Visited the new Greenwhich Village Sarabeths and found the interior to be lovely and charming. This place isn't fine dining, but isn't exactly casual. Kind of down the middle, in an upscale relaxing way. The service was excellent. Our waitress was helpful, attentive, and had a great sense of humor. My husband's old fashioned was absolute perfection. He is very picky about his drinks and it was spot on. He and I had the prifixe menu which is a three course meal for 45 to 48 dollars, depending on your selection. To start, I amazing tomato soup with big chunks of tomato and cubed cheddar in a creamy tomato base. My entree was salmon with wilted spinach over caponata. Nice crispy crust on the salmon. Flavors blended well. My husband had a savory lamb shank with meat so tender that it fell off the bone. My daughter had what she described as the best burger she's ever had. She was raving about it, even after we left NY. My son had steak frites. He has several life threatening food allergies and the staff was helpful and informed about the menu. Overall an excellent experience. Can't wait to return!
One last thing is that they have a private room downstairs which would be absolutely perfect for a bridal shower or birthday party.
