Cava Is Acquiring Another Mediterranean Fast-Casual Chain | Eater DC

"Opening its first Virginia locations, Sari’s Pollo a la Brasa will debut one spot at Alexandria’s Shops at Mark Center (1480 N Beauregard Street) in the former Noodles and Company space and another about a 10-minute drive north at Bailey’s Crossroads, with both locations reported to be expected to debut December 1. The Beltsville-born chain started about a decade ago and focuses on rotisserie chicken, sides and sauces, along with offerings like lamb chops and steak, and it is seeking more Northern Virginia sites (3,000–3,600 sq ft) with outdoor seating." - Adele Chapin

So, let me just say the food was top tier! I was super impressed with the flavor and love you could feel went into the preparation. The pupusa was so good, and the power bowl knocked it out of the park. Now, the service was SLOW. Kind people… but slow. It took 27 minutes to receive my food, and there were only a few people being served at that time. That was super frustrating to me, but the food was great! Was it worth the wait? Not sure.

Third time in as many months in which I’ve ordered and the order hasn’t been ready at the estimated time. I understand things happen but, I asked the servers at this establishment when my food would be ready and they told me 5 minutes. I waited for 45 minutes for my meal to be completed only to find out that the last item was the dark chicken. 4 people came through while I waited with my family and ordered and received their chicken and as I waited the servers would look and laugh at me waiting numerous times.

Chicken and everything in front of you is good, just don’t order anything from back of kitchen because it will take forever. Consistently takes 15+ minutes extra even for something like a single pupusa.

Disappointed with Recent Visit – Poor Service and Incorrect Order I've been to Sardi's many times to order lunch, and most of the time I've received the correct takeout order without issues. However, this past Friday was a completely different and disappointing experience. When I arrived, I was assisted by two male staff members—one was handling the chicken, and the other was serving the sides. I politely asked if they could put the rice and beans in a separate container so they wouldn’t get mixed with the chicken. The man immediately said no. I asked again, nicely, and instead of helping, they spoke to each other in a dismissive tone and gave me a very small portion of rice and beans in a tiny white plastic container—something more suited for a dipping sauce or a child's side, definitely not for a regular meal. When I got to the register, the cashier looked surprised when she saw how small the container was. She glanced over at the two male employees but said nothing. It was clear she knew something wasn’t right. She should have corrected the issue right there but chose not to. Only as I was walking out did I hear her ask the two men why they had done that. It’s disappointing that they didn’t serve the order correctly, especially when I ordered in Spanish—what would have happened if I had ordered in English? This experience really left a bad impression, and sadly, I think I’ll be staying away from this Sardi’s location. I’ll be looking for another rotisserie chicken place that actually respects the customer's request and serves the order right. Comment coming soon

We ordered the steak quesadilla and it didn't have any flavor. The chopped salad that came with it without any dressing. I can make a better quesadilla than this one. I am very disappointed. The only good thing here is the rotisserie chicken. I am afraid of ordering anything else here because they aren't cheap and I prefer to order what I know is good. If you are reading this, order only the chicken and if the owners are reading this, do better.

I had the July Special, it was good! The price was a little high in my opinion since half of my plate was broccoli and rice (not expensive ingredients). The place has sitting areas and it’s located at a plaza so there is free parking

We ordered half a chicken and chicken tenders and the server explained it would take between 5-10 minutes to cook the chicken tenders. When we arrived at the counter, we walked to the counter to pay, we were told the wait time on the chicken tenders would be 10-15 minutes. The chicken tenders took 30 minutes, I asked for sauce and the lady at the counter said they don’t usually give sauce with the tenders and I was surprised…the least she could’ve done after my 30 minute wait was give me a couple of sauces. When I looked around, although the restaurant was filled with minorities, I noticed that we were the only African American patrons in the restaurant at that time. The food was good, but I will never go back to this location.

I ordered half chicken an this is what I got (2 legs the part I usually don’t eat). I called and no one picking up the call. Be careful of this scam. Half chicken is not 2 legs
