"Sariiling Atin is first and foremost a Filipino grocery store - but there’s also a cafeteria-style counter in the back with simmering mung bean stews, pancit noodles, and crispy lechon kawali. We suggest getting a combo meal, which costs between $5-$11 and comes with your choice of one-to-three entrees plus a side of rice or noodles. Focus on the rich pork adobo to-go, or hang out in their designated dining area. Either way, make sure you pick up some Filipino snacks like Ding Dongs or Squidees on your way out." - Hannah Albertine

Got catering from here. No care in the preparation of the meats and it ruined the experience and taste of the dishes. It was embarrassing to have their food served to my guests. The price was more affordable compared to others but lesson learned; you get what you paid for. Would not recommend to get catering from here. Spend more and get catering from somewhere else; it'll be worth it. Poor representation of Filipino food.

Absolutely horrible store. The staff is incredibly unfriendly and unwelcoming. I went buy a kabob and the the woman behind the counter saw me and walked away. The cashier might as well have snarled at me, she seemed so pissed that I was paying for my items. I said "thank you, have a good day" and she literally raised her eyebrows and rolled her eyes. Everything in this store is overpriced, dusty and gross. There are plenty of better stores in walking distance . The previously mentioned kabob is also doing cartwheels in my stomach.

The prices at this store are a lot higher than other nearby stores. I went there just for 1 item that i need. Your credit card will not be accepted when you purchased bellow $10 which is illegal. I handed the cashier $20 cash then the cashier told me she do not have change. I told her that you should always be ready with your loose lower dollar bills as a cashier. Not you are busy on your phone. I highly do not recomend coming to this store. Thier product prices are rediculously high.

They are charging a lot more than the price stated on the item. I was buying a Martin’s Purefoods hotdogs & the price marked on the shelf is $6.35, when I was paying the elderly cashier in the food section was charging me $8.55. I told her that it was not the price but she insisted on the higher price claiming that the price”wasn’t changed yet.” This is a very bad business practice & actually is deceiving customers of the rightful price which are marked on the shelves…very very practice especially at this time of pandemic where people are trying to save some precious money to get by…😡😡😡

Me and my husband always there every week until last week when I ordered 100 pcs of lumpia and turon for me to bring in a birthday party. When I came they just said they forgot to cook….OMG…sooo sad…They are nice but negligence is totally NOT acceptable so I went to a party empty handeD …SHAME! im so disappointed.

Honestly, a good store if you would like Filipino-Asian grocery items, but I did have a bad experience with them. Ordered a tray of 100 lumpia to pick up to take to work for my coworkers, and when I got there and completely forgot to make my tray. The lack of service recovery that followed was sad, to say the least. At least offer something else or give a discount if you completely forget to make an order. Disappointment.

Went to the store 10 minutes before closing and they would not let me buy, even though I only wanted to buy ONE THING. It would have taken 1 minute to pay but they said no and made me leave. I came in around 3:50 but they are supposed to close at 4PM Sunday. And I came right after work. HORRIBLE!

Yelp
I was gonna buy 10 chicken/pork bbq sticks here when the lady just sneezed 2 times without hesitation and not covering her mouth in front of the bbq tray and I said damm !!! Wtf !!! I just look at her she just continued to whatever she's doin..... eeeewww !!!!!! Since then I never bought any hot food there anymore which is I usually don't except there bbq sticks.......unbelievable !!!!

Yelp
Cooked food quality has really went down in this store. I bought a container of "dinuguan". As the server was filling the container, I noticed that the dish has got big chunks of meat in it. The real "dinuguan" has only small cubes of pork meat in it. It turns out that the big chunks of meat in the dinuguan is the left over meat dishes left unsold, because i can taste barbecued meat (pork/chicken), beef mechado, pork adobo in it. Never again will I buy cooked food at Sariling atin store...

Yelp
Food has better selections now than before, more grocery supplies and products now, adding 1 star for them.

Yelp
I was there at 6:50 pm ..they were closed..I spoke with that I'm catching them..they don't care about the customer...they are not bad in customer service

Yelp
Eng bee tin ube flavor Nagulat ako kasi $6 something isa, so nagtanong ako bakit $6 sometime ung habang yung ibang flavor is $3 something lang. dahil special daw at mabili. So nag bayad nalang din ako..the. Daan ako sa American pinoy, mag kalapit lang, boom! Pag check ko pareho lahat ung price nga eng bee tin, kahit na anung flavor, OVER PRICING = LOSING A CUSTOMER

Yelp
Dirty location. The cooked food look so unappealing. I ordered a combo for $7.50, the very u friendly woman charged me $8. I asked why, she said prices went up. I said why you posted a different price, she sad oh yes we should change that. The frozen display section looks like a dump of chopped frozen fish that are freezer burnt- it's disgusting. Never going back here.

Yelp
Products are overpriced. Our credit card will not be accepted bellow $10. Cashier always on the phone.

Yelp
BEWARE ! Broad daylight robbery &@%$ This happened to us twice. They rung twice the prices for the stuffs you purchased. DOUBLE CHECK the receipts before you go. Each time, we were the only ones at the cash register. I am suspicious if the owners tolerate these grumpy and bad PR employees. BTW, their prices are way, way up there. So expensive.

Yelp
I would not even give one star but I have to speak up. 2 women workers here blantantly lied about products and did not help at the cooked foods section. There are so many other Filipino places that have quality products at more competitive pricing AND genuine service, people who go above and beyond which adds to why we shop at these Filipino markets. It's a shame the lack of quality and integrity certain employees have here. Someone needs to talk to their workers, if management in this place even exists... Will be bringing my business to the other Filipino markets with great service and products

Jeff A.

Yelp
So F***ng expensive. Everything here is overpriced!! I bought a long beans for $6/lb.. i was shock!! Almost gave me an heart attack! Go to 99 Ranch people. This store will rip you off. Compare to H-Mart.. You'll be the judge..

Hughie G.

Yelp
Let me start this review with a HELLLOOOO 8$ for a combo... NAPAKA MAHAL PO NAMAN, I understand if the food is amazing, but its not even there. NDI MASARAP, My question is WHY IS IT TOO EXPENSIVE. Well its ur business so run it how you want it, GOOD LUCK

Marissa O.

Yelp
Bought some pandesal here, so disappointed to find out when I got home that it's old and moldy. They should get rid of old bread.

Yelp
We have been hoping a new Filipino store would reopen here, and we are very happy to have RJ Sariling Atin. The store is clean and well-maintained. Items are easy to find, and there is a great selection of foods to choose from. Their hot food section is excellent (thus far, I've tried the empanadas, dinuguan, pork sisig, lumpia, caldereta... and so far, so good!). There is a wide selection of hot food, and the service area is clean and sanitary. There is also a grill section that I have not yet tried. Hopefully the store stays around for a long time... I definitely recommend stopping by.

Yelp
BLATANT ROBBERY. They charged us TWICE for items we didn't order. The cashier deliberately rang in items like a vague 'Veggie' and 'Meat' when we never bought anything as such. Called to have it fixed but they never issued a refund or amended the credit card charge. We think this is a modus operandi by the staff based on other people's experiences with them. It's disgusting how these people treat their own fellow countrymen -- this has never happened to my family before. Will never buy from here again and will be telling everyone to STAY AWAY.

Yelp
I was very disappointed withthe palabok i ordered on Christmas eve. I requested the small noodles like the red ribbon and paid $32.00 for the tray but when i got it i was so upset to see the noodles very very dry w/ no sauce w/ a few hard boiled egg slices . I called the store to ask if they have palabok sauce, chicharon flakes and tinapa flakes and the lady owner said they do and i told her about it and she just said ok... no apologies or offer to fix it. I went to buy the stuff i mentioned and the cashier said to add more cuz i did not meet the amoint to pay w/ a crediy cardthen i said i will never order from them again and he just shrugged his shoulders to give me the impression he does not care. Very bad experience for a store that just opened.

Yelp
This place when they first opened was great, their cooked food was good. They gave good portions and their bbq didn't have so much fat. And the workers were all smiles. Now portions are much smaller, bbq is almost all fat. I dont mind paying the high prices for their food but now it's not worth it. Their combos can cost as much as 8-9 dollars. I dont go there anymore, I guess nothing last. Asian American is much better, the only thing is that they dont have bbq.

Henry F.

Yelp
What I love about this store is the free grill service they offer. You pay for the fish & they grill it for you while you wait. Nowhere in NJ can you find a store that does this ever!
