"A dedicated gluten-free restaurant, complete with glutenless beer and wine, Sassy Spoon nicely fills a niche for those with dietary restrictions. That said, anyone can love a good gluten-free meal, especially with a miso-braised pork plate – roasted pulled pork with pickled onions and ginger-garlic slaw. And add an egg, because why not?" - Will Simons

"This little bistro is entirely gluten free and dedicated to what they dub “wholesome food with attitude” on their website. Located on the corner of East 50th Street and 34th Avenue South in Minneapolis, guests will find everything from meatballs and yucca patties to zoodle Pad Thai and flatbread pizza inside their doors." - Joy Summers

Great selection of gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian options. Very creative flavors in the shredded pork tacos topped with pickled beets Also shared the yucca crust pizza. We enjoyed a colorful artisan salad with a peanut sauce dressing outside on bistro chairs. Recommend this locale to enjoy a great meal made by a small business with locally sourced ingredients. So much good food, we had leftovers to bring home.

I've been told multiple times that Sassy Spoon was an amazing place to dine. So, I finally decided to take the plunge. Well, they didn't disappoint! The food was amazing! I had the miso-braised pork meal & my date had the spring roll salad with the pork & they were both excellent! Based on my first experience, I'll definitely be back and I'll be bringing friends.

Great find! Very Allergy Aware! Safe place to eat if you have Celiac or Gluten Intolerance. Can also accommodate Dairy free and other allergens. It is a cozy place, with some seating outside as well. Food was amazing. It was great to have the only stress be about what to order and not if it was safe to eat. Will be back! Also love love #LOVE the #HateHasNoBizHere sign

I had the Miso pork tacos phenomenal. The side salad was great with fresh greens loved it. My wife had a wonderful turkey burger with tons of flavor through the toppings and their bacon was amazing very cordial services and then I had a gluten free chocolate chip cookie to go next time I'm going to stay for a beer this time I only had a ginger Brew which was also very tasty great atmosphere good music. A must go for the gluten-free connoisseur.

The menu is a great variety of many cuisines all made in their totally gluten free kitchen before your eyes. The beer, cider and wines selection are mostly local with a few exceptions. One could easily make this their regular spot. Note: The menu also includes vegan and paleo options. The vegan cheese option on the pizza has a great flavor and texture.

Great allergen free food! Their entire menu is gluten free and were quick to accommodate additional allergy concerns we had, customizing our order as needed. The service was friendly. The food tasted amazing - I will argue it's as good if not better than any other restaurant you eat at (allergy friendly or not). The portions were hearty and fair given the price paid. I look forward to visiting again someday soon.

This is small counter service restaurant, one that I love. I have never gotten bad food. I appreciate that you can sub califlower instead of white rice. The menu has interesting healthy options along with a case of various ever changing yummy treats. You can also get wine here. For out of five stars because it's a bit spendy, though it is great.
