Sartoria Panatieri - Review - Eixample - Barcelona - The Infatuation

"Sartoria Panatieri has two locations, but we prefer the more central Eixample outpost, set in a converted industrial space with a leafy patio. Their pizza dough is made with hand-milled flour, and covered in seasonal, mostly local ingredients before being baked in a wood-fired oven. There are no bells or whistles to the margherita, but don’t be fooled by its unglamorous appearance. Take a bite and let the red sauce explode in your mouth like a warm tomato bomb. The server says the secret is to roast seasonal tomatoes with garlic and basil before slow cooking them but it sounds almost too simple to be true. The other main reason to come here is the homemade selection of artisanal cheese and charcuteries, the latter of which uses Gascón pork from a nearby farm. You might think a sausage is a sausage, no matter how fancy the pig, but the meats here will really have you debating trying to smuggle a few links back home in your luggage." - Isabelle Kliger

Visited on a Monday night right before open without a reservation. If you are set on having this pizza, definitely do what you can to secure a reservation as the walk in system right at open was a bit hectic. I’ve had my fair share of pizzas from a wide range of spots so I entered here with high expectations based on the awards. I’m also generally skeptical of “best of” awards. Let me tell you, Sartoria Panatieri deserves what they’ve accomplished. This wood fired, Neopolitan style pizza is outstanding. We started with the rosemary focaccia which was so fresh and soft with a nice subtle taste. The two pizzas ordered were the classic Margherita (tomato, basil, and mozzarella) and the spicy chorizo. I loved both. A classic cheese pizza is my baseline to assess a new spot but the spicy chorizo meat itself was spectacular with such good flavor. Lastly, I had read just a few reviews critiquing the service. These pizzas are cooked in wood fired ovens with limited capacity. What I noticed was a strategic operation of when pizza orders are taken, placed, and delivered, based on seating time. For a party of 2, our time was about 75 minutes, I think this is perfectly reasonable. Don’t hesitate coming here for when you desire something other than tapas.

It is perfect. You feel that you have made a correct choice when stepping through the doors. The smell of pizza sets you into the right mood. It is quieter than you would expect, there is more than enough space - it is almost intimate but definitely not pretentious. Walking by the kitchen, I took a quick look at their process. It all felt really well organized and methodical, no chaos. The pizzas were amazing, the ingredients - tasty and probably carefully sourced. Their menu is also great - large enough to make you want to come back, but not so extensive as to make reading through it exhausting. Without exaggeration, this might be my new favorite Neapolitan pizza place in the world.

From start to end, enjoyed my meal here. I was dining solo - and they were able to accommodate me at a “shared” table. The ambiance, music, and on a hot day the perfectly air conditioned space was rejuvenating. As for the food - Delicious! The focaccia bread was perfectly prepared from the texture and lightness, to the hint of rosemary and sea salt. The pizza was also perfectly balanced and appreciated the little crunch the pine nuts gave in a bite. I’m walking away happy and a bit uncomfortably full, to be honest.

One of the best pizzas in Barcelona! I wanted to reserve a table for 1 PM, but it was so full that I didn’t get seated until 3 PM. The wait for the pizza was a bit long, but it was totally worth it. The dough was perfectly done—not too thin, not too thick—and surprisingly light. I highly recommend the Stracciatella with tomato and pesto; it had a great balance of flavors. On the other hand, the pepperoni pizza was a bit too salty for my taste. It’s on the pricier side, but definitely worth it. I’d 100% recommend it!

Very well deserved best pizza of… wherever, doesn’t matter! They have the classics always in menu and they keep rotating some additional unique pizzas with seasonal ingredients. Make a reservation and give it a try.

One of the best pizza I have ever had. Pizza pesto and pizza chorizo both were amazing. Eggplant permiggiano was also tasty. Staff was friendly and easy to communicate. Beers were great too. Thanks for eveything!

If pizza is an art form, Sartoria Panatieri is a masterpiece. This place isn’t just about food, it’s an experience. From the moment you walk in, you're hit with the scent of slow-fermented dough, wood smoke, and something else I can't explain... maybe anticipation? I’ve had pizza around the world, from New York to Naples, and this is easily a top 5 pizza spot I’ve ever visited. The spicy chorizo pizza? Top 3 🍕slice of my life. Perfectly balanced heat, high-quality ingredients, and a dough that tells its own story. The restaurant design feels like you stepped into the set of The Menu: open kitchen, clean lines, surgical precision, and a staff that works like a fine-tuned brigade. It’s clear that every move here is intentional, from how the dough is handled to the way charcuterie and cheeses are made in-house. This isn’t your typical pizza joint. It’s intimate, elevated, and driven by a “farm to pizza” mindset that you can literally taste in every bite. Highly recommend if you want to experience pizza on a completely different level.
