Sarah’s Handmade ice cream is so good that we’ve come twice in one week. I really love the Lavender Honey, Raspberry Chocolate Chip, and the Coconut Almond Brownie flavors. I also tried the Bailey’s Chocolate Chip and liked it as well. Also the staff are very friendly and welcoming. I’m glad we found this place. It’s a new favorite.

Google
This place is solid! Sarah’s Handmade Ice Cream is creamy as hell and tastes super natural—no fake stuff here. I went with the pure chocolate and pistachio, and they both hit the spot—rich, smooth, and full of flavor. The staff was chill and friendly, made the whole vibe even better. Definitely coming back for more. Highly recommend!

Google
Hands down the best ice cream shop around. Sarah’s has become a weekly must for me. I’ve tried lavender honey, strawberry, and sandy shore Chesapeake (a seasonal flavor I hope they keep year round!). My family visits from out of town and demands Sarah’s now too. If you’re not a sweet person, you will be after you try this ice cream. Do yourself a favor and go to Sarah’s.

Google
Sarah’s is my ALL-TIME favorite ice cream spot! I’ve tried many flavors and have loved almost all. The coffee Oreo and the raspberry are my favorites, and the brownie is the perfect chewy texture for warming and enjoying with ice cream.

Google
They have a real variety of flavors and they make the BEST malted milkshakes. Thanks

Google
Really nice ice cream parlor with 30+ flavors, all locally sourced. Store was very clean and well kept. Ice cream itself was amazingly good. They had a lot of unique flavors like cherry blossom festival and Bailey's Irish chip. All were great with rich and smooth ice cream taste, so you cannot go wrong choosing a flavor.

Tonight, I had the pleasure of stopping by Sarah’s Homemade Ice Cream, and let me tell you, it was GREAT! My sister lives just five minutes away from this shopping center, so we’re always in the area, but I had never tried Sarah’s until now, and I'm so glad I did. I was recommended the Luck O the Irish flavor, which is essentially mint chocolate chip with Lucky Charms. Let me just say, whoever came up with this flavor combination deserves a raise—it was absolutely amazing! The minty freshness combined with the Lucky Charms marshmallows was AMAZING. In addition to the Luck O the Irish, I also tried the Orange Creamsicle, and it was nothing short of perfection. The texture was incredibly smooth, and the flavor was bursting with orange goodness. It was by far the smoothest ice cream I've ever had! One thing that really surprised me was the variety of flavors available at Sarah’s. From classic favorites to inventive creations, there's something for everyone. I'm already looking forward to my next visit, where I plan to get a brownie or a cookie ice cream sandwich. With such delicious options, I'll definitely be coming back for more!

Google
Our family spends a ridiculous amount of time comparing, evaluating and ranking every experience under the sun. We all agree: Sarah's is the best ice cream in the area, bar none (and ours is an area with a lot of great ice cream). The flavors are just on another level from any other ice cream nearby. The coffee (decaf, btw) ice cream has exceptional intensity of flavor; the aroma is like sticking your nose into a canister of the best, freshest beans. I'm a peanut butter lover and will often seek out ice creams with a ribbon of peanut butter, but I have usually found that peanut butter-flavored ice cream is weak, lacking the robust flavor of actual peanut butter. Not Sarah's; the base of their peanut butter fudge packs all the punch of the peanut butter you might find elsewhere in a chocolate-peanut butter combination. The Mmmm & M ice cream was another revelation. Again, I was expecting a fairly faint vanilla-ish base with some M&Ms mixed in. Instead the base had all the concentration of flavor one finds in an actual M&M (except much, much bigger). Several of the fruity flavors (not usually my thing) are also amazing. I don't even like key lime pie, but their key lime pie ice cream is fantastic. It's just the most robust, pleasantly concentrated flavors you'll ever find in ice cream. Normally I rely on the fillings to give me the intensity I'm looking for, but Sarah's is a rare place where the ice cream itself supplies it.

Yelp
My sister introduced me to this place when I visited last year so of course had to come again on this visit. Soo many flavors to choose from and they so many unique flavors as well. You can sample the flavors which is nice before you purchase. Love their story as well. Definitely a must try on all visits!!

Josephine K.

Yelp
I loved the flight of ice cream option. It comes with your choice of six flavors and I chose: Ube Coconut, Bethesda Brownie, Black Raspberry, Cinnamon Apple, Cotton Candy and Really Strawberry. All the flavors were delicious, although cotton candy was my least favorite, but that was due to my preference. There are spots to sit and enjoy your ice cream. If you're looking for some handmade ice cream, check this place out as they so have rotating flavors. Also they have pup cups available for purchase. My shih tzu loved it and I believe it's a peanut butter flavor.

Christina H.

Yelp
My first time at Sarah's at Fallsgrove was amazing. There is such a cool new (non-corporate) vibe. I want my next job to be a taster for this shop! The ice cream is delicious The combination of flavors is spectacular. Our selections this time were Cherry Blossom Festival, Coffee Brownie, Oreo Fudge and White Chocolate Raspberry. Shout out to Sierra was absolutely lovely. I can't wait to try the other flavors.

Sera K.

Yelp
The staff was so friendly when I came for my first visit to this location. They allowed me to try many different flavors before I decided on the lavender honey flavor in a cup. The ice cream was the perfect balance of the two flavors and I would highly recommend it as it wasn't too floral at all. The place does not have tons of seating, but it is nicely decorated and I love that they have pictures of all the flavors on the wall. Give it a try when you are in the Shady Grove area!

Maria C.

Yelp
This place is incredible!!! So happy to have found it. The variety and selection of flavors was spectacular, which also presents a problem-- how to narrow it down and make your selection?? Well, the staff was truly the nicest I've ever encountered in an ice cream shop. They told me "Don't worry. Take your time. Try as many as you want!" And kept recommending additional flavors. Truly unprecedented. And the taste did not disappoint! Prices on par with other ice cream shops in the area. Highly highly recommend. I'll be back!

Yelp
On a nice spring day after school, we took the kiddos here for a post/school snack; of course, ice cream isn't only reserved for post/school but today, it's that. Sarah's reminds me of a cross between Baskin-Robbin's and a boutique ice cream shop like Salt & Straw in Portland, OR because they've got some classic flavors and some unique flavors. We happened to beat the afternoon rush, so being first in, we got to slowly peruse the offerings and sample some of their ice creams before rushing to make a decision. We got: rainbow sorbet, mango sorbet (my little one tried it and liked the sample but I guess the sorbet had a cantaloupe-flavored finishing note that she did not enjoy), m&m, hazelnut churro, peppermint stick, and Oreo lover. My kids (and the adults) devoured their ice creams. They do also sell pints of ice cream, cakes and pies, and apparel. *staff were super obliging and friendly *place was clean *limit of 2 samples per customer

Yelp
Best and most interesting icecream in the area! So many options that it's hard to decide. And I stuck with what I love here/-banana pudding, coconut almond chocolate. Ordered a custom pint with 2 sugar cones on the side to-go. The price of side cones has doubled to 50 cents and pack a pint is up $2. Inflation? Didn't stop me from ordering and enjoying. I love the kids book basket at the front of the store. Was in a rush and didn't take a picture.

Yelp
3.20.24 What I love about this new ice cream store is the extensive selection, both quantity and uniqueness, of flavors. You can get the ice cream in a cup or cone and add toppings. Aside from ice cream they also sell: floats, milkshakes, sundaes, cookies, brownies, ice cream pie and cakes, banana split sundaes, cookie/brownie sandwiches, to go pints, beverages, and other packaged snacks. I loved that they sell a flight so that you can sample multiple flavors. What a genius idea. I don't think I've ever seen this offered at any other ice cream shop I've been to. My friends and I split a flight. Our six flavors included: Matcha Cheesecake, Red Velvet Cake, Strawberry, Thai Iced Tea, Salted Caramel, and Ube Coconut Chips. My top two flavors were the Red Velvet Cake and Salted Caramel. My third favorite was the Ube if it didn't have the Coconut Chips as it was hard. The ice creams were creamy and on the softer side, which I like. My friends liked that they weren't too sweet. I love the variety of flavors and menu items. I definitely plan to be back and can see it being packed during the summer.

Yelp
I am so thrilled that Sarah's opened up next to my work! This is now the go to spot when my coworkers want to get a sweet treat during the work day. Sarah's has an extensive list of ice creams. What is most exciting is they also have 2 vegan ice cream flavors as well as sorbets. I have enjoyed their vegan almond and vegan chocolate ice creams frequently since their opening. Both ice creams are rich with flavor and would fool any dairy lover. They are creamy and have the same texture as dairy ice cream. I enjoy getting their sugar cone which is also vegan. The inside is a little tight for seating space and luckily there is plenty of outdoor seating to enjoy your ice cream. They do have free kids books to read with the little ones inside and they put in an effort to be very family friendly. The staff has always been kind and never have a problem giving ice cream samples. I love the scoop portion size and feel like the ice cream is well worth the price. I hope Sarah's never leaves Fallsgrove. They are such a welcome addition to the shopping center.

Yelp
Was very excited to see this place finally opening in the Fallsgrove Plaza, but it was bittersweet now that I was no longer living in the area. Recently I was in the area visiting people and had to try it out after waiting for so long. There are truly too many flavors to try and the girl working was super friendly and offered for us to try the flavors. There is a sign that limits the number of flavors allowed to be tried, which makes sense because otherwise you'll hold up the line. I usually go for sorbets and sherbets but I decided to try something different this time around. I chose the small cup but opted for two flavors which was my boyfriend's idea first. I was conflicted as I wanted the perfect pairing of flavors so they compliment each other. I opted for the chevy chase chippy chip and the dark roasted coffee bean as the vanilla base and coffee taste would balance. My boyfriend opted for the peanut butter fudge and coffee oreo which was more chocolate oriented. The ice creams had an elastic quality to them which made them melt slower and able to enjoy longer. The shop itself is not very large but the seating by the window are enough. There is also a book cart filled with children's books which is different than other ice cream shops. I also loved how the ice cream flavors were labeled after cities within Maryland and how they each also had a photo to compliment. Additionally, the artwork was very cute too as it seemed like they were all created by children. The flavors were elevated enough to be different but classic enough to still be enjoyed by all ages.

Yelp
A new Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream & Treats location in the DMV?!? Yes please!!!!!!!! So glad Fallsgrove now has an ice cream spot again, especially one that is so wonderful! Popped in last Saturday and even though it was rainy, there were other people like me looking for delicious ice cream! I'd been to their Bethesda location before but I always get instant decision paralysis because everything looks so good! Luckily, Annie (the daughter of the mother-daughter duo) was there. She walked me through the flavors and let me sample as many as I wanted, yay! They had a bunch of delicious new flavors that I loved. Ended up getting the Ube Coconut Chip (it has 2 different kinds of meaty coconut chips in it, yum!) and Lemon Poppyseed Shortbread, and a pint of the Rose Pistachio (with real rose flavor and actual pistachios. I'm OBSESSED!). All so so so yummy! I'm still working on the Rose Pistachio and it's been the perfect afternoon pick-me-up (I realistically could've eaten the pint in one sitting but trying to exercise some semblance of self control). Love Sarah's and can't wait to come back (super soon since I'm almost done with the pint!)!

Yelp
After learning about this place from a fellow Yelper I knew I needed to come here ASAP! An ice cream business founded by a mother and her daughter that has dozens of ice cream flavors?? Sign me upppp My fiancé and I walked into the cute shop, which had a wall completely covered in printouts of the current flavors. I was very lucky to run into Annie, one of the owners! She was very sweet and clearly excited about the new location. The woman who helped me was very nice and patient and told me what their most popular flavors were. I tried a sample of the red velvet cake, which was delicious! The cheesecake flavor wasn't overpowering and the cake wasn't dry, which is an accomplishment in itself. I feel like cake is always dry in ice cream. I got an ice cream flight and made my fiancé get one too. We both LOVED the flavors we chose and had a hard time deciding our favorites. Mine ended up being orange chocolate chip and his was coconut almond brownie. Things flavored with lavender are always way too overpowering for me, but the lavender honey ice cream was toned down and actually quite yummy. The banana pudding was not too artificial tasting. The cheesecake in the matcha cheesecake was small cheesecake pieces as opposed to chunks. White chocolate raspberry had the most rich and luxurious texture, which I'm assuming is from the white chocolate's high fat content. Try it!! It was like gelato. I'll definitely be back for more flights! Probably this weekend, lol

Hayward L.

Yelp
Cute little ice cream shop with an extensive selection of funky flavors. The ice cream bar spans about 20 feet so you know their priorities are right! Went for the chocolate and brownie eventually, but everything else we tried was delicious too!

Paul J.

Yelp
Alert!  Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream has now opened in Fallsgrove!  Yay! My favorite ice cream is now upcounty.  There will be a soft opening the weekend of February 24-25, 2024, and until then they'll have select flavors available for the lucky customers (like me) who stop by. Tucked away in the Fallsgrove shopping plaza, Sarah's Ice Cream is a local institution.  Started by the mom & daughter super-duo of Sarah and Annie, their two downcounty locations have been thriving because they care about their community, and because the ice cream is THE BEST ICE CREAM!  (Don't just take my word for it, Mr. MoCo voted it #1 himself: https://mocoshow.com/2023/07/16/mr-mocos-15-favorite-ice-cream-spots-in-moco/) Definitely the best in Montgomery County, probably the best in the DMV, and I'm pretty sure it can go head-to-head with any other ice cream out there.   I christened the new location by buying four classic pints: Pure Chocolate, Fudge Brownie, Party Cake and Blueberry Swirl.  How long will these last in the house?  I think three days is the longest that any pint from Sarah's has made it in my freezer.  Lavender Honey stands out - once that pint is open, just throw away the lid, 'cos we're gonna finish it.  The classic flavors are my favorite, but every few months they roll out a batch of new flavors to meet the season, and I can't wait to see what the Fallsgrove location brings.   Stop by Sarah's Handmade when you're nearby - you won't be sorry!

Yelp
Came here on a Friday afternoon and fortunately the line wasn't too bad. There is a huuuge selection of different flavors to choose from. I believe you could also try samples if you want, but I'm not 100% sure. In any case, a great ice cream place if you decide to visit. There is plenty of parking spaces out in the front and accept CCs, etc. My only downside to the review is that there are not a lot of seats for people to sit. There is a long bench that has a couple of books to read, but no tables, etc. I'm guessing most people just buy and leave. Other than that - a great place to eat, especially now that summer is fast approaching!

Chelsey J.

Yelp
There are so many unique flavors to pick from and the staff was very patient while we chose. I thought it was cool that they have the option to spilt 1 scoop and get two different flavors. I got the coconut almond brownie and baileys Irish cream with chocolate chips. I like that the chocolate chips weren't too over powering or hard. I usually pass on ice cream with chocolate chips of any kind inside because I hate chewing on frozen chips! My partner also got the coconut almond brownie and then got a scoop of lavender honey. I must say, the lavender honey was very refreshing. & the coconut almond brownie was delicious, it had the perfect ratio of everything and the brownie was so soft. It practically just melted in my mouth. I am looking forward to trying more flavors!

Ngan D.

Yelp
One of the best ice cream places! Thanks to my friend who recommended/wanted to go here. They had so many ice cream flavors that I was a bit overwhelmed. If I had the stomach and don't have to worry about the sugar level, I would love to try all the flavors lol it's a small place though in a busy shopping center. If you plan on going with a big group, there might not be enough space to sit. My favorite was the red velvet and ube, even though I thought the ube could skip the coconut flakes. Definitely will come back!

David M.

Yelp
Solid entry into the DMV ice cream sweepstakes from this mother-daughter team. I love the way that they rotate the flavors so it's never the same experience twice. Many of the choices are a bit too sweet for my taste (think birthday cake) but the kiddos absolutely love them. I'm partial to the fruit-based flavors, especially the blackberry chocolate chip. Yum!!! Service is efficient and friendly. Staff cheerfully provides tastes of various flavors so you can feel good about your selection. No buyer's remorse here!! But be kind to your fellow customers. In these dog days of summer, you might want to think about limiting your taste requests to 3 at the maximum. :-) Not a ton of seating, but this is an ice cream place. Who needs seating? Just grab a cone and stroll with your massive scoop of dairy satisfaction. Stay cool!

Tammy J.C. D.

Yelp
So good! Stopped in 1/2 hour before closing on a Saturday night and while there was a bit of a line, the service was fast & efficient. So many unique flavors to choose from, and the local names make it that much cooler. I got the Bethesda Brownie Brickle and it did not disappoint! My son got Rocky Rockville Road and it was super rich, in a good way. My husband is a bit of a traditionalist so he got Butter Pecan and said it was good. I wasn't about to waste my calories taste testing that old man stuff! Small little shop, very limited seating area, but clean and well lit.

Maria M.

Yelp
I love Sarah's so much! Their ice cream never disappoints. Everyone behind the counter is also so nice and you definitely know you're going to get great service when you come! The vibe is pretty low key and chill and that is exactly what I'm looking for in a great ice cream shop! Definitely give this place a try!

Fred K.

Yelp
Hoping that the third time is the charm for keeping an ice cream store in Fallsgrove. First was Häagen-Dazs, then Melt, and now Sarah's. I've been coming here so much now since it opened. So many flavors and unique ones to choose from. Wonder if it is more than the 31 flavors that Baskin Robbin's always touts. I should count next time. $5 for a single scoop of ice cream ain't cheap, but the quality, creaminess, and tastes of these many different flavors puts me in a good mood and in a happy place. They also do pints of ice cream to take home. Love their chocolate Oreo and the mint chocolate with lucky charm marshmallows. Only negative is that I wish they had more seating like in their wildwood location as it only has two benches to eat. Thanks for opening in Fallsgrove!

Dee D.

Yelp
Welcoming upon entry for sure! Generous complimentary tasting for all customers who entered the door. I tried a rose pistachio flavor, cherry blossom and blueberry swirl - all delicious. My cone of course was creamy butter pecan. It was creamy, fresh and tasty. There was a slight after note not sure what it was. This place will undoubtedly be packed in the warmer months! Stop by ---Signed, Happy this establishment has come to my neighborhood.

Paul S.

Yelp
First time at this Fallsgrove location and a big fan of Sarah's. I love their Thai tea ice cream and this time I paired it with ube coconut. Thai tea is always great and the ube coconut was a little more bland than what I'd thought; not enough coconut. They pack in the half/half scoop so that's my go-to.

Zachary K.

Yelp
I've reviewed the Wildwood location and love this one just as much. It's very nice on the inside and the ice cream is just as good as any other Sarah's location. Standouts being Banana Pudding and Bethesda Brownie Brickle. Recently applied for a job at this location and would love to work at my favorite ice cream place! Zachary Kwiecinski

Lisa X.

Yelp
Definitely gonna spend a lot of money here. I'm so happy this location opened! It's perfect for the summer. The parking lot can be crazy during peak hours. Located to many other shops around so you can get your errands done. Staff were friendly and patient with offering samples of all their delicious flavors. You really can't go wrong with any of the flavors. So far my favorites include matcha cheesecake, red velvet, orange creamsicle, and cookie dough. They have seasonal flavors too so it's always something new to try. And definitely get their house made ice cream cones! They have a nice modern clean store with packed pints to go. Don't forget to sign up for their loyalty program!

Samantha L.

Yelp
Sarah's Handmade Ice Cream & Treats is an award winning ice cream shop. It's neat that they have vegan-friendly flavors, seasonal, alcohol/tea infused, and kid-approved flavors. It is a great addition to Fallsgrove Village Center in Rockville. It's located between myeyedr and Moby Dick House of Kabob. During soft opening, they offered Buy 3 Pints, Get 1 Free and Buy 1 Get 1 Free Sarah's Signature Six Flavor Flight. Brandy, Eileen, and I shared two flights of ice cream. The first flight had Boston Cream Pie, Cocoa & Mallows, White Chocolate Raspberry, Salted Caramel Oatmeal Cookie, Dark & Stormy Rum Raisin, and Thai Iced Tea. The second flight had Orange Chocolate Chip, Lemon Poppyseed Shortbread, Matcha Cheesecake, Bailey's Irish Chip, Thai Iced Tea, and Coffee Oreo. Among the flavors I tried, my favorites were Lemon Poppyseed Shortbread, Bailey's Irish Chip, and Thai Iced Tea. Our least favorite flavor was Dark & Stormy Rum Raisin because the rum was overpowering. I'd return to try their other flavors: -Classics: Oreo Lover, Mint Chocolate Chip, Really Strawberry, Black Raspberry Chip -Seasonal: Banana Pudding, Peppermint Stick -Kid Approved: Cotton Candy

Anna C.

Yelp
Ordered a birthday cake to go and it was delicious! Would love to come back and try the other ice cream flavors. Can't speak to the service or ambiance unfortunately.

Yoojin C.

Yelp
It was my first time coming here after learning about it through a yelp event, and it won't be my last! Ice cream is my favorite food, and I can say that this place is it !! I love the many different and unique selections that they offer here! I got the ube with coconut! Flavorful and not crazy sweet. It is $5 per scoop so it isn't cheap but it's good to splurge once in a while for self care. I can't wait to come back to try all the flavors.

Jessica L.

Yelp
This was my second trip to Sarah's and I just had to review! First I have a PSA: They have Thai iced tea, ice cream!!! I have been looking for this ice cream everywhere from the first time trying it and have only ever seen it at that one restaurant. Not only was it such a pleasant surprise but Sarah's Thai ice Tea, ice cream is perfect! So far, I've tried a double scoop on each of my two trips. There's so many flavors to choose from that I-need at least two scoops each time so I can knock out all the flavors. On my first trip, I tried one scoop of the dark chocolate and one scoop of the Bailey's Irish cream. On this trip, I tried one scoop of the salted caramel and one scoop of the Thai ice cream. This was an amazingly delicious combo! The ice creams are so smooth and creamy. They are as smooth and as soft serve, but they're definitely turned/spun. I believe it's the handmade process that makes them so incredible. I seen that they have Ube coconut flavor, so I'm definitely gonna find a combo for that flavor to try on my next trip. The service on both occasions has been very friendly. They took time to answered my questions and gave suggestions...Today I was offered a sample on my combo because I wasn't sure how that combo would work on my pallet. (Salted Caramel w/Thai Ice Tea = 10/10) The scoop sizes are also very decent, which makes me a happy camper! The location is very clean and well-maintained. They have a couple places where you can view the flavors before you get in line so that's helpful when you're not sure what you want. **You can also view the flavors as well as order online**. They also have a reward as well system... Summer is coming so those points will add up! I definitely recommend you stop by for scoop!

Yelp
I owed my girlfriend an ice cream date, so we decided to come here. When we arrived yesterday evening it was very busy! Many people were coming out as we were going in. This is often a great sign! Once inside, there was a line but it moved very quickly. They get you in and out in a breeze without feeling like you're being rushed. This was some of the tastiest ice cream with a variety of unique flavors and combinations. You could choose from a half/half scoop of different flavors. So my girlfriend and I each got two different flavors. She got the lavender honey ice cream as well as the banana pudding ice cream, which I felt both were delicious. I got the hazelnut churro and a brownie Brickle ice cream which was delectable! You could even taste the churro pieces and cinnamon in some of the bites. You can definitely tell love and care was put into making this ice cream and that it is hands down handmade. This is coming from someone who has Bruster's Ice Cream right across the street from them and I would gladly go here even though it's not the most convenient because of the quality of ice cream and great service. They also have two other locations to choose from. There is a flavor here for just about everyone and they have a good variety of vegan options as well. I've already told several friends about this place and eagerly await my return to sample more awesome flavors! This is been probably one of my favorite ice cream places I've visited this year. Seeing the flavors was a little intimidating at first due to the wide variety but rest assured you can't go wrong with any of the flavors you pick. I honestly can't see them having a bad flavor or one that you will not enjoy. Step outside of your comfort zone and step into a flavor explosion for the taste buds! The atmosphere here is busy and for good reason, as they have some of the best ice cream in the area. I also learned that this is a women-owned business and I actually got a chance to see the interview video they did as I was looking for this on Google to review. Both mother and daughter have a passion for their craft and it is expressed in a plethora of deliciousness for all to enjoy! This was my first time here and I'll definitely be back.

Jordan B.

Yelp
Staff was friendly, even though they seemed busy. Ice cream quality was amazing. Flavor variety was incredible and unique. Will be back and looking forward to trying the spring flavors!

G Z.

Yelp
Went for the soft opening in Shady Grove and met the owners Sarah and Annie. Reconnected with an old hs classmate! Perfect spot for an afternoon pick me up. New flavors were amazing! Clean Long line went by quickly for a soft opening with the owners. Highly recommend the sea salt oatmeal flavor! It was delicious and just the right amount of sweetness.

Alan M.

Yelp
Wonderful ice cream. Lots of delicious flavors. Friendly, efficient staff. Good rewards program.

Craig D.

Yelp
(4) ~ very good overall ice cream & service ICE CREAM: ** Oreo Lover = (4.5) My Fav! ** Cherry Creme Brulee = (4) very good

Alexis T.

Yelp
The staff is friendly and helpful. The ice cream is not as sweet as standardly expected but has a lighter, freshness to it. The lavender honey and rose pistachio flavors may be a nice pairing and ate refreshing and light. The coconut milk ice cream has a nice coconut flavor. The chocolate flavors seem to be very mild and could probably benefit using a more flavorful chocolate. Overall it was a pleasant experience.

Justine K.

Yelp
I am so excited they opened in my neighborhood Fallsgrove Village center. President's weekend is their soft opening. Their complete signage is not up yet but the store already felt warm and inviting. I tried cotton candy, Oreo lover and banana pudding ice cream flavors. All were so good I couldn't decide. I ended up with a scoop of cotton candy and a pint of Oreo lover. All flavors are available for purchase in pint size. The staff were helpful and patient with all my questions. I will definitely be coming back.

Yelp
Took my family here right after they opened. This is a welcome addition to the neighborhood! They have some fun, unique flavors. Love that their coffee Oreo ice cream is made with decaf! Overall, this is pretty good ice cream. Looking forward to trying some more flavors next time.

Yelp
I love eating the coconut almond brownie flavor on any day of the year, even in the winter! My sister and I love days that we go to Sarah's and are greeted by such an amazing staff who are always smiling. This is an important treat for me as someone who has grown up in the Bethesda area! All of the different flavors show how creative and original Sarah's is in creating their awesome flavors. I love this place!

Yelp
Overall very good quality, I suggest the honey lava set or pistachio. I highly recommend you try it at least.

Yelp
#1- This is the absolute Best ice cream in the DMV! The first two locations are always packed and that will be the same for the newest location. I'm so happy we now have a location on this side of 270. #2- COFFEE OREO. Thank me later.

Yelp
First, Sarah's has been my favorite ice cream spot in the area. They have great flavors. However, this last time I went, and I was disappointed. It was right before closing and maybe that was my mistake. I ordered a single scoop in a waffle cone. Two of them. And they were smaller than normal. But worse, the cone tastes stale! Not good at all, especially for the price. Bummer, I would've gone back, but it's closed now. I would've asked them to remake it.

Yelp
I'd give them a higher rating if they treated their employees better, gave them time off, allowed them time off for the death of a family member, etc. If you go there and the service is bad just remember the employees are treated horribly and the CEOs daughter is only after money. The ice cream is okay. A lot of them are way too sweet and that's coming from someone with a sweet tooth. I love the key lime but it's only available in the warmer months.
