I’ve been under Dr. Amara’s care for over 10 years, and she is truly exceptional. She’s supported me through some major health issues with patience, compassion, and professionalism. I usually avoid doctor visits unless absolutely necessary, but Dr. Amara makes every appointment feel comfortable and reassuring. She listens, explains things clearly, and genuinely cares. I’m so grateful to have her as my doctor—she’s made a huge difference in my life.

Google
Dr. Amara is very thorough. It was my first visit with her. She asked very detailed questions. Listened to my concerns and scheduled follow-ups. It is nice to have a caring Doctor. Facility is great too. All employees are friendly and helpful.

Google
Dr. Amari is not my regular physician, but was available when I needed a fairly urgent appointment. She was terrific: knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. She asked great questions and really listened to me. I would definitely recommend her.

Google
Dr. Amara is kind and gentle and very thorough. She reviews your records and tests and asks a lot of questions of you. I feel like she is fully informed when making decisions or diagnoses. She is the best primary care physician I have encountered.

Google
Dr. Amara has always provided thorough, thoughtful clinical support. She asks questions, listens to me, makes sure I understand the follow-up plan, calls in all the orders and referrals in a very timely way, and provides the visit summary in the MyHealth Online system. I come away from our visits feeling heard and supported.

Dr Amara had been my internist for a few years. My experiences with her have been excellent regarding my health care. She is warm, thoughtful, full of insight and takes the time you need to talk.

Yelp
I don't understand these negative reviews. I have been a patient of Dr. Amara for about 4 years. Such a kind doctor, very gentle in her approach, doesn't push you to take pills, she works with your beliefs. Loved her so much that I got my 91 year old mother going to her and my husband. We all are very happy we found such a caring doctor. Never had a problem with the staff, everyone has always been so helpful. I love Mills-Peninsula. I have had 3 surgeries in 3 1/2 years. Everyone at this hospital and clinic are awesome. Dr. Amara convinced me to take care of myself. Her kindness and gentle manner gain my complete trust.

Yelp
Im VERY picky when it comes to doctors and Dr Amara is great. I went to her after a bike accident / being hit by a car and she was VERY accommodating and understanding. (After going to ER of course.) She listens and ordered X-rays and prescribed medication for the various pains. I'm unsure why others were complaining but she has lovely bedside manner, smiles, cares, and most importantly is a doctor of action, not just sitting around hoping you'll recover. I highly recommend her!

Yelp
I absolutely love Dr. Amara. She is very responsive when I reach out to the office. She's also very thorough in her exam. I have referred my husband and all three of my children... Who are now grown. I highly recommend her. And the office is very smooth running and she always seems to be on time.

Yelp
I have had Dr. Amara for a few years, which proved OK for basic health care. Now I have had a month of still undiagnosed heart symptoms. My issues are : Two cancelled appointments by the doctor Communication from staff so late in the day, giving me no say in the matter Referral for two tests (AFTER this mess of scheduling) & one test not sent over to Cardiology Ages on hold everywhere at every dept. at Mills I feel like crud & cannot even get help. This is s##t health care, both staff & physician.

Yelp
She is covering for my doctor who is on maternity leave and replied to a message that essentially said, she will not help me, that i should go to a different doctor who is also not providing me the care i need. i haven't had such a terrible experience with medical providers/staff, etc. in almost a decade.

Yelp
She was of no help. I got into an accident and i did not feel any compassion from her. I came to seek medical assistance so my paranoia for having fractures or torn ligament from a vehicular accident could be ruled out. She didn't order for any test but did merely palpation. She would not give any recommendations for any assistive device/equipment , or medical advise, instead she told me 'you're a care provider you should know what to do'. In the first place, I would not come to see an MD if i'm confident that i am doing everything right for myself and not missing anything possible i could do to recuperate smoothly. Worse, No effort was done to get my med history and she told me, ' I don't know you so I can't make any recommendations. The only history i have is from your last visit 2 yrs ago." If I don't have record then she could have gotten a baseline from this visit-, lab tests, ask me! But no, she was just in a hurry to be done and maybe see the next pt . So disappointing for somebody who has pains and aches and has to walk w crutches to see a doctor. And yes, she even told me, " with your age you should be using crutches and not use a wheelchair when moving" . I don't think she have the slightest idea of how im aching all over my body. As one of care providers, she's a disgrace. Im sorry abt my word.
