Where to Eat With a Group in Denver

"Located in a veritable banquet hall (it used to be a dim sum joint), this top spot for Vietnamese fare is obviously well equipped to handle large parties — and so, of course, is the wide-ranging menu, laden with such crowd pleasers as stir-fried whole crab; rice-paper wrap platters starring the likes of deep-fried sugarcane shrimp or lemongrass pork skewers; and fire pots bobbing with seafood of all kinds, from catfish to squid and mussels. (Reservations are recommended for six or more.)" - Ruth Tobias

A Pho Restaurant Has Replaced One of Denver’s Dim Sum Staples - Eater Denver

"Savory Vietnam Pho & Grill, a new Vietnamese pho restaurant, started dishing on Friday, January 4, at the location where King’s Land Chinese Seafood served dim sum for more than 15 years. The new restaurant completed some renovations on the building before opening and will operate from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. every day except Wednesdays." - Josie Sexton

We recently had the pleasure of dining at Savory Vietnam Restaurant on West Alameda Avenue in Denver, CO, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. This hidden gem left an indelible mark on my taste buds with its delicious food, warm hospitality, and impeccable service. Savory Vietnam truly excels in delivering mouthwatering dishes that showcase the rich and diverse flavors of Vietnamese cuisine. We particularly enjoyed the noodle dishes, which were expertly prepared and bursting with freshness. The pork and beef options were equally impressive and flavorful. The Pho selection was a standout. Each spoonful was a symphony of flavors, and it was evident that the chefs had mastered the art of balancing taste and texture. Whether you're a fan of traditional Vietnamese pho or adventurous enough to try something new, Savory Vietnam has a soup to satisfy every palate. The combination of delicious food, a friendly host, and excellent service makes it a standout choice for anyone looking to savor the authentic flavors of Vietnamese cuisine.

We visited near closing time, the service was still excellent and they did not rush us. All of the food tasted amazingly fresh, and was served with unique savory sauces including nuoc cham. The portions were massive!! Definitely left very full and happy, great food, great people. Best Vietnamese option in Denver!

Google
The food is great! Try the Tofu, Spring rolls and any of the noodle bowls and egg rolls. The peanut sauce wasn't the best but I Want to try their hot pots and phó next!

My family and I were on vacation from Louisiana and decided to give this place a go since there's also so many Vietnamese restaurants in New Orleans as well. Honestly, this Vietnamese restaurant is hands down the best Vietnamese restaurant I have ever eaten in my entire life. You know a restaurant is on point when every dish ordered was a 10/10. I sadly don't remember what we ordered since it was just overwhelming, but if you want bomb service, bomb food, and bomb Vietnamese, COME HERE NOW!

Delicious food, friendly host, good service. We highly recommend this restaurant! We loved the fish dishes here, and seafood and soup. Everything was very well done!

If you’re reading this review, drive to Savory Vietnam immediately! One of the best meals we’ve had in Denver. Amazing flavors from start to finish. The squid and pork belly in spicy fermented shrimp paste sauce was unlike anything I’ve ever had before— sweet, sour, spicy perfection. Fiancé got bo luc lac, some of the best we’ve had. Big chunks of tender filet in a tasty sauce. Egg rolls were excellent as well! Can’t wait to come back and explore the menu!

Wow! This place is great value for the quality of food you get here. The fish hot pot was sour and delectable, and the special com tam rice plate was huge! All the meats on the plate were delicious. This is a definite go-to if you are in the area.

Was there in early Nov ‘22 with very large group so didn’t enjoy food and service as much. So decide to give it another try with party of two. Service was fantastic, server was attentive and friendly. Food was fantastic even though we only ordered the hot pot with the banana blossom. Rice noodles was served as a side with a plate of fish sauce and jalapeños. I didn’t have to use the extra dip sauce as base is perfectly right amount of sour, sweet, tart and saltiness. Soup is very flavorful and tasty, portion is perfect for two, really enjoyed all the protein that come with order, minus the mussels/ not a fan (tasted so fishy and too earthy for my taste) will skip that next time. In comparison to early Nov ‘22, we ordered 20+ dishes, however I do recall some of the dishes (sorry didn’t have chance to take picx), shaking beef, caramelize short ribs, rau muống with garlic was flavorful. Will definitely go back to try various dishes again. Some of the food dishes are a bit on a pricey size, just like everything else lately 🙄

Yelp
This place is great for authentic Vietnamese dishes with large portions. The menu was large and included many different dishes. We got the rice paper dish where you can roll your own spring roll. It was so much food and was delicious. The salad was very sweet but still good. The crispy noodles were also a hit. The che for dessert was also great. It's a large restaurant but they are sadly closing due to rising rent prices. They will be looking to open a smaller restaurant elsewhere. The waiter was very personable and chatted with us for a bit. We will definitely be looking for their new place when they open. Would highly recommend this place!

Yelp
Best of Denver? I can see why. Where the local Vietnamese community goes. A menu of 200+ choices, go w/a friend in the know. Everything was great. Amazing friendly service from our server, wish I caught his name. And also expected service from the "I don't got time for your *ish - Aunty" busser, but it adds to the vibe, wouldn't feel the same without her Ordered shrimp & pork eggroll appetizer (AP4 Cha Gio Thom Thit), shrimp and pork wraps (RP9 Tom Thit Sa Te), Seafood hotpot (FS2 Lau Thai Bap Chuoi). Would have tried the escargot if we had a bigger stomach, it was just not physically possible. I'd be back tomorrow. So yum!

Yelp
As a Vietnamese person who frequents Vietnamese restaurants in the socal and SE Texas areas. I was pleasantly surprise how delicious Denver's dishes had to offer. Even landlocked, they offered an amazing assorts of seafood. We ordered - Ngheu Hap (steamed cherry stone clams) - Savory Saigon Dac Biet rice paper dishs - Lau Do Bien Dac Biet (seafood hotpot special) Everything was fresh, stone clams was right amount of chewiness and the fish sauce brought out the right amount of umami. The combination rice paper dishes, had alil bit of everything. Fried soft shell crabs, grilled pork, fried egg rolls, and grilled shrimp. They paired perfectly rolled up in a nice spring roll. And then there's the hot and sour hotpot. Just the right amount of spicy and sour. Brings comfort food to a new level. Especially with Denver's cold weather. It really warms the soul. This place is similar to new Saigon, but this place is larger and easier to park, sometimes new Saigon has a long wait, but this place is a good alternative

Yelp
As my Vietnamese friend from LA describes this place, "the only tolerable viet place in Colorado" Really good with large make your spring rolls. A good space and spacious. Clean and respectable looking space inside. Service was impeccable - my water was always full. If you want authentic Vietnamese food, check this place out!

Yelp
On the Eater 38 Denver list (as of November 2022) 4-4.5 stars, rounding up for one of the better Vietnamese restaurants that I've been to in the Denver area. Savory Vietnam has a huge space for a restaurant, and they weren't busy at 3:45pm on a Sunday. The tables were extremely socially distanced at that time, and they had large screen TV's with the football games on. We placed our order online, and it was ready in about 15-20 minutes. We tried: -Special Combination Rice Plate (Pork Chop, Beef, Chicken, Shrimp, Egg Roll, Served w/Steamed Rice, $17.95, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=L9cagYps8zKDEolJgVbe-g&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum- this was a giant box of food, and they didn't skimp on the different proteins. The shrimp and pork chop were my favorite, since the beef was slightly overcooked. However, all the meats were very flavorful, although a touch salty for my preference. The egg rolls were good, but a little chewy. The combination plate was a great value though, and I would order it again. -Fried Shrimp Cake ($12, https://www.yelp.com/user_local_photos?select=2NDZUFEQa19auaYyg0UyaQ&userid=76vIFZcC7owykCBjMfGVXg): Yum- so good! I loved the crispy edges of the fried shrimp cake, and how airy and crunchy the edges were. The actual shrimp cake was cooked perfectly, and delicious- highly recommended! I'll be back to try their noodle bowls and pho. Only indoor seating was available, and they had hand sanitizer. Parking was easy to find since they had a giant lot.

Yelp
The largest menu of all restaurants. They could pretty much make any dish cause they have it all. I'm originally from LA and savoy Vietnam brings be back home. Everything comes in large portions - order and share family style and prepare to box things home. Vermicelli - Dry noodle salad with a fish sauce dressing - best for hot summer days - choose your meat selection. I prefer the grilled pork or grilled beef. Pho - Light broth, with tons and tons of noodles. I always order the combo (includes all the meat options), which turns the broth a bit fatter from the meats. I add all the side veggies - bean sprouts, mint, and lime. Gỏi Cuốn - Spring Rolls - Build you own option - great way to accommodate a variety of dietary restrictions. Very large portion - we have yet to finish an order whenever to come. Bún Bò Huế - another favorite - subtle favorites good balance of all the flavors but not overpowering. It's another option of noodle soup that is different than Pho. Clams - very large clams - chewy but the highlight was the side sauce - Unami flavors with tons of garlic. Again so many options on the menu - we are still eating and trying as we go. Environment - Traditional banquet food hall sitting - huge space for large parties and events Service - The staff is very busy so be patience - they will come around or raise your hand to get their attention. Restrooms - Need a bit of a upgrade. Plenty of parking space - same shopping complex as Costco business center.

Yelp
16 vegetarian options on their menu. The food is super good! There are so many menu options (veg and non-veg) and they have a big dining area too. They were able to accommodate a large group of 20 for dinner. 5 stars - Rau Muong Xao Toi (water spinach stir fried in garlic sauce). This was the best preparation of that dish I've ever had. It was a perfect pairing with the Tàu Hu Xào Gung Nam Dông Cô (fried soft tofu sautéed with black mushroom, bok choy, snow peas, and carrot in light ginger sauce). Both of these dishes with steamed rice made for a great meal. Their portions are very big and can be shared for a family style meal. The non-veg eaters at the table enjoyed the rice wrapper plate (Dac Biet Combination plate of fried soft-shell crab, egg rolls, fried shrimp paste, grilled pork skewers and grilled shrimp/sautéed snails; topped with scallions, fried onions and peanuts. Served with rice noodles, basket of fresh herbs, lettuce, cucumbers, pickled carrots and daikon, beansprouts, dipping sauce and rice paper for "Do it yourself rolls". All the other dishes ordered were a hit. Consistently good all around.

Yelp
Upon entering, there were tables filled with Vietnamese families-- that's how you can TELL the place is AUTHENTIC. They have an extensive menu and portions are HUGE so I'd suggest you share. Can't decide whether to order appetizers? Or to have shrimp, chicken, or beef? Order the RD1 Com Dam Biet Plate, it has got you COVERED as it contains all of them. Anyways, I defintely recommend y'all stop by and try out their Vietnamese cuisine!

Yelp
I have loved Savory Vietnam since they opened. Had a fabulous meal tonight of make your own spring rolls and a spicy hot and sour hot pot. Food and service were awesome. If you haven't been in a while, get over there for a meal!!! Rumor is they are closing in a few weeks, it may be your last chance.

Yelp
Food was amazing! I ordered RP12 and got to roll up my own spring rolls with 4 different meats- beef, pork, shrimp, and deep fried shrimp paste; because I love having options. All of them were good, and I was especially amazed/impressed with the deep fried shrimp paste - that was definitely my favorite. The batter gave it a nice crispy texture like a shrimp chip. Additionally the veggies it came with gave me enough fiber for the day lol. I will definitely check out this restaurant when I come visit Denver again!

Yelp
Savory Vietnam was recommended to me by a friend for their solid and deeply delicious pho broths and entrees - I'm a big fan of Vietnamese food, and I've glad to say that I checked this location out! I've been to Savory Vietnam several times, and I've been satisfied every time I've been here. The location of the restaurant is convenient - it is situated between Great Wall Marketplace (previously POM) and a Costco, so ample parking is easy to find. The atmosphere of the place is interesting, since the couple of times I've visited Savory Vietnam - it appears that they close about half of the restaurant for renovation (or maybe because it's not needed). The service is fast and you get your food in about 10-15 minutes after order. The menu is expansive and there were many options that caught my eye - there always is going to be something new that I can experience on every visit. I've been able to tried of variety of options that are offered here, from their phos, to appetizers, to their rice plates. Their pho has a delicious fragrance to it - like you can definitely taste hints of the spices used, form star anise and cinnamon. The rice plate (RD1 - $17) was the most recent thing that I was able to try, and they give you a hefty amount of food the price. Being someone that is usually able to completely finish my food on most occasions, I struggled to finish everything on my plate - which is a fantastic sign in my book. The flavors are also great, you can taste the grilled charred flavor, with some of the marinade (a small bit of ginger/maybe lemongrass?) lingering on your initial bite. I was pretty satisfied with this plate, since it gave me a good sample of the various grilled meat options that are offered, and how it would be if I ordered something else on the menu with these items. On average, you would likely spend about $10 - $25 for a good portion of food (for a single person), and I would say this is a good given the quality and quantity of food they give you. I would say Savory Vietnam is a solid pick if you are looking for some delicious Vietnamese food in the Denver area. I would definitely like to stop by to try their other options!

Yelp
I was fortunate to eat here with someone who had eaten there several times and knows the staff well. Very helpful since I can't think of any other time I had Vietnamese. The meal and the service were great. I trusted my friend to order for us, including the appetizer. The food was fresh and well seasoned. The good thing about him ordering was that I didn't need to decide which items to try, the bad thing was I was too busy eating good food to ask what it was called!

Yelp
Well, I was a confirmed New Saigon lover, but I think Savory has won me over. I was blow away! The menu is extensive, you can find almost any Vietnamese dish you ever wanted. I went with friends that raved about it, and it did not disappoint! We began with the soft shell crab appetizer. Lightly breaded soft shell crab with lettuce, herbs (cilantro and mint), veggies (carrots and daikon) and a great bowl of Nuoc cham. The crab was tender and tasty. I love interactive food that you make at your table. Fun to wrap it up in the lettuce with your choice of veggies and herbs and go dipping in a bowl of yumminess. My friends ordered the wonton soup (that they love). I am not a bid wonton soup person but it was tasty. Next time I would order one of their specialty soups. I LOVE rice wraps, so our next item was the port and shrimp lettuce wraps. OMG..... I think I am still licking my fingers. The port was insanely good, thinly sliced marinated pork and perfectly cooked shrimp. I dreamed about it last night! The portions are generous, the staff is friendly and they place is enormous. Sometimes I don't want to tell a lot of people about great places, cuz then I can't get in... J/K. Plenty of room for a crowd. I can't wait to go back and try a dozen more things. I suggest bring a lot of people (that like to share) so you can try more items. Thanks Savory... I'll be back... really really soon!

Yelp
Had an Aunt in town and was looking for a dinner venue that would be able to accommodate a large family dinner. We recalled this place and ended up having our family dinner here. It was a great choice and worked out well on a Friday evening. Surprisingly, it was not super busy. We ordered so much food here and I can't believe that I forgotten to take photos of the yummy food. I only got 3 but the food was delicious that we had already gotten to a lot of it. Lol. The place was a little understaffed but managed. We had a great dinner and enjoyed pretty much everything. If you haven't been here, definitely come try it out.

Yelp
Savory Vietnam... dare I say... is my FAVORITE Vietnamese Restaurant in Denver! Every time I go, I am constantly blown away by the fresh ingredients, excellent service, and beautiful dishes with superb spicing. This time was no different. We went at the perfect time, because it wasn't too busy. So, the service was quick and the dishes were so super fresh. It feels like a flex to have that many fresh herbs! We opted to order the cold noodles, egg rolls, beef, side of spring roll wrapper and pho broth! It's the most refreshing meal. The beef was seasoned so well and the egg rolls were crispy and hot (temperature-wise)! It was my first time trying the pork and shrimp combo for the egg rolls and I would highly recommend it! It'll be hard to try anything other than these egg rolls, because they are packed with delicious flavor! I also am a huge fan of the fish sauce at this restaurant. I feel very lucky we have such a gem in Denver and any chance I get to treat myself, I'm going to come here. The restaurant is clean, open, spacious, yet welcoming! I also love that if you have a big enough party, there are lazy Susan tables available! So fun!

Yelp
I wish I could've tried everything, but what we did have was delicious! After a cold day in the Rockies we came back to this side of town for some delicious food- we were starving! We ordered some Viet coffee to keep us awake, some spicy bun bo hue to warm our stomachs, and the Dac biet DIY spring rolls so we could try a little of each meat. The spring rolls had proteins I never would have suspected, but work amazingly inside the rolls. They gave us about 2-3 plates of bean sprouts, lettuce, etc. and 2-3 hot water bowls that housed the rice paper on the other side so we could make it at our own pace. For 4 people, it was enough and then some for the amount of fillings and rice paper. With the four of us, we completely demolished the spring rolls and had a good amount of soup left over. The service is good, attentive and fast. The place itself is huge! I can tell that it's a place that is a restaurant, but can ask be rented out for larger events! Can't wait to come back to the area to try the rest of their food.
google avatar

Justin N.

Yelp
This may be the best Vietnamese restaurant in the Denver metro area. Absolutely delicious and so many options. The restaurant is gigantic and certainly is a good venue for events as well. We had some of the items for spring rolls and definitely ate too much as everything was fantastic. I'd definitely recommend this for anyone looking for good Vietnamese restaurant.

Yelp
Ok, wow; just wow - the food at Savory Vietnam was outstanding. I have easily a year's worth of necessary dining here to adequately explore the menu :) While I was here for lunch, I can see that their dinner volume could be quite huge given the size of the restaurant. I also glanced around to see what other people were having & thought: "ooh, I want that too..." The atmosphere is what you'd expect: you are right by Federal & Alameda. And the service was a bit on the slow side (perhaps they're a bit understaffed around lunch time...) not that big of a deal. They did have an alcohol license, which I appreciated, as not all places do. I'm giving SV five stars on a 'foodie' basis - if you like adventuresome dining, give this a try. And FWIW: Savory Vietnam is just a bit to the East of Federal & Alameda (in the same parking lot as the CostCo)

Yelp
Second time here, service isn't the best, however our waitress was super sweet and recommended some good food, we both took her suggestions- and were not disappointed!! The menu is quite large, several options for sure! after we did order our meal, within minutes one dish came out, we had to wait a good 20 minutes before we could flag down our waitress to ask about my husbands meal- let her know I was not happy that I had to eat my meal cold. A bit pricey but portions are worth it. We will be back- regardless of this time sine the previous was better- perhaps just an off day, we all have them!
google avatar

Yelp
Best Vietnamese inDenver! We finally found them after they left Federal...we are NEVER disappointed, consistently great food~ try the delicious iced Vietnamese coffee

Yelp
Simple, reasonably priced, excellent. A great option for Vietnamese food in Colorado. Do recommend trying the do it yourself rice paper wraps.

Yelp
Savory is a favorite for fresh, delicious Vietnamese food! It is a bit on the expensive side, but because the food and service is wonderful, we keep going back.

Yelp
This restaurant has authentic Vietnamese food! One of the best Vietnamese restaurants in Denver. Wide variety and great quality. I love getting their DIY spring rolls.
google avatar

Khampha K.

Yelp
I'm usually not a big fan of Vietnamese food but holy moly this is the spot! Their shaking beef is my all time fav. The menu is huge and every meal has been amazing. Everything from flavor to presentation. The only thing I would steer clear of is the Vietnamese coffee. I'm not too sure what's going on but your stomach won't agree with it. Hot pots are great, salt and pepper calamari. My mom was raving about the noodle bowls, too. This is probably a top spot in Colorado for Vietnamese food. They also host a lot of banquets, concerts and events there!
google avatar

Anton C.

Yelp
This place is just average, I think their thing is serving large portions to as many people as possible to give the illusion of good food. The pho was not really hot and it cooled off quickly leaving a bowl of lukewarm stock that contained a huge amount of noodles. The servers were very distracted as they were setting up for a massive 300+ person reception and we were treated like we were in the way of their setup efforts and they didn't want us to be there. Try Boulder Pho in Longmont or Boulder, or Pho Duy on 120th for much fresher and tastier pho.
google avatar

Nate W.

Yelp
I came to Savory with a few friends after my birthday weekend and it was such an amazing meal! The venue has a very calming ambiance, and is a huge space that would be a great place to host an event! They have a stage and also large screen tvs available. The menu is very extensive, so we had to have a waiter help us out, but he answered all of our questions and gave us great recommendations. We ended up getting a large fire pot for the table, some spring rolls, clay pot catfish, and a pork chop dish also. They were all so flavorful and filling! I loved this meal, and would definitely recommend for anyone looking for authentic and delicious Vietnamese food in Denver!
google avatar

Lane W.

Yelp
Good food, okay atmosphere and service. First, this place is HUGE. I mean, like supermarket huge. So it's not crowded, but it's also a bit sterile and uninviting. The tables are far apart and everything is very clean. The menu is huge ... which makes it overwhelming. It would definitely be a fun place to go with a group and check out some different dishes. But there were only two of us and we stuck to the basics and just got spring rolls and pho. As others have noted, the beef pho broth is really tasty. But I ordered the bowl with three different types of beef and it only had one. I kept thinking I would find more so I didn't complain, but I realized by the end of the dish and there was no variety. The spring rolls are okay. Nothing to write home about. We asked for a drink menu and there wasn't one available. The waitress rattled off a fairly decent list of beers and we selected one because it didn't seem worth having her go over other options. Would I go again? Maybe with a large party. But probably not with just the two of us.
google avatar

Athena L.

Yelp
A solid pho place with a large menu. I got the bun Bo hue which was bangin' as well as the pork belly in shrimp paste, also solid. Service was fast and friendly, plus for a Sunday night it wasn't too busy. Would def be back just to try everything they have.

Yelp
Going to be honest -- I came here with a big group that included a Vietnamese friend, which made ordering a lot easier -- but that in no way affected how delicious the food was! You gotta try these giant clams they have -- so good! The shell is the size of my hand. And the make-your-own spring roll board is a huge platter of all sorts of amazing things, from soft shell crab to escargot. The crab soup is great, but I recommend getting a huge pot of steaming hot pot for the table. Oh, and don't forget the platter of Dungeness crab! And you stuff your face for a total of like $40 a person here, which is insane.
google avatar

Dan Tuyen T.

Yelp
Lot lot lot and lots of options! Don't come hungry, you will order the whole menu ! . Bo luc luc was good! Bun Bo hue had lot of meats!!! Give them a try !
google avatar

Yelp
Such an amazing meal and even better server. He led us in the right direction with the crab, coconut milk snails and egg rolls. Even my picky eater was satisfied and ordered a second order of the pork egg rolls. Oh, and the wonton soup and crab and cream cheese wontons were the best we have ever had. Next time I'm going to get some to go, too. Definitely give it all a try and trust your server. They'll definitely help you out on ordering off the huge menu.

Yelp
You know what's strange, the best Vietnamese food I've had has been in Colorado (I haven't been to Vietnam yet as an adult with my current tastebuds). Let's start with the interior. There's so much room and I like what the restaurant looks like. We came during the football game so there wasn't a crowd. The food is spectacular. Everything has so much flavor. We ordered clams, a salad, and the first combination rice wrap. The fish sauce is delicious. It goes well with everything. The food tastes fresh. Each bite had a nice crunch. The escargots were perfectly cooked. I love the soft shelled crabs. If you have room in your belly, get a dessert. I think the one I always get is translated as 3 Treasure. The service is also an A+. The waiters and waitresses are super friendly and helpful. They come to help you right away. All in all it was a great experience. Oh and the place is clean!

Emily H.

Yelp
By far the best Vietnamese Bun noodle bowl I have found in Denver. I've been searching high and low for one that stood out and this one certainly did. Service was great - it was a cold snowy day and although I wasn't in the mood for phò, the server gave me a small bowl of soup complimentary to warm up. The broth of the soup was incredible, so I'll definitely be back to try the phò too!
google avatar

Patricia N.

Yelp
My mouth waters thinking about the food here. I've never had a bad item, just things that aren't for me. Sometimes the extra fermented stuff is a little too funky for me. Cha Gio - Egg rolls Bo Luc Lac - Shaking Beef w/ Rice Canh Chua Thom - Sweet & Sour Hot Pot w/ Shrimp Ca Kho To - Braised Carmel Catfish Rau Muong - Morning Glory Sauteed in Garlic

Yelp
WOW AMAZING. I love the food here! Very authentic Vietnamese food. Best Bun Bo Hue I've ever had. Super flavorful and packed with meats and lots of herbs and vegetables included! I mean a lot a lot! Spring Rolls are top tier especially with the Do it yourself option. Crispy egg roll lettuce wraps also hits the spot. Very spacious inside and friendly service! Highly recommend and would go back to Denver for it to try more dishes out!!

The Skinny: Authentic tasty Viet food, friendly staff, HUGE menu. Atmosphere: Surprisingly gigantic place (previous a dim sum place & can hold 650 ppl for a wedding reception). Nothing super special ambiance wise, clean and simple with a full bar. Came for dinner on a week night and didn't have to wait. Food: Oh so yummy - and large! First off the menu is insane, one of those menus that goes on for so long you can't believe there are still pages left. Which can make it hard to choose. We ordered an app and 2 entrees for 2 of us - which was more than plenty. Portions are quite large, I'd recommend splitting an app and entree for 2. Highly recommend the egg rolls (authentic, juicy, and delicious). Also got the first rice dish with a variety of meat (RP1) which was a great way to try and bunch of different stuff (came with shrimp, chicken, beef, pork, egg roll - all delicious and marinated well). The spicy lemongrass noodle soup was also great in flavor and variety. Overall, everything we had we were highly impressed with - our fave viet food in Denver so far. Service: Our waiter was amazing. Super friendly, knowledgable, and attentive. Price/value: $$ portions are gigantic and prices are reasonable. Would I come back? Yes! The menu was so large that I can't wait to come back and explore more of it. Would love to try and nice bowl of pho as well here :)

Yelp
I've got two words for you: Tamarind Crab. Oh my gosh this was good! I mean I was already full from all the other delicious food I had eaten prior but I could not stop eating this crab! I mentioned that I could eat this for breakfast, lunch, and dinner on Instagram and I stand by that statement. I will say the build your own spring roll was a cool option as you make it however you want right at your table, and you can fill it with whatever you want! Definitely and cool and fun concept and I will say I love that many option that come on the Dac Biet Platter! I just want to warn you the menu is VAST, so do not feel overwhelmed when you first see it! I always suggest asking your server for recommendations to find something you perhaps wouldn't have ordered but might end of loving! For instance TAMARIND CRAB! Also try that or you will regret not ordering it!

Yelp
Denver's 2019 dining scene has burst in like a lion, and this NEEDS to be on your must-eat restaurant list! Savory Vietnam is in the location of one of my favorite dim-sum restaurants (forever will be missed, Kings Land!)- that said, I was a little skeptical at first. I mean, it's natural to lament whomever replaces a long-time favorite.... but those preconceived notions were quickly thrown out the door. The owners of Savory Vietnam are the daughter of the New Saigon family. YES! Fair warning- much like New Saigon, the menu is extensive. 35 pages double-printed extensive! (And no, unlike Cheesecake Factory, there aren't ads in here- it's all real menu content) I ended up talking with our server about a recent article in the Westword reviewing them, and ended up getting their house salad with seafood and crackers and a bowl of the duck and wonton noodle soup. Both were incredible- and portions were plenty for me and my friend (we had ample leftovers for both of us). Highly, highly recommend this authentic, top-notch Vietnamese restaurant that is a welcome addition to Denver!

Yelp
Delicious. Many items to select from. Friendly efficient service. Tables are far enough apart so you're not on top of each other. Casual ambiance.

Yelp
Service was just ok, my plate arrived after almost everyone finished dinner. Food is pretty tasty but salty and the fried food is too greasy for my taste.

Yelp
Ordered a pickup order SA2. Goi Thap Cam, a seafood mixed salad and two noodle dishes SP3. Hu Tiu Kho, Mi Kho, Hoac Hu Tiu Nam Vang, NB2. Bun Ha Noi, Tom, Cha Gio. It was ready in 30 minutes! Easy. I regretted adding the dressing to the seafood salad! It made it too sweet and swamped the flavor of the ingredients - I was so excited to see so many delicious things (jellyfish is hard to find arounfd here) rolled into one plate but ultimately it was my least favorite. We ate the two noodle dishes pretty interchangeably - I liked the rice noodles in the SP3 dish more than the unmarinated noodles of NB2, but the grilled pork in the Bun Ha Noi was really tasty. Unfortunately I don't think I'd order any of the three dishes again. The sauces on their dishes are really sweet - maybe its geared for a more westernized taste? But it definitely made me curious to try more Vietnamese dishes beyond pho in the Denver area :) One day I'll give Savory Vietnam another shot - 3.5 stars. send me any recs you have!

Yelp
Such a sleeper hit! The nuance and depth of flavors reflect real care, and the portions are huge. TF11, the catfish in spice caramelized black pepper fish sauce, is one of the most addictive dishes in town. Friends are always intrigued by the massive ballroom setting, which recently got upgraded with some decor (though unfortunately also a large TV). Great for a 1-1 catchup with a buddy since there's often plenty of space around you for unencumbered conversation. Zero vibes for a date, but still fun if your +1 is up for adventures.

Yelp
Excellent food. They forgot one of my orders is why I am not giving them a 4. They have projectors playing the Broncos game on large screens last time we were there.

Yelp
A pho spot that you can't miss out on. The service was a bit lacking but the food was really good. The size of the restaurant was big enough to host an event type of party. The menu was a bit complex but I only wanted the pho. They used strong spices, so if you are not fan of strong spices then you need to reconsider it. The size of the pho was huge so get the smaller size. If you are not that hungry get the small and try something else from the menu. We didn't get a chance to try anything else since we were so full after eating that.

Yelp
This has got to be the worst restaurant. The service sucks worst than a$$. Don't know why anyone, including myself, would give this place a second chance. The other reviews has to be made up by the restaurant. I heard the same damn excuse over and over. We can't find workers...bullshit. Pay people. And you will get help. You wait 30 mi.it's in between dishes. Doesn't work with kids. Last time I come back here.

Yelp
It took COVID to get me to my new favorite Vietnamese restaurant in Denver! I can be a bit of a Vietnamese Food Snob being from Texas, but I really enjoyed it here. The menu might be a novel, but the food is delicious! It's locally owned, and worth supporting. Banh Mi Pho - You usually have to order this ahead of time, but it's so worth it. The banh mi is buttery and the meat is that perfect pho meat. The broth is flavorful and pairs perfectly with everything in the sandwich. Bun Bo Hue - A spicy alternative to pho. Super delicious and flavorful! If you love spicy beef noodle soup you need to try this! DIY Spring Roll - The perfect appetizer if you're with a group of friends. It's fun and everyone can make their spring roll however they want. Com Dac Biet - Specialty rice plate. If you're overwhelmed by all the protein options then get this! It's a little bit of everything and it's so tasty. Hoanh Thanh Mi Vit Quay - Noodle soup with wontons and duck. It's a large dish, but so worth it. Everything in this dish has you begging for more.
