As a first-time visitor to Tampere, Sauna Restaurant Kuuma came highly recommended, and it certainly didn't disappoint, even without experiencing the sauna itself! Located right by the water, the views from Kuuma are absolutely breathtaking. The cityscape of Tampere, reflected beautifully on the lake, provides a stunning backdrop, especially as the light changes. It’s a fantastic spot to simply sit and soak in the Finnish scenery. While the name suggests a focus on the sauna experience, the restaurant and cafe areas are equally inviting. The atmosphere is warm and cozy, with a modern yet rustic charm. I opted to skip the sauna on this occasion, but found the restaurant to be a perfect place to relax and unwind. My primary reason for visiting (besides the view!) was to try their highly praised hot chocolate, and it lived up to the hype. Rich, creamy, and perfectly comforting, it was the ideal beverage to enjoy while admiring the panorama. The menu also looked promising, with various dishes that seemed to highlight local ingredients. The staff were friendly and welcoming, making the experience even more pleasant. Even if you're not planning to indulge in the sauna, Sauna Restaurant Kuuma is well worth a visit for its spectacular views, cozy ambiance, and delicious hot chocolate. It’s a tranquil escape right in the heart of Tampere, and I’d definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a scenic and relaxing break. I left feeling refreshed and with some beautiful photos!

Liked the place. Great sauna and then pretty good food. Took a little while to get the food but was pretty good. I highly recommend there cocktails. Like, all of them. Have fun!

We stumbled upon this restaurant and what a find. Service was quick and the food was excellent.

Delicious food for a reasonable price! The place is located by the water with big windows and great lighting. We started with a salad made of couscous and we had salmon with mashed carrots as the main dish, which were very very good. Definitely a great experience in Tampere!

The atmosphere of this restaurant is amazing. The white fish and risotto were good I liked the burger patties as it was cooked on coal, but the buns were burned, and fries were so dry. I forgot to take a photo from deserts, the chocolate cake was super dry.

There were six of us, some ate something sweet, some something more like real food and we had coffee etc. It was Midsummer day, a very busy day. The waiter guy was extremely friendly, nice, polite and very quick. Excellent service and delicious food.

Very good food, I had the Perch which was excellent. Good service as well and the atmosphere is nice also. We did not try the Sauna at our dinner.

I only visited the sauna here. Price depends on time of day. I booked a slot online and paid €20 for Friday evening for 1h30 + €3 to rent a towel. Clean showers and a changing room with lockers. There's a modern electric sauna and one heated by wood. View straight onto the lake.There's an area inside to chill where you can order drinks from the bar through a window. Outside there's more space to sit and you can go down to the pool in the lake.
