Best Bars in Savannah, Georgia | Eater Carolinas

"What’s better than tequila? Tequila paired with tacos. Enjoy views of the Savannah River while drinking high end tequila or specialty margaritas and cocktails like the new Desert Rose with raspberry, lime, and lemon combined with tequila, triple sec, and rose water. With a walk up margarita bar for those open container laws, to-go drinks just got easier." - Barbara Skidmore

New Plant Riverside District Adds Variety to the Dining Scene in Savannah, Georgia | Eater Carolinas

"The only restaurant that has yet to open to the public. Savannah Tequila Co. sits on the city side of Plant Riverside. Think tacos and margaritas to stay or to-go. Yes, all that taco training is finally going to pay off. Open container margaritas are in the future." - Barbara Skidmore

Came here with a small group and was able to get some outdoor seating, the dipping trio was really good. All the sauces with the roasted tomato were so good. My friend ordered the enchiladas which I tried and we also got the El Pastor tacos. It’s right on the river and nice to sit outside

Atmosphere was really nice, cleanly, and cool! We stopped here for an appetizer as lunch. I had the chicken nachos. They were superior! Super delicious, loved them! Food came reasonably fast. The reason my rating is a 3 was the service. The host didn’t seem happy to be there, they were not rude, just not as friendly. Then our waitress, while kind was not very attentive. My drink came after we were done eating. She did not check to ask how things were really, she took our order and brought our bill; someone else delivered our food. I would come back because everything was DELICIOUS, but service was slacking.

Google
The atmosphere was unique and fun as you can see in some of the pictures. Food was really good! The trio salsa is a solid appetizer, my fav salsa was the creamy jalapeño. My wife had the chicken quesadilla and I had the street tacos, al pastor and brisket. Really tasty but a little dry and smaller than o was expecting but still really good. The chicken quesadilla was for sure the best part of the meal. Would recommend coming here for one of your meals while in Savannah.

We walked in without reservation but we're able to be seated quickly. Group of 6. Service was great and so was food. We ordered a sampler trio -guac, queso and salsa (we chose roasted tomato) and it was a good choice. Then we had a flight of 10 tacos (6 options to chose from). We also got lobster and shrimp enchiladas. All food was delicious and came fast. Our server was entertaining and funny. Definitely a spot to visit again. By the river front. After dinner we saw a big container sheep pass by. Close to few rooftop places as well.

We had an overall great time today! We started in the patio but due to the rain ,carmella our server, let us go inside. She was super helpful with suggestions and had great hospitality. The food was some of the best we’ve had for Mexican food, and was very fairly priced as well.

Google
What can I say? I am speechless! The food was AMAZIN! Our server, Carmella, was fantastic, super friendly, informative, and on point with everything we needed and asked for. Brent, the bartender, makes the best margaritas we have ever had to date! Great job guys. Cheers 🍻

Google
Savannah Tequila Co. is a fantastic spot for lunch! While a bit on the pricey side, the food was absolutely worth it. The menu has clearly marked gluten-free options, plus additional dishes that can be modified. Our waitress was very knowledgeable about the menu, which gave us great confidence in our choices. I had the Chipotle and Coffee Ribs—sweet, tender, and full of flavor. My wife had the Lobster and Shrimp Enchiladas, which she really enjoyed. They also have an impressive selection of tequila, including flights for those wanting to sample different varieties. Overall, a great experience with delicious food and excellent service. Highly recommend!

Google
The food here is very good but a bit pricey, likely as a result of being in the plant Riverside district. The cocktails and tequila drink drinks are also a good pairing with any of the meals you might order. But again they’re almost $15 apiece. I had the Mezcal old-fashioned which was delicious and my wife had the River St., Paloma which she also thoroughly enjoyed. This is not the same as your local Mexican restaurant where you can go get a couple big plates of food and some drinks and leave for less than 30 bucks. That being said it is a good experience if you feel like elevating your Mexican dining experience for the evening. The only complaint we have is that sometimes the service can be a bit slow, or unmotivated which is atypical when eating in a Mexican restaurant.

Yelp
We visited with an out of country friend that had never had Mexican food. This place was a great intro for him on how good Mex food can be. He really enjoyed all the items. We ordered all options of tacos and a variety of shareables: guacamole, frijoles refritos, street corn, salsas Everything was delicious. It was such a delight to share all these wonderful foods. We also enjoyed the great service provided by everyone here. The host suggested we sit at the bar until a table became open, so we grabbed a seat at the bar and decided to stay as our bartender was the best. She basically read our minds and made us feel so welcomed. No request was too big or small, she even open the outside doors so we could enjoy the fresh breeze. We couldn't have asked for a better experience!!

Yelp
My husband and I ate there last night with some friends and had high hopes. We live in Savannah and love getting to try out different spots to recommend friends when they come into town so we try to choose restaurants very wisely, especially for the cost. Unfortunately, this spot did not meet basic expectations. The only reason this isn't a 1 star review is because the drinks were actually really good. I got the spicy margarita and loved it. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their drinks too. The bartenders were quick and provided great service along with our server when we got seated. However, the food is awful. I rarely write negative reviews but I'm honestly pretty upset with how horrible the food was and the amount it cost when it wasn't very edible. Two of us ordered the snapper and it was the worst snapper either of us ever had. I bit into a bone, it smelled very fishy, didn't taste fresh, and wasn't seasoned properly. There was a tomato sauce with it and it tasted like a can of tomato sauce was poured onto the fish. The rice that came with it was very dry, so I had to drink water just to get it down. It was so disgusting. I think I took 5 bites because I was so hungry and then couldn't eat anymore. My husband got the tuna ceviche and Caesar salad and again nothing tasted fresh. The tuna felt hard? I don't even know how to describe it other than it was not good. This meal was also very expensive, the snapper alone was $30! The chips and salsa were $10?! Absurd. There are WAY better places to eat in Savannah for that price. If you value your taste buds and wallets go elsewhere. I wouldn't even go back for the cocktail.

Yelp
This was my second attempt to visit this restaurant. The first time it was super busy and the wait was over an hour. I'm glad I circled back. We arrived midday, received a friendly welcome and were sat immediately. Our server was prompt and helpful. They remembered to keep my very thirsty table mate with full glasses of water. The food menu is simple and the drink menu was extensive. They even had bunny themed drinks since it was Easter weekend. Our food arrived quickly at an appropriate temperature. Even my picky 12yo was happy with the huge nacho appetizer she ordered as her meal. I had the birria tacos and the bunny punch. The tacos were well seasoned and tender but a little greasy. The bunny punch was very cute and added a bright spot to my day. The restaurant was clean and well decorated. I would certainly visit again.

Yelp
Waterfront dining at its finest! We stumbled upon a gem today - Savannah Tequila Co.! The views are stunning, the vibes are lively, and the food... oh, the food! It's a must-try! We're already planning our next visit. If you're looking for a delicious spot with great service on the waterfront, look no further! #SavannahTequilaCo #WaterfrontDining #FoodieFind #SavannahGA

Yelp
Don't even know where to start this review. From the atmosphere to the service but specially the food, this place is a 5 stars! We visited the restaurant while on a work trip to Savannah and was the first place we ate at during the trip. It set our expectations for food in Savannah very high. My husband loves Mexican food and said that this was now one of his favorite spots. We ordered the fish tacos (amazing!), the street corn (perfect by themselves or added on our main course). A little tip, ask your waiter for the guacamole/salsa/queso trio which is not on the menu, why decide which of the 3 to get when you can get all of them!?

Yelp
Visited there for first time this evening and sat outside to enjoy the river traffic. Had a great but small and overpriced cucumber margarita. The boys had enchiladas which were good with some unique flavors. I had the chicken salad that was supposed to be spicy chicken with mixed greens. Turned out to be the left over butts from a head of iceberg, a sprinkling of non-spiced chicken and no dressing. I would have complained but the server wasn't attentive until we were finished. I would go again because of location but I would just order an appetizer and tea.

Yelp
This place was fantastic. The chips are safe for those with Celiac. Paired with the guacamole & pickled jalapeño it was delicious. The tacos were very good, but since they were corn and "wet" the tortilla was difficult to eat without being extremely messy. We had the Al pastor and brisket birria. Both were fantastic. As someone who cannot have gluten, I had a positive experience, no negative reaction. If you want a good drink, try the cucumber breeze. It was very good. I highly recommend this place for its impeccable service, food and atmosphere.

Yelp
Quick to be seated on a busy weekend. Service was quick and efficient. Food was lousy and expensive. Tourist trap, lots of better options around the area.
google avatar

Steve C.

Yelp
Had the Monterrey burrito and it was fresh and totally awesome! Also ordered a side of chips and salsa, both were outstanding, but it's unfortunate that they charge for them. Service was quick and friendly, although not entirely attentive. I was here on an evening during the week, and it was packed and quite loud.

Yelp
Walked in, bar staff was really kind getting us a drink. When we wanted to sit and have an appetizer, the "hostess" clearly could care less whether we lived or died. She wasn't happy that my mom was in a wheelchair and wanted us to sit out in the Georgia heat. Disabled patrons beware- they don't want your business and they will show it to you.

Yelp
We recently dined at the Savannah Tequila Co while on vacation. The entrance was a little hard to find, but its located on the water side and not through the hotel. We were greeted immediately when we arrived and were sat at a booth by the kitchen. At first glance of the menu I didn't think my kids would find much to eat. I had to go back to the receptionist desk and ask if they had kids menu, which they did! We started with the salsa trio $10, and they were all individually delicious. Included a tomato salsa, creamy jalapeno and avocado salsa. They were served with never ending chips, which is always a plus with kids. I ordered the taco trio, and to my surprise you were allowed to mix and match! I chose the Al Pastor, Baja Fish and Burria for $18. The tacos shells were fresh and the corn was moist and delicious. The kids ordered the chicken fingers and fries and taco with fries. Food service was pretty fast and service was good. Would recommend.

Yelp
Short and sweet review for Savannah Tequila Co.! We stopped by their window to get a margarita while strolling through this area. There was one person in line in front of us and we waited almost 15 minutes. They just got a new system and it seemed they were having trouble. I almost left to get a drink somewhere else, but I'm super glad I stayed in line. I got the Kessler margarita $15- Exotico Reposado, Cointreau, Grand Marnier, Lime, Orange, Salt. It was so strong and delicious. I will definitely stop here next time we visit! I really, really enjoyed this drink.

Yelp
Love the atmosphere and the food and drinks were amazing! Waitress was well informed on Celiac and mentioned that there is a dedicated Gluten Free fryer for tortilla chips and corn tortillas are prepared in a separate area. I ordered the Al Pastor, Brisket, and Asada street tacos along with the Desert Rose margarita for $35. Would highly recommended for fellow celiacs!

Yelp
The food the service the ambience was amazing. We definitely will be back. The drinks were amazing our waitress. Jacob was amazing. Loved the atmosphere.

Holly T.

Yelp
Super greasy quesadillas. Don't recommend coming here. The queso was just okay. Margs were very strong
google avatar

Haden W.

Yelp
Our server was very knowledge and super nice! The food tasted amazing as well! The Cucumber Breeze was super good and refreshing. The only issue we had was the price and lack of items to choose from! Other than that it was amazing
google avatar

Ric C.

Yelp
Top notch service from the bartender and the other bar staff. It was quite busy for a Cinco de Mayo night. Very well decorated for the festive night. Tacos looked amazing. I had the enchiladas suizas and a margarita. Both very good.

Yelp
Savannah definitely treated me well! While walking up and down River Street, I RANN into this joint!! Tequila is my absolute favorite and just off strength of that me and my sister came in and grabbed some shots and took some photos! It definitely had a nice fun setting, quick service, and great TEQUILAAAAA. Stop by if you ever get the chance to come down to Savannah, there's a lot of things to experience on River Street and this one is something you shouldn't miss out on!

Yelp
Above average food. Would love to see some vegetarian options . Kids menu can be done better . Kids quesadilla was disappointing They made me veggie version of Burrito which was good Others had enchiladas with chicken which was good too Corn off the cob was my favorite part of the meal

Yelp
Baja fish tacos and margaritas are SO delish! We went twice in 24 hrs! Highly recommend!

Yelp
We had a good dinner here - nice location right on the river. Their tacos had a lot of meat on them. I thought that the prices were a little high for what you got but you're paying for the location.
google avatar

Baylie O.

Yelp
I always love coming here for their margaritas and atmosphere! Their margarita menu changes with the season and you can't go wrong with whichever one you choose. Other things I've ordered that I've loved: Ceviche Tacos (pick 3) Nachos

Yelp
My husband and I stopped here for appetizers and drinks on a Saturday. It was pretty crowded and there would have been a wait if we didn't go to the bar. There were plenty of seats there. We both ordered margaritas and continued to sit for a while, probably over 20 minutes, before the bartender came back over to take our order. The bartender definitely had favorites... it was hard to get his attention at all from our perspective but we could see him constantly helping others. Maybe it was because we were younger? I'm not sure... but we were there entirely too long for what we went there for. We got the chips and salsa and guacamole, which were decent. Some of the meals other people had at the bar looked good. I would give it another chance!

Yelp
Stylish spot with high quality food. Nice cocktail and good service. We loved our guacamole, chicken flautas, and cucumber cocktail but everything we sampled was tasty. Not cheap but with this location it seems fair.
google avatar

Amanda G.

Yelp
On a Saturday night at 5 pm they had a table available for 8 people so we were off to a great start! Paul was our server and he was great! Knowledgeable about the menu and on top of all our needs. The food was delicious!! I ordered the chicken flautas with a side of rice. The flautas were crispy and packed with flavor and the rice was perfect and enough for 3 people. Great drink selection including corona on draft, yum!! And a huge list of tequila in case you didn't get that from the name.
google avatar

Yelp
Came in here with several friends to order drinks and I got the horchata with rum, hello very tasty. I ordered the fish tacos. I loved the tacos and the drink. Service was very good at the bar. Excellent place to grab a drink and some food.

Yelp
This was the first place we stopped at when visiting Savannah. We stayed at the JW Marriot and this was a quick and easy walk to get to from our room. We opted to sit outside so we could people watch. We got one of the last outside tables at 5:00pm on a Saturday. Drinks were amazing! Simple ingredients. It didn't taste like there were any pre made mixes here. Everything tasted delicious. I could come here multiple times for the drinks themselves. Food was good! Not the BEST Mexican I've ever had, but not the worst. We got the chips and guacamole to start. The salsa for the chips were interesting-different. I really enjoyed the guacamole. It was so fresh. Pro tip, don't eat the pickled jalapeño-it's still super spicy, haha For our entree we got the Taquiza Board. You get 10 tacos total. My husband and I are both big eaters so we crushed it. Having the guac helped some of the Tacos. Some of them needed a bit more depth or complexity of flavors. They were all basically just meat. Not sure if that was because it was the board, or that's how all of their tacos come? Overall, pretty good!

Yelp
Great location (right on the water). The food was good, but the two bartenders were the highlight. Unfortunately, I can't remember their names. One guy was from Kentucky and I believe the other fella was local. There was a group of four older people from San Diego sitting near us. They could not have been more obnoxious. Very arrogant and annoying. The Kentucky kid could not have been nicer to them, which really impressed us. They tried talking to us, but we wanted no part of their personalities. The bartender was as polite as could be. We talked to him and the other bartender for quite a while. Super nice guys who gave us all sorts of tips on places to eat and visit. I wish I knew their names just in case the owner reads these reviews. Awesome guys.

Yelp
oh my gosh if i could give this place ten stars i would. so i have allergies to dairy, gluten, onion, and garlic. which is a wild list of allergies, and it makes it really difficult to eat out at restaurants. i went into dinner tonight expecting to not be able to eat anything other than plain tortilla chips, but i was proved wrong! the staff was SO kind and helpful with creating something i could eat. the chef came out to hand me my food himself and to ensure that what he made would work. not only was it safe for me to eat, but it was INCREDIBLE. everything tasted so fresh and so yummy. i truly cannot rave enough about how caring the staff was. truly an amazing restaurant and i will definitely be coming back!!

Yelp
Sit in Paul section! That's the review! Just playing, but yea Paul was the bomb. The food was great, I had the brisket quesadilla, oysters, and the street corn. Several drinks! 11/25/22

Gorgea D.

Yelp
Kiara, my server was great !! I started with an on the rocks Kessler margarita. It was fine but not exceptional. I never order blended/frozen but for some random reason I was motivated today and it was perfection! Brought happiness I'm from CA where paying for chips and salsa is nearly considered blasphemy but salsa is my passion / make or break and I'd heard good things. I wasn't disappointed by the salsa. The trio is so very good but $10 is a LOT even in a tourist spot My "main" meal was the brisket quesadilla; very tasty. Between that and the chips and salsa I had PLENTY of food but the quesadilla was small for $19. Monetarily my expectations may be living in the 80's. I admit that I love Mexican food and after the reference I received last night for this place I fully expected to eat here for lunch and dinner but while it was good, the cost and paying that much for chips and salsa are enough of a deterrent for me to go elsewhere
google avatar

Olesya M.

Yelp
This place was very conveniently located by our hotel and upon entering, we were somewhat acknowledged by a hostess who looked bored out of her mind. It didn't feel very welcoming but I'm glad we didn't let it stop us from staying. We shared the salsa trio - the jalapeño one was my favorite. For my main I had the enchiladas bandera which was consisted of 3 different flavors: chicken tinga, beef brisket and cheese. My partner had the brisket tacos which he said were good. Although we didn't have any alcoholic beverages here, they had a good selection. Overall, a solid spot.

Yelp
We sat at the bar for appetizers and tequila. Our bartender, Trevor sure knows his tequila and recommended several for us to try from lower end to high end. All delicious. We each had carne asada, also delicious! Looking forward to returning and spending time in the Plant District and hope to see Trevor behind the bar. Kelly

Yelp
One of the best spicy margaritas I've ever had. Guacamole is off the charts. We had fish tacos to split as an "afternoon snack" along with our guacamole and it was filling and delicious. Wish we could have sat outside but sat at the bar instead and had a fun time with our bartender, Trevor. Highly recommend! ~ IG: Wander.Lust.Foodi

Yelp
Highly recommend the chicken tortilla soup-great flavorful taste. Food was good but one order came out wrong, the time it took to correct was so long everyone finished eating and paid for the meal before replacement meal was brought out. No offer to take the meal off the bill or any form of compensation.
google avatar

Patrick G.

Yelp
Extremely mediocre tacos with awful portion sizes for a fortune. Super overpriced for quality and quantity of food you get...

Yelp
Late night tequila tasting? Yes please. We stopped in after a full day and night in Savannah to have a fun nightcap with a flight of tequilas. We like tequila and mezcal but aren't per see experts in it so we put ourselves in the hands of the bartender to talk us through the options instead of picking one of the pre-selected flights. He was very knowledgeable but we may not have done as good a job as possible communicating what we wanted as we didn't love what we got. None of the three we ordered were particularly smooth and one kind of reminded us of bug spray. Yay! That having been said we chalked this up to us being less experienced than we thought and we probably should have stuck with one of the pre-selected flights. There are so many tequila and mezcal options on the menu, if you're an aficionado, you're bound to be happy here. We also had the Chip and Salsas Trio which was really really good. We liked the Jalapeno and verde a lot, and the red did the job. There aren't too many vegetarian options on the menu so eating a full meal here would have been challenging for us.

Yelp
Stopped in some tequila and stayed for a late lunch. The bartender was great. Tasty margaritas. Started with the Queso Fundidoo which had a delicious combination of Chihuahua cheese, chorizo, avocado, pico du Gallo and came with some trotilla chips and a couple of flour tortilla. We split some al pastor tacos and seafood enchiladas. Both were enjoyable. A nice place for margarita and a quick bite.

Yelp
I went savage mode on those colorful chips and guacamole. Then I proceeded to dig on the ceviche which I shouldn't had because by the time my steak came out my tank was full. BUT it looked so appealing that I still took care of that delicious dish like a real champ. I left very full but had a really good time. Good food, affordable prices, nice ambience and good service.

Yelp
Savannah Tequila Company is located on the River Walk and is designed to capture the hipster and tourist crowd that gather there. With it being on the River Walk, prices are a bit higher and by its very design, the food is not as authentic as other Mexican restaurants. Savannah Tequila Company, as the name would imply, offers a multitude of margaritas and other tequila focused drinks and it is a fun atmosphere. Again, this restaurant sits right on the River Walk, so it by design was created to appeal to tourists and hipsters and is dedicated to providing a fun experience (and, of course, separate them from a few of their hard-earned dollars in the process). The food is okay, though nothing that I would even begin to compare to anything remotely close to authentic. It also comes with a pretty high price tag. However, you have to take into consideration that this is in a tourist area and everything is priced higher. This one is a bit hard to rate. For any other location in Savannah, Georgia, what I look at the food compared to the price tag and factor in the quality of the food comma I would probably give it two or three stars. However, with this being River Walk, we expect the prices to be higher and the food to be not as good. With the good service that I received and the understanding that it is on River Walk, I am going to up it to four stars.

Yelp
Awesome food! Real Mexican food. Delicious real tacos with corn tortillas!! Delicious drinks, my favorite piña colada with TEQUILA you must try this. Tacos with carne asada and famous CHURROS !!!
google avatar

Gina D.

Yelp
We just got to go drinks but both drinks were well made and so pretty. The tequila flavor was strong but smooth. The drinks were decently priced for the location and the staff was so sweet!
google avatar

Vicky F.

Yelp
Food was really good but the service was absolutely chaotic. It is busy but the disorganization from bartenders to server to host, it probably doubles the wait time. Disappointed as it's part of JW Marriott's food and beverage.
google avatar

Nikki T.

Yelp
Walked by yesterday and loved the ambience of the outdoor seating. Thought I would stop by today and try out the food. The bartender recommended the tostada. Since, this isn't your typical Mexican restaurant, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was pleasantly surprised. My Shrimp A La Diabla tostadas had plenty of guacamole with the shrimp placed on top. The shrimp is lightly bread which I'm not used to for al a Diabla, it was really good, and not too spicy, I prefer a little more heat. Overall, service was good, food was delicious, and plated very pretty! Now let's talk about the Paloma (drink), I drank it all. It was as delicious as it looked. One of the best Palomas I've tasted.

Yelp
Heyyyyyy you guyssssss! Wow! Taquitos, tacos, street corn AMAZING! The best part is we didn't have to go inside and battle a 45 minute wait they have a walk up in the back and Evan is a total package, mixologist extraordinaire! We sat out on the benches by the fountain and it was a hit! You guys have to come check out this spot.
google avatar

Yelp
Didn't get a photo of my Baja fish tacos because I inhaled them. Everything here was delicious from the drinks, to the fresh guac & the tacos! We also got the churros for dessert & im picky with them but they were good! Our server was so fun & we were able to walk in with 7 people & get a table no problem. Definitely recommend for a Bach dinner, friends dinner or even date night.

Yelp
Savannah tequila is a nice spot. Great drinks, tasty food with great service. Prime location in the center of the river walk. Good location for a family dinner or work lunch. The smoke tequila drinks are well worth the price!!!!

Yelp
My friends and I went to Savannah Tequila Company for a birthday dinner. The birthday girl chose this restaurant because she likes Mexican food. She also enjoys Plant Riverside. We had a reservation and were seated quickly. The hostess who greeted and seated us was friendly. Our server introduced himself and asked if we had any questions etc. all of the normal banter. He was friendly. We were waiting on one member of our party. So we decided to ordered a few appetizers & a bottle of wine. Because it was going to be a bit before she arrived. We ordered the guacamole and ceviche from the appetizer menu. They are both served with chips as it is written on the menu. The guacamole is $15 and the ceviche is $14. Yes, you read that correctly. The guacamole is a dollar more than the market price fish(mahi mahi) ceviche. I found that to be odd. And that the guacamole was overpriced. But I thought that perhaps we would receive a large portion. So it would be worth the price. When the guacamole came I was extremely disappointed in the size. It was a small and not a deep bowl. The flavor was not anything to remember. It had a lot of lime, and no salt. The ceviche lacked seasoning in general. It needed salt, more citrus, & onion. There was plenty of mahi mahi in it. But all I could taste was pineapple. Because it is such a strong flavor and there was so much of the pineapple plus the juice. We only got one basket of chips. Even though we ordered two appetizers that clearly displayed on the menu that they both come with chips. There were three of us sitting at the table. It would have been nice to have two baskets of chips. Especially considering we paid for them. The chips were also lacking salt. We ordered a bottle of Kessler Chardonnay for the three of us. Our server brought our bottle. He did not present it to us as he should have. He just began to take the capsule off of the wine. As he did that three of us got a look at the label of the bottle. It clearly said La Crema. So we stopped him and pointed out the error. All of us thought it was a mistake. Our server then told us that they were out of the Kessler Chardonnay and this is what they are serving instead! The deceit that is happening at this restaurant is ridiculous. The server just tried to give us a bottle of wine that is less expensive then the bottle that we ordered. If we had not of noticed he would have opened, poured, and charged us for it. La Crema Chardonnay is a less expensive bottle of wine. We pointed out the difference in cost. Our server then said he knew nothing about wine. And this was the bottle he was given to serve to us. My response to that was, if you are out of something you tell us. And give us the option to choose something else. He then proceeded to tell us that he had not opened it yet so we would not be charged! Of course we would not be charged, this is insane. He openly lied to us and then did not even apologize for it. He then asked us if we wanted to order anything else. We said we needed to think about it. After that experience of such deceit we wondered what else on the menu if we ordered anything else would be true to the menu. The birthday girl is allergic to gluten and diary. We could not risk her accidentally ingesting either because of carelessness. We decided it would be best to leave. So we closed out. When our server brought back the bill after he had ran my card he suddenly felt apologetic. I found his apology to be timed appropriately to his advantage. Because I was filling out his tip and signing. He proceeded to say that he should have just apologized to begin with. And should have told us about the bottle. Then he told us that they have been out of the Kessler Chardonnay for over a month!!! That means that if anyone has ordered a glass of the Kessler Chardonnay or the bottle they were cheated and deceived out of their money. Because they sell that wine by the glass as well.

Yelp
Ok...Started off good with the ceviche and chips--ceviche was fresh and chips were hot. So I thought it was going to be a decent restaurant. Then the drinks came...tequila flight was good except I had a broken/chipped cup. After that, didn't expect much... Tacos were bland and a little cold. No sides not even a sliver of salsa or avocado...If I was to come back it would be for the drinks. They were good. Service was ok, but my poor server was going from table to table and sort of forgot to check on me a few times. The restaurant had a good vibe to it but if you are not a couple or group don't expect a huge welcome.

Yelp
A friend and I are staying at the JW Marriott and decided to walk around the plaza to find some place to eat. I immediately saw Birria Quesadillas on the menu and knew we had to eat here. The restaurant was relatively empty and we were seated right away. There is outdoor dining which is right by the river. The outdoor dining offers some privacy as there are plants lined up next to one another to as a "wall" but it still allows a great view of the water. We ordered a frozen margarita, birria quesadilla, and chicken tinga nachos to share. The quesadillas were the best!! The sauce was incredible. Everything about the dish was cooked to perfection! The nachos were good but I wished the jalapeños were fresher and the chicken was cooked differently. My drink was refreshing and strong but just enough to feel nice. Highly recommend coming here. Food was good and service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and nice.
