Savi Provisions Taking Over Atlanta | Eater Atlanta

"With its green awning and white lettering, I’ve likely seen Savi Provisions in my neighborhood; it sells wine, beer, groceries, and artisanal food. The first location opened in 2009 in Inman Park—modeled on New York bodegas and inspired by founder Paul Nair’s time studying hospitality at Cornell—and offered local produce, drinks, and ready-made foods like sandwiches, soups, and a sea salt chocolate chip cookie. Since then neighborhood locations followed in Brookhaven, Midtown, and Decatur, and the chain has grown to 16 Atlanta stores (the latest in Virginia Highlands) with the city selecting Savi for the Grant Park Gateway retail space as its 17th; the business has also expanded into Tennessee and North Carolina with over 20 total stores. After the first eight stores Savi began franchising, and Nair says he’s looking to reacquire and reprogram some franchise locations to preserve the brand ethos. The concept emphasizes locality—sourcing from local farmers, guided beer tastings, and a communal meeting space—and is evolving toward seasonality and smaller weekly shopping habits; Nair also plans to expand service with better coffee, a dessert counter, and on-premise beverage consumption, and is investing in a beverage-database AI to help staff recommend products. City leaders praised the Grant Park decision, noting the Grant Park Gateway is a mixed-use development with parking and recreational amenities, and there is no timeline yet for the new store." - Henna Bakshi

Great spot to pick up a lovely selection of wine, beer, spirits, snacks and food for get togethers. Also love the affordable dine-in sandwiches and breakfast menu, and option to grab a beer or glass of wine to enjoy on the covered patio. Kitchen is open until ~7:30-7:45 pm as of Sep 2024! Great addition to the neighborhood.

This is amazing store. You can find almost everything you needed on daily basis. Here you will get freshly made breakfast, lunch and dinner sandwiches, bagels, burritos along with coffee. You can also have ready to eat food veg and non vegetarian as well. There is very good collection for wine; moreover wine on tap and enjoy the wine with friends and family in sitting area located just outside. This is the only store that has hard liquor in near by area. Staff is very friendly and well behaved. Place is neat and clean. This is Pet friendly store.

I absolutely love SAVI Provisions. The first thing that stands out to me about this establishment is their exceptional customer service. It is very clear that the ownership and management here care deeply about the experience that every customer has from the moment they walk in the door. Secondly, is SAVI Provision's wide selection; they have an impressive range of food, wine, snacks, and more. It is so convenient for me to have one stop and get such an array of items I need. Lasty is the atmosphere; whether you are a college student or an adult living nearby this place is a breath of fresh air with a great vibe to come relax and enjoy food & wine or just simply grab a snack. I will certainly be coming back!

Decided to come here for the first time and support what I was hoping would be a lovely local store. The online menu has no relationship to anything served in store, the staff here were completely unknowledgeable about the food and selection. When asked if I could add spinach to a sandwich I was told unlike all other savvy provisions they don't even stock spinach anywhere in the store. I don't understand why I would come back here. It's as if the person who runs the business and open the store has never walked into the store and tried to order food. It's Saturday morning at 9:30. It's 70° out, my wife and I wanted to sit outside on their patio space. However, The staff couldn't be bothered to put out the table and chairs so we have no place to sit and enjoy our breakfast. I just wish for once, a local restaurant would be open. That was high quality, and had really good service. But every restaurant opened up in Emory village completely misses the mark

This place is a gem for food and wine enthusiasts. They have a diverse selection of organic produce, gourmet cheeses, and fine wines. The store is impeccably clean and well-organized. I'll definitely be returning!

BUYER BEWARE Went here to get a bottle of sake, guy working the counter tried to overcharge me and started arguing with me when I showed him the difference on the sticker price.
