The 33 Best Restaurants in Zurich, Switzerland | Eater

"On a quiet street a few minutes outside of Zurich’s busy center, Sarajevska Ćevabdžinica serves up fresh Bosnian food, covering both homey classics and street food. While there is a chalk menu above the cashier, along with a beer menu, take a look at the glass cabinets below, where there are platters of borek and clay tureens of beans and kebap in red sauces. Take your pick and the staff will put your selection into the oven. The borek is flaky on the outside, but soft and pillowy on the inside; it comes most often filled with cheese, but the restaurant has potato and sometimes spinach varieties, too. If you order one of the clay tureens, ask for a roll of bread, which is ideal for scooping up velvety beans; the dough rests behind the counter just waiting for the staff to slide it into the oven." - N.A. Never again. I managed to find food here in the past. But today’s experience was worth writing a review for. Asked for salad, ended with white cabbage. Not even the leaves but the hardest parts of the cabbage. Asked for spinach borek. It was dry, tasteless and mostly bread. Asked for yogurt. What came was yogurt blended with water which cannot qualify as Ayran. Balkan place with no yogurt in their kitchen, but they have some in the kitchen to water it down to sell it as a drink. Forks were dirty. There was a dirty glass left on my table from the previous client, I was disgusted while eating. Paid 20chf for food that Migros already serves for 6chf and fresher. Only worker there was a lady. Smoking with her friends outside that I had to walk up to get her attention for 2 occasions. Lousiest service ever. Never again.

Every bite of Burek at Sarajevska Ćevabdžinica takes me back to the streets and flavors of the Balkans. For me it's not just food; it's a place where I can travel without travelling. 🥐🚀 Here, I don't just satisfy my cravings for authentic Burek; I immerse myself in a cultural heaven where I get to practice my Serbian with such a sweet and beautiful soul - the owner! Their warmth and hospitality make every visit extra special. 💖🗣️ And let's talk about the coffee - "domaća kava" - my absolute favourite in the entire world. It's the perfect companion to the savory Burek, making every sip and bite a moment to cherish. ☕️❤️ If you're looking to experience genuine Balkan hospitality, unmatched flavors, and a place where every visit feels like coming home, then you know where to go.

We had 2 portion of Cevapcici, it was good and tasty. I had the normal cevapcici and my girlfriend choose the flat meat (like a thin burger), we also had a salad with cucumber and feta. They gave us ayvar onion and yogurt sauce for the sandwich. The yogurt sauce was not enough for 2 sandwiches. But I would still recommend this place as the meat was excellent!

Tasty and satisfying 😋 We took goulash soup, meat was super tender. Burek as expected, unfortunately, they run out of meat and cheese burek and we had potato and spinach ones. They were still good, just not our favorite fillings 🤗

Eat Cevapcici, Burek & Šopska salat like in Sarajevo. Really recommend this place as a Bosnian Restaurant. Perfect, fresh and especially authentic. 🇧🇦

Best cevapi I've had outside of (and even in for some places) the Balkans! Very friendly staff and refreshing prices when compared with other restaurants in Zürich. I highly recommend this place.

The best cevapcici and also all the food is just excellent. One of the best Zurich. The owner is very hospitable, providing not just tasty food but warm and nice atmosphere. Highly recommend!

This place is amazing! The food is very tasty and fresh and the owner is super nice! We usually came here for Dinner when we picked up the skis (from the ski rental) or when we dropped them off. It's been great every time. Sometimes we also take food for the next day. The börek and the cevapcici are really really good.
