Missing the Real indian Taste Visited Saravana Bhavan Muteena last night expecting that authentic south indian flavour, but it didn’t quite match up. We ordered Veg Noodles, Ghee Masala Dosa, Idly set, and Paneer 65 Biryani. Veg Noodles were totally bland, no salt or flavour. Idly was okay, but chutney and sambar were far below average even small Tamil Nadu shops do it better. Ghee Masala Dosa was the only standout, crispy and tasty, but again chutney and sambar pulled it down. Paneer 65 Biryani was disappointing and not even close to a real biryani. On the positive side, friendly staff, nice ambience, and free parking. The bill came around 80 AED, which felt overpriced for this quality. Hope they bring back the original style taste soon.

My favorite SB branch alongside Barsha & Karama branches. SB serves the best veg food in the UAE. Period. No discussions on this topic. I am saying this having eaten at each and every big and small veg restaurant or outlet in the UAE. The taste, hygiene (open kitchen) and quality at SB is unmatched in the UAE. The only downside is their very basic serving style (old styled dishes with no oomph factor) and their very basic ambience (again very old styled dated ambience). But for people like me who are more concerned with what we eat we choose to ignore these points. Having said that the management can surely improve in this space if they want larger crowd being pulled in.

Hi, I just wanted to share some feedback. The food was really delicious and I truly appreciate the quality and taste—it was excellent! However, I was a bit disappointed with the way the order was taken over the phone/by the delivery staff. The attitude felt a little rude and unwelcoming. I believe good customer service is just as important as good food. I’m sharing this not to complain harshly, but just to kindly suggest that staff could be trained to communicate with customers in a more polite and respectful manner. It would really enhance the overall experience. Thank you and looking forward to ordering again.

While entering the restaurant you feel so low as all the staffs looks tired , the north thali we ordered was expensive as compare to best thali around as the chapathi was not cooked well , the curries were okay and soup was okay as well - not something to recommend to eat

My man brought me this place for the first time, the place is spacious, the staff are accommodating, and most especially THE FOOOOOOOOOD, as I am not a fan of spicy and first time to eat different varieties of South Indian delicacies, IT WAS SO GOOD TASTE and PERFECT! To wrap it with perfect special tea 🤎 amazing! #Ghee Roast Dosa & Big Tali 🫡

Visited HSB for lunch and am very impressed. The food, each item, in the meals was very tasty and the service was fantastic. The staff were always nearby asking for more rice or sambar or curd etc.

Stepped in for breakfast had mini tiffin and coffee Dosa one idly vada Pongal and Kesari charging 19 dhs was a good deal but my coffee was charged separately 9 dhs which was not expected 😞as other outlets serving mini tiffin has coffee along the mini tiffin . Coffee was good hot strong and as per instructions less sugar. They also have lot of savouries and sweets for sale . Open kitchen which was neat staff clean tidy and happy faces

Authentic Saravana Bhavan taste is not compromised here. They kept the expectations. 1. Masala dosha - (4/5) Crisp and fine dosha with little bit masala along with chutney and sambar. Actually they've reduced the size of the dosha so in order to fill your tummy you may be required to order something else as well. 2. Vada sambar - (5/5) No words. Crisp and clear 3. Fried Chilli porotta -(4/5) It was fine, the salad that they serve is also good. 4. Filter coffee - (0/5) It tasted yuck so not recommended and it's very pricy too. 5. Jalebi - (4/5) It was yummy yum. 6. Poori - (3.5/5) It was good, but the poori will become hard if you not consume it soon. 7. Pani puri - (0/5) Too bad. Customer service was good
