Where to Feast During SF Pride 2018

"This relatively new Asian-fusion takeout spot in the Castro is a god-send both for its healthy bowl options, and for its hangover-helping, Mexican-Korean-mashup gut-bombs like the kimchi quesadilla and the Saucy Asian fries (topped with bulgogi beef and spicy pork, caramelized kimchi, cheese, guac, onions, and kimchi aioli. Poke bowls and ramen are also on offer, as are a California burrito (with fries inside) and Asian tacos." - Jay C. Barmann

26 of the Best Counter Service Spots in San Francisco - Eater SF

"Korean fusion cuisine — or mashups and remixes, in the Saucy Asian parlance — are what's up at this charming corner Castro space. Kimchi burritos, satisfying bibimbap, and poke bowls are all good to go or to eat in at communal tables in a bright, dare we say saucy, space that's decorated with neon and brightly-colored murals." - Stefanie Tuder, Ellen Fort, Caleb Pershan

Google
This place does not get enough recognition it deserves. Part of me wants to gatekeep this put I can't tie down the great meals every time I'm here only to myself. Listen to me and get the Saucy Asian Bowl over Spicy Pork or Bulgogi. It will shatter your mind and alter your life and will cause you to question why has this been hiding from you its entire life. Every time I'm in the city, I go out of my way to the Castro just to hit Saucy Asian. Whenever I have family in town, I gotta take them to Saucy Asian. The service is great, the food and flavors are not only consistent, but its a solid bang for your buck. You are sleeping on this if you haven't tried this.

Google
Tasty food , fast service, nice place .. more of a takeaway with a few chairs to eat in, rather than actual restaurant, but seemed popular with the locals which is usually a good sign

Google
Asian mexican fusion restaurant with lots of veggie options! Highly recommend the kimchi quesadilla

Google
Saucy Asian is a flavor-packed gem in San Francisco! The Korean BBQ tacos are next-level, perfectly seasoned and full of bold flavors and the kimchi fried rice is a must-try. The sauces truly live up to the name, adding an amazing kick to every bite. The vibe is fun, the staff is super friendly, and portions are generous. If you’re craving creative, delicious Korean-inspired street food, this is the spot!

Google
The bowls and tteokbokki were all extremely flavorful and filling. The tteokbokki is not saucy like in other establishments, it does seem to be a different style of preparation, but it still SO good. The japchae was fresh and light, not amazing but still good. The stars of the show were definitely the bibimbap and the saucy bowl. Really recommend the spicy chicken vs the soy chicken. The portions are very generous, the eggs on the bibimbap are perfectly poached, it was an amazing combination of flavors and textures. I can’t wait to eat here again and will definitely recommend it to people in the area. I need to try their saucy fries too, they looked amazing.

Google
Been wanting to try this place for a long time but for many reasons it never presented to be the rite times. Today was the day I wasn’t disappointed, it was actually better than I thought. A Good fast food option with a healthy touch. I got a Saucy Bowl with beef Bulgogi and a side of crab Salad. Removed the rice from the bowl as in my opinion it just takes away from the contents that I want more of. Japchae with the mixed greens were a perfect combo. Next time I will add two sides of crab salad instead of just one. The crab with the Bulgogi was a real treat! Pull up and get sauces you won’t regret it.

Google
Decent poke spot - bit pricey for what they serve but the food is good.

Google
Very difficult to find rice cakes in any capacity of take out so I was excited from the start. The kimchi burrito with only a $1 up charge for beef bulgogi was very affordable, especially for the size of the burrito and handmade chips. Thoroughly impressed and would recommend those visiting to try, especially if you’re not wanting to drop $40-60 for a meal! From my understanding though, very limited if any at all gluten free options (which is expected since most items have soy sauce)

Yelp
This joint has been in the neighborhood since around 2010. I would say the quality and taste has been pretty consistent with majority of the menu. I usually go for the cali burritos or tonkatsu rice plate. They also have a rewards program!

Yelp
Saucy Asian is a tasty, easy option in the area. They've got a good variety, bowls, burritos, loaded fries, and poke. I usually go for the spicy poke bowl with salmon and tuna. The fish is always fresh, and the toppings like slaw, cucumbers, jalapeño, tobiko, and kimchi aioli add great flavor. I'm not a big kimchi fan, but the aioli is really good. Next time I'll ask for no mixed greens and go all rice, it leaned more salad than rice bowl. Staff is always friendly and happy to accommodate. On a nice day, it's great to sit outside at the sidewalk tables.

Yelp
Saucy Asian. Condiment Queen. Saucy Minx. Just a few of my nicknames. (I joke, but did anyone catch that "Love Actually" reference?) True to social media pics (no catfishing here), the top of my Saucy Asian Bowl ($15.99 + $2 for bulgogi beef) was evenly coated in gochujang aioli. The bottom is layered with rice, mixed greens, & japchae noodles; I left my bowl unmixed which made each bite a flavor & textural surprise with additional crunchy elements coming from kimchi, slaw, & fried shallots. As the restaurant fuses Korean & Mexican flavors, I couldn't leave without ordering their tacos & burrito. My bf enjoyed the Spicy Pork Street Tacos ($14.49), so much so that he polished off all three in one sitting. The Cali Burrito ($14.99) was filled with Soy Sauce Chicken (thigh meat), fries, guac, cheese, cream, pico, & scallions, but the dominant flavor was their delicious garlic sauce. Generous portions, perfect for sharing. Well-made food for people who, like me, can't get enough of sauces & condiments. It took me too long to finally try Saucy Asian but I plan to make up for lost time by having their Kimchi Burrito & Bibimbap ASAP.

Yelp
We ordered and dined in at Saucy Asian. Not sure if there were understaffed for the day, but it took quite a while for our food to come out. I think people normally order DoorDash from here and that's why there were so many orders even though the restaurant was pretty empty. The food was good, but not consistent. My friend and I ordered the exact same poke bowl but his was visibly significantly larger than mine. It's kind of a gamble, much like chipotle. Some days you will get a large bowl, some days it seems the fish is scarce. It would be nice to order and go to a nearby park to eat it for a picnic.

Yelp
Great poke spot! Came here for a to-go lunch on a Friday afternoon and there was no line. The inside decor is very colorful and fun, and there's a bit of seating inside if you wanted to eat there. The cashier was super friendly! I got the Island Poke Bowl with rice base. The ingredients were so delicious and balanced! Good proportions of all ingredients, and they don't skimp out on the fish. The fish tasted fresh and the sauce wasn't overdone, which is a problem I have with many poke places. Had a relaxing afternoon eating my bowl in Mission Dolores -- would come again!

Yelp
Came here with a friend on a Thursday for dinner and man was this delicious! I loved how much food this came with - the kimchi burrito was incredible, it had so much flavor for a burrito. Good: - Good value for price - Unique dishes that are Asian fusion - Nice staff that helped recommend the right dish - Cool vibes, it had LED lights inside and had a fun aura Bad: - Super casual place, overall Overall would come again!

Yelp
I'm amazed by the prices they offer here! It's hard to find a solid meal in SF that retails at $12.99, but Saucy Asian's menu all hovers around the under $15 mark, for some delicious well portioned food! I got the tonkatsu bowl, and it was delicious. The rice was the perfect texture, and it wasn't too oversauced. I'll definitely be coming back when I need a quick bowl fix!

Yelp
Been here enough times that I felt it was time to give a strong review. I honestly believe korean-Mexican fusion is one of the best food fusions. The burritos here are massive, tasty, and incredibly filling (and so satisfying). At just a few blocks from Dolores, I'd recommend grabbing a burrito to go and enjoying it in the park. My go-to order is a kimchi burrito with guac and either spicy chicken or beef bulgogi. Prices seem to be a bit higher on delivery apps so I'd recommend ordering in person- the wait isn't too long and the ambiance is decent. I normally end my reviews with whether or not I'll go back, but as I've been here (or ordered from here) multiple times even though I live over a mile away, I think that sufficiently covers my feelings about this restaurant.

Yelp
The food is delicious, but the customer service has absolutely tanked since they first opened. I used to love this place, but won't return after being told I couldn't pick up the food I ordered and paid for online through their website. It might not be the best idea to tell people they can't have food the moment they step inside, before saying hello. Especially if they show up half an hour before your restaurant closes to pick up the order placed earlier in the day for pick up. As someone who works in customer service, that was absolutely ridiculous behavior.

Yelp
This place is nice inside, though it's somehow not really conducive to hanging out. There are a few tables, but it's more of a takeaway place. Service is efficient. We got a Kimchi Burrito and a Saucy Asian Burrito with bulgogi. Both of them were tasty and well-portioned. It comes with good corn chips and salsa The prices are reasonable. I'm often skeptical of fusion type cuisine, but classic Korean American food does well as a burrito! I'll be back for a casual bite.

Yelp
Just stopped in for a quick bite while running around after hearing several recommendations and wasn't disappointed! Only ended up trying the saucy Asian tacos but everything people around me were eating looked and smelled really good. Tacos were very good, crema stood out as a highlight. Asian fusion has been a fad for a while and some places fall flat while others really nail it. I would say, in my brief and limited experience, that Saucy Asian is much closer to the latter, but not all the way there. Definitely worth a try.

Yelp
Absolutely recommend saucy Asian if you are in the Castro! Not only was it super fast, great friendly service, but also affordable for the city! The saucy bowl with shittake mushrooms was perfect for vegetarians and filling! It is seasoned with their delicious sauce which next time I'm going to ask for more on the side. Really nice veggies and just a perfect size for a meal. The star for my boyfriend was the saucy Philly cheese steak. I was so impressed with the flavors and how delicious the cheese, steak and sauce all melded together. Probably one of my favorite cheese steaks ever!!

Yelp
Korean food is one of my favorite cuisine and I understand it's a fusion spot but I just didn't love it. I ordered the Cali burrito and it was good but I don't think I would order it again. I would like to try the Bibimbap. I thought the Cali burrito was very saucy. Obviously it's called Saucy Asian but I think I could do without the sauce, or maybe on the side. I'd like to come back and try to Bibimbap. The place was clean, the service was nice and I got my food pretty quickly. It's a nice establishment.

Jessica B.

Yelp
I dream about their burrito bowl with tofu and a giant side of ddeokbokki. Everything is super flavorful, filling, and fresh (and they're fast too).

Nuala G.

Yelp
Gives me and everyone I know the runs every time. Like soooo bad. Super pricey. Tastes good tho.

Yelp
SAUCY!! In all honesty, I been wanting to try this place for a minute after seeing it every-time I go to Dolores Park and it did not disappoint. I'm always a little hesitant when I get fusion because in my experience it's either really good or sub par but was I so wrong. The food had the perfect amount of flavoring and with the option to choose add on its a win. The portions are so very generous and staff is welcoming. Adding it to my list of go-to eats!
google avatar

Yelp
A cute little place to grab a bite. Have to option of to-go or dine in. Cashier was very quick and attentive. Explained the menu with questions we had and got our food out to us in a timely manner. Lots of flavors and big portion for what you're paying

Yelp
THEY MASSIVELY UPGRADED THEIR UTENSILS!!!!! Chopsticks in every order! Heavy duty fork! A high quality napkin, not wrapped in tape! My years of concerns are gone. Now my secret recommendations: - Spicy Pork Saucy Asian Bowl - yeAaaa - Saucy Asian Style Poke Bowl - yyyuuiup !! Get the crab add-on every time!!!

Yelp
This is my go to spot for ordering into the office. our go to order is the saucy asian fries with shrimp, saucy asian bulgogi burrito and saucy asian bowl with mixed greens and jap char the saucy asian fries are a must to order. they pile on the guac, sour cream, special sauce, jalapeños, and you must pick shrimp for protein. the fries are shoestring but bigger ( think McDonalds size ) so its nice and crispy. the saucy asian bowl is a fully complete meal in itself. i like to get the combo based with greens and jap chae noodles. bomb. Saucy Asian has always been a reliable option for my office lunch orders. The food and quality is always consistent. they have expanded and are in the eastbay as well. i believe the grand opening is this month. Hopefully my review gives the yelp audience an idea of what to order!

Yelp
Made my way to Saucy Asian after training earlier today. The restaurant is pretty nice- it's got good, urban vibes. A lot of options on the menu, but I ended up going with the kimchi burrito (spicy pork + an extra egg). The burrito is 1lb flavor bomb- with so much going on you think it'd be too much, but it was pretty balanced, and the filling ratio was quite good as well. The rice wasn't hard, nothing was cold, the flavors were good, and though saucy, I was able to enjoy my burrito in the car without any spillage problems. My order also came with chips and salsa- bonus! I'll be sure to come back and try something new soon. Thanks Team Saucy Asian!

Yelp
huge portions, food came out so fast. poached egg on bibimbap was delish although I wish it came with kimchi

Yelp
Like they say "Life is a Highway" and somehow we didn't get a speeding ticket for how fast this year has been going by. I got to spend my spring break up in SF taking care of some personal matters. I really enjoyed the artwork and decorations which reminded me of a night market food stand. It wasn't very busy at the time, and the workers were patient with us not knowing what to order. Just like the game Smashbros, I felt as though i was looking at the "choose my fighter" I chose Saucy Asians, and my opponent was Chipotle. My first time and my recent visit This spot gave me the familiarity feeling of an Americanized Korean Chipotle grab-and-go takeout service. Finally, after looking at the menu for quite some time i was able to decide my,"character" which was a bowl with what i think was Bigolgi. Still trying to figure out what in the world they did, but the sauce on top was top-notch. I was so into the food that I was enjoying my bowl like no other making and munching it faster than Kirby sitting at the dining table. With every Bite i could feel the battle of which place was going to like better just as if it was the final round with little to no health left. The final match comes to an end as i could no longer stuff myself with another bite of my bowl. No doubt that the battle was won by Saucy Asian which kicked Chipotle right off the map.

Yelp
I'm a sucker for fusion cuisine and saucy Asian went above and beyond! I ordered the kimchi burrito, which was so flavorful and juicy. It wasn't too spicy (I have a baby spice tolerance) but there was still a nice kick to it. The burrito was massive, for only $13! There's not much seating, but it was empty when I went (weekday 6:30pm). Definitely check this out if you're in the area!

Greg B.

Yelp
I just discovered Saucy Asian last week and have had it 5 times since. The Saucy Asian bowl and the bibimbap are delicious. The sauces are spicy but balanced, vegetables are fresh, and portions sizes are very very generous. Location is convenient and the staff has been super nice every time I've been there. Highly recommend!
google avatar

Katie C.

Yelp
Saucy Asian is the perfect, quick (and sneakily maybe nap inducing) lunch to pick up in the Castro / Dolores area. I've never been when there has been a wait and in general they are quite speedy with the food. It's priced around the same as other lunch options such as Poke Bowl. Ordered the Bibimbap with Bulgogi Beef. Packed with veggies and a great portion of rice to greens. The poached egg is really good, with a soft yolk. They hold up to the name, it definitely was saucy. I wish the Bulgogi was spicy hehe but that's my only feedback. My star rating: 5 - must go!!! 4 - liked it, give it a try! 3 - it was alright 2 - I probably won't go back 1 - turnaround and run
google avatar

Hillary I.

Yelp
I stopped in for Poke after the gym. I ordered the island poke with a mix of tuna and salmon. This was some of the most flavorful Poke I've ever had! I ordered all sauces on the side which allowed me to kind of control the flavors, but the soy sauce blend that comes with the island poke bowl was delicious! It paired perfectly with the coconut rice and the crispy shallots. I also appreciated that the bowl had a liberal amount of both greens and rice so it felt healthy but still satisfying. There is not really space to dine inside here. Just some seating along the wall on a bar. There are a few tables outside if you want to eat there, but those are limited. For the price and the quality, this is a local neighborhood gem!
google avatar

Yelp
Been wanting to try this place for a bit. They seem to do a lot of delivery orders, they reacted surprised/thrown off that I wanted to order at the register. Had the saucy Asian bowl with spicy chicken and the spicy poke bowl. Both delicious. Looking forward to door dashing some of their other menu items.
google avatar

Yelp
Walking through my old stomping grounds this restaurant is located just across the street of the elementary school I attended in San Francisco. When I went to High School this place was a liquor store. This spot now as a restaurant has one of the best cheese steaks I ever had and the secret ingredient is the Beef Bulgogi. The Saucy Asian bowl with spicy pork was delicious. The service was great. I will have to comeback for the cheesesteak again.
google avatar

Areeta W.

Yelp
If there's anything you should try here, it's the Seoul Cheesesteak: definitely got me closing my eyes while I eat in order to have the full experience of it! I'd definitely come here again to try different things. This is the type of place where you order at the front and just eat anywhere. Although there's not much seating, most people just pick up and leave.
google avatar

Parita A.

Yelp
Very delicious and great value. Got the burrito bowl with mushrooms and it was perfectly spicy (beware of the jalapeños - they are fiery) and delicious. The potstickers were okay - not great, not bad but okay. The service as quick and the the atmosphere was more so fast casual.

Emma S.

Yelp
Portions are small for the price, but the bimbimbap was really good. Unfortunately there was mud in my food :( We ordered this for an office lunch and everybody was commenting how tasty their food was while we were eating. I bit into something gritty and tried to brush it off, but eventually encountered a blob of mud in my food. I assume it came from the mixed greens. I tried to push it to the side, but then saw another blob. I couldn't eat anymore and felt sick to my stomach. I'd have a hard time wanting to eat here again after that, especially because some component of greens is important in bibimbap, so I wouldn't want to omit it, but they do not seem to have another option. Unfortunate. Makes me wonder if they are just not washing their greens at all, or just not well enough.
google avatar

Julia C.

Yelp
Boyfriend and I both liked our bowls from Saucy Asian! It's a fast casual place. Order and pay at the counter and they bring your food. There are two two-person tables outside. I got the spicy poke bowl, which comes with spicy mayo and a generous heaping of salmon. Boyfriend got the Saucy Asian Bowl. Both were tasty! My boyfriend didn't like the japchae in his bowl, so maybe he would go with just the bibimbap bowl next time. I would also like to try to bibimbap bowl next time.
google avatar

Jessica L.

Yelp
I had the bulgogi bibimbap with japchae noodles today and it was so delicious! Everything has perfect texture and was super flavorful. I liked the pickled radish that came with it. My side of potstickers was also super crispy with lots of filling and sauce!
google avatar

Yelp
Fresh, Well Seasoned Food and Pleasant Service. Parking was not bad though I did arrive at around 7:30pm. The service as always was friendly and flawless, with my order being a Saucy Asian Burrito, that was generously filled, and comprised of well seasoned components, in addition it was accompanied with chips that were tasty and freshly made. In the end it was a nice Dinner that was more then ample and satisfying. This is not my first time at Saucy, and can happily recommend their Poke and Rice Bowls also.
google avatar

Alli W.

Yelp
This is it. THIS IS IT. Ubereated their cali burrito with garlic shrimp and spicy poke with combo base + tuna & salmon and let me tell you.... we were mind blown. Cali burrito with garlic shrimp: GENEROUS amount of shrimps. Tasty. Delicious. Sauce inside was so good. Everything blended it well together and the garlic shrimp!!! Soooo delicious! Spicy poke: Actually spicy. Combo base included mixed greens and rice. Generous amount of salmon and tuna. Fresh and buttery. Again, tastes VERY delicious. Tteokbokki: Spicy!! Omg the sauce (I taste gochujang) is to die for. And the rice cakes are cooked perfectly -- neither too soft nor too chewy. I'm super picky with my food and usually only nibble here and there, but I finished my poke and half of the burrito. Try it! Would recommend this place and come back to try other items on their menu.
google avatar

Suzanne C.

Yelp
The poke salad is good portion and not too saucy. Good flavors. Quick service model but they do have a few tables outside.
google avatar

Arjun R.

Yelp
Friendly staff, reasonable priced, good food. If you live in the area and want reasonably priced and relatively healthy food (ie: not fried/pizza), this is the place. A good place for a quick lunch or dinner/take out, without spending $30.
google avatar

Enari L.

Yelp
Pleasantly surprised! Fast, convenient, fresh and tasty! I never came here because I saw that many of the dishes were spicy, but thanks to all the customization options, I was able to get something to eat that suited my tastes. My bowl was really good, with a good amount of protein, salad, and carbs. The kimchi was really good as well, as it wasn't spicy but still had that pickled, fermented taste. Only thing I wish is that they used something other than a round paper bowl to pack the food, maybe a rectangular one instead, because all the different types of sides like the noodles, salad, rice were all just buried on top of each other. I'm excited to go back and try the rest of the menu. I would say this is better than Senior Sisig, and a nice alternative to Gai and Mr. Hen nearby.
google avatar

Kangbao B.

Yelp
This cute restaurant in San Francisco's Mission District is a fun find. It's clean, and surprisingly, not too crowded. The menu offers a unique fusion of Mexican and Korean cuisines, and as a big fan of Korean food, I found the meal especially delicious. The fried chicken was perfectly crispy and seasoned well, and the kimchee fried rice had just the right amount of sauce. If you're in the district, I highly recommend stopping by and dining here.
google avatar

Therese S.

Yelp
I happened to find this place on my walk home, and I enjoyed the Saucy Asian Burrito with pan fried tofu a lot! It came out very quickly, was very saucy and had a nice fusion flavor between the rice, avocado, and gochujang aioli. The chips they gave on the side were nice and crispy too! I do wish the burrito would have had more spice or crunch to it, as it was pretty soft and saucy, but overall not many complaints! I'll definitely be returning here to try their other items!
google avatar

Yelp
This food was sheer perfection. I had the following: #1 BIBIMBAP with Bulgogi Beef (added Crab Salad and Spicy Pork, extra jalapeños) #2 KIMCHI BURRITO with Bulgogi Beef (added Garlic Shrimp) #3 DDEOKBOKKI #4 SEOUL CHEESESTEAK and #5 ZIPPEE My top favs are the mouthwatering Seoul Cheesesteak which I also as another reviewer said, "ate with my eyes closed to savour every bite that danced on my tongue" and the Bibimbap which was loaded with yummy veggies and meat. I'd get 2 extra eggs next time as they are delish!!!! I didn't care much for the Kimchi burrito but 1 not so good could never change my satisfaction with the former two cheesesteak and bibimbap super stars. The DDEOKBOKKI was good but I'm American and maybe the chewyness of this dish threw me off. If you're used to it, I can totally see this dish being a winner to others. The house sauce is a concoction made of dreams come true. I could literally pour it in my mouth from the bottle after every bite of everything. Seriously yummers yummiessssssss yes sir gimme more!!!!!!!! Finally, the YIPPIE sealed my thirst after gorging on my lunch. I also put my leftovers in the hotel fridge and brought them back to Atlanta and ate every scrumptious bite over 2 days. Total cost was about $75 and for what I got, it was a great investment in my love handles. I will be landing on this place like a vulture on a dead unattended carcass as soon as San Fran is within reach. Please support them so they don't close shop. So many of my all time favorite SF places like Tacorea closed over the last 2 years. I'd be devastated if this one shut the doors.

Yelp
I've always wanted to try out this spot and so glad I did! I got the saucy Asian fries which came with bulgogi, cheese, guac, crema, tomatoes, onions, jalapeño and some kind of yummy sauce on top! The fries were crispy and it paired well with all the toppings. Def recommend to share! I also got the spicy rice cakes to try and they were sweet, savory and spicy! The rice cakes had a nice chew and a good dish to share as well. It's a good casual place to grab some yummy food! I want to try their other dishes next time.

Yelp
I was really hungry after going to the gym and I didn't have any food in my kitchen, so I went on DoorDash to see if I can find any healthy alternatives, but stumbled across this place that really stood out to me. I watched a YouTube video earlier in the day where they made kimchi quesadillas and to my surprise, they had some!! I ordered the kimchi quesadilla with spicy chicken and the potstickers. Something light enough to eat, but just enough to get you full. I'm surprised I didn't hear about this place sooner because all the food looked so good. The kimchi quesadilla had so many options to choose from, which is great! If you want chicken, beef, or something vegetarian it's all there. Some do have an extra fee involved, but it'll depend on what you feel like getting. Potstickers also had a choice of beef and veggie, I went with beef. PRICING: Kimchi Quesadilla: $10.49 Potstickers: $8.49 Prices are super reasonable before taxes and delivery fees, so in case you want to skip out on everything - definitely come in person. Breakdown of everything: Kimchi quesadilla: I underestimated how filling this would be and I absolutely loved it. However, it is really messy to eat and I would love more of that orange sauce they had on top. Highly recommend trying this out! You get a balance of spice, sweetness, and savory. For those of you that like spicier kimchi, this is more mild and isn't sour tasting at all. I'll definitely get this again. Potstickers: They we're so light and crunchy. I'm usually really picky with my potstickers, but these were sooo good. Very flavorful and juicy inside. Definitely something you can share with your friends (or scarf down yourself which is what I did). I was surprised they were still crispy after 30+ min of delivery in a take out box. Highly recommend coming to this spot and trying everything else! I'll definitely try more from this place.

Yelp
One of my favorite neighborhood spots when I'm in Castro. This is my go-to hangover, don't want to make dinner, just simply starving, craving Kimchi meal. There's no indoor dining and limited outdoor seating so always suggest picking up or having it delivered. Everything on the menu is delicious but I always get the spicy chicken kimchi quesadilla. Can't go wrong with a California Veggie burrito and a side of Veggie Potstickers, Ddeokbokki, and Kimchi friend rice. Outstanding service and reasonable prices.

Yelp
love the vibe and most importantly i LIVE for their rice cakes. never have i ever had such a chewy, beautiful rice cake (and i've had plenty). this rice cake was crispy on the outside and perfectly chewy on the inside! definitely my new go-to place for ddeokbokki! has such a perfect amount of spice and the ambiance and seating inside are great! staff are always very kind and friendly! been here twice so far and will come again!

Yelp
I recently ordered delivery from Saucy Asian and enjoyed the kimchi burrito. I ordered it with garlic soy chicken, but the flavor of all the ingredients just kind of blended together into a nice umami. However it was the creamy texture that truly made it satisfying. Overall, a place I will order from again and again to get tasty comfort food. Personal rating: 7.5/10, a great go to for favorite comfort foods

Yelp
Great spots with no reviews popped up on Yelp listing an address that used to be Big O's. Looks like the spot is a "local kitchens" with various delicious choices! Not sure of the schedule of the places, but I was able to place an order for pick up with Saucy Asian in Lafayette. Ordered the following, and it was ready to pick up on time- Saucy Asian Burrito- Spanish rice, refried beans, guacamole, crema, cheese, lettuce, pico, gochujang aioli. Got it with spicy pork. It came with a side of salsa and chips. Good tasting burrito, but I kind of expected a bit more from a $13 burrito. It was tasty, but the salsa wasn't special. It reminded me of jarred salsa, and it had no spice to me. Kimchi Burrito - Spanish rice, refried beans, kimchi, crema, cheese, lettuce, pico, kimchi aioli. Got it with spicy chicken. I liked this one a bit more than the saucy Asian cause it had a bit more flavor. I wish it was spicier, but would get this one again. $12. Chicken Wings - soy garlic. Pretty good! I'd like to try their other wing flavors in the near future. Solid food. Can't wait to try more, wings and burritos, and also some tacos and much more, and pick up is convenient!

Yelp
I've tried the Saucy Asian Bowl and the Island Poke Bowl. My favorite among the two is the Island Poke bowl! It tastes very fresh and the sauce complements the ingredients very well. The Saucy Asian Bowl was indeed a bit too saucy for me and has lots of sodium in the sauce. All their ingredients taste really fresh. I definitely recommend the island poke bowl. It's delicious!!
