One Michelin star restaurant that has the potential to be even better with a few tiny tweaks. All of the dishes were delightful, pretty to look at, and delicious. The primary theme is Finnish seafood, as pretty much all the dishes contained one form of seafood or another. Appetizers were small in portion size, but made up for it in flavor intensity. Main courses were larger, and equally tasty. Dessert was the star of the show as we wolfed down the interpretive tiramisu. The service was solid, if a bit slow for a Tuesday night. We had to sit and wait for about 15 minutes between each course. The air conditioning was either off or nonexistent, so it was just a tad muggy indoors. Enjoyable overall.

I had the absolute pleasure to dine in Restaurant Savu with my family this Christmas Eve. We all enjoyed our evening very much and had the chance to experiment very different kind of Christmas Eve dinner but with some very familiar tastes which made the long travel worthwhile. ( we are all Finns but flying in from different origins this time) When we arrived, we were seated swiftly to our table which was for our great surprise and pleasure the chef’s table in front of the kitchen. We opted to have the full 7 course menu and this proved to be a great choice. The food was truly amazing with great variety of well balanced, superbly prepared dishes presented on custom made tableware, all with story behind them. We really enjoyed all the menu items and the wine recommended with them. It is really hard to pick the winner because they were all excellent but maybe the vorschmack was my personal favorite. Chef Keppainen took the time to present all the dishes to us and to tell the story behind each plate in detail, highlighting the Finnish origin of some of the ingredients. This made our great evening even more special. The only negative experience was related to the service. They were really understaffed and this was unfortunately visible. But the did not ruin our great evening but definitely something they should consider in the future. Restaurant Savu is truly a excellent restaurant with amazing fcod and we will for sure return there as soon as possible.

Whatever dish we had, it was perfect! And also the service was great, as well as wine card offers a great choice.. Even the cutlery and porcelain were beautiful.. We have enjoyed every minute and will come back.

I do not know if it is the problem with the cooking just tonight. Because according to most if the comments it should be very good. The lobster soup and main course chicken are way too salty that you can not find any original testes of the foods thenselfs. Salad is ok and the tiramisu at last is good. Servise is so so. I travel around europe all year around, and have been to all kinds of restaurants, i think it is ok, but definitly one of the worst michelin.

Amazing food; the combination of Finish with Italian and Spanish accents works suprisingly well. The service was very attentive, personal, and passionate. And the pacing was exactly right for the 7 course feast. Highly recommended.

Amazing hospitality only outdone by creativity and flavor by chef Sauli. Lovely wine list with modest prices for the quality. Best new Berlin restaurant in years.

Oh, if I could give this restaurant more stars⭐️ ‼️Everything here is just perfect - interior, service, plates, music, people & most importantly - FOOD‼️We had genuinely blessed time & enjoyed ourselves immensely❗️We got lucky to be seated at the Chef’s table, so we watched the Master himself, Sauli Kemppainen, as he, together with his team created the masterpieces both delicious & stunning visually - and let me tell you its a scene worth watching❗️The restaurant has a friendly vibe & feels very cozy, almost home like thanks to Boris, Julie & of course Sauli himself who occasionally leaves his kingdom (kitchen) & casually serves you a plate that makes you skip a breath, cuz its so beautifully presented that you just feel guilty to ruin the perfect choreography of colors and shapes presented in front of you. It is truly an art what’s happening at Savu. We went there a day after the Michelin star was issued. In response to our congrats Sauli said “it is nice to be recognized, but it is not the reason why I do what I do” - he just loves what he does. And so do we‼️ I hope 🤞 Sauli will keep his promise to open a place in New York soon‼️ 😉
