We had a great experience catering with Sassool for our wedding event. The food was delicious, we got many compliments. It was prepared and set up nicely and on time. They were easy to work with and everything went smoothly at a reasonable price. The staff did a great job replenishing food for our large number of guests. Would highly recommend to anyone needing catering for their event.

Google
Casual atmosphere, friendly staff, and the best Mediterranean food I have had! Salads are super fresh and there is abundance of choices! Hot bar is no different! I suggest checking the website for daily specials and trying to have a ballpark idea of what you want before you get there! We had the spinakopita with the Mediterranean chicken salad and mjadarah, and the salmon over curry rice with kale salad and butternut squash salad. Added a side of hummus and hubs went back for dessert! Everything was so good and so full of flavor, and portion sizes are big so we have lunch for tomorrow!

Google
Sassool checks all my boxes for a flavorful, nourishing Lebanese Mediterranean meal. I've heard high praises about their delicious meals and decided to order delivery this afternoon. The portions are generous and the meals are so nutritious and flavorful. I decided on the Pick 4 and chose the roasted beet salad, falafel, jalapeño cilantro hummus and Mediterranean chicken salad. I also ordered a chicken kabob with greens. The jalapeño cilantro hummus and pita was a hit for me. The roasted beet salad with mint leaves was so flavorful ! The falafel was tasty but could have been warmer. Everything was perfect and I have food leftover for tomorrow. I also ordered a cheesecake as a treat for later. It’s a week later and I had a craving again! I ordered the veggie lasagna with beet salad and jalapeño hummus again. This time I had a berry tart for dessert. Everything was perfect again! The vegetable lasagna was so filling and delicious. The tart was delicious !!!!! Packed with so much tart fruit filling!!!!!

Google
Had a really delicious and healthy meal here. There is so much to chose from. All freshly prepared. Even the desserts, they are not too sweet and tasty.

Google
Fantastic selection for vegans/ vegetarians. I always get the pick 4 platter and it’s so hard to pick just 4 items. I love their baba ghanoush so always have to get that, but deciding on the other sides is very hard since they’re all delicious. My son had the schwarma and said it was the best meal he’s ever had. Now he wants to eat there once a month!

Manuela J.

Google
Wow this place was delicious!! I got the steak and lamb platter and it came with rice and two sides. I tried the hummus and chicken salad and it was 10/10! The food was fresh, friendly service and place was clean. Can’t wait to go again!

Google
I come 1-2 times a week. The food is great and the staff is better. Ozan in particular has become a friendly face that makes our trips to Sassool much more worthwhile. Feels like family!

Google
Giving 2 stars instead of 1 because it was my first time here, and I want to try it again before I decide. The bad: My order was filled over 20 minutes late, and the staff didnt apologize or seem aware of that at all despite asking about it twice. My coworkers order that was due after mine was the only order ready on arrival. My kebab sandwich was cold despite being so late compared to my coworkers whose food was still warm despite waiting for me to get mine. The steak was tough and overcooked. On the website you get to decide between white or whole wheat pita for your entree, but not for the sides of pita. I was dissapointed to find out the 12 pita I ordered were whole wheat, and very dry. The good: The store is very cute, and has a fun grocery store section with european snacks and foods. The bakery case was delicious. The pumpkin cake, stuffed dates, and biscoff cheesecake were all great. My coworkers enjoyed their non beef based entrees, they loved the falafel. The white bread pita is delicious. The sides were all decent. Prices are reasonable

Yelp
Had the chicken shawarma combo. Flavors were really good, not too salty. Had the lentil salad and chicken salad. All dishes come with free pita bread which are fresh out of the oven and warm. Operates like a supermarket, workers are really nice and welcoming. Lots of options for the sides. Overall, this establishment has nice local vibes and makes you feel welcome as a customer. would come back again

Yelp
We had a group get together here and it was a lovely place to have a movie club. There were times where it got loud but that's expected with the influx of patrons. Everyone enjoyed their food. The clerk who rung up me and my husband was friendly and jovial.

Yelp
My favorite Mediterranean place is Raleigh! The food here is delicious and fresh. Since you're reading this, Charlie's Kabob Grill is also amazing! But back to the review: I love the food here and the fresh baked pita bread! We usually get the kabob platter with kafta and steak (15.99) with two sides: tabouli and hummus. The platter comes with rice and some toum (garlic paste) but we like to order an extra one (try dipping the pita in the garlic paste!). We love the hot and fresh pita bread, right out of the oven. It can get very busy but usually it's quick service. You order at the counter, pay, get a number, get a table and they'll bring your food to your table. They also have a store with lots of Mediterranean ingredients and other foods.

Yelp
Food: 4 Service: 4 Ambience: 4 Date/Time: 10/15/2024 7pm Crowd: 1/2 full + lots of take-out orders Order: Chicken Kabob combo plate w/hummus & grape leaves Hadn't been here in awhile and it looks like they've picked a lot of fans since. It seems to be crowded most every time I come here! The little grocery area in the back left side is pretty well stocked and has quite a bit of a selection of items. The order line in the back right offers a wide selection of both cold & hot sides and main dishes from the display or the grill. As you make your way past the order counter, the desserts look awesome and tempting! The folks behind the order counter are all good and efficient as well as the pay counter. And don't forget to get your hot pita when you pay! Back toward the front when you enter, the 2 dining areas are to the immediate left and right, with a small area in the grocery area in back. The place is on the noisy side when it gets full (most of the time) but if you can get a table on the left side as you enter, it shields you a little bit. Definitely recommended!

Yelp
I love Sassool and I can literally eat here daily. I enjoy the salmon burger, kale salad and rice. I don't believe there is anything on the menu that I dislike. I've enjoyed the lamb, stuff dates and baklava as well. The staff here are always rushing, so it's easy to be overlooked if you're not approaching and immediately giving an order. The space is always nice and clean. I always find a clean table and the restaurant is well lit. It is loud in here but once you take the first bite from your food you'll never notice. I like to enjoy mine as take out.

Yelp
I visit Raleigh often and my flight usually gets in around lunch time. This is my go to spot!! They have so many Lebanese and Mediterranean options available for lunch. It's kind of cafeteria style. You just walk up and order and they plate it for you. From Greek salads to tabouli salad, salads made several ways, seasonal salads, baba ghanoush hummus, grape leaves, Labna, they have everything. I like the Pick three or pick four platter where I can get to try several of the dishes that they're serving that day. They also have hot dishes like Música and kebabs and they have this amazing pizza.. It is really hard not to over order!! The food is so good!
google avatar

Yelp
I moved away from Raleigh over a year ago and, not being dramatic, I still have dreams about the food at Sassool. All of the locations are clean, service is great and food is spectacular. Most authentic mediterranean food I have ever had. Every time I am back home in Raleigh, it is the first place I go.
google avatar

Sarah A.

Yelp
This is one of my favorite lunch spots to stop by. This is a place where I love the kebabs, but I wouldn't suggest getting the sandwich options that they have. The kebabs and the sides are where they really shine and you can appreciate all the flavor. They have some really great cold and hot sides and their desserts are amazing. I love the baba ghanoush and always get it with olives and oil. It feels like you're in a gas station shop the way that it is set up, but it is really good food for a great price. This is really great for anyone who's trying to be healthy and have some balanced lunch options. The service is very quick and you're able to get your food in a timely manner. It is a good option for sit down or take away. This is a super casual lunch spot.

Yelp
This eatery is close to home (within walking distance). The food is always excellent. And because it is, it's usually quite busy. But the food offerings are well worth the wait. As well as the shelf stable items. I definitely recommend this business!
google avatar

Carol M.

Yelp
Second time and the food was amazing! Fresh tasty. I would give more stars if I could. Chicken kabobs tender and juicy. Go and try they have many locations in the triangle
google avatar

Katie N.

Yelp
Determined to recreate their amazing fava bean salad at home- it is SO good! I also love the chicken salad and mixing things up with an another side from their rotating selection.

Yelp
Four stars with a lot of reservations. I ONLY get the pick four platter -- 3 cold sides and 1 hot one. I never order anything that has to be prepared by the kitchen. So, this review is based on a long history of ordering straight from the deli line. I can say this. It is usually pretty consistent. Sometimes things are a little too sour, but I think that might just be due to seasonal variations in the citrus. I will say that the food is often a little too bland. I have been adding salt and pepper, which does actually make a tremendous difference. The ratatouille is my go to hot side. It's not as good as a rival's ratatouille. It's more like stewed vegetables. But, it does please me nonetheless. If I could give this place a 3.5, I totally would. I just think 3 isn't fair. I think 4 is a little too generous. I do find the food to have a certain quality. It's clean, it sticks to your ribs, and in general I feel pretty good after eating it. That being said, if I had the choice between this place, and their rival -- I'm going with the other place every single time.

Lauren G.

Yelp
Amazing selection. I got the sampler plate and tried several salads. The Mediterranean Chicken Salad was so delicious!

Edward M.

Yelp
Almost perfect meal...big crowd in town and ordered two fam dinners plus extra sides and deserts....Beef shawarma, never had from Sassool, but have had from other places. Meat was thick and not tender at all. Not sure if it was a rush to judgment on prep or not cooked the length it should have been. Like to see this improved upon in the future. Cheers!

Crissa V.

Yelp
Food is always good how ever check each item you order before leaving even though the time before this I did and they got irritated with me because only space was at check out counter, so today it was packed and I trusted a simple order and drove 35 min back to Durham only to have the wrong sandwich and it's highly disappointing when your craving something and spend over a hour on the road for it to be wrong. The manager was super friendly and refunded me for that item but the other staff in store when I picked up and the caller I first spoke with was not pleasant. Just very disappointing and discouraging when you go in any business anymore and staff act like they hate there job, this is no customer service or appreciation anymore.
google avatar

Scott G.

Yelp
I don't give out five star reviews often but everything on my four option plate was great ! There is a little market inside as well. Staff friendly, very busy inside but lots of seating. Gluten free options galore too.
google avatar

Gabrielle K.

Yelp
I recently visited my cousin in Raleigh and we ordered Sassool for takeout. I really loved this restaurant and all of the options they offer! You can eat healthy here and there are so many different combinations you can try. The staff service was very friendly and attentive when I arrived to pick the order up and everything was ready pretty quickly! I enjoyed everything I ordered and would go back next time I visit to try some more! My order was the combo platter with a chicken kebab over rice with cous cous and a refreshing chickpea salad. Unfortunately I forgot to take a picture!

Eva S.

Yelp
The best Mediterranean food ever. Just get a pick 3 or pick 4 to save time. It's all amazing, especially hummus, baba ghanouj, house made pitas, beet salads (both) and falafels.
google avatar

Stacy Y.

Yelp
We love this place. The portions are big enough to share between two people on the pick 4. Everything's always super fresh and flavorful. The tuna salad is the best! And every plate comes with hot fresh pitas, right from the woodfired oven. Yum!

Sara D.

Yelp
Food is always good. So fresh and so many choices. Every is always delicious. Staff is friendly. Always a nice meal when we visit from out of town.
google avatar

Barb H.

Yelp
Eight of us ate there, ordering all kinds of things and everybody liked everything. It was a Sunday lunch and they were super-busy so we had to wait in line but they were polite and we got our food quickly. I ordered the non-vegetarian stuffed eggplant which came with two sides. I chose the fava bean salad which was spectacular and the felafel which i gave to my hubby. The eggplant was good but not great - it was a bit bland. It was a generous portion. If I re-visit the area, I'd go back but order something else.
google avatar

Bari S.

Yelp
Had a large order for a catering and all Food was served hot & fresh and pick up was ready right on time!! Thank you for helping to make my meeting a success

Jean D.

Yelp
I wish I lived here. I would eat every meal here! Was visiting my son and he brought us in for dinner. So much to choose from. Large portions of delicious foods. Many healthy options. The little market inside is awesome. Loved it!
google avatar

Chris G.

Yelp
Oh how I love Sassool! When I'm in the mood for something light, I get the Pick 3 or Pick 4 and get delicious vegetarian cold salads (autumn root is my favorite) and eat it for two meals, but if I'm hungry I go for chicken kebabs and stuff myself silly. The garlic sauce that comes with the kebabs is killer and I think order chicken specifically to get the garlic sauce. Everything at Sassool is fresh, well seasoned, and delicious. I could eat here every day if it weren't always so crowded, but that just tells you how much people love it!
google avatar

Annetta R.

Yelp
First time trying this restaurant. Very good healthy food. Can't remember what we ordered. We dined outside, we were waited on right away. Not a fan of celery, quite a bit of had to be picked out of my dish.
google avatar

Amber C.

Yelp
Omg. I am speechless. Went here for the first time with my boyfriend and we were completely blown away by how good and flavorful EVERYTHING was. Literally. Every single thing we ate was AMAZING. On top of that, the staff was so friendly and helpful. We are addicted!!!!

Robert J.

Yelp
We've been dining at Sassool since they opened. Still the best Mediterranean in the Triangle in our opinion.
google avatar

Pallavi S.

Yelp
Great place to get Mediterranean food. They have a big selection of items to choose from. We went during lunch but the service was super quick. We got a pita sandwich combo with their famous chicken salad and it was delicious! The food was so good that I even forgot to take pictures!!! They serve fresh pita with the food and I would go back just for that alone. The items are reasonably priced and they have a seating area inside too if you want to dine in. Definitely recommend getting their chicken salad and pita sandwich. Will be back for more.

Kenny B.

Yelp
Delicious as always. We ordered ahead and the meal was ready on time. Love their convenient store too, picked up great tea and spices.

Sally Anne M.

Yelp
The line to order was almost out the door and moving way too slowly. I love good food, but can find it elsewhere without standing in a long line
google avatar

Trevor H.

Yelp
I loved the ambience when I walked in. I liked checking out the grocery store section and then going to the other side of the restaurant and ordering hot food. The food I ordered was delicious and because of Dine In The 919 event, I was able to try FOUR sides for $9.19. That's hard to beat! Too bad entrees don't qualify for the pick 4. I really wanted to try the Vegetarian Lasagna and it's at the top of my list of things to try next time. The staff was nice and let me sample sides that I was unsure of (i.e the sweet potato hummus). The deserts were also delicious as well. Special thanks to the cashier Daia who was kind, patient, and very helpful in explaining to my girlfriend which deserts had dairy. They have a vegan baklava and my girlfriend said "It was SO good and I'm so happy that they had vegan options."

K L.

Yelp
Although the food is good the cashier was not friendly when I asked about a gluten free pita she snapped at me and said I should have ordered it at the start of the line how ever I did ask about it but was told you get your free pitas when paying. So I got snapped at and charged $2 extra for one pita. Then was asked to sit at a table to wait because that is what they do even with to go orders. Question while I don't get the two that was included why do you have to pay extra for one. My diet is not a Choice as I have celiac. The customer service was horrible I will look at other Mediterranean restaurants that might be more friendly to their customers. This restaurant is so popular and busy guess my business won't me missed but I like to be treated better.

Alec A.

Yelp
Haven't had a bad experience here yet. I recently found out they serve Gluten Free pita bread, and it's really freagin good!
google avatar

Ashleigh F.

Yelp
I haven't been to Sassool in a while so I was excited that they were one of the participating restaurant in the #Dineinthe919 deals. This was my first time at this particular location. The restaurant is located in a shopping plaza with other businesses that share the parking lot. The restaurant is large and has several tables for those that chose to dine in. I came during lunch time and there were several people dining in and in the line waiting to be served. The line moved fairly quickly. Once I got up to counter I asked the employee if she needed to see my check in for the deal. She responded I guess so. I checked in while standing in front of her and showed her the check in deal. She looked at it with a confused looked for an extended period of time without saying anything so I asked was she familiar with the deal and she did not respond. I asked her a couple more times & she finally said I am waiting for you to tell me what you want. I told her the four items that I wanted for my sampler. The items were displayed in a glass display with labels for the sides. I chose the fatoosh, a corn salad, tabouleh, and the Mediterranean chicken. When I got to the cash register I showed the cashier the deal and he seemed a little confused as well. He later gave me a cup for the self serve fountain drinks that offered juice and soda. The cup was a nice size. He also gave me pita bread. Prior to checking me out he asked me again how much the meal should be. Overall the food was really good and tasted fresh. The Mediterranean chicken and the corn salad were my favorite. The pita bread was good and soft.

Margie F.

Yelp
It's a go through a Line self-serve kinda. Then you can sit at tables with strangers or choose a spot all to yourself. It all depends on your attitude on whether you enjoy the Ebbi or not. It's a chance to try a different cultures food and buy products in their store. I enjoyed my day there.
google avatar

Wanda E.

Yelp
Love everything about this place and still haven't finished trying it all. Cannot wait to come again soon.
google avatar

Laura P.

Yelp
Always five star!Such a treat when I am in the neighborhood for some of their incredible edibles! You cannot go wrong with anything here, I bet the napkins even taste good. Fresh, fantastic food. I especially enjoy the stuffed grape leaves, chicken skewers, Mediterranean salad, Spinach& Feta Pizzette and Every. Single. Side. Dish. Don't even get me started on their deserts, Devine! Truly you can find something for everyone; Vegan, Veg, Gluten Free, carnivore, however you eat it will be delicious here! PS ask for extra garlic sauce for dipping your pita, thank me later!
google avatar

James L.

Yelp
My wife picked up food for me on December 22, 2023. The spanakopita was awesome and I pulled off crunchy layers of fila dough before eating the filling. I had requested the salmon burger combo with sweet potato salad and stuffed grape leaves. Unfortunately you were out of grape leaves and my wife said surprise her. I am not a tuna fan, particularly the smell, but I really enjoyed the tuna salad and it smelled of mild tuna and aromatic herbs. I would even try your tuna salad again! The salmon burger was tasty as was the sweet potato salad. I had enough food for two meals. The spanakopita remains one of my favorites from Sassool!
google avatar

Kristal R.

Yelp
I love Sassool! I go here often! The food is amazing and the portion sizes are great. I almost always get the pick 4 and there are so many amazing options I usually get two pick 4s because I can't choose just 4 sides. It makes a great lunch and then a great dinner. When I'm training for marathons this is such a great healthy go to option for me. My favorites are the Orzo Pasta Salad, Pearled Couscous, Med Chicken Salad, Sweet Potato Salad, Corn Salad, Fatoush, Cabbage Salad and Lebanese Rice. These are all so great! The service is always fast. Even if you see a long line at a poplular lunch or dinner time don't worry the line will move fast.

Yelp
Outstanding Mediterranean food in North Raleigh if you're in the neighborhood. Stumbled across this place while visiting my parents and was floored by how good their vegetarian salad and vegetarian friendly options were. This place has won best of Mediterranean food in the triangle in prior years and they still have it. On site dedicated fire oven roasts their pizette offerings wonderfully. Highly recommend their beet based dishes. Can't wait to come back again and try their other selections.

Tim C.

Yelp
It was my first time here. The line was kinda long but it didn't take but 5-7 minutes to get through to order my food. They had it ready before I paid for it a few minutes later. There was plenty of room to sit in the dining area and it wasn't too loud. If I lived closer than 80-90 minutes away, I would DEFINITELY come back. The staff was friendly and acknowledged me with 'good afternoon air, what can I get for you', which is good for a busy place.
google avatar

Luna E.

Yelp
Food is pretty good, orders come at random times even if the same items. Prices are very very high.

Anton W.

Yelp
Was told before coming that this was the best Middle Eastern restaurant in Raleigh. Nope. Not by a long shot. The beef kabob was so tough we ended up not eating it. When we told a staff member about the kabob he said he would see what he could do. Never saw him again after that! The falafel sandwich was very late in coming out and had cooled down to almost cold to the taste. We also had the vegetarian lasagna but there were no knives available to cut it into bite size pieces. We won't be coming back for another meal here.
google avatar

Heather B.

Yelp
We have wanted to try Sassool for months after a friend highly recommended it, finally got by there. Main take aways - food is VERY good, however they were quit discombobulated at 11 on a Saturday morning. They were out of tuna salad, fresh pita and lemonade. They'd been open for one hour and either didn't have these items ready or were already sold out. So, we ordered hummus but had no pita with it... Ordered a mushroom pizette and a four sampler and three sampler, plus a sugar free cheesecake. The sampler items were delicious. Kale salad, lentil salad, chicken salad and a lentil onion mix that was so yummy. Hummus was good, despite no bread. The cheesecake was meh. Overall, we'd definitely eat here again, hopefully items we wanted to try would be available. By the time we left around noon, the line was quite long. Very popular spot. Plenty of parking, kind employees, and clean bathrooms.

Yelp
We stopped in on yet another dreary Friday night in North Carolina. It was pouring and the place was busy. There was a long line but it moved quickly. We went there with the intention to dine in, which we did. They have removed some of the tables and spaced out the rest to comply with the current indoor dining restrictions. All of the staff were wearing gloves and masks and they are cleaning the tables between customers. The food here is great. We were big Greek / Mediterranean / Middle Eastern foodies back when we lived in NYC. We were happy to find this place when we moved here five years ago. I went with the large kabob platter with the lamb skewers over rice, Orzo pasta and cabbage salad (loaded up carb night). My wife went with the same but with two mixed salads (can't remember the exact name), our son got the chicken salad, garden salad and hummus. I also got an order of grape leaves and we got some hot pita bread to split. We splurged on a dessert (it was Friday) and got a flourless chocolate pistachio tort. Like I said before, the food was awesome. The service here is also really good. they were really busy and there was a long take out line and the phone was ringing off of the hook. It took a little while for the food to come out which is understandable. They have a nice grocery section with hard to find items that you normally can't find in Raleigh. If you're into Greek / Mediterranean / Middle Eastern food, this is the place for you. Definitely check them out.
google avatar

Gab G.

Yelp
Have ordered takeout from here a few times and everything was pretty tasty. The mediterranean chicken salad is probably one of the best things you can get here, followed by the grilled veggies. I've also tried the baba ganoush, beets, hummus, tabouleh, orzo salad and baklava. Great place for a fast casual dinner/takeout. They also have a store inside with Turkish pantry items!
google avatar

Yelp
Sassool is so delicious! When you feel like you want to try something different, but not way out there different, Sassool is a great option. Real food, and so many flavors from a variety of vegetables and spices, lentils, cheeses, meat. The Kafta kabob is my favorite of the kabobs. The two kabob meal is great if you're hungry and want to try out some different items. You can get two different kabobs and two sides. There are cold salads, hot sides and soups. The pesto orzo is so good and is topped with feta and includes kalamata olives. Even if you don't like hummus, try the jalapeño cilantro hummus, is so good and balanced flavor. I'm not a spicy eater and this is just delicious. I feel as though you could please any diet/taste type here. There's meat, vegetarian, vegan, gluten free items, fun snacks and beverages. They make flat bread pizzas as well. The spinach pie is definitely on my list. They offer desserts made on site and some from other places that are vegan and/or gluten free. Sassool gets hit by the lunch rush big time, so just be prepared if you're coming in on a weekday. It can be a little chaotic but the food is just so good, it's no wonder people clamor to get in. They have a little side shop offering nuts, lentils, candies, snacks, beverages and more. There is a front outside dining area. Parking is pretty easy but it's shared with all the other busy businesses in the strip mall. Still go. The food is the thing.

Yelp
I was a bit intimidated when I walked in, especially because the menu and display case are so extensive, but I absolutely loved it after I got it together and finally figured out what/how to order! I would definitely go with someone who's already been before (but that just might be my personality...). Either way, the food is all so good. I've tried the Medjool rice, the Lebanese rice, the hummus, the tabouli, the chicken kabobs, the Mediterranean chicken salad, and the taziki. Everything I've tried so far has been on point! I'm a huge fan and wish it was closer to me so I can get takeout more often.
