Saturday Dumpling Company - South Minneapolis

A charming place with flavorful food. The dumplings tasted fresh with the right amount of everything. I liked the ginger scallion sauce, I haven't seen that in other places. The black sesame balls were so unique, it piqued my interest in trying more black sesame flavors. The veggie rice bowl, I was disappointed only because it was sweet which I should have anticipated as it had 'caramelized' eggplant. Less rice and more veggies / tofu would have been nicer too. The staff was great and the prices reasonable.

This place is great! I live nearby, and I’ve been sad to see the departure of first Lucky Oven, and then Cafe Ceres, as beloved neighborhood fixtures. But now having been to Saturday Dumpling Club a few times, it’s a good next chapter. My 7 year old loved the Apple danish and hashbrown, and i had a sausage and egg sandwich. All of it delicious and the staff was great.

What fun! I went with mum and I got the hashbrown congee and special Peking duck dumplings. The hashbrown congee was ridiculously crispy on the outside, with fluffy congee inside. The garlic sauce served with it was also excellent. My Peking duck dumplings were great, with the one crunchy edge being particularly good. The orange hoisin sauce served with them gave the perfect Peking duck flavor. The interior is cozy and modern. Small, but enough space for everyone. It's definitely worth another visit to try more items!

The staff was so so nice, which always helps elevate everything else. It was relatively quiet, but the touchscreen kiosks made it super convenient and quick to get food. The veggie dumplings were so so tasty!

Everything here is delicious - get any of the dumplings with the O.G. sauce, and the spicy chicken focaccia sandwich. Yum! We’re coming back for breakfast 😋

Absolutely loved our food here. It’s a smaller place, so seating was limited during a cold, winter day. Everything we ordered was amazing — we got the pork dumplings with the ginger scallion (5/5 ⭐️) and soy sauces and then the spicy chicken sandwich. The Hong Kong milk tea was also really delicious. Service was 10/10, and the atmosphere was friendly, cozy, and not too loud. Food came out quick, even with a place full of people. We’ll absolutely be back!

Delicious food and very friendly service!! I had the pork and cabbage dumplings and cumin fries. I loved both. Highly recommend going here!

Short of moving here, the Hainanese chicken salad sandwich is worth finding reasons to find yourself in this neighborhood. It was so good, no pickled onion or fried scallion got left behind in that wrapper. Definitely a destination sandwich, topping in my opinion their famous chicken Caesar in the NE. Other notables: -This place has 2 other Scallion Focaccia sandwiches, a Char Siu Bowl and egg breakfast sandwiches not at the NE location. -Plus 4 types of traditional American and French bakery goods. No Asian twist to them and they sell out early. -They have counter seats where you can see the cooking line in action. -Friendly staff!
