Saroa

I was really excited to try Saroa on a day trip to Lleida, after reading all the exceptional reviews. They have a very reasonably priced lunch menu at €32pp for sharing starters, a main and dessert which we decided to try. The starters were really lovely and very unique, however the seasoning was a little amiss. The freshly baked bread was delicious and fluffy! The mains were a bit disappointing, the cod was quite strong smelling and tasting and personally I didn’t enjoy the combination of flavours, I felt it overpowered the delicate taste of the cod. The chicken was wonderful in taste, the sauce was incredible however the chicken was extremely pink which was very off putting. The main course portion were small in comparison to the starter portions too. The dessert was very tasty and a very generous portion. The staff were lovely but I did find the atmosphere quite bright and cold (not temperature wise), some warmer and lower lights and maybe some ambient music would have helped - it felt quite clinical for us.

Great place that clearly cares about serving locally sourced products. Knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful staff. My wife's Ploma de porc ibèric a la brasa was the best thing I've tasted in 12 years traveling in Spain. Just need to turn the lights down to add atmosphere. We'll be looking for an excuse to stop in Lleida and eat there again. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Worthy of being in the Michelin guide for its elaborately technical food but a little overly contrived for my own personal taste. As part of the 32€ menu we had two gel/ snacks to start with then I had a quite small portion of chicken thigh for mains. Really enjoyed the mint pesto. All very elaborately presented but didn’t feel the flavours combined well.

Very good value for money of the lunch menu. Quality of à la carte dishes even better, one was truely excellent. Very kind staff.

Vam anar a degustar el Menú Salvador i és d’aquells que et fan gaudir de veritat. Des del principi ja veus que cada plat està molt ben pensat: combinacions i sabors sorprenents i una presentació molt creativa. Els plats principals són brutals: coccions al punt i sabors potents però equilibrats. Es nota molt el producte de temporada i la manera com el tracten. Destacar el pà, que t’el porten recent fet i amb oli de la zona que he de dir que es espectacular!! Els postres, boníssims i molt creatius, encara que jo personalment després de tan menjar no m’el vaig poder acabar. El servei és amable, proper i t’expliquen els plats amb cura i passió, cosa que encara fa més rodona l’experiència. En resum: un menú que sorprèn, que omple i que deixa ganes de tornar.

Hemos ido para el menú Aroa degustación, fue un regalo. Hemos disfrutado mucho de la experiencia, camareros super atentos, comida deliciosa con explosión de sabores. Tenemos pendiente volver para probar mas cosas a la carta.
