Found this place on Instagram & saw that they sold soul food. If you know Dallas, it’s extremely DIFFICULT to find soup food on a Sunday.
So I drove 43 mins to give it a shot. Overall, it was an average experience.
It’s located inside a gas station, so the atmosphere isn’t “restaurant” if that makes sense .
I ordered shrimp & chicken pasta, & an oxtail plate with greens, yams, Mac & cheese.
I included a picture below of the pasta. If you can see, there’s a piece of hair on the pasta. I know it isn’t line because mine is blond. It was ok until I seen that 7/10 (before the hair)
The oxtails were ok. Tender but a little on the salty side. Nothing stood Out about them but they were good. But baby the yams & greens…AMAZING OMG BEST YAMS IVE HAD IN A MIN!!! The Mac I didn’t really care for.
Overall it was ok. Probably not worth the drive but I will most definitely be back if I’m in the area
