If you are looking for a place to get some good side items off the menu, this would be a place to consider. If you are looking for a place that takes their time to cook your meal (and I mean REALLY take their time), I would recommend them. It took us an hour and fifteen minutes to get our food. If looking for good customer service, run the other way. Here are a few highlights from our visit: When we came in, three different people came up to us at three different times asking us what we were there for. We kept telling them that we were waiting for a table and they kept disappearing to the back of the restaurant. Once we were finally seated it took about 15 minutes for someone to be close enough for us to wave them down to ask who our waiter or waitress was. Then it took another 15 minutes for us to get our fountain drinks. Once we ordered our food we were told that they were out of catfish and that we could just get the red fish as a substitute. It wasn't until he brought out our tickets that we found out the $6 price difference in the two fish. We were under the impression that a "substitute" would cost the same amount. The waiter's reply was, "You saw the menu." The gumbo that I personally ordered was a "bowl" size but it came with very little meat and rice in it. There were maybe four small shrimp and four thin slices of sausage. I asked for extra rice and was given a very small scoop of extra rice. I definitely would have went elsewhere had I not driven 30 minutes just to visit this place. The entrees were not worth the money, but the sides (the green beans and macaroni in particular) were good!
