The original Lee family restaurant still draws loyalists for galbi, dolsot bibimbap, and soulful stews. Praised by local food writers for years, it remains one of Tampa’s longest-running Korean kitchens and a dependable stop for marinated BBQ meats from the kitchen.

Excellent food. I got the bulgogi pork lunch box and it was extremely filling. A lot of meat and not a ton of rice, which I appreciate. My cousins loved their bibimbap and soup cold noodles. Great service too, as the ladies working checked up on our table often.

Google
This place is so home-ie and nostalgic! This food is AMAZING. Fr, best korean food ive ever had in the states. The servers are amazing and rushing to get your order fast! Huge menu and gives a big array of sides. 10000% recommend.

I came in craving extra extra extra dipping sauce for my Korean pork belly wrap — and then suddenly remembered… there’s someone else, who always gave me extra extra extra everything, without me ever having to ask. Not here. Not today. Just a quiet memory of a place that somehow still feels like home. Maybe there are still people in this world who’d treat me this kindly. But someone who does it quietly, without much word, and always just right… Can there really be a second one like that? 🥹🥢✨ Thank you for the little things. They never go unnoticed.

Google
One of the best Korean spots I've eaten at! We had the beef bulgogi, kimchi pancake, and kimchi mandu. The portions were very generous and the price was very fair. We left with a ton of leftovers that the waitress very helpful packed up for us. I highly recommend it if you are nearby and want great Korean food!

Google
I live in NYC, we have incredible Korean restaurants and even across the river in Fort Lee. This place was impressive. It was the best seafood pajeon I've ever had and the Bo Ssam was excellent 👌. The kimchi is homemade as well and memorably good. I will 100% come back here if in town.

Google
My favorite Korean food place. Always ordering Jajangmyeon, so good. Average prices, very friendly service, cute sitting area. I like all their little free appetizers.

Google
A great place for Korean food! The ja jang myun was exceptional. The sauce was delicious and had a great consistency. The toppings were fresh and well seasoned. The noodles were great. The crispy pork with sweet and sour sauce paired excellently with the ja jang myun. The service was great and the place has a nice old school charm to it. Would recommend!

Yelp
Still the best Korean food in Tampa. My wife and I both got the Dol Stot Bimibop again and it was amazing. We got to the restaurant about 6pm on a Saturday night and when we left the places was filled and a Lin to get in. Get there early!

Yelp
I'm not from the area but my friend and I saw the good reviews and wanted to try it. Inside is quite narrow and it looks like there isn't much seating at first glance, but there is an additional dining space in the back with much more seating. The food was a bit lacking -- I got a chicken katsu, while my friend got the jajangmyun. While the flavor of the katsu was good, the chicken itself was quite tough. Biting through the meat was a struggle in itself. We also shared the vegetable dumplings, which were delicious; it was had the perfect crispiness to it. While it is labeled as "vegetable," it's more of a glass noodle stuffed dumpling, but it's tasty regardless. I also really enjoyed the banchan. My only caveat besides the toughness of the chicken is that sometimes I would get whiffs of the restroom in the back seating area. It's also not well circulated so the heat made it uncomfortably warm. Otherwise, my experience here was fairly decent, hopefully I'll have the opportunity to go again and try something else!

Yelp
Real old school feel. Nothing fancy or spectacular. The tofu soup was a bit bland and lacking deep flavor. The side dishes were fine. They limit you to only two plates for your refill. Parking lot with multiple spots. Many different sections as you walk throughout the maze

Yelp
We ordered several entrees and loved them, especially the galbi beef and beef bul go ki. The waitresses were so nice, and the prices are right

Yelp
Yes please! Love everything about this place, great food, fantastic service, generous portions. Small and cozy inside in the best way.

Yelp
After a relaxing day trip to siesta beach, my exquisite partner and I decided to try Sa Ri One as it was recommended to her. I must admit the location looks sketchy; especially at night. It's off the main road, and is literally next to an overhead pass, while the outside looks like a temporary trailer home. I'm not sure if they wanted to create an at home vibe, but that's exactly how it felt. When we were seated, we felt like we were being guided through someone house to a large back room where there are a number of tables. The staff were super friendly and answered our menu questions without any hassle. We discussed what dishes we wanted, and my beautiful dinner date placed the order: Gal Bi Beef, Tok Bok Gi, and Jaeng Ban Ja Jang. We waited for a few minutes and the Tob Bok Gi was the first to honor table. It was exactly as you expect with a little kick in the sauce. Not sure if I'm a fan of a whole hard boiled egg in there though. The Gal Bi Beef order came out next. Everyone knows this is a staple for KBBQ, and we found them a little sweet, but excellent. Should be warned that we did notice a few pieces that were basically all fat. This dish does have a bowl of white rice included. The last dish to come out was the Jaeng Ban Ja Jang. This dish was near perfect. The black bean sauce was delicious and mixed with the noodles well. There was also a ton of topping; from what appeared to be never ending zucchini pieces with scattered pieces of squid and shrimp in the sauce. Overall, I would recommend anyone in the area looking for some pretty good Korean food, to come by.

Yelp
We have visit this restaurant before yelp. We know this restaurant long time ago and visited several time. This will be the first time we give them a review. Base on our previous experience, we feel their previous bounchon is better especially the fish cake and bean sprouts. May be more sesame oil in the tapas. We got the Galbi lunch special. The amount of Galbi is in good number of pieces. Love it. My wife got the chicken katsu. Not bad either. The lunch box comes with accompany salad, rice, fried gyoza, potato pie. Overall is still good place for lunch. Definitely worth for revisit.

Yelp
My wife has a genuine fondness for Korean cuisine and absolutely adores this restaurant. The restaurant is situated on its own lot close to Interstate I75, with no other establishments nearby. Ample parking is available in the vicinity of the restaurant, and there is an abundance of seating available indoors. Upon entering the restaurant, one may perceive it as diminutive due to its compartmentalized layout; however, it actually features three or four distinct rooms available for seating. In recent years, prices have increased, though this seems to be a common trend everywhere. The servings are ample, allowing for the possibility to create two meals from a single order, unless you are a hearty eater or find the food so delectable that you simply cannot resist consuming it all. The dishes I typically choose are usually the Galbi Beef, which consists of beef short ribs, or the Bul Go Ki Beef, made from thinly sliced beef. Typically, my wife selects the Bul Go Ki Pork, which consists of thinly sliced pork. I ordered the Bul Go Ki Beet on this most recent occasion. A side of white rice accompanies these plates. There are also a few small complimentary dishes provided, although I choose not to indulge in them. The flavors of the food are quite remarkable. The employees are extremely welcoming and efficient. Previously, I would request their fried rice; however, during my last two orders, I found the taste to be quite disappointing, which led me to discontinue ordering it. Perhaps the issue lies with the chef's performance during those occasions, but for the moment, I will focus solely on the dishes mentioned above. This is certainly something you should experience.

Yelp
This place is a hidden gem. My husband and I ate here for lunch today and ordered the bulgogi bowl, kimchi pancake, and Bul Go Ki Beef. All were really delicious. We also ordered the blackberry wine, which was surprisingly not too sweet and was very smooth. Service was very quick and friendly. We'll be back again. Thank you!

Yelp
SO GOOD, As someone who's been to Korea and tasted the food this place is no joke!!! It has to be the closest to authentic in America. The service is great and fast! The ambiance might seem small at first but it's super charming!
google avatar

Hannah A.

Yelp
Stopped here today for their lunch special!! They offer a "lunch box" meal, where you can pick what kind of protein you want. I got chicken katsu and it was delicious. Immediately walking in we were seated and given water and miso soup. Our server was super sweet and attentive. Service was super quick!!

Anya S.

Yelp
Worst service I've gotten ever! The waitress would start to take our order then get distracted by another employee and run off - that happened 3 times. Then finally took the order, brought a wrong dish and an extra dish that we didn't order. Food was ok. My child sent an item back because the meat was chewy, she reprimanded him for not ordering "carefully, because now they have to throw food away." She never checked on us, never, not once refilled our drinks. I've been to this place twice today - the first time and the last time!

Yelp
As a big fan of jjajangmyeon, I've been on the hunt for a good spot in Tampa Bay since moving here. I've had the real thing in Korea and in Duluth, GA (which has the second-highest Korean population in the US after LA), so my standards are high. Sa Ri One Korean Restaurant has the best jjajangmyeon I've found so far in the area! The black bean sauce is the perfect consistence - not too thick, not too thin - and the veggies were not mushy. I also tried the tang su yook, the typical pair to jjajangmyeon, but it wasn't quite up to par. The batter wasn't as crispy as I've had elsewhere, and the sweet and sour sauce could have used a bit more punch--it was lacking in both sweetness and tang. The banchan wasn't the freshest I've had, and the Korean fried chicken had a bit too much breading compared to the chicken itself. Despite these small disappointments, I'm giving 4 stars because I'll definitely be back for the jjajangmyeon! Plus, I'm looking forward to trying more items from their extensive menu--it's tough to nail everything with so many options. The service was great, and the inside was cozy and clean, making it a welcoming spot to enjoy a meal.

Yelp
It's a family run restaurant with nice service, I really wish I could love it but sadly it was one of the worst Korean dinner I've had in many years. Starting with the good: They offer a nice variety of ban chans, and the food arrives quickly in generous portion. Unfortunately the quality of food is rather lacking. The BBQ meat we had was chewy. Likewise the squid in the seafood pancake. I was excited to find Jjamppong, a spicy seafood noodle soup, on the menu, but it tasted like the chef forgot to add the other condiments after a generous dose of chili paste. It was just one dimensional hot with no flavor. It is seriously the worst sample of jjamppong I've ever had. I'd rather eat a pack of instant noodles over this.

Yelp
Sa Ri One is my favorite place to get authentic Korean food in Tampa. The restaurant has a really interesting/cute layout and you almost feel like you've been transported elsewhere! I love their banchan (they refill upon request which is very nice), especially their kimchi, seasoned soybean sprouts, and seasoned spinach. The servers are very quick and always polite. My favorite item is the dolsot bulgogi bibimbap. I love all of the veggies and the thinly sliced beef. The rice gets very crispy on the bottom and is SO delicious when you mix it with the sauce that they bring to the table. So flavorful and I love to mix in the banchan as well. The sundubu jigae with beef is also a nice choice. I typically love sundubu jigae with kimchi, but I decided to get the beef version and add in the kimchi that comes with the banchan; it was perfect! Overall, have been here twice and loved it both times. Definitely recommend for authentic, comforting Korean staples.

Yelp
We don't have the highest expectations from a Tampa area Korean restaurant, but Sa Ri One was a reasonably good version of authenticity. Dolsot bibimbap was good, but the naengmyun noodles for mine (bibim) and my son's (mool) were overcooked. The haemool pajeon (pancake) was also a little thick (too much batter) for my liking. The very Japanese tempura shrimp appetizer was done right. Prices are a little inflated in my opinion. Perhaps because there aren't many Korean options in the area. In a funny exchange, the server asked if we were from out of town, to which we replied that we were. She jokingly remarked that she'd see us again tomorrow. Considering the dearth of options, she could be right.

Yelp
Don't miss out on this hole in the wall restaurant! The portions were huge. They immediately served us snacks and water. The dumplings were great and food came out as it was ready so we were never waiting long.

Yelp
My wife and I recently visited Seoul, South Korea. While there, we ate at a Korean BBQ for the first time. We were impressed, so we tried one in the States. Our server was Josh, who patiently guided us through everything we needed to know. His recommendations were spot on. The food was amazing! There was too much food. The spices were just right. Sa Ri One surpassed the restaurant we ate at in South Korea. We don't live in Tampa, but we will return. The ambiance wasn't the best, but it wasn't terrible. The prices are quite reasonable. If you go, ask Josh to serve you.

Yelp
Good food - ok service - family friendly. I love the dumplings / Galbi / sauce / Kim Chi / Black Bean Noodles... Noise level can be moderate to high. Overall authentic Korean food !!!
google avatar

Ngoc L.

Yelp
The food is authentic and tasted wonderful. I have a Korean friend that approved this place. They recently updated their system, so now there is a digital menu at every table with food illustrations, making ordering super easy and fast. Order barley tea to take in the more of the Korean authenticity. Lightning is a bit dim, making it feel like you're really walking into a Korean home. there is plenty of parking spaces as well. highly recommend!
google avatar

Kelvin M.

Yelp
The best Korean restaurant I've ever been to. You get a lot for your money. Flavor is fantastic and service is good. I moved away five years ago so I really missed this place because I haven't found a Korean restaurant compatible. They set the bar.
google avatar

Jonathan C.

Yelp
If you love Korean BBQ you're already know about the famous Sarione. If not you're in for a treat. This is a typical Korean BBQ experience. Your meal is served with small side dishes. They all are yummy and help balance each other and the meal. There is no cooking at the table. They bring everything already prepared on rolling carts. Personally I prefer the restaurant to do the cooking than table side. If you are sensitive to spicy, double check the menu or ask a server. A couple quick go toos, jop Chae and beef short rib Galbi. You can't go wrong with those. Enjoy the food and experience!
google avatar

Ezgilibirisi ..

Yelp
Best kimchi soup ever trust me. No cutting corners, no watering down kimchi, no cutting back on the meat. This kimchi soup is loaded!!! They put such a good cut of pork too, good amount of protein. Definitely worth the premium price.

Yelp
We had lunch here today, food was very good. Prices are reasonable for the portions you receive. Highly recommend.

Yelp
One of my favorite Korean restaurants. The food is really authentic and everything I have gotten has been perfect. I always get the kalbi beef, soon du bu (seafood soup), and the seafood pancake extra crispy. Also love the Mandu dumplings steam or fried. Love the ban chan (side dishes). Service is always friendly and attentive.
google avatar

Yelp
GET THE DOLSOT bibimbap! Super fresh and tasty!! In general, the service is super fast. The place is very clean and the waiters are polite and kind all the free appetizers that they bring before the food are amazing 10 out of 10.
google avatar

Adam K.

Yelp
We don't have a lot of choices when it comes to Korean food in Tampa so I'm very glad this is one of them. Been coming here for about 5 years now and it's always enjoyable. Plus reasonable price for all the banchan they serve up.
google avatar

Robin K.

Yelp
I've tried this place twice in the past month but the quality of the food isn't as good as before. Service was decent, our server never came back to refill our drinks. We always get the same thing.. japchae, beef gal-bi and gang jung. Aside from Japchae, everything else was just ok. Gal-bi was very chewy and gang jung was not crispy at all. Overall we gave it 2 tries, spend over $80 each time and both times were meh. Time to find a new Korean place.
google avatar

Karen S.

Yelp
Service was great, she was kind and helped explain the menu. Cute dive, what you would expect from a longtime Florida Food was 5* short ribs 3.75* bim bop bowl 3* kimchi dumplings (very spicy!) 2* meat dumplings 4* meat soup 5* bam jam kaam (lol whatever the nibbles you get before the meal or to top your meal?) they all tasted yum to me. It was curious how the Kimchi in the dumpling was so much spicier than the little pre meal dishes I have been wanting to try this place for many years - now I can check it off the list
google avatar

Angela L.

Yelp
Service was super fast. We were large party and the table and staff were ready to take care of us! The room was cool with lots of AC units going. This was our first time having Korean or trying this restaurant. They serve all these little shareable veggies and steamed rice to everyone before your dish comes out which doesn't take long! My only complaint about the veggie tempura is they don't list which veggies are used so I don't know what all I ate.
google avatar

Aurora H.

Yelp
Best Korean food ever! Went here for lunch. Busy inside but great fast & friendly service. The booths are very spacious. Ambience was ok. The food is a must to try if you asian style!

Yelp
Located right by the freeway bridge. It's across from the Prime Storage facility. It's a small spot, quite cozy. We were seated at a booth and the light is oddly not centered. My head kept hitting it as I leaned in on the table to eat. We ordered the spicy chicken bulgogi and tteokbokki. $39.67 Banchans: kimchi, cucumber kimchi, fish cake, spinach, hot green pepper and anchovies and bean sprouts. Banchans were okay. The table next to is gets 7 banchans, must give you more if you get two full meals. The tteokbokki came out too quickly to be a fresh batch made especially for us. The rice cakes are a bit too soggy and soft to us. It has good spicy flavor at least. Needs to be made fresh, so the rice cakes are still nice and chewy. There's an odd stench in the restaurant, messes with the eating experience. The spicy chicken bulgogi was tender and spicy and quite flavorful too. Service was good, warm and friendly.
google avatar

Andrea S.

Yelp
I wanted to like this place so much but my tastes fell flat. I would honestly give this place like 3.7 stars. The seafood pancake didn't taste like much sadly and neither did my beef soup. However my friend's stew was amazing she said, it was a beef stew that was pleasantly spicy. I would need to come back and try more options next time. The inside is adorable though and the staff were very sweet.

Yelp
We had those Korean dishes yesterday, and it was fantastic! The flavors were rich and authentic, and the portion size was generous. Definitely a satisfying meal that leaves you full and happy. Sa Ri One Korean restaurant not only offers quick and excellent service but also provides an ambience that truly transports you to Korea. The staff is attentive, and the food arrives promptly, making for a seamless dining experience. The decor and atmosphere are authentic, bringing back fond memories of Korea. A fantastic spot for both the food and the experience!
google avatar

Billy V.

Yelp
Ordered to go and was ready when I arrived. The two ladies who were waitresses as well checked me out quick even though they were busy. The food was steaming hot and fresh. Portion sizes were incredibly good (as expected since it's expensive) they are still generous. Im 200lbs and I could not put a dent into the gal bi. Everything came with rice when I took take out. Honestly the pictures dont do justice but trust me come try this place and you'll be hook. It's authentic as can be. Highly recommend and I'm definitely coming back. Inside is fairly small plenty of parking out front.

Yelp
My favorite K-food spot in Tampa! It's part of my routine to stop by for lunch before heading to the airport. The food is decent and well-seasoned--it's not easy to find places that do soups well, but this place definitely does!
google avatar

Britany B.

Yelp
Have came back twice now with a group of friends and had the absolute best time here! The servers are very friendly, and the food is off the chain!!! This is a very small, family-owned type business - so don't expect anything fancy! But don't get me wrong, it's the perfect restaurant to bring a date, your mom, or a group of friends for lunch or dinner. We started off with a bottle of the Pomegranate wine and fried pork mandu. The mandu were fresh, crispy and savory! They're served with a spicy dumpling sauce, which is delicious. For dinner, we ordered the Bul Ko Gi Beef, fried chicken, and shrimp fried rice. The Bul Ko Gi was incredible!!! It was sweet and tender, and a very generous portion. The fried chicken was also very fresh and crispy! We will certainly be returning back!!!
google avatar

Michelle H.

Yelp
Very authentic Korean restaurant. I had the Gal Bi Beef which is their number one selling item and I can see why! The meat was so delicious and comes with multiple side dishes - rice, fish cakes, kimchi among others. The portion is very large also, it can be shared between two people realistically. The service was good and quick as well. Next time I am craving Korean I will return!
google avatar

Jamie N.

Yelp
Super chill location with fast and friendly service. We ordered a few items from the table and shared everything. My favorite was definitely the short rib!
google avatar

Paulo I.

Yelp
Once I entered I was a bit surprised to see how secluded this place actually is. I'm sure you heard this before, the best food can be found in hole in the wall restaurants, which is true for Sa Ri One Korean. The food was delicious however a bit too greasy for me personally but tastes amazing and authentic especially with all the additional fixings they provide. I did hear that restaurants in Korea use a button on the table to notify their waiter/waitress whenever they want to order or need the check or whatever. I saw that same button on our table so it's cool to see how they implemented that feature. I think this button should be in every restaurant. Overall I really enjoyed the food and I'm definitely planning on going back to try something new on the menu.
google avatar

Mel S.

Yelp
Never had a negative experience here and have been visiting this establishment on and off for years. The photos speak for themselves!

Yelp
Great Korean dishes. Sides are a little average but the Spicy pork is great as well as the Mandu
google avatar

Josh W.

Yelp
I had only been here one other time years and years ago but I could not remember if I liked it or not. To be honest the quality and taste was just ok. I have had better bul go ki beef before and to me that is the highlight of any Korean BBQ spot. The prices are also a little steep but I think it's because they give you giant portions. If there were smaller options available I think I might be more inclined to come here again. Another thing to point out is you cannot make a reservation if you have less than 6 people. So this place is probably better suited for bigger parties and not so much intimate dining experiences. All in all no real complaints. If you are looking for Korean BBQ there aren't too many options in Tampa and this is rated the number one spot.
google avatar

Philip Y.

Yelp
The Banchan were great and tasty which really opens up your appetite. I ordered JuGumi Bokeum (Spicy Stirred Fried Octopus). It was not really spicy and the octopus was hard to chew. Should have ordered squid but I wanted to try the octopus. Avoid this choice of protein.
google avatar

Alexandra N.

Yelp
Amazing food and I even got my sister going and taking her family at least 2-3 times a month......we don't live close
google avatar

Olesya P.

Yelp
Very authentic Korean restaurant! Amazing food! Food is definitely 5 stars! So so good. Korean is one of my favorite cuisines, and I went to many amazing Korean places in NYC, DC and Philly. This one definitely comparable to all those restaurants. Food is amazing. I think they do need to work on the ambiance and interior design. It's definitely beat up and work out. If they would have a nicer interior, and parking lot not with grass but with normal parking spots, this place would be even more popular. Staff members seems exhausted and unhappy to be there. They seemed overworked. I think the owner needs to pay his employees more or hire more employees. I felt bad for those ladies who had to run back and forth like crazy trying to serve everyone.

Nhu P.

Yelp
If I were to recommend you a Korean place that is worth every bucks and great portion and food and service. This is the one that I would highly recommend you try

Yelp
Bulgogi was excellent. Service was very good . Very good atmosphere and ambience. I'll go again when in Tampa.

Yelp
Sa Ri One's food is as good as I remember. The service and seating are consistent since my last visit. The food and flavors are consistent as well. I really enjoyed my meals. plural. HAHA!
