Sarabeth’s - Review - Greenwich Village - New York - The Infatuation

"Sarabeth’s, a brunch staple from the Upper East Side, now has their fourth location in NYC, and first new spot in 13 years. In Greenwich Village, this latest outpost also serves pancakes and lump crab avocado toast. We haven’t been here yet, but want you to know this spot exists." - Team Infatuation

First time going to sarabeths but definitely will not be my last time. This is a spot that you can go to multiple times and never get sick of. Menu options are amazing. Food was phenomenal and had me craving it again hours after eating it. We ordered the chicken sandwich which was delicious. The guacamole and crab was also good but for some reason we didn’t get any crab on it or taste the crab at all. The lavender lemonade was perfect for a warm day. It wasn’t too sweet, it was right in the middle. Pancakes were nice and fluffy. All in all, cannot wait to be there again. The place can get crowded really bad at moments so make sure you get a reservation before going in. However, even with a reservation you do wait for a bit.

Sarabeth’s is a breakfast/brunch classic. Nothing unique but that’s sometimes is what you want! This is my first visit to this location but I’ve been to the other locations before. Service and vibes were excellent as always.

Classic for weekend brunch. We had the garden omelette and the salmon Benedict. Both were delicious and came with a salad on the side. The vibes are very typical of a brunch spot. A solid choice!

My first time coming to a Sarabeth's. We came here just after happy hour around 7 p.m. and had a great experience all around—plenty of space to sit at the bar or at a table. The service, drinks, and food were excellent. We had the Italian Vacation Flight, which included prosecco, red wine, white wine, and a Tiramisu Martini—all were delicious. The bartender was super friendly and made the visit even better. We also had the meatballs and gruyère popovers. Definitely a spot I’d come back to.

Visited the new Greenwhich Village Sarabeths and found the interior to be lovely and charming. This place isn't fine dining, but isn't exactly casual. Kind of down the middle, in an upscale relaxing way. The service was excellent. Our waitress was helpful, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. My husband's old fashioned was absolute perfection. He is very picky about his drinks and it was spot on. He and I had the prifixe menu which is a three course meal for 45 to 48 dollars, depending on your selection. To start, I amazing tomato soup with big chunks of tomato and cubed cheddar in a creamy tomato base. My entree was salmon with wilted spinach over caponata. Nice crispy crust on the salmon. Flavors blended well. My husband had a savory lamb shank with meat so tender that it fell off the bone. My daughter had what she described as the best burger she's ever had. She was raving about it, even after we left NY. My son had steak frites. He has several life threatening food allergies and the staff was helpful and informed about the menu. Overall an excellent experience. Can't wait to return! One last thing is that they have a private room downstairs which would be absolutely perfect for a bridal shower or birthday party.

This was my first time being in this location. I had avocado toast, ( I order every time, my favorite ) pancake with strawberry, and a buttermilk sandwich, everything was so good. As my friend doesn't drink, I ordered a Virgin mimosa for her, I had spice Paloma with extra salt. Overall, Sarabeth’s quality is always good good good!!

If I could leave no stars I would, the food wasn’t great at all, I ordered a Caesar salad and my friend had pancakes the coffee was nice everything else was not worth the price at all. Besides the under whelming food the staff were very rude and the vibes were not welcoming at all. It felt a little racially motivated perhaps due to my religious veil the waiter brought the check out and my friend and I had not even asked for it the food was taken back to the kitchen quickly as it was put down the staff came up and asked if it needed to be taken away we agreed because it seemed very rude and we wanted to leave anyhow our plates were still full. Shortly the check was brought out as if telling us to leave without wanting to say so. The owner was present and she had a very disgraced look on her face the waiters laughed as we left and high fived. This place is awful. But perhaps it’s the experience they wanted us to have so we wouldn’t come back, clearly not very business oriented. What can I say try it if you like but it’s not worth the hype.

Absolutely Perfect Experience! Wow—Sarabeth’s in Greenwich Village is an absolute gem! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm, genuine smile from the manager, who not only made us feel instantly welcome but also let us choose our own table—a small touch that made a big difference. The atmosphere is simply stunning—elegant yet cozy, beautifully lit, impeccably clean, and just radiating a sense of warmth and charm. Now, let’s talk about the food—pure perfection! I started with the crispy burrata salad, a heavenly mix of plum-fennel relish, orange blossom honey, and fresh herbs—the perfect blend of creamy, crunchy, sweet, and savory. It was outstanding! Then came the pan-roasted branzino ( love the crispy skin)—cooked flawlessly, served with fava bean spaetzle, cherry tomatoes, and black olives adding depth and richness to every bite. And just when I thought it couldn’t get better—dessert arrived. A chocolate lover's dream- chocolate cake with dark and milk chocolate layers and a sweet raspberry coulis—it was pure indulgence, and I savored every forkful! Each bite was rich and velvety. This dessert is absolutely must-try! To top it all off, my cocktail, “Fun in the Sun,” was just as its name suggests—vibrant, refreshing, a little spicy and simply delicious. Every single detail—from the impeccable service ( our server was Alex- friendly, attentive, professional and extremely polite ) to the incredible flavors—made this an unforgettable dining experience. If you’re looking for a place that truly delivers on ambiance, service, and mouthwatering food, Sarabeth’s is IT! Can’t wait to come back!

Yelp
My husband I didn't have a reservation for brunch on a Sunday, but the restaurant was very accommodating and had availability for us to dine. The restaurant was big and bright. There is a table limit of one hour and 30 minutes. We wanted to try a bunch of different options, so we started with the Short Rib Tater Tots and Crab & Guacamole. They were both flavorful and delicious. The crab and guacamole felt light and refreshing with their homemade potato chips. My husband ordered the smoked salmon benedict and I ordered the fat and fluffy french toast. He enjoyed his meal and mine was the perfect breakfast to curb your sweet tooth. Will definitely try to come back!

Yelp
The experience from entering the restaurant to when you leave is pleasant. Every staff member is pleasant and doing their job. What I found odd is that by 7 pm on a Friday, there were a few diners. This is a nice looking restaurant and tables are spaced apart. Located btwn East and West. I've been to brunch at its UWS location and the restaurant was packed. Guess that explains why brunch items are always photographed. Seems I now prefer it's brunch menu versus dinner menu. Cocktails are consistently delicious at the Greenwich Village and UWS locations. The restrooms are situated downstairs, found by the host/hostess stand.

Yelp
This used to be the Jane restaurant - the atmosphere & design of the space is really nice, airy, & bright. Pros- the service was above average. So many people came & checked on us Cons- the only gluten free they have is the salad. I could also get fries but those were very soggy.

Yelp
Came here for breakfast with some friends. The space is very nice and modern, with plenty of tables to choose from and lots of natural light. Every dish we ordered was decent but the portions were so big! Definitely enough to share or to bring some home. The food came out very quickly as well, and we were offered to-go boxes for whatever we couldn't finish.

Yelp
the food is tasty though I wish there were more vegetarian options. The service is friendly and welcoming. They remember regulars. The atmosphere is sophisticated AND cozy.

Yelp
Excellent food. Excellent service. Great place! Very nice people working here. I had the oysters and the diver scallops. Both were great. I also had the crostini and an espresso martini to cap off a great meal.

Yelp
We were here for Thanksgiving and were sorely disappointed both with the food and service. The lunch took 2 1/2 hours with long times between courses in a restaurant that wasn't even full. The reservation form asked if anyone in the party had food sensitivities, to which I indicated one of us had a seafood allergy. The waiter at first said they couldn't accommodate her, although they eventually did. Why ask if you aren't going to make accommodations? The bartender took forever to recognize that we were sitting in front of him at the bar. The soup and salad started out really yummy, but the entrees (steak and salmon both) were very mediocre. The Thanksgiving turkey entree was very bland and unappetizing. I'd been to another Sarabeth's and had a great experience. This experience, however, has turned me off forever and I'll never go back. I had high hopes and this ended up being the worse meal of our whole trip to NYC.

Yelp
Great brunch made even better by fantastic service from Miklo, who went above and beyond and gave us a memorable experience
