Someone told me about this location as I expressed a desire to learn how to use my digital camera more effectively. I signed up for the Digital Photography 101 class. The cost is $160 but they do have scholarships available. I was blessed to be awarded one and only had to pay about $60 for the class! This particular class is every Tuesday night for the month of September. There are LOTS of creative classes available in numerous mediums. I’ll post a few screenshots to give an idea! They also have classes for youth! There is a parking lot directly across from the building. Just be mindful not to park in any reserved spots. There is also some street parking nearby. The location is visually appealing which I appreciated. The staff members I encountered were very pleasant and helpful as I found my way to the photography studio. The instructor Sydni Bibb is very engaging, helpful and supportive as we all learn what we’re doing. I will be relocating soon but if I weren’t, I’d be coming here for lots more opportunities to foster my creative side! Incredible place!

The Taste of Art classes are fantastic! They're a great price and you can do so much with them. It's a great way to see if you want to commit to a full class. The instructors are always so fun and friendly! Even if you think you're not "creative" or "artistic" you should try these classes because they walk you through everything and anyone at any level can make something to be proud of.

Website is horrible. Trying to register for class for friend and I but not able to do it, because website will not allow changes where they need to be. I'd I could go register in person I would

Really cool place for kids and adults to learn and practice different art forms.

Very unprofessional and terrible so-called "teaching" in their classes. Teachers are disinterested in actually teaching and act as if it is an imposition if you ask questions in a class they are meant to teach as though it were some type of imposition upon their more valuable than your time. Had had the misfortune of classes with two out of three instructors who've been quite rude and incompetent "teachers". I do NOT recommend if you are going to try something that should have been enjoyable. It is tedious at best. Stay home and watch a YouTube tutorial instead.

In the last several months I've taken a watercolor class and a Saturday wet felting class. Both of the teachers were very knowledgeable and a lot of fun. I really enjoyed them both and look forward to taking more classes.

Mixed experience at the gallery shop. Some of the employees/volunteers have been helpful. On other visits I have either been ignored completely or followed around while being made to feel unwelcome. I am new to the area so perhaps this is how some of the ladies that work here are. I am not new to being profiled and that is certainly the impression I am left with here at times.

The Sawtooth building is a Winston-Salem landmark. It has so much history plus they offer art classes to the community and for children. There is also a public gallery and shop you can visit off the street. Can't find it? Look for the sawtooth rooftops and you are close!
