The Best Restaurants in Astoria | Eater NY

"This old-school mom-and-pop shop is a holdout from an era when the Balkan immigrant population was heavier in Astoria, and it has some of the best Balkan comfort foods the city has to offer. Its specialities include juicy cevapi sausages, saucy sarma stuffed cabbage, puffy lepinja bread, and a lightly sweet ajvar, a roasted red pepper and eggplant spread. Spend some time there and customers will inevitably see round trays of spinach pie cheese boureks going in and out of the oven." - Eater Staff

Please come. It’s family owned I believe. Very nice people. Very homey and to the point joint. We asked about the different beverages and they explained it so well. Got Mixed meat for 2. The long sausage was by far my favorite. Chicken was tender and juicy. The kidneys were so good. And finally the Sweetbreads( Beef pancreas) something I’ve never had before. I had to call them to get the name. My first time having that and Bosnian food. Both such a great experience. Every was fresh, everything was hot, even the pita bread, it was clearly made in house and was so fresh. I’m not sure who’s the chef here but they get down! The Cockta which was recommended was so good I had to buy another. I will be back!

First time trying Bosnian food, love the cevapi. Nice people with great service that create such a friendly atmosphere here. Will definitely come back.

Google
The first time trying Bosnian cuisine, it was pretty good. I loved the sausages; they tasted smoky and bouncy, giving a very nice mouthfeel. This herbal soda we randomly ordered turned out super nice too! The whole spot was small and didn't have much decoration, I guess it aimed to present the unique and long-run restaurant vibes. I wouldn’t mind going back there again on the day I skip vegetation dietary as it’s just 2 minutes walk from home.

Google
Walked by many times and finally tried it today. Food is awesome, strong recommend the Beef Burek and Cevapi. The Kajmak is definitely a great match with pita. Nice vibe with service and very relax experience.

Google
Went there for the 2nd time. First time I had a takeout and the second I had more time, so I decided to stay and eat in the cafe itself. Both times I had the same cevapi and it was delicious. Also the people working in Sarajevo Grill are very warm and welcoming. I’ll definitely pay a visit to the place every time I’m in Astoria. If you like great meat for lunch - this is your place.

A week ago, I visited this small but cozy place with my friends. Everything looks authentic and very clean. The women who work there are friendly, polite, and cook incredibly delicious food. It's truly homemade and tasty. We ordered cevapi's, potato pie, and also tried some sweets. We were incredibly lucky because the girl who served us was very friendly and even treated us to an extra piece of their desserts. It was unbelievably delicious! Everything we ordered was filling, and we didn’t need seconds because the portions were large. The meat in our dishes was very fresh and juicy. I definitely recommend trying this food—it's unlike anything you'd find in other cafes and restaurants. Omg, and I forgot to tell about bread, its amazing and super delicious. You definitely should go and try it.

Google
It's amazing definitely recommended. They do best cevapi even better than bosnia.

Google
Recently tried Bosnian food for the first time—ćevapi and burek— at Sarajevo Grill! The ćevapi were juicy, flavorful grilled sausages served with soft somun bread, onions, and a creamy sauce. The burek was a warm, flaky pastry filled with seasoned meat—rich, but not too heavy. And, it was halal certified. Simple, comforting, and full of flavor. A great intro to Bosnian cuisine!

Yelp
Ate here today by myself after work as a substitute paraprofessional at P.S. 234 Q. This was definitely my first time eating Bosnian food feeling curious about what to choose and eat for the first time that I had gotten the cevapi with a cold glass bottle of Bosnian soda and for dessert I tried the tulumba. Overall, it was really good, savory and delicious. The service there was also attentive, pleasant and friendly. I couldn't agree more. Finally, I would definitely eat and come back again next time! :)

Yelp
This Bosnian restaurant is tucked away in a discrete/less busy area of LIC but shouldn't be overlooked. The food is absolutely great albeit some of it needs a bit more salt/flavor. I came with a group of friends and to start we got the chevaps and bureks. The chevaps are truly delicious and don't need any condiments with it either. The bureks were quite good as well- we got the cheese ones and the spinach one as well. We wanted the meat ones but unfortunately they were sold out. The cheese ones were lacking a bit of flavor but with the ajvar it was a lot better. The spinach one was tasty with or without the dip. The stuffed cabbage, however, was the standout. I added a bit more salt to it which made it a lot better IMHO. All in all, this is a great staple and I will be back, especially after I see they have frozen goodies as well for home!

Yelp
Ordered: Spinach Burek (~$7) Sarma (~$19): stuffed cabbage Kombinacija (~$21): House Combo of Cevapi & Sudzukice (sausage) with diced onions and ajvar (roasted red pepper sauce) Aya's take: First time trying Bosnian food, and I am obsessed. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. As a first timer, the House Combo aka Kombinacija was a perfect try. The Cevapi is one of the best bites I've had in 2024. It's savory, oily, and a bit smoky. The blend of spices they use is absolutely fantastic because these were so good on their own but I did eat some with the warm fresh pita bread, diced onions, and ajvar (roasted red pepper sauce). If you get one thing here, let it be the Cevapi! The Sudzukice were longer and thinner sausages with slightly different flavor but still quite delicious. Not as satisfying as the Cevapi but very well-done. The Sarma aka Stuffed Cabbage was super comforting and loaded with soft rice and ground meat. It was a bit pricy for what it is, in my opinion. The Spinach Burek was just okay to me; it didn't taste fresh but for ~$7, you get 2 massive pieces - pretty great value. All in all, this spot was a great try and the Cevapi quite literally changed my tastebuds forever.

Yelp
The food was delicious! I ordered the wrong plate but regardless, tasted great! The service was super welcoming and the place is definitely a hole in the wall. I highly recommend stopping by!!

Yelp
I told you i will move on, and i did from Djerdan! This place is smaller, one of the oldest Bosnian restaurants in the neighborhood. I discovered Djerdan before this place. I prefered Djerdan because of location to this place all those years. Now it is SARAJEVO time!! Bureks are here better, compared to Djerdan that place is more industrialized with less stuffing inside. At Sarajevo sloces are better. Thank you

Yelp
Great value and delicious food! I came with a group of friends and we got one each of the bureks, combo plate, mixed meat plate for 1, and some desserts. We were also given pitas. As expected the cevapi was hot, juicy, and delicious, and i was pleased that all the other meats were tender too. The owners told us that the mixed meat plate includes organs (heart, kidney, etc.). I was initially skeptical, but I'm glad I gave it a try, since it ended up being my favorite. The burek was less my thing, since I prefer my food hot, and these were room temp pastries. The filo dough had also gotten a bit stale. My friends seems to enjoy them though. We were completely full by the end and gave leftovers to take home. In terms of ambience, it's a no frills place, but was perfectly comfortable for us to hang out at for a few hours. Service was quick. Overall, a great meal!
google avatar

Yelp
They're lovely here. It's a no frills restaurant but the food is really tasty. Our grill came with heart kidney sausages abd y ge famous ceramic. It was all hood. Thete was also a chicken skewe with the grill. We had spinach burek which was exceptional. Mera's Tip: taste of Bosnia

Yelp
Food was exceptional, 10/10. My second visit in two weeks. Feels like homemade with organic ingredients.

Yelp
Still my go-to place for Balkan food. Service is always quick and food is usually ready within 10 minutes. After coming to this restaurant a few times, I would recommend the following items the most: - Cevapi (similar to kebab) - This dish is their specialty. Nice smoky flavor. Hard not to devour the whole thing. Love the bread served with this as well. - Pljeskavica (The Balkan take on a burger) - Meat is perfectly spiced. The burger is also huge! I would probably split this with someone. - Yogurt drink - Not sure if it's homemade, but it always tastes fresh. Pairing this with your meal is a must! Would pass on the burek. They're decent, but not the best. They need to work on adding more filling and the cheese itself is a bit bland. Oh and if you're craving dessert, they have a fridge with walnut baklava, tulumba, and a couple of other goodies. Wishing Cevabdzinica Sarajevo a continued success in 2022 and beyond! *Note* Their prices have been raised and prices listed on Yelp are not accurate.

Yelp
A hidden gem offering Bosnian and Slavic comfort food. On a cold November day, the goulash in this family restaurant hit the spot. I had passed this place many times yet never ventured inside. I had been planning to go to another restaurant on Steinway Street, but at the last minute, I changed my mind. I was not sure what to expect. To my pleasure, I found a really nice family restaurant run by a welcoming family. All in all a very good experience.

B T.

Yelp
Pretty good spinach burek, definitely fresher and flakier than other places (even ones that specialize in burek), but on the slightly less flavorful side. Good service. A family spot well-loved by locals closely familiar with the cuisine.
google avatar

Arlene G.

Yelp
Everything here was yummy! Very authentic Bosnian food that tasted the same as what I had in Sarajevo. They even sell the Bosnian red pepper condiment called ajvar in big glass jars to take home. Not much ambiance though.

Yelp
Balkan Food in NYC! The one of the few, if not the only, Balkan restaurant in NYC. Everything was delicious, get the Cevapi and don't underestimate the bread that it comes with. CEVAPI Their "claim to fame," so to speak, the grilled beef. Yummy, juicy, warm and a very slight char. Tender, salty and yummy. I would like to come back just for this, and the bread that this and other dishes come with - warm, pillowy, stretchy and chewy. Really delightful and satisfying, like chewing into a cloud with that mildly sweet bread flavor. SARMA Cabbage stuffed with pork - really liked these as well. The soup that they come in has a flavor reminiscent of a tomato base, a little sweet and sour, and the pork is nice and tender. This place does its meat pretty well, as you're not stuck chewing something for longer than is enjoyable. The potatoes are very smooth - a bit like boxed mash would I say but still yummy nonetheless. Lamb Chops Tender lamb, seasoned and dressed up rice. This was a winner too. I don't usually like lamb chops but this was delicious

Yelp
This spot was awesome and brought me back to the times I used to spend in the balkans. Good food and a home like atmosphere. Gotta get the cevapi!!
google avatar

Kitty R.

Yelp
Wow-- I don't even write reviews but this food is DELICIOUS. I didn't even know what to expect but I certainly didn't expect it to change my life in the way it did. I'm not even a big eater-- I rarely get super full but YO I crushed the stuffed cabbage. Couldn't get enough. Don't sleep on this!!
google avatar

Hande A.

Yelp
Absolutely the best cevapi! I've been visiting the place since 2018 and never got disappointed! Desserts are AMAZING. Salad is also very good! Best best best.
google avatar

Austin K.

Yelp
They were pleasant enough to explain all the desserts that she had (they are on a refrigerator to the right, but there are also some more on the counter behind the cashier). Overall, we thought the food was comparable to Djerdan (thought the food there was wonderful as well, although we didn't get any desserts there). We got the House Combo (cevapi + Bosnian sausage + pita bread (lots of it) + onion/red pepper sauce). Will reaffirm the other reviews that Bosnian sausage has more flavor more in line with, well, a sausage, but I like the cevapi as a meat that's still sausage-like in texture but not as rich. Pita bread is indeed pillowy. We got the cheese/butter spread Kajmak for an additional $2, and while it was good, I don't know if it's a must-have. Also got the Sarma, which I didn't like, but girlfriend did even at Djerdan. For dessert, we got the kadaif which is shredded filo dough with walnuts in the honey syrup common for baklava. I had a version of this at Omonia, and I like this so much better in terms of texture and sweetness level (Omonia's desserts tend to be way too sweet for me). Also, got the tulumbe, which is reminiscent of a more lightly fried churro, with a slightly crispy exterior and mushy interior.
google avatar

Samah I.

Yelp
Amazing staff Really quick service Awesome food Huge portions It's also all halal! The borek was delicious with the perfect cheese to pilo ratio and amazingly crisp and flaky. The pita was soft and pillowy (everything you could want in a pita) The meat in all the dishes I had were savory and cooked to perfection and very flavorful. Trilece had the perfect sweetness and melt in your mouth quality. Will be back. Had such a beautiful experience here.
google avatar

Ken W.

Yelp
Cevapi and Bosnian sausage were extremely tender, with the former having a slight edge in flavor. Burek was crispy and savory.

Yelp
Having gone to the Museum of the Moving Image and a chess club at the billiards place nearby, I have been here several times. The food here is excellent and reasonably priced and the women in front are very nice. In terms of drinks, they don't have alcohol which is to be expected with the cockta and jupi being nice sodas in the area. The former is unique being flavored with a variety of botanicals (primarily rose hip/lemon) with the latter being basically a better version of Fanta. One of the combos; a mix of Cevapi and Sudzukice; is a good things to get the first time you are here. If you're only going to pick one, the cevapi is better as the mostly unpronounceable name of the restaurant would suggest but the Bosnian sausage is no slouch either. I prefer the Pijeskavica from some other places more in terms of spice but their advar works wonders in terms of adding flavor. Surprisingly the chicken kebab here are also very moist and very tasty. The bureks are good (though of course some specialty spots are better.) The Punjene Paprike or green peppers stuffed with beef and rice were also quite good and very moist with a good gravy. The pasulj is also good with a good amount of meat and a very tasty broth and I would recommended if you're looking for something very comforting and warm. In terms of desserts, I would recommend going with those that aren't made with phyllo as everything is kept cold (as in not Baklava/kadaif.) My preferences are the Oblanda/Oblatne and the Hurmasica/Hurmašice. The former is a Balkan wafer cake stuffed with chopped walnuts and something that resembles a caramel and it is delicious while the latter is the Balkan version of Kalburabastı and it is also quite tasty being a cake covered in honey with a very fun texture. The tulumbe or Balkan donuts are similarly fine. Good place. Mid 4.

Asim I.

Yelp
Sve je top. Cevapi, Pleskavica, Burek, Sirnica... Sve. Everything is perfect. Cevapi, Pleskavica, Burek, Sirnica... Everything.

Nithin G.

Yelp
Loved - Potato burek - Pasulj - Service - quick and friendly - Simple but beautiful decor Liked - Chicken kebab

Yelp
Transport yourself to the Balkans! Delicioussss Cevap! Wish we came early enough for the Burek, but some joker literally left with both whole pies in front of our eyes Worth the wait! Prices are a tad high, but when she's practically the only Bosnian joint in the city, she can set her price. Will be back!
google avatar

CatticusFinch R.

Yelp
The food is AMAZING-not much else to say about that. The ambience and service are both very much like someone's house not at all uptight and very friendly.

Yelp
I never tried Balkan food before, let alone the one in NYC (I'll be in trouble if I get hooked because it's at least an hour away from me!) I only tried the flagship dish cevapi, which is the tender grilled beef sticks (5 or 10 stick options) that are just UTTERLY delicious and drenching with flavor and juice. Pack it with the thick sweet bread that's equally fluffy, fork in the pieces of garlic that are strewn about your plate, and dip the mishmash into the magical mildly sweet sauce that serves as the "icing on top" -- it's just a perfect lunch that's made even better when coupled with my 2nd dish.... The spinach Burke, that was shaped like an upside down pizza when made (one order is for a quarter pan), and proved to be just blast of flaky layers enveloping superbly delicious egg and spinach blend that are a joy to eat to the mouth and the nose.... To me this dish resembles a blessed marriage between spanakopita and the "martabak" dish famous in South East Asia. Stumbled upon this small restaurant on the way to the Museum of Moving Images a few blocks away, I wholeheartedly think this deserves another visit even if only for a recurrence of the burke experience (cheese and beef are the other choices of filling), but surely to try the other dishes that I'm sure I pronounced wrong -- but look so promisingly delicious!

Yelp
Excellent Eastern European home cooking! Always hot and freshly made. The Burek meat pie is the best.

Yelp
The number of Croatians and Bosnians in the Astoria / LIC area has always been significant, but amidst all the businesses catering to the Balkan community, Cevabdzinica Sarajevo has somehow remained the most well known of them all. The place is tiny, with just enough tables for lunch dates and solo dining. The interior is dated as well, but I think that just adds more charm of the place. While big group dining is possible, it would be recommended to that party to 4 max. Many folks are coming here for the cevapi, a balkan grilled minced meat, which has been the restaurant's claim to fame. It is after all, the national dish of several countries (#1) and where better than to get them in Queens? Typically they're served with a flatbread and a pile of onions, feta cheese, sour cream, and some other condiments. The cevapi here I believe is Bosnian based, hence the use of the beef. The bottom line? It's really tasty and I highly recommend it. But as they say with most good restaurants, that's not the only thing. I love their sarma, which is stuffed cabbage and it comes with lots of sauce and potatoes. Whenever they bring a fresh burek (stuffed with anything), I have to have it. I would also say that the mixed grill for 2 is a good value for major meat lovers and any of their kebabs (especially the chicken) is excellent. Don't sleep on the gulash either, the beef stew really comes through. (#2) The guys running the show are super nice. They're not the best on the phone but are generally quite friendly. Prices are a little steep for the amount of food one gets, but this is LIC. I wish there were more places like this, but beggers can't be choosers. I'll continue to give Cevabdzinica Sarajevo my money and my appetite. _____________ (#1) Bosnia, Croatia, and Serbia (#2) Another unintentional rhyme.

Yelp
If you are visiting NYC, and looking for Balkan food, this is where you should go! Food was great, cevapcici are delicious as well as their homemade burek! Baklava was so good and juicy! On my vacation in NYC I went there 3 times, and they didn't disappoint not even once, even when they had huge take out order our food came out fast and delicius so, you should definitely try it, it's worth every penny, will be back for sure! Customer service was outstanding as well
google avatar

Yelp
I love cevapi, the first time I had it I knew it was one of my stable foods. My Bosnian/Montenegrin boyfriend put me on to this meal and it's now my favorite. 10/10. I love the ajvar and kajmak mixed together.
google avatar

G D.

Yelp
The restaurant itself is no thrills, but the flavor of their dishes is 100% on point, and it's well worth it. The service is pretty good too, but let's face it, you're there for the food after all. Go! You'll enjoy it.

Yelp
A cute little place in residential Astoria. The woman who answered the phone as I stood on the street and placed my order was the same woman later in the kitchen cooking the food -- a Balkan resiliency emanating throughout the quaint establishment and spilling onto the amber colored streets. When I walked inside, the store smelled deliciously of grilled breads, meats, and cheeses, and a hazy smoke clung to the air. A kiss from the freshly prepared meal. There's a $15 card minimum, but the same woman gladly accepted cash as well. Adjacent to the cash register, a freezer stood silently, upholding a delicious assortment of desserts I was too reluctant to ask about. A cake swimming in an opaque, sugary cream stood out in particular. Anyway, I ordered the mixed meats platter, a cheese burek, and two sides of kajmak. All tested delightfully and, despite the dulling cold of a November night, transported me of the first, sunny afternoon I tasted Bosnian food. The meats were savory and supple; the cheese burek perfectly flaky, melting in my mouth with an ecstatic harmony of butter, ripe cheese, and savory carbs; the kajmac (two sides because it's so good) accelerated all of the above, danced with the lepinja. For a total of $28, it was a moderate splurge. In these dire times, we must support local businesses. This business is well worth a trip to Astoria.

Yelp
My friends, if it's your first time here, you have to have the cevapi...cevapi is what you're going to have! I like to apologize for the behavior of my passion for the cevapi...but it is too good to pass up. The name of the restaurant and most of the dishes are tongue twisters, but fumble your way through and dig in on some Balkan deliciousness. Meat in all forms, whether hot off the grill and piled sky high, stuffed inside cabbage, between slices of bread, or in a flaky pastry, makes for a carnivore's dream. The burek (baked filled pastries made with a thin flaky phyllo dough), the sarma is my favorite starter (meat rolled in cabbage served with mashed potatoes on the side), and the many varieties of kebabs and sausages (especially the cevapi, the small skineless sausages made from minced meat) are solid, and of course the pjleskavica (think of it as a Bosnian burger) is fantastic. Get yourself extra ajvar and enjoy the juicy, tender, meaty awesomeness of one of the best Bosnian restaurants in Queens.
google avatar

Anna T.

Yelp
Definitely a hole in the wall, local place. Cash only when we went! Flavorful and well seasoned food. Generous portions. Few tables, seems to be a mainly to go place. Food looks exactly like it does on the menu. Great spot if you're in the area!

Valbona R.

Yelp
The best food in NYC. the staff is very friendly Loved ittt Can't wait to go back...
google avatar

Yelp
Best balkan comfort food in New York! Try their cevapi and burek, my favorite is the meat one!
google avatar

Jing K.

Yelp
The cevapi was delicious and nicely completed with raw onions, the tomato based jam/sauce but the rest of my meal was very disappointing. The mixed grill plate tasted off putting. I love organ meats like sweet breads, livers fine right but unfortunately this placed misses the mark. Mixed plate was dry and the meat was unseasoned and also needed to be cleaned better. The multiple beeping of the microwave was also a concern as I waited for my food leading to the fear that it was not fresh grilled.

Robert M.

Yelp
Amazing mouth watering food would highly recommend this place. Food is always fresh and made with love.

Yelp
AVOID AT ALL COST AND THANK ME LATER. I don't know who ate at this restaurant and left more than a star. Must be friends and family, because no way this restaurant deserves even one star. This is by far the worst restaurant. There is absolutely nothing halal about this place. I usually don't go out of my way to leave a negative review unless it was well earned. The server leaned on top of me and expected me to deliver her food. I don't remember last time I felt so uncomfortable. Server brought the old Burek that was sitting around for well over a few days and was microwaved. It was by far the worst Burek I ever tasted. I had food poisoning from it as it was likely meat that was kept in room temperature for a numerous day and was microwaved prior to being served. The server brought my other comrades their food all at different times, this was also a new experience. So we all ate one after another. When we were leaving, they attempted to double charge us as they were totally unorganized just like the whole kitchen process there. I am ashamed this place carries the Sarajevo name. A true embarrassment of the worst restaurant hands down I ever ordered food from. Everything from the service to the food is not even bad, its horrendous. The place has not seen a cleaning in years. A true shame off the Bosnian Cuisine. If anyone eats Bosnian food from here, they going to say Bosnian food is garbage when it is not, and they wouldn't be wrong for it. A complete rip off, I am not sure how they are even in business. To add to the insult to the food poisoning, they over charge. 2 dollars for 4 grams of sour cream. 3 dollars for four ounces of yogurt. Maybe the bamboozle works well in a busy traffic city. Hope you read this and save yourself food poisoning. To add I wouldn't feed the burek to stray dog that was starving to death as this would kill him faster. I suggest they cook that burek and put it around NYC to get rid of the rats.

Yelp
Seems like a cozy family restaurant I went here to try their Cevapi again after a friend introduced me to it & it did not disappoint! Very tasty the only complaint I have is that I wish it was a bigger portion for price ( it is 8$ instead of 6$ that it says on the website) But overall i really enjoyed it , once you mix alm the ingredients together in the cevapi it really meshes well! Alot of flavor , i need to try their baklava next!

Adis K.

Yelp
I'm Bosnian I know what Bosnian food is and that was not burek. Pita is not layers of filo dough. On top of that food got my buddy and myself sick. I eat at restaurants all the time and never seen people being served separately NEVER. We were all hungry and hungry men looking at eating men is not cool.....Make changes or close the doors for good
google avatar

Anna L.

Yelp
Service was a little brusque but the cevapi (beef sausages) was delicious. A small comes with 5 sausage while a large comed with 10. It is served with delicious, fresh bread, raw onions, and a red pepper sauce. I thought the sauce was going to be hot, but it is not at all which is good for me. Credit card minimum is $15.

Yelp
Five stars for: -The service. Delightful but no-nonsense group of folks cooking & running the place. Five or so people who, during our meal, all sat down at a table next to us to have dinner. Very welcoming, especially in letting people compensate for the lack of beverages available there ;) Duane Reade half a block away! -Location w/r/t Museum of the Moving Image. The museum is a block away, so this is a good quick spot to grab dinner before a movie, exhibit, etc. -The price. Worth it just for this. Full bill with food leftover for about 6 people was $60. 3 stars for: -The food. It's definitely good, but they were out of several things we tried to order, and what we did order was fine but not amazing. The cevapi and the other beef dish we had tasted pretty similar, and neither were very flavorful, a bit bland. The large pie with cheese or spinach (can't recall the name, but spanakopita-esque) was fine, totally decent, but not great. Sopska salad was sparse, pretty wet, and the cheese was average. I would come back if I were heading to the museum and wanted somewhere cheap, but it's not worth making a trek for.

Yelp
Dined in late Wednesday evening in September with a friend to check out the hype. Small little restaurant that is clearly family owned and ran. We were immediately greeted with a smile and seated with menus. There is a noticeable language barrier but was able to converse with waitress to be reccomended their popular items : (#1) Cevapi Sausage (#5 combo) Cevapi + Bosnian Sausages (Meat pie) Burek The Cavepi sausages were small and looked like sausage links. More spongy texture and juicy when biting into them. The Bosnian Sausages are longer, more solid, and a bit more flavorful. Both sausage were accompanied by soft pocket pita bread that looked like they could've been left-overs, chopped onions, and red pepper paste that isn't spicy at all. The meat pie was a HUGE disappointment. It was pretty big but hardly had any meat stuffing, and the dough was dry, Chewy instead of crispy or warm - again, doubt it was freshly baked, prolly sat there for a while and reheated via microwave instead of oven. Had a orange beverage that may be from Bosnia - tasted like Tang with carbonation. Nothing really special about this place. For the price point to food amount to the tastiness ratio it was just okay. If you're in the area, worth checking out!

Yelp
Wow the food is great. I went with my friend who's from the region, and was visiting. He confirmed how good it was

Yelp
This is a nice smaller place. Great for takeout or eat-in. Staff is welcoming and friendly. Restaurant is clean and service is smiley terrific. Wide array of authentic Bosnian foods and deserts to choose from. The cooking is hearty and delicious with a good ole home cooking tastes. My friend likes this place and it was my first time here. The prices are good for really delicious food. Both our entrees were $13 each. I had the stuffed cabbage with mashed potatoes. My friend had the white bean soup with meat. It came with a basket of hot fluffy fresh bread. Love this soup .. so hearty and coupled with the bread makes a great and filling meal. Will definitely be back .. can't wait to try their other dishes and deserts. Highly recommend this place. Heard that the beef goulash is delicious .. can't wait to try it.

Yelp
Cute little restaurant. Mainly for takeout, but they have a couple of small tables. We tried several different dishes, and they were all fantastic. And the prices are extremely reasonable.

Yelp
Wow! The cevapi made me feel back in my country! Order large portion of cevapi which comes with 10 meatballs, diced onions and homemade red pepper sauce. Highly recommended!!

Yelp
I've been wanting to come here for ages. They've been around since 1976 so must be good. And they are. Their cevapi meal with seasoned beef, fresh onions, ajvar and home made pita bread was excellent. Also bought a jar of their Makedonsko oro ajvar to take home. A delicious taste of the Balkans. And they take credit cards.
