This Yelp post was for a first time visit back on 7/1/22. And yes, it was a long haul from Shoreline, north of Seattle! The Homie and I were here in the Puyallup/South Hill/Sumner area for a later family lunch get together. We had enough time to detour and check out this family-run indie business, Sari-Sari Store.
Popular spot on a Friday mid-morning before the 4th of July holiday weekend. Parking can be a bit tight with a lot of in/out traffic. Once we entered, we were greeted and felt welcomed. They have a lot of merch, produce, baked goods, sundries, canned goods, frozen items like most Fil/FilAm shops.
However, I did notice that it was well stocked, carefully curated, organized, and wow plentiful fresh and refrigerated produce! We made sure to cover each aisle and found quite a lot of variety and decent prices. Pretty much any ingredient or item you need to do any cooking, baking, or snacking - Sari-Sari Store has it covered! Well situated and probably helpful in a pinch without having to trek to other Asian shops in Lakewood, Federal Way, or Kent.
We ended up with Filipino branded beverages, Tocino flavored peanuts, a spicy condiment, and some really tasty addictive snacks from Malaysia and Thailand too.
Terrific find and definitely recommended!
