"Besides the rad name, Satan's is known for its coffee aficionado-worthy blends, thanks to the genius of master barista, Marcos Bartolomé, who comes from a line of coffee makers. Satan's has a standalone café in the Gothic Quarter and another location at the Casa Bonay hotel."

Hidden in the alleyways of the gothic quarter is this beautiful cafe. The vibe is relaxed and cozy. Gets great natural light in the morning, the perfect spot to start the day. The coffee was great. They also sell pastries and coffee beans. The staff were friendly and welcoming, I’m definitely coming back. Recommended 👍🏼

I absolutely loved The Right Side Coffee Bar in Barcelona!! I had a cappuccino with oat milk, and I’m not exaggerating when I say it was the best coffee I’ve had in a loooong time! The barista was also very kind and welcoming. I came back several times during my stay in Barcelona and I’ll definitely be back in the future 😁

Google
Such a cool coffee place with high ceilings and huge windows in the middle of the old part of town. The coffee tasted very good and the staff was friendly. It is quite small which adds to the great atmosphere. I can recommend stopping by even just to grab a coffee to go.

In love with this place, great coffee, best I’ve had in Barcelona. But keep in mind that this place is filled with international people (not Barcelona locals), all you hear in american english, it is not an “authentic Spanish coffee place”. l love this international vibe. Great interior, kind staff, and amazing brownies!

Note: I went there a month plus ago (early June). It was on a weekday. The place was packed. I would have loved to sit in this lovely cafe. But as you can see from my pictures, the place was clean, orderly, and it just smelled of good coffee! I enjoyed my latte immensely even though I already had coffee earlier that day. The workers were busy, but efficient. Everyone in the cafe was just relaxed, as it should be when things are good. We waited for our order and we went our own way. I sipped the coffee and felt refreshed. That was the main purpose of such an establishment! I would definitely go again! But would love to just sit down and do my usual stuff.

Different and extremely tasty Pain au chocolat. Great and well presented Oat Cappuccinos. Super friendly staff and lots of space to sit.

Ordered a long black. I didn’t like the coffee, notes of dairy on the nose, nothing like the tasting notes described, reminded me of goat cheese. And got displaced from my table by the waiter for using the laptop, despite not saying anything about their laptop policy anywhere. Cute setting though.

Google
I don’t know what kind of beans they use but their coffee tastes so good!! I got a flat white and croissant. Perfect combination. The croissant has a glaze so it has a bit of sweetness and crunch. The staff were so nice as well! Just fyi, they only accept cards!

Yelp
Excellent coffee and hot chocolate no doubt, and they surely know and proud of it. I would recommend anyone who actually loves coffee to come - I mean coffee, not coffee flavored drink. ;p But not a great place really for trendy Starbucks follower, or for studying purpose. They don't have internet. ;p

Yelp
TLDR: some of the best coffee I've ever had! ___ I came here twice on my trip to Barcelona. Both times I got the same thing: a flat white with oat milk. The coffee is strong and delicious. Some of the best coffee I've ever had. They use Right Side coffee, a local roaster. While the name might throw some people off, and their "rules" of no baby carriages and no wifi might seem a bit odd, the folks that work here are actually really nice, and the coffee more than makes up for it.
google avatar

Yelp
The menu said "f*** Yelp, f*** TripAdvisor." But I'm reviewing it anyway. Take that, Satan! Pretty decent coffee, I got a flatwhite with oat milk. Just a little bit more on the smoky side than I'd prefer, but maybe that's (insert satan/hell joke here). They have food too but I didn't try any. All in all, a good place to sit down after walking around the Gothic Quarter.
google avatar

Clarice H.

Yelp
Huge fan of bougie coffee places like this! I got the everything salad- picture posted with the review. I also got an iced flat white which was kind of small but it tasted very rich and strong, very nice. The food took a while to come out but I wasn't in a rush today. But if you are, take note as I probably waited half an hour for my food! Servers are very nice and helpful!

Yelp
Satan's is hidden away in the corner of an alley situated in the Gothic quarters of Barcelona. It wasn't too hard to find as my map app took us pretty much there. The store is very open and everything about its theming is really eccentric and out of the ordinary. It's pretty confusing what to do once I walked in because there was only one man working and he did not acknowledge my friend and I coming in at all. He also wasn't the best at double tasking because he snapped at me as soon as I opened my mouth to ask if I was supposed to order first or sit down. He gave a sharp "hold on" with a hand gesture and finished making some coffees and finally told us to grab a table. Then, he took a while to come take our orders and finally deliver them. The coffee was good but nothing I would go back for. Prices were not cheap as I could get the same things I ordered at the bar next to my hotel for half the price. Worth trying once but don't recommend!

Yelp
Our friend who is a coffee enthusiast brought us here in search of good coffee in Barcelona. Satan's is a lovely coffee shop with a strong Japanese influence in the food they offer. They offer classic espresso and coffee options, and definitely gives off a hipster vibe. The food options offered a decent selection, we ordered the black rice porridge with coconut milk, chia pudding, a eggs with spinach dish and the beef bikini sandwich. The hot black rice porridge was creamy and very well done. The egg dish was tasty though the egg yolk was too overcooked for my taste

Yelp
Satan's is fittingly super sarcastic and sassy. It was hard to find but we were determined to track it down due to rave reviews, and it was totally worth it! Because it's so tucked away, it's a lot less chaotic than most places in Barcelona, so it was nice to have a quiet place to enjoy some yummy coffee. I had the cortado and the croissant which were both delicious. The only knock is that the set up is a bit confusing. You can't order at the counter if you're going to eat in, and service was a bit slow. However, I'd definitely come back here! They have some interesting menu items--I was highly amused that they offered a traditional Japanese breakfast.

Yelp
Satan's coffee was one of the best coffees I had in Barcelona. Certainly still not up to the Aussie standard I'm used to but still a great coffee non-the-less. Recommend if you just want a nice honest coffee! The shop might be a little small if you have a huge group. But quite closey which might not be bad at all. The single thing I don't like might be the name. The light cannot mix with darkness. Coffee, being God's gift to man is certain one thing that's in the light!

Yelp
It is a hip spot with good ventilation and sunlight. The Cortado was decent, Cold Brew was watered down, in my opinion. Menu is creative. Not many vegan options though. Got the ajoblanco, which was suuuuper yummy--creamy and savory (had tried ajoblanco the first time in Málaga where it was bitter and tasted like rinds). The salad they paired with was bright and tasty--the slices of radish were pink and added an extra zest to the dish. The chia soup wasn't cohesive in taste for me--perhaps it was because I did not mix it before diving in. There were bites of plain chia and bites of tanginess, with an essence of salt swimming into every occasional bite. Aesthetically, it is pleasing though: bright pink with strokes of green avocado and mango with a dollop of sour cream and whole hazelnuts plopped. Crab roll was meh. Tasted of heavy mayonnaise and pickles. Duck confetti was yummy, but a bit on the intense side. There was ginger and pickled radish on the side to tone down the intensity of the sweet and saltiness, but I like how the meat was rendered. Took almost 40 minutes for our food to come, which took away from our site seeing schedule. Servers were very welcoming.

Yelp
Just for the name I gave it 5 stars. Also it's great coffee and I had a wonderful borscht. Which is weird for a coffee ship but I loved it. Hail Satan's coffee corner!

Yelp
This place lives up to the hype, is super chill, and has a great breakfast/brunch menu. It was a nice surprise because I had the impression that this was a get coffee to-go sort of place, but you can and should sit down and make yourself at home for a bit if you have the time. I had the Everything Salad, which included: garbanzo beans, cauliflower, kale, pumpkin, an egg cooked to perfection, and wondrously thick bacon, drizzled with a yogurt dressing. Amazing. My mom had a chia seed porridge topped with coconut and fresh berries and it was lovely as well. The coffee was great (I had a cafe con hielo to keep it simple), and I ended up ordering some freshly squeezed orange juice as well - I'm a big fan of any place with freshly squeezed oj. Drawbacks: Service was moving at a fairly glacial place. There was not anywhere we had to be immediately after, which is good because we were here for nearly 2 hours for breakfast. The staff seemed overwhelmed trying to keep up with orders. Also, this is not a kid-friendly place (part of it's charm, in my opinion), but seriously, don't bring kids in.

Yelp
This place was recommended to me by a friend who had previously visited and it did not disappoint! The coffee was fantastic, the vibe was wonderful, and the employees were very nice. Definitely worth visiting if you're in the gothic quarter!

Yelp
Satan's Coffee Corner is a no frills type of place. You get what you ask for. So it is pretty hidden in terms of location even thought pretty much everything in Barcelona is in some alleyway. This one seemed to be even more confusing to get to so be ready to have your Google Maps ready. When I finally found the place, I didn't know if I was supposed to just grab a seat or order first and grab a seat and it took a while for the waitress to finally address me so that was a bit of a bummer but eventually I grabbed a seat. I didn't get a coffee menu so I was then a bit lost there as well but I did hear someone else mention a cold brew so I just stuck with that. I also ordered some toast with butter and preserves. I was thinking of a croissant but the waitress said that they weren't ready yet. I grabbed a seat by the window which I thought was the best seat in the house because you get to people watch (even though it's a hidden alley...) I enjoyed the cold brew. It was exactly what I expected in a cold brew because it had the great coffee taste with that acidic, sour flavor that you get from a regular iced coffee. In terms of the toast, it was two thick pieces of toast with a bit of butter and preserves. Pretty ordinary but I felt that the toast was really tasty. In the end, it is just bread but it was crisp but fluffy in the middle and the butter (though not necessary) was a great compliment. The preserves weren't extremely sweet so you can slap that stuff one and not feel guilty. I enjoyed my time at Satan. I think it needs a bit more organization in terms of service but the drinks and snacks speak for themselves. The decor is a bit hipster and but it still has it's charm. If you are looking for a place that might still be a bit touristy but has some great stuff, I suggest Satan's Coffee Corner.

Yelp
Satan's Coffee Corner is tucked away into one of Gothic Quarter's little alleyways and is a gem for coffee lovers. The brightly lit, hipster interior is inviting and perfect for an espresso to be drunk over a book or across a friend. The coffee options are quite strong and are of higher quality than your typical find at a random Spanish cafe or bar. There are affogato, coffee soda float choices on the menu, as well as your typical coffee options such as the flat white, cortado (similar to a cappuccino, but less foamy), and espresso. The food menu also boasts quirky items such as some Japanese bites, cereals, pastries, and desserts. I tried their almond chia seed pudding, which was topped with coconut and chocolate shavings, almond parings, and pomegranate seeds. Although it was very pretty to look at, the taste was just okay -- I feel as if I could have made it. Service is friendly, although they can be a bit slow with your food orders. Another downside was the lack of wifi, but I still managed to do without it on my laptop. Nevertheless, I am a fan of the place's coffee options and the atmosphere.

Yelp
Stopped in during our travels. Very nice place and it was empty. The workers were very friendly... I bought a double shot. He joked about it being 565 euros. I smirked and then payed. He charged me 5 euros for a double. Later I noticed it clearly said 2 for a single and 3 for a double. When my order was ready I asked him about the price (knowing since I didn't react to the over charge joke that he assumed I wouldn't realize i was over charged) he said let me check and proceeded to re-print the receipt. "Oh yes, sorry" He gave me 2 euros and a water for " the honest mistake" worst part is once I drank the shot it was horrible. I am assuming he made a very bad extraction on purpose. I drank most of it but the bottom was straight acidic bile. I left the rest and tossed it. I guess this particular place gave this American a double whammy.

Yelp
Needed a pick me up after all the exploring, so we headed to this little coffee shop that was tucked away in the Gothic quarters. There's an option to sit down or take away, but you have to walk around the bar. Super cool vibe, with minimalist Japanese-esque decor, and chill Spanish jazz on the speakers. Perhaps it goes hand in hand with the place's name, but you get a sense of "cold" hipster attitude as the service isn't particularly warm or friendly. Besides that, it's a great and quiet place to take a break from the hustle and bustle. Oh, and the coffee is good.

Yelp
Wow! By far the best caffeine (if not all) experience in Barçelona. I started with a cortado and the chia cereal and was blown away. The tapestry of flavors was rejuvenating and the cortado was silky. All in all, they put a smile on my face. To top it all off, the barrista and the chef were super friendly and make one feel right at home. Thr ambiance is modern but warm and the surroundings of the cafe make it Barcelona-edgy. I think this may have been one of my best discoveries thus far here. This is an absolute must try in my book.

Yelp
SO glad I found this place. After a few days in Barcelona with annoying jet lag, I finally found delicious coffee here. Tucked away in a beautiful spot, It was a perfect way to start the day. I especially loved the espresso and am already plotting my afternoon return for more!
google avatar

Faith A.

Yelp
I have to admit, I was skeptical based on some of the other reviews of the past. I wasn't sure if I would enjoy Satan's. That said, what I experienced was what I thought was the best cappuccino that I have had in Spain (and I have been there a number of times). The cafe is bigger than I had anticipated (at first I thought it was a simple counter). Behind the counter there is ample seating and a small area where they can prepare some basic foods. It was impeccably clean, the staff was friendly and it had an overall great vibe. In addition to this - the coffee was damn good. If our hotel would have been closer, I would have been there at least twice a day - it was that yummy. If you are a coffee snob and want some of the most delicious coffee in BCN - come here! You won't be disappointed.
google avatar

Cristina S.

Yelp
Their sign may say F* Yelp, but I don't care because this is damn good coffee. The only cold brew I've had where I craved neither milk nor sweetener. Everyone in the place will undoubtedly be hipper than you, but just appreciate that. Despite the touristy area, it appeared to be all locals. No wifi, no frou-frou drinks, just good coffee with a good vibe. Their other location on Gran Via is dope, too.
google avatar

Kendra L.

Yelp
Terrific service - very friendly and accommodating to tourists. We both got the toast with pumpkin, leek, and poached egg (tostada de calabaza) and a flat white. I enjoyed it immensely. I love egg on toast and this was a very tasty and creative version.

Yelp
The British really have been spoilt with coffee in the last few years. You can't walk down a street in most cities, without there being a trendy little hipster haven to get a fresh cup of the good stuff. However, after spending some time in Barcelona, it seems they haven't really caught on to this trend quite yet. But if you look hard enough, you will find them. This place certainly is a "hidden" gem, as it took us 10 minutes of wandering around the beautiful side streets of the gothic quarter to find the place. I'd definitely say it's worth the wait though. It's everything you want if you're a young hipster looking for a good coffee in a cool city. The music playing was old school hip hop which I really added to the atmosphere of the place being filled by all of the too cool for school Spaniards in the city and wannabe tourists trying to fit in. I'm not sure whether it's because I'm just not "quite" cool enough, but to me the music was just too loud. It was difficult to hold a conversation and that's more important than reminiscing about my childhood car journeys. Overall great place, rammed full of the coolest people, serving great coffee. If you want somewhere a little more chilled then go to Nomad instead.
google avatar

Mesut C.

Yelp
I mean, I know what it's like to run a place like that since I have my own. But he really needs a helping hand collecting the dishes ;) Coffee was great, nice atmosphere, looks like they built it on their own - nice! Go for it! One of the few good coffee shops in town (yet).
google avatar

Rosie Q.

Yelp
Great third wave coffee! Highly recommend stopping here for some good quality coffee :)
google avatar

Mischa H.

Yelp
This place is hidden away in the back streets of the gothic quarter. If you're looking for high quality espresso based coffee, this was the best I found in Barcelona. My latte was strong, rich and chocolaty with smooth creamy milk. We got a take away coffee and wandered the surrounding cobblestone lane ways. A must for coffee nuts while visiting Barcelona!
google avatar

Jacob W.

Yelp
I can't believe this place exists. It's a Satan-themed, high end coffee bar, and they serve food but it's kinda whatever food they feel like with no particular theme. They have a sign outside that says "F- Yelp" but I'm sure they won't actually mind a little free publicity. My dining companion and I both started with coffee (duh). I opted for a double espresso, which was fabulous, and she had a flat white with oat milk, which is a plant-based milk substitute that no one drinks in the states but they seem to really like in Barcelona. I tried this and liked it a lot-- oat milk has a distinctive oat flavor that prevents it from being a "fake milk," and brings it into its own category. It holds a nice foam too! My dining companion had the everything salad, which is indeed a salad that seems to have most of the world's known foods in it-- chickpeas and thick cut bacon, kale, a really beautiful egg-- very well dressed too. I had the vegetable pita, a delicious tender pita with middle eastern spiced vegetables, particularly excellent roast cauliflower and a sauce of considerable spice. Both were great and if I came back I'd want to try the Japanese breakfast. A lot of reviewers on here are complaining that the service is slow and gruff. I found them to be totally polite and gracious here but-- yeah it's pretty slow. Just keep that in mind when you're budgeting your time; after all, you're in Barcelona so you should relaaaaax, right?

Yelp
Finally a place with good coffee in Barcelona. Spain is usually like a desert for coffee lovers (granted slightly better than Italy but what is not when it comes to coffee...). This nicely designed little coffee place that is nowadays in Barro Gothic (used to be in Raval) serves up some great coffees. Roasting their owns beans and while it may not compete with the best in the world it is still very good coffee and for those of you into the whole third wave of coffee (yes, it is getting a bit tired but still mention it so you know what to expect...) this is very good. They serve very good cold brews, a nice selection of filter coffees (V60, Aeropress) as well as very good espresso based beverages as well. The place does have a hipster feel to it so if you are allergic to that sort of thing this is not the place for you. I did however like it, nicely designed, friendly and knowledgeable staff. The place can also seat around 30 people, no comfy chairs or such, just high chair around a big table or at the windows. The bright and airy feeling gives the fairly small space a roomy feel. There is also a limited range of food served as well as some beer. The drawbacks are no free wifi and no cards accepted. Still the top place in Barcelona for coffee.
google avatar

Nick S.

Yelp
Satan's doesn't have the best coffee in Barca, but it's close. I'd most liken their flat white to Blue Bottle's latte in San Francisco, with all the positive and negative connotations that come with the association. Each cup is hand crafted and there's a fantastic attention to detail. The balance of milk and espresso is spot on, and it's immediately drinkable after being served. But, like Blue Bottle, I find the espresso unnecessarily bitter. Not enough to ruin the beverage, but enough.
google avatar

Mechteld S.

Yelp
Favorite hidden gem in el Gotic. Would have never found this cute place if I didn't knew it beforehand. Love the concept/interior, kind of hipster which I like. They have delicious coffee and breakfast/pies/lunch menu. Must visit! Oh and they also sell their own sweaters which I find really cool.
google avatar

Yelp
Eat here, drink here, relax here. The yogurt dish is amazing. Every other item I have seen come out of the kitchen looks delicious & fresh. I don't believe they have WiFi, but you can make due. #BCN

Yelp
This place is awesome. Really cozy, tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Barcelona. The Japanese breakfast is so good - I crave it still - the rice, the pork belly, the pickled veggies and miso soup. the perfect spot to start a slow morning.

Yelp
A nice place for just a coffee or a breakfast. Interesting menu, not so much but very good! It's a real hangout, recommended!
google avatar

Yelp
Superb cold brew coffee. Beautiful interior as well and in a quiet area (to me anyway).
google avatar

Chris B.

Yelp
Definitely tucked into the Gothic quarter. Google maps and Apple Maps both threw me for a couple loops. But I finally found my way in and the coffee was excellent. The staff is friendly. Give it a try.
google avatar

Peter M.

Yelp
It's tough to get a bad cup of coffee in Barcelona, and Satan's delivers. I thought it was gimmicky at first, playing off the many church's in the area. And, to be honest, that's their 'hook'. Very good coffee and chill vibe.
google avatar

Lun H.

Yelp
A lovely nice little coffee shop hiding in the alley. Maybe one of the owners is Japanese, hence some country style Japanese dishes. Also the yougurts are awesome, delicate and healthy!
google avatar

Marine B.

Yelp
Too focused on being hipster, not enough on being a good coffee place - we ordered a filter coffee (€2) and it came lukewarm from an old pot... We didn't tried food, but the plates of donuts exposed in the room didn't seem very appetizing. Also: no wifi, no decaffeinated coffee, and trolleys are forbidden - these are the rules of the place, proudly written in the entrance, and I can't begin to say how much I disapprove...
google avatar

Anna C.

Yelp
2 € mochas?! Satan's coffee corner really is just but a corner; there's no place to hang around - this isn't your ordinary coffee house. A nice british man, whom roasts his own beans, serves you coffee in hand-stamped cups! (Through a windowsill!) best two euros spent on coffee. His latte art is a plus too! This is most definitely my go to coffee spot in barcelona.
google avatar

Lewis W.

Yelp
I was really excited to try this place due to the rave reviews. But once we got there it was a disappointment. Whilst the ambience and interior is nice. The staff were pretentious and unhelpful. We waited in a queue, when we reached the counter and the baristas found out that we don't speak much Spanish, they ignored us and served other Spanish (and Catalan) speaking customers, telling us to sit down. After all the other customers were served, we expected a barista to come take our order but no, they walked off and went on their phones. We waited 20 minutes with no one coming over, so walked out. Coffee looked okay, come if you like pretentious hipsters pretending they are better than you.
google avatar

Yelp
Nothing special, don't spend a breakfast here if you're in town for only a couple of days - go get a tortilla instead ;)
google avatar

Marie M.

Yelp
Very cool ambiance to enjoy great coffee and food ! Ive only tried the flat white which was of a high quality. My neighbour got this amazing yogurt sweet potatoes nuts and date that looked delicious !
google avatar

Heywood S.

Yelp
To be honest. Some of the best coffee and cake in Barcelona. The staff are super friendly and the environment is warm and comfortable. Make sure you have a heavy purse though because the coffee is like liquid gold there, by price. But you can't put value on good coffee these days. They also do other savory foods but to be honest when that velvet cake is staring at you, who needs a baguette.
google avatar

Bill M.

Yelp
In the top three best espressos I've had in my life, and out of the busy tourist area. Loved it.
google avatar

Rachel R.

Yelp
Best coffee in Barcelona! And the staff is very friendly though the signage might make you think otherwise. :-). The food all looked fantastic. Expect crowds on weekends.

Yelp
I'm not sure why Barcelona people want to teleport to Bushwick. Maybe because it's in the Barri Gotic, visitors from Brooklyn can feel at home with the casual, wan 'hey, what can I get you' service (though the Spanish barista is way warmer than a hipster with a beard equal or more .) All the Bushwick design tropes are there, a thin black awning with no name, an indigo accent wall, to go cups stamped with a minimalistic typeface. Pared down tables where Nordic tourists stare at people coming in. Though, the cook ratchets up the salad tattoo game. He has tattoos of vegetables going up his neck and has shaved his head so we don't miss the whisk tattoo at the top of his head. He's all in. A Spanish tattooed hipster reads a poetry periodical and ignores me like a champ but not totally on purpose. This place improves on the flat white and prepares it by European standards and high quality. It is mellow and delicious, one of the better ones I've had. The cortado is decently made, but I like el magnifico's better and I found the espresso slightly bitter. My favorite way to drink coffee in Spain is at a neighborhood bar at a random time, with lots of people that shouldn't be there, old people, kids, dogs. Why ruin a good thing and bring in America's intense desire to consume authenticity and the alienation that experiencing life by eating and drinking it? Our coffee shops are a bare facsimile of European leisure. As long as you maintain your warmth and openness, you can totally copy Bushwick.

Yelp
Dope espresso, solid cold brew, rad staff. Checked out a few coffee shops in Barcelona and this is definitely my favorite.

Yelp
A very cute and rebellious vibe, great name, on my favorite corner in Barcelona. Coffee very third wave.

Yelp
Is it Sunday? Do you need great coffee? Best to come here. Come if it's not Sunday, too. Great little shop with delicious toasts and coffee. Tucked off the main streets this is one shop to seek out for the connoisseur of fine bean-based products.

Jin S.

Yelp
worst coffee and service. I've traveled all around the world and was excited to visit here which js rated as the beat coffee in Barcelona. Coffee tastes bad and service is worse.
