"The compact fine dining restaurant of this venerable establishment – today Hotel Maximilian's – exudes an air of modernity, thanks to its sleek, contemporary design and classically inspired cuisine. In Simon Lang's kitchen, the food is made with top-notch seasonal ingredients, for example "Grilled Black Cod & Green Apple, Veal Sweetbread Slice, Fermented Shallots, Leek Oil". Choose between the six- to eight-course "Menu du Chef" and six-course vegetarian set menu. Attentive service and on-point wine recommendations. Two different wine flights have been devised to pair with the menu. In addition, there is a five-course tasting menu including wine pairing (Wed-Thu). We had the Thursday menu with wine pairing. All courses were excellent and well-presented with local and some fusion flavors, e.g. the Onsen egg with white Alba truffles. Our waiter, Lars Vogel, outdid himself. Well-deserved Michelin star.

We celebrated our anniversary 2 July 2025. We had the summer menu with the wine pairing. From the initial greeting and throughout our stay we had a wonderful time. Each course was excellent in taste, quality of ingredients, and creative presentation. The wines were well chosen, excellent quality and interesting. Food, service and atmosphere deserve 5 stars each. The biggest thank you to Simon Lang's excellent kitchen and service team! They are professional, knowledgeable and competent. We had a wonderful evening and we will be back. Thank you!

Beautiful presentation and amazing food. One star less because of the service. I guess nowadays, especially these kinds of restaurants, have some stuff trouble. Beside that was all as expected!

Quite possibly the best "fine dining" & wine pairings experience ever. The Menu du Chef was excellent & the Vegetarian Menu allowed my wife to make several delightful swap outs. Server/Moderator Tobias had a superb knowledge of both the food & wine, as well as tremendous delivery talents! 👌

The restaurant would warrant at least one more star had the service not taken in excess of 4 hours. Agreed, the 7 course menu takes some time, but the plates are not that large that one needs 15 minutes plus to digest to get another dish. The wine list is extensive and interesting, albeit on the expensive side. It seemed to us, that various tables got an accelerated service - for me not understandable.

So stellt man sich Service, Geschmack und Ambiente vor. Das Sieben Gängemenü mit Weinbegleitung war der absolute Hammer. Das Personal hat wunderbar durch den Abend geführt einfach etwas besonderes.

Ein kleines Restaurant mit sehr stilvollem Ambiente. Die Begrüßung ist herzlich und angenehm unaufgeregt. Wir genossen das ausgezeichnete Menü mit korrespondierendem Wein. Alle Gänge des Menüs waren gustatorisch hervorragend, ansprechend präsentiert und qualitativ sehr hochwertig. Der begleitende Wein unterstützte die einzelnen Speisen perfekt (ein Blick in die gut sortierte Weinkarte ist ebenfalls lohnenswert). Es war alles ganz wunderbar. Der Service war sehr um einen bemüht und stets präsent ohne jemals aufdringlich zu sein, super freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wie übrigens im ganzen Hotel. Absolut empfehlenswert.
