If you are looking for a really authentic and fun location in the heart of Düsseldorf’s Oberkassel, THIS is the place to go!! The food is homemade with a nice fancy twist. The ambience is so typical German pub and still funky, cool and cozy! It’s a place I love for so many occasions. Dinner with the family, especially now in autumn. Their goose is to die for!! 🥰 But it’s also the exact place to go for a night out with friends. They have top notch drinks AND a nine-pin bowling alley - I mean, how cool is that!! The Sassafras is an institution and an absolut MUST GO when in Düsseldorf!!

I had the Sassas Schnitzel at Sassafras in Düsseldorf and it was absolutely delicious. The flavors were perfectly balanced and the dish was prepared with great care. The atmosphere is welcoming and the service very friendly a place I’d gladly return to!

Food took close to an hour to arrive, second round of ordered beers never came, and overall the male waiter seemed completely disinterested in his job. Place is nice, service is lacking.

Nice Street terrace for drinking beer on good weather. Extremely good Schnitzel, especially for a restaurant from food clearly Spanish style. Most waiters and waitresses nicer and more efficient than some, on average good though. Reasonable prices.

The burger and orange risotto were outstanding! Staff - as friendly as staff can be. The atmosphere is original, cozy and warm. Their taste in music - modern, groovy and at the right volume. Definutely a must!
