tasty fillet salad, a yummy salmon omelette, and the schnitzel eggs. All of us left happy and satisfied and would def come back next time we are in Laguna Beach!

Yelp
Made a reservation and we were seated and greeted immediately. Amazing food - I mean seriously I'd recommend the fish tacos to everyone! Great prices and large portions! The ambiance is wonderful with an ocean view and right in the center of downtown with near by parking lot.

Yelp
Came here in May for my Birthday weekend, which also happens to be Mother's Day weekend. We made reservations and when we arrived were told it would be a long wait due to people not leaving their tables as often. This was disappointing because we had plans after but we made it work. I wish they could have texted folks and told them this - they called me the day before confirming my reservation so I am assuming they have peoples phone numbers. There isn't a place to sit and wait really as it's right on PCH and it's just a busy part of the main strip there. Once seated (we took first available, inside) the place was so full, it has some fun decor and it has a nice breeze from the ocean right outside. We had hoped that since our reservation was pushed back that we would get the dinner menu (it was after the listed brunch hours) and we'd spent our wait time looking at that menu to make choices. We were told too many people still wanted to eat brunch so we couldn't. It was fine, understandable, but a little disappointing. We ate brunch, the food was tasty and there were some fun options. It seemed like our server was overwhelmed and wasn't super engaging. Also took very long time to bring things back or check on us. All of this is understandable on a holiday weekend, but hoping the feedback encourages them to plan differently for future days.

Yelp
Delicious food, perfect lattes, and wonderful customer service (thanks, Danielle!) from start to finish. Although we couldn't get patio seating since we didn't reserve ahead of time, we still very much enjoyed indoor seating - beautiful decor, spacious seatings, and cozy atmosphere. We will definitely be back to try seating on the patio with the gorgeous beach view and for dinner!
google avatar

Marie D.

Yelp
The food here was pretty good. The BLT had very generous portions of bacon! And the Wagyu burger is really tasty. It has a nice (but distant) view of the ocean. The staff is friendly, and we were served attentively by Elena. Afterwards, you can walk off your meal by perusing the many little shops next door. Overall, a great place for Sunday Brunch.
google avatar

Gaspar R.

Yelp
Ciana is a great server and helped us with our food selection. The waygu burger was amazing. The atmosphere is very inviting

Yelp
I had such a great experience at Sapphire. We stopped in and were promptly greeted and seated. From start to finish, our waiter Jason was friendly, attentive and provided great service all around. I had the seasonal mocktail which was phenomenal. Best mocktail I've had. Then we had the meat and fish special, I had the beef stroganoff which had the most tender short rib and hand made noodles. Not a dish I would typically get and it was so delicious. My friend had the black cod and she really enjoyed it as well. The focaccia bread was wonderful and I was allowed to order a half portion. Great ambiance with indoor and outdoor heated seating. Highly recommend if you're in the area!
google avatar

Julie D.

Yelp
The only thing I remember about this meal was that despite us only getting an item each and sharing one app we had a ton of food leftover that we didn't take to go. My best friend lived in the area for a couple of months and had always wanted to try this spot so we dropped in during the weekend. The highlight for me was the sourdough bread.
google avatar

Raquel S.

Yelp
Ambiance was great. Specialty drink Snap Dragon was very tasty. Our food was well prepared but, honest review, the salmon plate was over salted. I will return and try their brunch, wonderful location.
google avatar

Blanca C.

Yelp
The food is delicious, beautiful surroundings and the staff was welcoming and attentive. It's so good I'm a regular even though I don't live in Laguna!

Yelp
BF Made a reservation for outside seating, with a view. We had a great table. The wine & cocktails selection was great, we enjoyed a few drinks before our entrees. I ordered the poached salmon and I had one bite before I realized it was not cooked at all. I think the person that poached it rushed it, because only a thin outer was a little cooked :-( The waiter and manager were nice and asked me if I wanted something else. I ordered the pork chop- was also pink in the middle but only in the thicker part of the cut. I ate what I could and when we go the check: the salon was charged, as well as the pork chop. They took the salmon out - I think the need to calibrate their times for cooking and retrain their staff.

Yelp
Set up a reservation for my moms birthday. Reservation process is on open table and was very easy to set up and check in. There's validated parking in a structure behind the restaurant, which was convenient for a Saturday dinner during Father's Day weekend. We tried the wagyu burger, pork ragu, Mac n cheese, and the seafood special which was a prawn scampi. Everything was very delicious and our servers were extremely on top of the service. Outside seating is really comfortable with outside heaters when it cools down and a nice peek of the ocean. It's located against PCH so there's a lot of cars driving by but we still enjoyed the ambiance :) would recommend for special occasions!

Yelp
First time here. This restaurant is nestled in a cute area of Laguna Beach. Very welcoming and dog friendly too! Mike was our server. He was gracious and kind. We appreciate that. For starters, we ordered the Warm Artisan Rosemary Focaccia Bread with whipped honey butter. It was good just a little heavy and filling so we chose salads. Lol For our entrees we ordered the Grilled Faroe Island Salmon & Organic Sweet Gem Lettuce Salad with toasted hazelnuts, goat cheese, pickled onion, cherry tomatoes, meyer lemon & dijon mustard vinaigrette. We also ordered the 5oz Revier Ranch Filet Mignon Salad with organic lettuces, bloomsdale spinach, bacon, piquillo peppers, california almonds, marinated artichokes, smokey blue cheese, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, sweet corn, aged sherry dressing For dessert we had Dark Chocolate Chunk & Fromage Blanc Cookies - peanut butter gelato, Spanish peanut crumble The food was delicious, fresh and filling. I would definitely come back and try other menu items! Thank you!!!

Yelp
The spirit and soul of Laguna can be felt at Sapphire. One of the very few restaurants with a view of the ocean while you dine outside or inside also has a trendy upbeat atmosphere and great food. Laguna means beautiful views and the spirit of artist and coastal living This is what Saphire has to offer. You don't want to miss this outside dining experience where you can see and be seen in a casual atmosphere and still have excellent food. A well trained staff that really cares about you as well as a happening bar round out this really special casual Laguna experience

Yelp
A wonderful restaurant with fantastic service. The atmosphere and decor are beautiful. Three of us came here for dinner. It was a last minute selection and we were lucky to be able to get a reservation on short notice. We sat outside since it was a beautiful evening. I also thought that it was a little bit loud inside. For appetizers we had the duck meatballs, the burrata cheese & tapenade in a jar with fresh focaccia and a Caesar salad. All of these were excellent. For entree's we chose the 45 day dry aged bone in Ribeye, the Faroe Island salmon on cous cous and the short rib Bolognese over pappardelle. Everything was fantastic. The wine selections are nice with a decent array of varietals. They also allow you to bring your own wine with a corkage fee. A wonderful restaurant that I will happily return to.

Yelp
We were able to be immediately seated with a great view of the ocean and had great service getting our food. I got the smoked salmon omelette with a roasted potato and veggie hash and watercress salad. The salad was nothing crazy but I really liked the flavor of the veggies and the omelette was cooked really well. There was some type of creamy cheese topping that worked really well to cut the smoked salmon almond flavor. I added some cholula hot sauce to make myself a really good meal!

Yelp
Super cute restaurant! I totally totally recommend going her on a date. We had just been to the sister restaurant and the food was consistent. The menu isn't some game changer and the food is above average but won't blow your mind. If you're looking for a great date night or just a meal with friends this is the spot.

Yelp
Cozy little restaurant. It was pretty good! I got the salmon and my husband ordered the halibut. Both were delicious. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint was- when we made the reservation we were under the impression this was a Oceanside from The pictures and the map. But we loved the food and Would eat here again.

Yelp
Sapphire salad was disappointing (we added tasteless, unseasoned chicken), fries were a bit burnt, waitress had too many tables to be observant of us. I don't recommend it. Ambiance is nice.
