Love to try new places I read about this one and thought I’d give it a try and we are happy that we did. It’s a small restaurant. It feels very homey like places you go to in Italy. The food was outstanding. The service by Sophia was excellent. We had the chicken Parmesan. It was the largest piece of chicken. My husband had seen and loved every bite with pasta on the side. We also had the pasta with the swordfish which was all the right ingredients put In. We had the tomato onion salad, which all of us liked very much. We had the Bronzino that was good. We had a bottle of Italian wine, which was delicious and we had the ricotta cheesecake that was very good different than the usual cheesecake that we’ve eaten, and also some berries and cream. The chef David, who was there came out and spoke with us about Sicily and we had just gotten back from their summer vacation in Sicily so we really enjoyed feeling like we were back in Sicily. Parking is very simple there. It’s a big shopping center area. They have a few outdoor tables small intimate restaurant Lucky for us. There wasn’t a lot of people in and we could really talk and feel that we could hear each other for a change, not like some of the other restaurants we’ve been in. This is a restaurant as soon as the world gets out it’s gonna be harder and harder to get reservation, so make sure you make reservations and try it before it gets to a point that you’ll have to wait weeks to get in

What a hidden gem in the heart of Mizner Park! My husband and I dream of our trips to Italy, and now we have a slice of authentic Italian cuisine close to home. This place has only been open a short while, the chef David just moved to the area from Sicily to open Savia. Savia is a small and intimate restaurant (definitely make a reservation!) that transports you to Italy. The wine selection is excellent - we recommend the Sangiovese with dinner. My husband and I split the arancini, frito misto, squid ink pasta, sicilian stuffed calamari and tiramisu. Everything was delicious! The portions were generous as well. What a lovely experience - we can't wait to come back. Bravo to the chef and the entire team at Savoia!

Coming to Boca Raton for a birthday celebration and finding this spot was just what we needed! The portions are very generous. The chicken parm was by far the best I’ve had! The hand made gnocchi was something we will think about long after we see home. The service was outstanding and the conversations were genuine. We had to try the desserts and the cheesecake was worth the over indulgence! Highly recommend!

AMAZING! I am so happy I found this beautiful restaurant here in downtown Boca Raton. Ambience: Relaxing and feels like home. Service: Fantastic and Professional. They provided us on the house bruschetta and white wine! Even the chef comes out and greets you and talks to you about the dishes he cooks what an experience! Food: Super delicious! I want to come back for more! Price: Very reasonable! I highly recommend for a group, family, date, or solo outing for authentic Italian cuisine where you feel part of the family! Cant wait to come back again!

A True Sicilian Gem at Savia! If you’re looking for authentic Sicilian flavors and warm hospitality, look no further than Savia, owned and operated by Sicilian Chef David and his wonderful staff—Eve, Daniella, and Allesio—who made our experience unforgettable. Food: Absolutely amazing. The pasta was cooked perfectly al dente with that traditional slight chew, just how it should be. Chef David even treated us to his mother’s special Sicilian-style soup, a true taste of family tradition. The seafood platter was another highlight, beautifully presented in a piece of ceramic tile roofing, just as they do in his part of Sicily. Every dish was full of authentic flavor and clearly made with care and passion. Atmosphere: Savia is a small, cozy spot that feels incredibly homey. The colorful decor and intimate size make you feel like you’ve stepped into a little corner of Sicily. It’s the perfect place for a relaxing meal that feels personal and special. Service: Top notch. Eve, Daniella, and Allesio were so attentive, welcoming, and kind. They brought genuine smiles to the table, remembered that we were visiting from out of town, and even recalled us from our previous visit. You can tell they truly care about every guest’s experience. Highly recommend Savia for anyone wanting an authentic Sicilian meal with heartfelt service. Chef David and his team make it an experience you’ll remember.

Amazing restaurant find. Great hidden gem. Real homemade Italian food. Had the osso bucco and it was great. Daughter had the homemade penne pasta which was aging as well. Thanks Chef David for the wonderful meal.

My daughter and I visited Savia without knowing anything about it beforehand, and we were pleasantly surprised. The restaurant delivered a truly authentic Italian dining experience. The staff, including the chef, were welcoming and clearly passionate about making each visitors' experience a memorable one. During the meal, with the restaurant mostly full, I witnessed each member of the staff (including the chef) personally interact with every dining party in the restaurant. After a short conversation with the chef about the kinds of food I enjoy, he created a custom stuffed fish dish—possibly a future special. I had the honor of being the first to try it, and it was excellent. I'm not sure if the dish has a name yet, so I cannot tell you what it was called (other than delicious). My daughter ordered the Lasagna Neve dell'Etna, which was equally impressive in both flavor and presentation. We usually skip dessert when dining out, but the meal was so good we made an exception. The Tiramisu and Sicilian Cannoli were both top-notch, beautifully presented, and equally tasty. I would definitely return to this restaurant and we have already recommended it to others in our hotel.

Google
Savia located near Mizner Park in Boca Raton, has only been open for 10 months, but thanks to s friend, for introducing us to a great find! Quaint light & bright vibe with free parking, reservations recommended as seating is limited. Charming service by Daniella and traditional, authentic cuisine by sicilian native Chef David owner/operator, makes an instant connection through his menu & history. We ordered Rigatoni Alla Nona Graziella (diced fried eggplant, mini meatballs, tomato, basil, ricotta) and it was smooth and soul satisfying. Spaghetti allo spada (swordfish, tomato, anchovies, black olives, capers) was fresh, vibrant and crave worthy. We absolutely relaxed in the intimacy of this trattoria and wish them continued success, prosperity & longevity.

Yelp
Went to dinner last night at Savia with my wife and two other couples. We all recently came back from a wedding in Tuscany, as well as a side vacation in Sicily. When we saw that Savia is a recent addition in the Boca area offering real Sicilian Italian cuisine and had wonderful reviews, we decided to try it. The food did not let us down, it was AMAZING. We started and shared some appetizers of Bruschetta and Gnocchi. While the Bruschetta was delicious, the Gnocchi was spectacular. I had the Osso Bucco for my main course, which was delicious and soft as butter. Others had various dishes including pastas and various fish. We topped it all with their special cheese cake and Terramisu. The owner and chef, David, came out and spent a little time with us and you could see and hear his love for cooking and the perfectionist he is in making the meals on the menu. Add his wonderful staff and the restaurant totally delivered on its promise: Great Italian food, good wines and a wonderful staff. We definitely will be going back. It was bellisimo.

Yelp
Today my boyfriend and I got dinner at Savia and it was fantastic. The ambiance of the restaurant is cozy and warm, and it truly felt like we stepped into Sicily. The decor and food paid homage to Sicily in the best way. Service was excellent as well. We ordered the Rigatoni alla Nonna Graziella Lasagna Neve dell'Etna. The rigatoni dish was tart and light. I loved the texture and flavors of the meatballs and eggplant along with the pasta. The lasagna was a standout. I loved the way the vegetables and cheese paired together. You could distinguish the different layers and flavors -- which in my opinion, is not common with lasagna. The server also let us try the bruschetta and some Sicilian wine. The bruschetta was some of the best I've ever had. The sweetness of the tomatoes with the lightly toasted bread and the dried spices was perfect. They nailed this appetizer. The wine was fresh and fragrant. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our meal and we will be back. I highly recommend trying Savia.

Yelp
Savia: Rational, Intelligent. The ambience of the restaurant is very picturesque (sicilian peppered ) with photographs of sicilian architecture of David Vito's hometown Catania. David Vito personally greeted us after we were seated and gave us a passionate insight into his hometown and the way meals come together with fresh ingredients and marvelous wine. APPETIZER: I have so many good things to say about the caponata siciliana... peppers are not really a "dish" I usually look forward to SPECIALLY if they are not thin and small yet at David's you will not be able to get enough of this dish he's mastered by making the peppers so sweet, juicy and soft. They melt in your mouth right away and blend perfectly with the capers and olive oil toast that comes with the dish which could really be optional because it really does not need it you will not want to stop eating them and you will also not want the dish to end, truly a 100/10 kind of appetizer that will not leave you feeling like you've eaten too much but instead prepare your stomach for the wonderful flavors you will experience in an evening at Savia's. ENTREE: We had two pastas Rigatoni allá Nonna Graziella and the linguine capo mulini which are served to you scalding hot (this is a compliment and the best moment to eat the pasta, please be respectful of the chef and the love he puts into the food) which will melt in your mouth beyond explanation. I would like to highlight that David's Rigatoni brought tears of joy to my eyes, a bittersweet moment was unlocked for a good 5 minutes from the distant memory of my deceased mother whose flavor I found within this incredible Rigatoni Alla Nonna Graziella, thank you David for allowing me to live this moment in time that made this evening the more special. The rigatoni is just at the perfect point of al dente with the meatballs being absolutely delightful, the flavors that come together in this dish are truly special. The Linguine Capo Mulini is also a dish that MUST be ordered be it to share or just for yourself (no judgement) as even the seafood is brought from Italy, actually everything you will be eating in the restaurant has been carefully curated by David and brought from the beautiful Sicily, the pasta has a very lovely accentuated oregano and olive oil flavor that makes this dish an adventure on the first bite, please do try it. The Red snapper ( it is usually a grouper but the dish is very popular and he was out of this fish so he recommended the red snapper DID NOT DISAPPOINT) in orange sauce was FANTASTIC, my boyfriend does not eat fish and some how ended up eating more of this dish than me as I took every bite slowly because it was beyond what words can describe, so freshhhhhhh and NOT fishy at all, biting into it was a very beautiful feeling and the sauce made us want to forget table manners and lick the plate (we did manage to remain in control so we did not lick the plate but I would not judge if I ever saw someone doing so) the sauce is based off oranges but somehow the zest is not overpowering specially with the fish. To finish this beautiful perfect evening David allowed us to delight ourselves in his Cassata (Sicilia Ricotta Cheesecake) and I will confess I took a second one home as I truly needed some privacy with this dessert as well as the Pistachio Cannoli because it was like the God's were in that kitchen, the flavors were all coming together so good, wave after wave of just amazingness. I am personally not a huge fan of Tiramisu but I did find myself looking for more after it was done and my boyfriend suggested we went back to get more, the restaurant was closed so we will be ordering all three desserts next time and enjoying them even more. Savia is a true slice of Sicily in Boca Raton that will transport you to a beautiful lunch on a sunny day waterfront with good friends and even better food. The atmosphere is very romantic yet family friendly with David making sure to greet all of his guests as he is not treating anyone like a client, very personal experience that I highly recommend for lover and families as well. David: THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Thank you!!!!! May your hands be blessed beyond expression always and may you continue to have the ability of touching hearts with your food, a truly special Sicilian love story is what I found within all of your dishes. We will be back VERY soon. Till next time!

Yelp
Flavors are amazing. We started off with the bruschetta, spices, oil, tomato and beautiful bread was perfection. Then we got the gnocchi which was the best I have ever had. Husband got the meatballs and I got the Chilean sea bass. All a sensory delight. Topping it all off with a ricotta berry cheesecake. Bellissimo!! We will be back soon. What a great addition to east Boca!!

Yelp
Saw some write ups on this restaurant on yelp it's new in the area probably three months old so we decided to give it a try and we're really glad we did. It was a Wednesday night which means it wasn't as crowded as when the weekend so we had the restaurant pretty much to ourselves, which was lovely quiet intimate Restaurant like the kind you go to the cafés in Italy when you have family owned businesses this was family owned by the chef. We had the chicken Parmesan, which was the largest piece I've seen in a long time came with a side of pasta delicious also the swordfish pasta, which was delicious Tomato salad with onions, which we all enjoyed very much Bronzino with some seafood, ricotta, cheesecake, and berries, and cream and a bottle of wine. It was a lovely evening. They have a TV screen one where you can watch Sicily go by as you're eating dinner parking is in a parking lot. They have a few outdoor tables the waitress Sophia was lovely. She was a good waitress. She was efficient. She was knowledgeable. The owner and chef David came over to the table. Making sure that we were all happy. This is a place that's going to be very hard to get in as soon as this word gets out so make your reservations and enjoy dinner as good as it gets in the United States and taste just like you're in Sicily

Yelp
Great new authentic Sicilian restaurant in Boca. Owner chef that knows how to make his customer feel welcome and more importantly cook. many fresh quality imported ingredients from Sicily, simple recipes and lots of delicious flavor. We tried the rigatoni alla nonna and the stuffed sepia(calamari). Both outstanding! The deserts look delicious although I had no room for desert. the place got crowed quick so the word is getting out!

Yelp
Last night I had the most delicious dinner at savia, I am Sicilian, born and raised there, every bite brought me back to my beautiful island, the aromas, the sauce, fresh food made with love from chef David, it's a family ambience, the staff is amazing, can't wait to go back

Yelp
We had the pleasure of dining at Savia a few months ago when my parents and brother were visiting, and I've been meaning to leave this review ever since. My dad is from Sicily, and meeting David - the owner and chef - felt like being welcomed by family. He made us feel completely at home with his warm hospitality. Every dish at our table was absolutely delicious, and you can truly taste the passion and authenticity in every bite. Savia is a hidden gem and a must-visit if you're looking for an unforgettable Italian meal in Boca. Thank you, David!

Yelp
A small chef-owned Sicilian restaurant with, not surprisingly, very good Sicilian food. I had the bruschetta, caponata & pasta with seafood -- and 2 glasses of Nero d'Avola -- and I felt transported. The owner/chef David came out to chat, the tablecloths and decor were colorful and homey... step inside & you're in Catania. This part of town is stuffed with big, crowded loud Italian restaurants that are fine for ... whatever. But what a joy to find a quiet, small friendly place with such solid regional Italian food.

Yelp
Everything we ordered was absolutely delicious! It was our first time dining here, but we'll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu. We had the bruschetta, eggplant rollatini, and arancini to start -- all were full of flavor. My mom and I ordered the Rigatoni alla Nonna Graziella, but swapped the rigatoni for gnocchi, and it was fantastic. My dad and husband went with the Spaghetti Scotta Bocca, added micro meatballs, and absolutely loved it. To finish, we shared the dessert of the day, crepe filled with ice cream and signature berries sauce, and it was simply amazing. Many of the ingredients are sourced straight from Sicily, which really elevates the flavors. The chef personally checked on us multiple times, making us feel truly welcomed. My parents, husband, and I all had a wonderful experience. Highly recommend this restaurant--it's a must-visit! Ps.: Everything was so good that I only remembered to take photo of the dessert

Yelp
Ate at Savia last night. The first impression upon walking in was very cute and clean. The staff were all friendly, attentive and accommodating. The fresh caught swordfish flown in from the coast of Sicily was AMAZING. Everything was fresh and made on the premises by Chef Dave, who will welcome you like you are home. We also learned there are specials on Thursdays and Sundays giving anyone added incentive to return. As is the Sicilian nature, Savia seems like the kind of place that draws repeat customers who then all become friends. I'd encourage everyone to give Savia a try. You'll be glad.

Larry P.

Yelp
To much noise, small place, food was not impressive, waitress didn't listen to what I ordered took 15 minutes before I got anybody's attention that I wanted something else which was too late. The chef owner was very nice but that's all I could say about the restaurant would not go back sorry to write this review, but it's true

Wyld O.

Yelp
We visited Savia for my husband's birthday dinner. We immediate loved the ambiance and decor of the restaurant, I felt like we were transported to a little neighborhood restaurant in Sicily. The bread was warm, it had a nice crust on the outside and was soft/slightly chewy on the inside. We ordered bruschetta (I pride myself on making good bruschetta at home, my son said Savia's was better :-) ). For mains, we had chicken parmigiana, linguine caps mulini, linguine al nero di seppia, and lasagna neve dell'etna. We sampled one another's dish, and loved them all. David (chef/owner) stopped by and chatted with us for a good 5-10 minutes before returning to the kitchen to cook our meal. This is what I experienced when I visited Italy, the chef would stop by and spend a meaningful amount of time to chat with customers. It was not the typical "Hi, I am the manager, how is everything?" all done in 30 seconds. I highly recommend this restaurant for any occasion. Mangia! Buon appetite!

Gary O.

Yelp
It's very good and it is just getting started. Savia is a gem and soon they will outgrow the current space. David has a great story and his food is extraordinary.

Yelp
Family owned, authentic Italian food! Want to support a local business that appreciates its customers, serves delicious food? Go here! Bring the whole family and enjoy an amazing meal! The cannolis are amazing!

Debbie M.

Yelp
Authentic Sicilian dishes Freshly prepared individually with tender loving care! Third time here! Is now my go to for real Italian food. Io sono siciliana. service is youthful and enthusiastic. wines principally Sicilian are excellent and well priced. A neighborhood gem.

Paul M.

Yelp
My wife and I had dinner yesterday at this cozy Sicilian Restaurant, very close to Mizner Park. We made our choice based on the nice reviews, very glad we did! It was outstanding, from the service to the food, and the ambiance. A nice little corner of Sicily in the heart of Boca Raton, with colorful tablecloths, nice pictures on the wall and a tv screen showing images of the beautiful Island. The Chef and owner, David took the time to greet all the customers between a dish and the next. The food was excellent as well as the wine list. We ordered a fried calamari with veggies as appetizer followed by pasta with squid ink and octopus, paired with an excellent Sicilian Catarratto wine. Highly recommended!

Kelly S.

Yelp
A truly exciting addition to the Mizner-area dining scene! Chef and proprietor David is a master of authentic Sicilian cuisine, delivering dishes that feel like a delicious journey to an Italian grandmother's kitchen. Each bite is crafted with care, offering the perfect balance of comfort and top-quality ingredients. Run don't walk to Savia!!

Carol B.

Yelp
Happened to drive by this place, looking for simple, Italian food and we found a GEM! They took us without a reservation and greeted us warmly. The wait staff were super friendly and attentive. We started with a Caesar salad (awesome croutons!!) and were also treated to a little bruschetta while we waited for our main course. (Delish!) My husband enjoyed the vegetable lasagna, which was filled with fresh veggies and tasted great! I ordered the Gnocchi, but when I said I can't eat peppers the chef offered a substitute of spinach and broccoli, which I loved! I seldom find a restaurant that gets gnocchi right, and this one did it masterfully! Unpretentious and delectable. Try it!!!!

Ida L.

Yelp
We happened upon this restaurant after looking for a different place a few doors down. What a great restaurant! We had branzino with orange sauce, mussels, tiramisu, and a glass of Nero d'Avola. All were delicious and so fragrant. David and Sofia were gracious and charming. We cant wait to go back and try other items on the menu. Clearly seafood is a huge component of Sicilian cooking and Savia's selections reflect the variety.

Chris C.

Yelp
great chef great service family atmosphere. love it. The chef is from Sicily and brings an authentic spin to his menu. And get the barolo. Outstanding.

Daisy L.

Yelp
We first dined at Savia 3 nights ago. Then, it was so good, we came back 3 nights later with a couple of friends of ours and ordered the exact same thing...plus a few other delicious dishes to round out the meal. Two of us had ordered the mixed salad, the chicken parmigiana and a pasta of rigatoni with eggplant and teeny meatballs in a delectable tomato sauce. The chicken was pounded thin, delicately breaded, perfectly textured and was easily enough for 3 or 4 people. The second visit we added a homemade lentil soup that tasted of someone's wonderful home cooking, a bowl of mussels in a fragrant broth that you'll want to sop up with the exceptionally good bread served at the beginning of the meal. And to end, we shared a perfect cannoli trimmed with pistachio nuts and whipped cream and blackberries. Their lovely red wine Nero D'avola (sic?) accompanied all perfectly. We're only here for a short visit, but I know we'll come back every time. If you want a break from the large splashy commercial Italian restaurants, this family run (Chef David comes out to chat with each customer) will make you feel uniquely well fed and cared for.

Randi M.

Yelp
We were greeted by David ~ the owner and chef. He was very welcoming and spoke with us at length. The veal ossobucco was very flavorful as was the Mediterranean grouper. When asked if the grouper came with anything, Chef David said "I can make you anything you want - a salad, pasta ...". We opted for spaghetti with marinara sauce. All was good until we saw the bill. We were charged $10.00 for a medium-sized plate of spaghetti! The grouper was already $48 and came with nothing extra. The meal was delicious, the service very good and the ambiance inviting. But we really feel that $10 for a medium sized plate of spaghetti was excessive, even for Boca Raton. We can't help but wonder since we were from out of town, (which was discussed with the chef) whether we were being taking advantage of, knowing that we probably would not be returning. Disappointed to say the least. We wish Chef David much success in his new location but feel that he should reconsider his pricing.
