I enjoyed the atmosphere---it was lunchtime, and we (party of 4)sat downstairs. Our service was great, (Jenya) but two of our orders for lunch were not so good. We both ordered the chicken, parm and pepperoni hoagie/sandwich. The chicken on it was paper thin and there was also only about five or six slivers of pepperoni. The sandwich was good, but almost all bread. I had to order a side of marinara, because the chicken was so thin and dry , and ask for Parmesan cheese, as there was nowhere near enough, mozzarella on the sandwich to begin with, so I figured some sprinkles of parm would be good. I also got what was the soup of the day instead of the salad. It was called "meatball soup"... it didn't come before my actual lunch, and was not asked if I wanted it like that so I guess I assumed that that's how they serve their lunches, & It came on the same plate with my sandwich. Then, disappointingly it was served with 1 meatball in it! It was no less good, but 1 small meatball in a "meatball soup"? The others of our party of 4, had delicious lunches, and the servings were plenty enough for them. I know that they thoroughly enjoyed what they chose off of the menu, and their two (different) choices looked delicious to me.
It was great that at the end of our lunch, the owner came downstairs and asked how everything was, but unfortunately, I was using the restroom at the time! Overall, it was a nice luncheon with friends, but you need to "beef up" on the chicken par/pepperoni hoagie, and if you're going to call your soup of the day "meatball soup", add some meatballs.
