Found this place for dinner after leaving a brewery nearby. The food is excellent. There was space and service was quick. The curries were incredible. The green curry and eggplant dish didn’t have too much coconut in the curry. The eggplant and tofu was amazing. We got medium which was perfectly flavorful (credentials: South Asian). We got the chicken Pad Thai and neither the chicken nor the noodles were dry and it came with fried tofu that was amazing. It was clean, spacious, and worth it.

Friendly service, good food. Nice place to hang out with a big sized group. To be honest, the food is just ok, with everything being on the too-sweet side. Flavors weren’t popping as far as Thai places go. Red curry Asked for mild and they said “it’s Thai” lol. But it was mild with a nice kick. Laab pork Warm pork. Came with cabbage slices, but more like strips and wedges, and too small to make wraps out of. Flavors weren’t popping, per se, but it was pretty good. Drunk noodles spicy it’s ok. Much rather go with the curry or laab. Pork belly It’s also ok. But much rather go with the curry or laab.

We arrived right when the restaurant opened. Seated and serviced really quickly. It's a popular place and filled up quickly. Probably because graduation cermonies just concluded as well. We got a lot of food. Pros: large portions, quick service. Delta: flavor just didn't hit. I don't know what was missing, but something was missing. Larb- I've never had such a watery larb before. *everything was a little too watery imo. Red curry - we liked the eggplants. I don't see it too often in curries, but it was really good. Pineapple fried rice - my dad ordered this item, and I didn't get to read through the ingredients, but there were no pineapples! We had a lengthy discussion about whether it's was called pineapple fried rice because of the color (bright yellow) or the presence of pineapples. 😅 definitely remember to ask for your pineapple, though. Red snapper- snapper was really tender and soft. Easy to eat, a bit spicy for us for late morning/afternoon. Loved the eggplants here also. Thai pork belly - this one is always a favorite in any thai restaurant, but this pork belly cut was a bit thick and hard to chew. It was mostly soft. The dish was watery, and interestingly, they added mostly regular broccoli and carrots instead of mostly Chinese broccoli. Thai steak- meat was tender. It doesn't present as appealing tbh, but it was probably one of the top dishes. The pepper sauce was really yummy, too.

If I lived in Sacramento, this would be my go-to Thai spot—I’d be here every week! We ordered the Laotian papaya salad spicy, and it was perfect—bold spice, bright tang, and incredibly flavorful. The drunken noodles had the ideal smoky wok flavor with just the right level of heat. The pad Thai was just as impressive, with a great balance of sweetness, acidity, and savory depth. Their chili oil was a standout—rich, fragrant, and added so much depth to every dish. If you’re looking for amazing Thai food in Sacramento, this is the place to go!

Google
I had the Drunken Noodles, which were great! The dish consisted of pan-fried thick rice noodles with egg, broccoli, bell peppers, and Thai basil. The mild spicy level was just right, and the dish was full of fragrance and flavor. I highly recommend it! However, I found the Calamari to be a bit disappointing. While it was lightly fried and served with a sweet chili sauce, the flour coating was too thick, overpowering the taste of the calamari inside. I couldn't quite distinguish the flavor of the calamari itself.

Not many people were around at night, but we were satisfied with the two dishes we ordered.

Great food with good portion sizes. The Sauces were amazing. Highly recommend.

Google
We got the thai coconut curry, spicy basil lamb, pineapple fried rice and mango sticky rice. Great flavors, good food. Spicy level was amazingly good. Hot might be a little much for most people, mild should be okay. I was craving spicy food and it just hit the spot, loved it.

Yelp
Sooo I was in Sacramento just for a day before heading to Napa. Didn't know what to do with myself for a couple of hours, so I ordered takeout from Sawasdee Thai. WOW! I was elated by what I received! I ordered a chicken pad Thai and I think maybe a Pad See Ew. Absolutely loved both. Wasn't planning to take any of the leftovers with me to Napa, but it was too good to leave behind. If you live in Sacramento, I am jealous that you get to eat at Sawasdee Thai and I don't!

Yelp
If you're looking for Americanized Thai food, this place might be for you -- but it wasn't for me. I was disappointed and felt misled by the 2K+ reviews. The Thai tea was probably the worst I've ever had -- and that's usually a hard drink to mess up. Another red flag: they don't even offer chopsticks unless you specifically ask, which already hints at a lack of authenticity. We tried the Thai crab fried rice, pineapple fried rice, Thai steak, drunken noodles, calamari, butterfly shrimp, chicken wings, and pork belly. Unfortunately, none of the dishes stood out. At best, they were mediocre.

Yelp
Overall a great experience! My first time trying Thai curry and it was AMAZING!! The curry with the rice was so delicious. The appetizer sampler was a great opener where you got to try many things. I mean you can't go wrong with a spring roll hehe. The Thai tea was amazing!! One of the best I've had. Pad Thai was ok, still one of the top I've had but I think mine just needed more peanuts and bean sprouts. Service was great though! Super friendly and and sure we always had water too (which was nice cause it was HOT). Cant wait to go back in a cooler month and try the outdoor seating. Parking here isn't too bad since since there are a lot of other businesses near by. Def wouldn't go on a market morning though since it's always crazy busy!

Yelp
This place is definitely a hidden gem! I got seated quickly, not even five minutes into being there we received our drinks and were able to order our appetizer. Our appetizer of choice was fried tofu. The fried tofu came with a yummy sweet sauce that we dipped our tofu in! Both our entree meals came out in a timely manner and were freshly cooked! The service was perfect, the server made sure our table stayed clear of dirty dishes and that we were satisfied with our food. The restaurant is a clean and relaxing environment to enjoy authentic Thai food with your friends or family!

Yelp
Came into Sawasdee's for the first time earlier this week. A group of friends of mine decidedly to have dinner here after Jui Jitsu and arrived about 20 to 9pm as a party of 12. The staff welcomed us and noted they closed at 9:30, so we weren't sure at first if we could be seated. But the staff quickly got things together and sat us after combining several tables of 4. We all looked over the menus for a few minutes and got water and Thai teas are we ready our orders. Since there was a larger number of us and my group likes to eat family style, and be able to try various dishes. We went ahead and order the following dishes for our whole group: Appetizers: Gyoza Main Courses: Crab Pad Thai Thai Steak Thai Coconut Curry Crab Fried rice (hot) Menu drinks: Thai Tea Overall: Great food, and great prices. Staff were friendly and very attentive, and had our dishes to us pretty quickly. I also appreciate them accommodating us still at the time we arrived, but wished it came off more hospitably. Since it gave the impression to hurry up, as soon as we sat down. Honestly I originally thought after they noted the time several times, that they were going to turn my group away. Thankfully we ended up being done and left about 15 mins after closing, and still enjoyed our meals not being rushed. Would come back and would recommend.

Yelp
Overall? I thought that this place crushed it. The curry was really good, like, dangerously close to ordering a second entree level good. They've got all the Thai classics you'd expect, plus a few curveballs if you're in the mood to have a culinary adventure. Service was quick and everything hit the table hot and ready Parking? Street options I had: Green curry (medium heat) + beef (4.5/5): Silky, aromatic, and rich without being heavy, the sauce nailed that perfect blend of creamy coconut, bright green chili, and punchy herbs. The beef was good but yeah, I could've used more of it. That's the only knock. Still, the dish was balanced, bold, and straight-up satisfying. Five out of five, with a side of don't be shy with the protein next time

Yelp
Pad see ew was too wet, Pad Thai was great, two color fish was well liked by son, chicken curry was liked by a friend but I prefer Penang curry.

Yelp
Casual Thai spot in Midtown open fairly late -- it was pretty quiet on a Friday night so we were seated immediately. I got the crab pad thai and it was a huge portion for about $22. It fed me for 3 meals! (And it still tasted good on the third day.) I wish they added more crab meat since the portion felt small, but I liked that they added tofu for extra protein. The service was friendly but it took pretty long for the food to come out.

Yelp
Loved this place enough, we came back a second night, lol. The staff are very friendly, attentive and helpful, which was the first thing we noticed. The restaurant is spacious, clean and had a really comfortable yet classy vibe. Everything was very neat with interesting decor on the walls, without being too much. We were thoroughly impressed with the food. The first night, we weren't hungry, so we thought we'd keep it "light" by ordering two dishes. Of course we had no idea what the portions would be, and it turned out to be a healthy amount of food, that we ended up with a ton of leftovers! I was expecting it to be not as flavorful and maybe "watered down"...after all, it was downtown Sacramento, right? But we were pleasantly surprised to find not only authentic tastes, but a home-y feel to the food, like it was cooked in someone's mom's kitchen! Brought back some old, old memories of when I was actually in Thailand moons ago! We were more careful with the amount of food ordered the next night, with a green curry and a satay appetizer. The curry was chock full of meat, eggplant, peppers, bamboo shoots, etc. it was really like comfort food for me. We also ordered the mango sticky rice - again, slightly different style from various different restaurants we tried, but the sticky rice had a good texture and the coconut dressing was light and fragrant. We got to talking with the two young ladies there, and found out that the restaurant has been there for about 9-10 years, and that it was basically family owned, and everyone knew everyone....We really enjoyed our experience, as it was our last night in Sacramento. A DEFINITE place to return to when we come back up here again. Thank you SO much for such a great and delicious experience! Please don't change anything, we hope to see you all when we return again! :) p.s. We actually brought our leftovers back home in SoCal, and had a full meal with it, it tasted even better as the flavors seeped in even more! Yum!

Yelp
This was my first time going to the restaurant and I really wish I would have ordered to go or not at all. The girls basically spoke to each other, there was no customer service offered. I ordered the Kai Soi gai and after she put in the order, I asked about spice- she said there's no spice, did you want to add spice? I said yes but had to ask for my options. I'm not sure why I wasn't asked prior. No suggestions, I asked for a to-go container and she brought me a tiny one that wouldn't fit my contents. She grabbed a second one and said that they don't have the big ones anymore. As I was struggling to pour the leftovers in the two containers, the other girl came over and said that she'd get me another container but watched me struggle while putting the other container closer to me. It was a big clunky bowl. My check was brought out by the other girl and my card was there waiting to be charged. I stood up so that I could go, she asked if I needed something. I said I need to pay so that I can go. She grabbed the bill, put it down and went to the back briefly. I got up to get a toothpick and she sat my bill down for me without a word. I picked it up walked back to my table and wrote "customer service would be great. I was disappointed in the service." They could both be more attentive and friendlier with customers. They didn't seem like they wanted to be there and made me feel like I was interrupting their social time. I won't be back because I value customer service too much to patron a place with untrained service staff.

Yelp
My husband and I are craving for some Thai food, so we drove to eat here again. No line ~ we were sat down right away on a Friday night, although street parking has a fee and not a lot available, the food came out right away and the shrimp pad Thai is delicious and not dry. My favorite was the sticky mango rice if the mangoes were a little bit sweet it would be perfect! I love the rice and the coconut milk sauce over it. I'll come back for the sticky mango rice.

Yelp
Imma go with 4.5 rating even though we didn't dine in and it was my first time here. With that said: My friend and I came in on a Friday afternoon to make an order to go. First impression walking in- they have a cute patio space. The dining room was cozy and we were greeted warmly. We looked at the menu beforehand, so we already knew what we wanted. We stopped on our way to Tahoe, so we wanted something satisfying, but easy to eat while charging our car. We ordered drunken noodles with shrimp and crab fried rice. Friday Lenten choices. Perfect choices as it turned out. Off top the best drunken noodles and Thai crab fried rice I've had. They were generous with the amount of shrimp and crab. The food is made to order so it's hot and fresh...(like your mom). The drunken noodles had the perfect amount of sauce so it was easy to separate, but not drowning in sauce. The broccoli was cooked perfectly as well. Not overcooked so it wasn't limp and soggy. It had a nice crunch to it still. We didn't want anything too heavy, but the portions fed 3 adults with some rice left to eat later. They gave us paper plates and utensils since we said we would be sharing/eating in the car. Real talk, we wanted to stop back here on our way home, but unfortunately time wasn't on our side. I will be recommending Sawasdee to anyone passing through Sacramento. Next time I'm in the area I will be stopping by! Side note- I tried the Thai ice tea, but it was too sweet and not enough tea flavor for my liking. Did that affect my rating? Not at all.

Yelp
Food was good, first time here. Came with my colleague for lunch. Service was attentive, it was Saturday. Not super busy. A good place to grab lunch while working or after work for a quick bite.

Yelp
This place has easily become one of my favorite Thai spots of all time! I enjoyed every single thing I ate here. Service is great and food is prepared super fast. My favorite dish here is the Spicy basil fried rice. The rice is moist and super flavorful! It was jaw-dropping delicious. Definitely a must try! You also can never go wrong with an order of pad see ew or yellow curry. Definitely the spot to order Thai food in Sacramento! The interior is pleasant and radiates a classic atmosphere.

Yelp
I ordered the yellow curry and really enjoyed it. I got it medium, and while it wasn't spicy, the spices had a nice depth of flavor. The portion size was generous too, which I appreciated. Overall, a satisfying meal!

Yelp
Tried Sawasdee for the first time this past Friday for a late lunch/early dinner. We were greeted immediately and seated. We ordered a couple of items. My boyfriend has been here before and he wanted me to try the Kai Soi Gai. We got it with pork. We also got the chicken yellow curry and crab fried rice. We were the only ones dining in at the time, so the food came out really quick. The Khao "Kao" Soi Gaiwas good! Perfect amount of sweetness from the curry and loved all the pickled veggies in the dish. It is a nice portion too. The crab fried rice was decent. I thought it could have used some more spice since it was on the plain side. It's not a big deal, but the dish only had two slices of tomatoes when that's one of the ingredients in the fried rice. The yellow curry was what I actually was craving. No complaints about the taste as it met all the requirements. My only thing is maybe the portion size of it? I thought it was on the smaller side. Usually at places I have a good amount of leftover curry, but didn't really have that here. Overall, I think this is a great place to have Thai food and the atmosphere is very nice and welcoming. Would recommend you to come try it out when you're in downtown.

Yelp
The first word that comes to my mind in an Anthony Bourdain voice is "superb". We decided to venture out from our typical Thai spot. Which we will always have a place in our heart for. When you walk in it's very clean and beautiful. The staff are very friendly and professional. Even the glass of water with lemon is so fresh and spring like. The Thai tea is perfect balance of sweet smoky. The food is extremely fresh and abundantly flavorful in each bite. We had so much food to take home. The best part Thai food is known to increase in flavors the next day (left overs). And it was exactly that. We ordered the following: Appetizer Platter Papaya Salad (with no tomato or green beans per our request) Coconut Shrimp Curry Avocado curry Pineapple fried rice
google avatar

Mari S.

Yelp
Food is full of flavor, authentic and all the perfect amount of spice as you request your level of spice per dish. Freshly made always. Staff is always welcoming and very friendly. Service was great. For appetizers we Ordered Fresh Spring rolls with the house made peanut sauce, sauce served warmed and very flavorful. Main course: drunken noodles, Thai fried rice, Thai Basil (Kra Pow), Yellow curry. All with chicken and medium spice and for desert we ordered sweet mango sticky rice. All main courses were great flavor. Yellow curry had a hint of coconut flavor and great over white rice. I would highly recommend this place for some great Thai food and especially the Thai Basil and Drunken Noodle dish. By far my 2 favorites of this visit and you can never go wrong to finish the meal with the mango sticky rice. One of go to's for some great tasting Thai food in downtown Sacramento
google avatar

Sargun S.

Yelp
I will say this is one of the better Thai restaurants I have been to but still left something lacking The pad Thai was overly sauced, a little goopy, and too sweet. The fried spring rolls were drenched in oil. The only thing we enjoyed was the pineapple fried rice. The restaurant was nice, decor was pretty, and service was average. Feel like there are better places out there.

Kriste P.

Yelp
Old, dry, overcooked Satay crumbled when I took a bite. Sooo nasty. The Pomodore went straight to the trash. I had requested that they remove the head. They replied by writing on the delivery box that they can't remove the head. I would have changed my order if they had the courtesy to call. Since I become ill when someone plates fish with the head still on, I consider their handling of my simple request totally disrespectful of their customer. Thanks for ripping me off for $40 (with driver's tip)

Yelp
This was one of the only places open on our drive home from the mountain and I'm so glad we stopped by! There are plenty of tables inside, but no one else since it was so late, so we were seated and ordered quickly. We got the vegetable fresh spring rolls, green curry with tofu, pad see ew, fried rice, and mango sticky rice. The spring rolls were super fresh and it came with two sauces, which were both tasty! The pad see ew and fried rice were also delicious! The noodles and rice weren't mushy and there was a good amount of vegetables and protein in both. The green curry was tasty, but if you are sensitive to spice don't get it. It was a little spicier than I thought it'd be. For dessert we got the mango sticky rice. I didn't really enjoy this dish because the mango wasn't ripe. Maybe it would be better if the mango was ripe.

Yelp
Hands down the best Thai spot I've had. Their food? Delish! Service? Great! Parking? So-so. Metered street parking. Inside is cute and I love the decor. We were trying to figure out what it once was since there's a big glass garage door, but I totally love the vibe inside. Tried their Drunken noodes. So good!

Yelp
Fantastic food and service. We came on a Saturday afternoon and had the place to ourselves for a bit until it started filling up around 2 PM. Ordered the green curry, pad thai, and fresh spring rolls. All were delightful and tasted bright, spicy, and fresh! I love their garage-door windows because you have a nice view of the pedestrians and traffic traveling down J Street. Makes for a relaxing afternoon just people-watching and enjoying awesome food. Server was very attentive and friendly. Love this place!

Yelp
I was still nursing a gut problem but my kid wanted one of our benchmark dishes, pad khee mao with chicken. Surprisingly given the top reviews of this restaurant, we found at this this particular dish to be just OK. The portion was reasonable, but the flavor was uninspired. It was below average pad khee mao. It also came with a garnish of bean sprouts and shredded carrots, which I am not sure if that's really authentic, but the carrots didn't look fresh so we didn't bother eating them. The ambience is great there, and the service was super. Love the big gold budhha.

Yelp
Decided that I would try the new dish, the Avocado Green Curry, and my partner would get a spin on a classic, the Crab Pad Thai. We started with the calamari which was fairly bland but the tangy sauce made up for lack of flavor in the batter. Pieces of calamari felt fresh and were more like "fries" so more breading to meat ratio, which is not my preference. The Avocado Green Curry was quite superb but spicy, even when indicating mild spice please :) For the non adventurous eater that I am, I found the spice to be able to be cut nicely with the warm avocados in the dish and the generous side of rice. The portion was huge and could nicely be shared between two people. Boyfriend wanted his Crab Pad Thai spicy and they sure brought the heat. Very tasty but light on crab meat as scrambled eggs supplemented the main protein. Overall, nothing spectacular about the pad thai but everything did feel fresh. They have a small beer and wine list but we stuck with water this time. Is definitely worth grabbing takeout from as ambiance is a little basic, but service was nice and quick.

Yelp
We visited Sawasadee on a Friday night since we were craving some Thai food! We were seated really quickly and helped with excellent customer service. We ordered the Green Curry, Drunken Noodle, and Thai fried rice. The green curry was perfectly spicy and had really good flavor. The Thai fried rice was my favorite - it had a sweet taste & I loved everything that was in it! The only downside of Sawasadee is it's on J street downtown, so parking can be a bit difficult if you come during peak times. Sawasadee definitely filled our cravings and we had an amazing experience here!

Yelp
What a pleasant surprise I stumbled on while in beautiful downtown Sacramento. So, I came across Sawasdee Thai Cuisine since it was within walking distance from my hotel and I was craving Thai food for dinner. Thanks to all the great Yelp reviews I ended up choosing this restaurant over any others and I'm glad I did! Atmosphere, I would say this is probably one of the cutest little Thai restaurants I've been to. There are plenty of inside tables and a cute outdoor patio for seating during the summertime. My deep-fried fish was delicious and thanks to the waitress recommending the dish. Looks like I found my favorite Thai restaurant in Sacramento. 5 Stars for reasonably priced & delicious food and for friendly service. I'll be back! Enjoy and Bon Appétit.

Yelp
We had lunch with our friends & kids during holiday. The restaurant is spacious and comfortable. We parked on the street near the restaurant. - Papaya salad: good acidity & refreshing. - Pad thai with chicken: delicious! The noodle was perfectly cooked. The pad thai was very flavorful and we could taste the fish sauce. They gave plenty of chicken pieces. The portion was good too. - Pineapple fried rice with chicken: my favorite! I usually prefer pad thai to fried rice but the pineapple fried rice was delicious! The rice was succulent and it had deep flavor. There were lots of tender chicken pieces too. Overall, the taste, price & portion were good. We would be back to try different menu.

Yelp
Went here based on Yelp reviews and close proximity and it did not disappoint. The salad was tasty, my husband who hates fish sauce enjoyed the salad and the high light was the fish, see photo and the crab fried rice was also good. The service was good. Happy customers.

Yelp
I came here on a Wednesday night with some friends. There wasn't many customers so we were able to join multiple tables together without waiting. The place was quiet and simply comforting with how warm and inviting it felt. I once again got the crab meat fried rice and it didn't disappoint! The single portion was enough to satisfy a few people. I also got the pad see ew (beef) and the flavor and texture of the flat noodles was perfect. Not super chewy and cooked just right. The sauce definitely complimented the noodles well. The beef was a bit tough or dry at times but overall still a great dish. I'd come back here again if I'm ever craving my favorite Thai dishes.

Yelp
I've been here several times because the food is consistently delicious! My recent visit was with a big group of 12, which easily accommodated us because the restaurant is spacious and has lots of seating. Our table ordered a variety of dishes such as the spring rolls, drunken noodles, crab pad thai, BBQ chicken & rice, and yellow coconut curry. My personal favorite is the crab pad thai because of how flavorful the sauce is. The service was great and accommodating to our big group. it gets pretty busy on weekend evenings, so I recommend making online reservations to avoid the wait.

Yelp
Really good preparation and big serving sizes. We got Panang curry, pad Thai of all types and mango cashew chicken.

Yelp
My first time trying Thai food was amazing thanks to Sawasdee's! The pad thai serving was huge and soo satisfying and the steak was grilled perfectly. The food easily great and so were the staff. If you haven't checked this place out make sure you do so soon! I will definitely be coming back!

Yelp
Stopped by for dessert and got the mango sticky rice! The ladies were so sweet and it was about 11 dollars if i remember correctly for this plate and pretty darn worth! The inside was really spacious and decorated! Would love to come back for the pad thai yumm

Yelp
I really liked my lunch here. As always when dining Thai restaurants I order Thai tea. This one came in a nice mason mug and the tea checked out :) the satay chicken was good and I loved the vegetable salad. I had the green curry with rice. It was spicy but I couldn't stop eating it lol The decor is great. Overall really solid Thai spot.

Yelp
My friend and I were looking for a place to eat for dinner when this came up on my search results. I'm so glad we found this place because I'm obsessed. The service was great. Our orders were both taken and made quickly. It felt like we hardly waited. I got the pad Thai with chicken and it tasted amazing. The serving size was massive and I ended up taking some home. My only minor complaint was that the noodles were a bit too chewy for my liking. However, when I ate my left overs the next day, this wasn't a problem. Also, the favors were just too good that I didn't mind it. My friend got the See Ew and Thai tea and she let me try some of hers- the noodles and drink were both a 10/10. So many items on the menu caught our attention, we will definitely come back to try them all!

Yelp
Placed a to-go order yesterday prior to their afternoon closing time (3pm). Pick-up was smooth and easy. The food was packaged in a good quality container. I ordered Thai Hot Drunken Noodles and a pot stickers appetizer. Drove from midtown to Elk Grove and my food was still nice and hot. The food itself was very tasty. I've gone to a couple of places searching for spicy and tasty drunken noodles and have been disappointed. This was not the case at Sawasdee! The Thai Hot wasn't as spicy as I've experienced at Thai Terrace, but it was still spicy and delicious! The pot stickers were as you would expect. They were good too, but I wasn't overly excited about them. The quality of the drunken noodles is what sold me. I would 100% order again and recommend this restaurant

Yelp
I ordered take out for dinner. It was a holiday so the restaurant wasn't very busy but I was impressed that my food was still very hot when I got home, even after running an additional errand. Thank you Sawasdee! I was impressed! I ordered Basil rice, Pas Thai and green curry. Everything was divine! Delish! And I have enough for 2 more meals. They definitely give generous portions! When I'm in town, I'm coming here again! Yom!

Yelp
An excellent lunch of all the standards, pad thai, mango salmon, eggplant with pork, and green curry chicken. Flavorful with generous portions.

Yelp
I've tried this place three times and it's hit or miss. The service is always great and the restaurant looks nice. It could be a nice date spot or a time to catch up with friends. Overall the food is good and the serving sizes are large. I would suggest checking it out if you enjoy Thai food but you'll probably have to try it a few times to know if you like it. Food that I tried from here Garlic Prawns Seafood Medley Pad Thai Drunken noodles

Yelp
Not the best Thai food, service was ok. Too bad because their location is great. Not planning on going back.

Yelp
Was craving thai food and decided to check out Sawasdee in Sacramento! Holy, those craving were definitely satisfied!!! Their portions were super generous at a good price point. The restaurant staff were kind and attentive which just added to our experience. For lunch, we ordered pad thai which was super flavorful and very balanced. It had large chunks of tofu and chicken which was offset by crunchy vegetables. I'm still dreaming about this pad thai! The tom yum was the perfect blend of sour, aromatic and spicy. My friend got beef in her tom yum, I plan on trying the chicken version when I come back. The panang curry was super rich and flavorful!

Yelp
Merely An Update Re-Confirming Thai Cuisine Awesomeness! SITREP My sweet friend Marija came from the Bay Area to hang out with me in Sacramento and we both confirmed our craving for some Thai food (AFTER talking about spicy Asian cuisines all afternoon!). THE SETUP Lucky me to have Sawasdee Thai Cuisine in my hood, for realz! So that made the decision -making and the quick brisk walk an easy sell! THE MENU There are oh so many most excellent dishes to dive into here! * The Crab Pad Thai is to die for! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sawasdee-thai-cuisine-sacramento?select=Sv2UMtWYKfn1vt6IDYqThw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w * Chicken Satay-Crispy Rolls-Dumplings are fantastic appetizers! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sawasdee-thai-cuisine-sacramento?select=MwxXEQES31thxfxWcA7BSw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w * Yellow Curry Vegetables! https://www.yelp.com/biz_photos/sawasdee-thai-cuisine-sacramento?select=Sv2UMtWYKfn1vt6IDYqThw&userid=3mNz5nQFTIBQm0oU5mBR0w * Hot Teas of your choice along with many yummy condiments! ECONOMICAL! Excellent price points, with most entrees between $10 - $15 and the appetizers between $7-$10. PARKING Coveniently on the street around the 19th & J Street blocks. (If someone(s) in your party complain because they don't want Asian cuisine, just send them across the street to the Old Spaghetti Factory - that's what I've done on occasions!) THE LOWDOWN Sawasdee is definitely the place to head to satiate your Thai cravings any night of the week! ENJOY!

Yelp
Let's start off by saying, their service was good. Very attentive, fast and friendly. Their menus are offered through a QR code at the table. These are the foods I ordered: Calamari (5/5): Their calamari was delicious ! The breading was perfect. It was very light but still provided a nice crunch. The calamari was cooked very well and it wasn't such a chewy texture. Basil Pomfret (5/5): I asked for Spicy and it hit the spot! The fish was fried and the sauce on top was absolutely AMAZING. Extremely flavorful and the perfect amount of spice. It really reminded me of my grandma's cooking. Definitely a MUST TRY! Beef Pad Thai (4/5): This was really good as well. The noodles were cooked very well with a slight chewy texture but not undercooked. It was a good consistency. It was good, I but didn't feel like there was anything super special about it. However, like I said it was still good. Thai Tea (2/5): I personally did not enjoy the Thai Tea. In my opinion, they added too much milk so it lacked the flavor of the Thai Tea.
