Say Cheez

One of the worst experiences I've had eating out. I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and try it again in the future, but everything was either mediocre or disappointing. First, I waited 25 minutes with no lunch rush for 1 empanada and 1 quesadilla (I will say that the staff member was gracious in his apology). Second, the beef empanada was very underwhelming. The type of dough they used for the empanada (tasted like cornmeal) was not crispy at all and there was too much of it. The beef was decent but could barely taste it. Lastly, the salsa for my quesadilla was sour and spoiled. I don't think I'll be coming back soon.

I enjoy a good grilled cheese sandwich, so when I heard one was in Princeton, I had to check it out. My son and I stopped in for lunch on a Monday. The place isn’t actually facing the road. It sits behind the Thomas Sweet Ice Cream Shop, so be aware of that if you go looking for the restaurant. If you’re facing the ice cream shop, go to the left. Upon entering the building, I didn’t think it looked like much. There were only five or six stools and not much counter space to eat at. It’s definitely not a place to go if you want to sit and eat around a table with others, although some picnic tables are available outside. The menu looked straightforward enough if you wanted to make your own sandwich. Pick a bread, up to two kinds of cheeses, and one option from a limited selection of veggies, and then add a sauce. Everything else is extra, including proteins. Then we discovered a menu on the counter. The sandwich price was a little more than what appeared on the TV screen, but it was only 25 cents, so no big deal. The menu also had other pre-created sandwiches, but we decided to make our own. Once we had ordered, I decided to keep the receipt, and I was shocked. The bread added an extra 10 cents, the mozzarella added another 10 cents and that pepper jack cheese cost an additional 35 cents, even though the displayed menu didn’t show any extra costs. Now those aren’t big increases, but that’s not what the menu said the cost would be. So with the extra 25 cents for the sandwich as noted earlier, that adds up to 80 cents more than what the TV screen showed, more than a 10% increase. On top of that, I noticed they didn’t have my cheese order correct, so I went back and corrected it. But after eating half my sandwich, I realized they had now taken out the more expensive pepper jack completely and just replaced it with mozzarella. So how was the sandwich? I enjoyed it. The bacon I added had nice flavor, the tomatoes and lettuce seemed fresh, and the bread was soft even after being grilled. Personally, for me though, I don’t like surprises on cost. Fix the menu. Adjust the pricing model. But don’t advertise one price and then literally nickel and dime me while I’m placing my order.

I was really happy they had free coffee and water. A bit tight for sitting area but still good. My reuben melt was $12. The sandwich was very good but not amazing. Maybe the beef was less than stellar or I don’t like reubens that much? Great service. I will be back.

I had a below average experience. The Mac and cheese in sandwich was cold and when I complained I was offered another one. It was extremely oily and was not good at all. The second grilled cheese arrived cold as well. Taste was average or below average as well.

Nice little cafe style sandwich shop. I wouldn't come here expecting to get a cheap grilled cheez, but what you get is quite delicious. I got the farmer (goat cheese, spinach, and roasted beets) with a dipper of tomato basil soup. I even had enough of the soup leftover to eat by itself. You can build you own but they have more than enough to satisfy a unique flavor itch. Likely that I won't be a regular (due to the expense) but will absolutely come back.

Wonderful service, quick and accurate order filled for six people, and amazing selection of sandwiches. I will definitely be back!

Did a make my own grilled cheese with pepper jack and cheddar on rye, with marinara sauce as a dipping sauce. Overall tasted good, but I wish the cheese had been just a little more melted

Revisiting after almost a decade. The owner was at the counter. Push to order drinks was quite obvious. Couple of things bothered us - when ordering, we’re not asked of bread preference. Have to self advocate, otherwise the cheapest option is assigned default. And having ordered a vegetarian meal, got served a chicken item. Very disagreeable and stressful experience. Note - seeing a vegetarian empanada (a unicorn if you will) , ordered it only to be disappointed majorly. It was bland and soaking in oil. Even the tiger fries are horribly oily.

College town precious and rhymes with spray cheese, Say Cheez on Nassau Street in Princeton just might be an answer to a reviewers prayer looking for no degrees of separation from Cheez Whiz and the other dregs of aerosol snack food. Well, sorry to disappoint but Say Cheez is really good. Their signature grilled cheese sandwich has a respectable amount of the real moo cow cheddar and enough fresh tomato to add moisture and bring them honor. I've also had the Reuben here and enjoyed it thoroughly. As for value, the cost is astonishingly close to the cadaver-based hoagies at Subway, who I'm sure would resort to spray-on toppings if they could get away with it. Five cheezy stars.

How a school town cafe should be . Affordable, variety, interesting choices in a cozy setting . Lovely outdoor seating , feisty food as described by my niece. Avocado salad is fresh simple salad with baby arugula creamy sliced avocados, tangy pico with a drizzle of their olive oil . Must try for salad lovers Fries with tiger sauce & is fried tomato mayo was like yin & yang . Princeton & Caprese was grilled to perfection with balanced flavors yet fresh warm & delightful. Order online on their website and you get phone notifications when it's ready. Walk in pick up your bag making it so convenient . Parking could be a challenge as it's in the busy Princeton area .

Grilled cheese was just 2 slices of white bread with 2 slices of cheese in the middle, not even melted. Also got the Beefy Mac sandwich, beef was dry with no flavor, Mac and cheese was horrible!!

I came here for lunch recently with a couple of friends and enjoyed myself! I ended up walking to Say Cheez, but there is plenty of parking available on Nassau and in the nearby parking garages. Honestly, I was a little hesitant to come here at first because I thought they would only serve grilled cheese sandwiches (which are OK, but not my favorite) but I was very wrong! They had numerous sandwiches, soup, and even empanadas. I ended up ordering the Nassau St., which was basically a Philly cheesesteak with sundried tomato mayo. Not bad at all, but I would probably skip the mayo next time. One friend ordered a grilled cheese sandwich and some tomato soup and thought they were decent, although maybe a little too pricey, and my other friend got the empanadas and was not a fan. He felt like they were a little too plain with just beef inside - where were all the extra goodies like peas or potatoes?! Service was decent but it was a little slow, primarily because there were only two people working (we did arrive right at opening). There were a handful of seats inside at bar-type seating against the window, but we decided to eat outside at one of the nearby tables due to the weather being quite nice. I will likely come back here since my food was pretty tasty and decently affordable.

I've been wanting to try Say Cheez for so long after hearing many good things and I finally got the chance to go. I wish I lived closer because I would come here all the time!! They have a huge selection of sandwiches for reasonable prices and you can even make your own. I got the Nassau St sandwich and have no regrets. It tastes like a Philly Cheesesteak but with more veggies. My favorite part of the sandwich was the Sun-dried Tomato Mayo, which made the sandwich feel lighter. The Truffle Cheez Steak was similar but a bit heavier with the meat. Service was quick and the staff was friendly. They have a lot of other dish options, from desserts to salads, and empanadas. I can't wait to go back and try a new sandwich!

I tried the turkey Reuben and enjoyed my sandwich .... and it was delivered . I would imagine it's better if it was eaten in store . Would order it again Friends like their sandwiches . Can't remember what they got

My partner and I spotted Say Cheez Café on a random visit to Princeton. It was a gloomy Sunday afternoon and something with cheese sounded like it would be exactly what we needed. The shop is fairly small, but we were the only ones inside so we managed to snag the counter seats. They offer gluten-free bread, so I was beyond ready to order a sandwich, a true rarity for me. I ordered a caprese sandwich and my partner opted for the chickie mac. My sandwich was fairly neat while the chickie mac was a monster! The CM is not for the faint of heart, but according to my partner, very worth the mess as it was scrumptious. We also ordered their truffle fries, which probably could have used more truffle seasoning.

So I am leaving Princeton after an exhausting facial and discover an empty parking spot on Nassau St. We stood on south side of the street where we could see nine eateries side by side. We selected one and crossed the street. As we arrived on the far sidewalk we noticed a sign alerting us to the Say Cheez Cafe. Being cheese lovers, we turned and crossed the street again. Say Cheez is a small shop facing the alley with a few umbrella shaded outdoor tables. We entered and saw most of the menu on signs above the counter. A gentleman took our order and asked our name and said he would bring the order out to us. Bags were coming out the door and being put on a stand to await pick up. People kept appearing and bags kept disappearing. What a great take out business they do. Our bag appeared and we sat at one of the tables. My sandwich was a sloppy taco. It had angus ground beef with melted cheddar cheese, jalapeños, Doritos chips and sour cream on the best toasted and buttered rye bread ever. Delicious. She had the Truffle Cheesesteak which came with roasted red pepper, Spanish onion and sautéed mushrooms and truffle whiz whatever that may be. She enjoyed it almost as much as I enjoyed mine. Great recipes, high quality ingredients, unbelievable taste. Total comfort food. I was blown away by Say Cheez Cafe. You have to try it.

Went with my dad, amazing service, delicious food (especially the fries). Overall great vibe as well, super chill and laid back. Great place, would recommend to anyone looking for great food in Princeton.

Service: Quick and friendly. There are 3-4 outdoor seating areas, which is nice on a sunny day. Food: We ordered tiger fries, truffle fries, cheesesteak empanadas, Louisiana blackened chicken, and chicken part sandwich. I though the food was average. For the fries, they had messed up our order and given us two tiger fries. However they were really nice about remaking a new order of truffle fries for us. I enjoyed the fries, but thought the sandwiches were okay. Price: about $9 per sandwich, $4.50 per empanada, and about $5 for fries

This is a fun place to visit. The price is good, I got the Mac n cheese sandwich (like a Mac n cheese grilled cheese), 6 mozzarella sticks, and a soda for $16. That's average for the area in terms of a lunch price. Took them 12-15min to complete my order because of some problem with their delivery person (tip: don't get delivery since they kept saying how unreliable their driver is). Food was good; mozzarella sticks tasted fresh. Mac n cheese sandwich was really full and the Mac n cheese kept falling out. I wish they had used a panini press or a larger bun for it so it wasn't so messy. It was completely empty when I went around 1:15pm on a Friday. Nice staff. It's a bit out of the way for me so I wouldn't necessarily come back unless I was already close to it.

I love mac and cheese but wasn't aware of this place until just recently! The location is a bit hidden- you have to go around to the side of the building to enter. Not very spacious inside and the vibes are mid- more of a place to get takeout and eat outside in a park or something, in my opinion. I came ~45 min before their closetime and sadly was unable to try the chicken caesar salad (a bit unsure what the employee said for the reason but I think they were out of some ingredients?) but was still able to get a bowl of mac and cheese. There were tiny bits of peppers(?) inside, which I wasn't expecting, as well as a little bit of some red powder seasoning that was slightly spicy. I personally don't like my mac and cheese spicy (due to an unfortunately low spice tolerance) and was caught off guard (the menu just says mac and cheese), but if you're the type of person always looking to jazz up your mac and cheese in some way, this would be a great choice for you. Some of the noodles were overcooked though, and the cheese was sort of separated from the noodles instead of coating it. Overall, good overall flavor but texture was lacking. Perhaps I'll try again sometime in the future during the middle of the day when they're more active instead!

Had to ask to actually grill my sandwich as the cheese wasn't melted at all. Disappointed. Don't understand why you would not grill the roll.

Fast, friendly, and with some good healthy choices. Pretty good avocado toast with lots of salad greens and (you guessed it) avocados. Bread for toast is, most likely, market sourced bread, so nothing too signaturish. They have tables for outdoor seating so enjoying them, weather permitting. If planning a pickup then order online and avoid any wait.

Hot spot here on Nassau street! Extremely fast and welcoming service even when it gets busy. Really can't go wrong with any of their options, and the people working are always happy to offer recommendations. Ventured a bit from the classics and went with the Jack Daniel's Pork BBQ last time - absolutely loaded with bacon and pork and delicious sauce. This place always leaves you wanting more! Great outdoor seating and pickup system as well.

Interesting concept but the implementation is only ok. The sandwiches are very greasy. However, there is a wide variety on the menu.

I was not impressed. I am comparing this to 'Tom & Chee' which is my favorite grilled cheese place (before it closed down). I ordered the Beefy Mac Grilled Cheese which was just okay... nothing more and nothing less. It was a decent size but the flavor was just alright. I also ordered the Tiger Fries and they gave me regular fries. I don't think the guy who was putting in the order and ringing me up was suppose to be doing that since he was looking around for someone for awhile. I wouldn't be back or recommend to be honest. You can get better grilled cheese somewhere else.

Good empanadas. Beef blend was better than the chicken. Solid fries. Seemed to have been fried fresh on the spot. As a New Yorker, I found the price a little high for empanadas but quality was there. If it was warm you could have eaten outside but no real inside seating. Good take out option.

Okay, my partner and I are finally giving up on this place. I've given them too many chances, and EVERY SINGLE TIME we've ordered something hasn't been right. First: our sandwiches and fries were both customized correctly per my allergy notes. Unfortunately after eating about 1/4th of the fries, we found a bunch of broken plastic on the bottom of the container. We told the staff about this and they were more than happy to remake the fries, except they remade them with salt and pepper after reminding them not to because I'm allergic to black pepper. Second: brought my family. Everyone's sandwich was fine except for mine. We ordered in person - I got the Cheez Burger w/grilled onions and mushrooms. Reminded the cashier I'm allergic to bp, please don't add that. Ok! When I got it there was no bp, but also no onions or mushrooms. I let that one slide because I was starving and it did taste good. Third: got some mac and cheese. Put in an allergy reminder for the bp. I made the mistake of waiting until we got home to open the container to find my mac LOADED with bp. Sigh. Fourth: pictures are included for this one and you can see for yourself the mistakes they made. This time I didn't add a specific allergy note, just the omits for spicy brown mustard and bp (allergic to both these things). I guess they don't read them either way. I gave them a semi-angry phone call and the manager (I'm guessing) was completely frazzled and had no idea what I was talking about. He even said "Oh well we're really busy right now." Yikes, that's in no way a good reason to not check someone's order. I don't ask for things to be omitted for fun! He asked if I wanted my order redone or a refund. Refund please. So far, they're only refunded me the sandwich. The only person who did anything right for this order was the delivery driver. Seriously you guys. JUST. READ. NOTES. and quit trying to kill people with food allergies. What the heck.

The cubano sandwich was the worst I have ever tasted. It was swimming in mustard and the pork looked like it was shredded and old. The sandwich wasn't even warm as all cubano sandwiches need to be.

We had the tiger fries, they were perfect with the right amount of salt and pepper, topped with the tiger sauce(more like spicy mayonnaise sauce)! We couldn't try the sandwiches which they are famous for as we were not that hungry.

Make sure you don't visit this place before 11am ANY DAY. The opening hours anywhere are out of date. Although their website/google said they are open at 10am on weekend (and yelp said 9!), this is not true. Placed an online order at 10:20 am on a Sunday, got a fourty minutes wait in the cold wind. I called them in the middle of the wait but nobody answered the phone except the recorded voice saying they should be open now. One lady was in there during my wait but she cannot speak English. Finally another staff handed me the sandwich after my loooooong wait; didn't even get a "sorry" from them from beginning to the end. Pretty sad that tech is making the experience worse, not better. Food was okay, but obviously not worth the unnecessary wait.

Hands down the best Grilled Cheese, Tomato, Bacon that I have found. I would have left five stars here, but the ordering process was more difficult than it could have been. If you are inclined to leave a generous tip, this is the place to do so. The staff is first class. Cheers, and thank you for an amazing lunch Say Cheese. VB

An easy miss when youre in Princeton due to the surrounding food joints but you NEED to stop by. Small place but vast menu of create your own sandwiches and their own specials. Go to date spot if you have a person in mind.

This was my first time at Say Cheez and it definitely won't be my last! They have such a wide selection on their menu that I look forward to trying something new next time! I got takeout with a friend, and we got the Avocado Toast and Mac and Cheez sandwich. As seen in the picture, this is not your standard avocado toast. They elevate it by including a fair amount of arugula along with feta and pico de gallo with the expected toast (sourdough bread) and avocado. The only critique is that, for the $10 avocado toast, I would appreciate the inclusion of more avocado slices instead of the majority of the bowl being the arugula. After all, the name of the order is "Avocado Toast," and not "Arugula Toast." However, fortunately, they provided two of the bowls seen in the picture since only one wouldn't have been filling. Overall, if possible, I would give Say Cheez 4.5 stars, and I would definitely recommend it!

Coming to Princeton from far away, I missed eating the avocado and chicken sandwich I used to make at home. However, I've already been to Say Cheez over eight times over the past three months because I can customize my own sandwich with avocado, chicken, provolone and ranch that is reliably made to perfection! The flavors have nowhere to hide!

with an office in princeton we are always looking for new places to order lunch. we discovered this a few months ago and it really is delicious. i usually got chicken fingers and believe me they are not chicken fingers. definitely would say "chicken breasts". the mac and cheese is delicious

So a good while back when i first went to Hoagie Haven, Say Cheez was on my radar a second stop, i had originally planned to grab disco fries to go along with my fat sandwiches, Alas t'was not meant to be, me and my buddy couldn't find it for the life of us! Turns out, its just down the alley, tucked on the side of Thomas Sweet up a short little ramp by the tables. Though the small live concert at that time had the entire alley filled with people- prompting us to scour the nassau strip scratching our heads and shrugging our shoulders YESTERDAY we redeemed ourselves. Proved we aren't 100% blind, and made Say Cheez the main focus for our meal plan for the night. I personally went with a Beefy Mac, and Disco Fries, Broseph a similar option Beefy Mac, but Cheese Fries instead, last but not least our resident picky eater and my childhood best friend chose an eccentric combination of the Smashed Meatball and Onion Rings. Before we ordered we waited around outside to lay claim to one of the tables for dining, and struck up conversation with one of the employees who noticed us and came out for a friendly chat very nice guy, and he clearly works his ass off- was hustling and bustling after things started picking up and /still/ made time for conversation during the lulls hanging out back outside chatting with us. During this conversation i did however learn an interesting tid-bit, EVERYTHING, save for three are handled in house, those being the Onion Rings, Mozzarella Sticks, and the Bread. The Beefy mac was quite good, the mac noodles were nice and soft, the cheese as you'd expect- a smoother more understated flavor palate with earthy tones, the hallmark of most home made mac, The brisket however, entirely stole the show, including on the disco fries, even the guy who made it said normally it doesn't turn out this good but he had a perfect batch, tre magnifique. My only complaints are the brisket could have used a bit of seasoning, and some salt, and, the grilled cheese part of the sandwich could have used a little bit more butter to knock home that grilled cheese flavor. The disco fries were good, wish there had been a bit more gravy but i found myself just focusing on that brisket, a little more seasoning, add a dash of salt...I think id eat just a tin of brisket, gravy, and cheese. My friend who ordered the Smashed Meatball didn't like it too much, and i can kinda see why, its seasoned like a traditional uh..."Spicy italian meatball", and that seasoning really drowned out everything else in the sandwich, it also wasn't served with marinara as stated, which he had to ask for which was very watery- I didn't mind it so much, but it definitely isn't something his palate would agree with. The onion rings wound up shared, they're pretty decent, not a vendor i'm familiar with, minced-onion, but with less give than other brands, and a much sharper flavor, All in all say cheez is a pretty neat concept, and i really enjoyed my meal, if i had half stars it'd be a firm 3.5, but instead, a generous 4 for now. Cute place to get grilled cheese and sandwiches! The Turkey Reuben was well made and was grilled perfectly. The food should be eaten soon in store or right outside because the bread will get soggy if it's still wrapped in foil. The cheese is so satisfying, but the fries could be better.

I would give Say Cheez more of a 4.5 because service can be slow, but I'm rounding up because the food is so good. There aren't a lot of options in downtown Princeton for greasy, fried food, but you can definitely find it here. They recently changed their menu a bit but the general concept is the same- different variations of grilled cheese. My favorites are the Princeton and the Smashed Mearball. There are options for different fries. I'd say skip the cheez fries; they don't live up to their name. Looking forward to trying other variations though! There is a cooler inside with bottled/canned beverages and a decent amount of seating outside. It's conveniently placed right next to an ice cream shop (Thomas Sweets) so you don't have to go far for dessert! They recently added breakfast to their menu, but I haven't tried it... yet. We will continue to return to Say Cheez!

Grilled cheese brisket sandwich is the way to go at this place! The sandwich had plenty of brisket meat in it and was pretty filling. The restaurant is small and there's not much room to sit, but it's great for take out.

They call themselves Say Cheez and we came for national mac and cheese day yet the mac and cheese was horrible; I could make boxed mac and cheese that tastes better. It seemed to be microwaved and the cheese was cold and coagulated. The cheese sauce was also sour and just sprinkled with some supermarket parmesan cheese. DO NOT come here for mac and cheese. I can usually eat food even if I don't particularly like it but I couldn't even finish this.

I ordered a grilled cheese with Mac and cheese and avocado with French fries. Everything was freshly made and delicious. The avocado was forgotten on my grilled cheese, but it was immediately brought out with an apology. The service here is great and there is water set out for anyone who is eating in. The fries were so fresh and we could hear them being made when we ordered them. Absolutely delicious.

So I parked a little further up Nassau than usual and spotted this place. I remember seeing an ad for it some time ago but never actually made it out to try. Today after I picked up some Lindt goodies for the kids' Easter baskets I stopped on the way back to my car. The place was packed -a good sign. I ordered the Beefy Mac with a side of Tiger fries. Great taste.C3DC Great serving portion. Great value. The brisket and cheese with the mac and cheese on the toast was awesome. I also liked that they use quality brisket. The fries were zesty and the filing sauce really set them off. I'll certainly be back.

Came to Princeton for a tour and ran into the cutest and the warmest burger joint in town. The burger was juicy and served on a Kaiser roll w/ caramelized onions. Delicious! Also the onion ring was to die for! It had a special batter that made it crunchy and brought out the flavor. The ceaser chicken wrap was also very good. It had a nice combination of flavors bursting in your bite. But the best part of this small gem is the owner her self! Trini takes time to talk to her customers and gives her unique visual tour of Princeton. Oh and did I mentioned that there is an original Banksy hanging on the wall behind her? What an amazing place!!!!

Food: I ordered the Tiger fries and Mac and cheese grilled cheese. The Tiger fries were good and the salt was not over bearing. The fries come plain and a sauce comes on the side. The sauce had a kick to it, but it can easily accumulate if you aren't able to tolerate spice. The mac and cheese grilled cheese was really unique. Not too salty. The mac and cheese was creamy and the grilled cheese was made perfectly. It wasn't too dry or burnt. Price: $3.50 for the Tiger fries and $5 for the grilled cheese. Pretty affordable. Service: there's only 1 table inside and 3 open tables outside. The service was fast. Overall, good, affordable place for a snack or small meal. I would go again and try other things.

I have been to this location several times and always had a good grilled cheese sandwich. However today was not the same. I ordered a grilled cheese sandwich with a tomato inside. I repeated myself 3-4 times bc their computer was not working properly so I had to repeat my order 3-4 times. When I went outside to eat I noticed they forgot the tomatoes and the cheese was not even melted. I was very disappointed. I may try this place again but not for awhile

I ordered the Dagwood sandwich and truffle fries. It was delicious! The fries were cooked perfectly and the sandwich was awesome! The associates were very nice and took the time to walk us through fan favorites. Thanks Say Cheez.

My friends and I had lunch here on a Saturday afternoon we got The Farmer, The Princeton, and Jack Daniels Pork BBQ sandwiches and were very satisfied with them. There are some tables outside to eat at, and it didn't seem like a problem with getting one since it's a pretty quick meal to eat. Can't wait to come back to try other signature sandwiches!

Awesome specialty restaurant. I ordered a build my own grilled cheese with Brioche bread, Mozzarella and Muenster cheese, jalapeños, and sun dried tomatoes. There was also a choice of sauce (Ketchup, BBQ, etc.). The selections of bread, cheese, vegetables, and meats were broad and tasteful. The sandwich tasted great and for an affordable price. The fries come with a delicious (and addicting) cheese sauce which has a tangy and smoky flavor to it. The fries were a little dry, but crispy with great seasoning. The service was nice and helpful. They happily answer any questions you may have about the menu. Apart from the build your own grilled cheese, the mac and cheese grilled sandwich caught my eye, and is definitely on my next choice next time I go! If you are in the Princeton area and are craving cheese, I absolutely recommend you visit Say Cheez for a memorable and affordable meal.

Say Cheez is a gem when it comes to restaurants in Princeton. The one dish that would probably do this place just is the Mac & Cheese grilled cheese. The place is inexpensive and very worth since the one bit into the grilled cheese you will fall in love. A common side that I always get with the grilled cheese are the Tiger Fries. The fries seasoned with spices along with the tiger sauce is probably one the best combinations. 10/10 must visit when you come into town it is located behind Thomas Sweets (since it is a little hard to find). ~ Stanley

Tried this place out pretty recently. I have to say that the service is pretty great and the food isn't bad either. The wait time isn't so bad, but I also got there when no one else was being served. Do note that the location doesn't have seating inside (only outside and minimal at that). It is a little pricey at $8-10 a sandwich. Though it isn't as good as Hoagie Haven and it's more expensive, this place does taste slightly more healthy? It's not too greasy and it's delicious. The option to be creative and make your own is pretty awesome too. They don't charge extra for most changes. I got the Dagwood with pepper jack - mm goodness. An extra perk is that they open until 2AM and is a lot closer to campus (and engineers!)

I bought their disco fries, which was a cheap and simplified version of Canadian poutine. However the taste was bland, not authentic. The fries were not fresh and dry. Sauce was bitter and not fresh.

Really great vegan grilled cheese, the tomato dipper was perfect, the vegan cheese was melted too! I just wish there was more seating!

*This is a review of a Say Cheez sober experience.* I can't attest to how good this place is at 2am on a Saturday, but it was delicious for dinner! The Build-your-own is a joy, and the sandwiches really are quite good. Also, the workers were super friendly and totally chill about my picky ordering.

I didn't really care for grilled cheese before I came to this place, but over the 4 years I went to Princeton, this place became one of the most meaningful restaurants in the area for me. It's a little cozy place on the side of the mini-plaza that Thomas Sweets is on, next to the (now old) Lewis Center for the Arts (called 185 now?). Everything is made to order, so there's a bit of a wait, but it's well worth the wait. I've had most of their grilled cheeses, and while I wouldn't get some of them again, I wouldn't consider anything to be below "decent." Some of the great ones for me are the Sloppy Taco, Westminster, and Dagwood. The Smashed Meatball and Princeton are alright. Making your own seems like a decent deal, and I've had some success with that as well. The Buffalo Wings are also solid... they're a bit small, but you can't expect much more for the price (8 for $7.50). One menu item I think is super underrated is the Tiger Fries. There's nothing super special about the fries themselves, but the sauce is really unique. It's an interesting combination of spice and mayonnaise? If you like spicy, I'd highly recommend you give it a shot. The staff is really friendly, and it seems like a small operation altogether (though someone it feels like someone different takes my order literally every time I go), but I do feel like this is the kind of place you could really have a relationship with. One word of warning is that their hours, especially around closing, seem to be super inconsistent at times, as I've definitely gone at night when I expect them to be open, and they're just gone. Shouldn't be a problem normal lunch/dinner, but just some advice for night owls who like late night food.
