If you observe religious diets or are keen on buying organic, middle eastern and north African food items, I recommend this shop for you. It's located in Revere and accessible via the blue line conveniently. Their prices are decent. I'd buy my beef there any time anyway as the value you get for your money is great in quantity and quality.

My visit on 12/6/2024 was disappointing. There were five workers in the butcher section, and not one of them acknowledged my presence. They made eye contact with me but seemed to roll their eyes, and no one offered assistance. After waiting for a while, I decided to leave. If you're looking for Halal meats, I would recommend taking your business elsewhere. Edit: after reading other reviews, I found that I'm not the only one who has experienced this issue. I suggest checking them out before deciding whether to visit.

Google

Google
The worst service in the meat department. No sense of urgency, expect to wait 35-45 min + even if you’re second or third in line. On different occasions Iv come here everytime worse then the next. They trim meat for trays instead of helping you and even see that you wait long yet don’t care. I waited 45 min behind one other customer to be told they don’t even have chicken breast. Seriously you don’t have chicken breast as a butcher? Never again this place

The company is well-known Algerian, and the sticker that appears on the cover says “Made in Algeria,” and when you remove the sticker, it says “Made in Morocco,” and the bar is an Emirati code, and the quality of the product is not the same as that in its country of origin, Algeria. What is this ? Please respect customers. Please investigate

These sweets are expired, they refused to exchange them or give me my money back...this is the third time they have done this, it was highly unprofessional.

Yelp
Great place and very clean too many good variety people working over there. They are very nice.

Yelp
Very friendly, reasonably priced, and good selection. I needed green cardamom pods for a recipe and couldn't find them anywhere until I thought to come here. Sure enough, they had a whole wall of spices (including the cardamom!). Checkout was quick and easy. Plus, they have parking right out front!

Yelp
The store has been freshly remodeled, updated and reorganized a bit. They have added to the frozen foods section, and the selection of fruits and vegetables has been expanded. They have added a variety of more items on the shelves, and the quality of goods continues to be a priority. I would recommend this market for all of your Middle Eastern and Halal food needs. The staff is always kind and helpful, and checkout is usually swift and pleasant. I travel over 45 minutes to visit this location, and I'm even more excited to make the trip given the improvements. A wonderful experience each time!

Yelp
This is a message to the manager or owner. Please if we ask for three pounds of meat don't put five or six on the scale and ask us if it's ok. please if you can't sell less than five pounds put a sign. instead of embarrassing your customers. This happens to me every time I go there and when I refuse to get extra they get upset! You guys started very well. keep it well don't become greedy and learn from the halal stores that didn't survive due to greed.

Yelp
I went today to buy some meat. I was waiting for exactly 10 minutes and three employees were "like" busy and no one of them asked me if wanted something!!!! the same thing happened with my wife two weeks ago! It looks like the store manager need to give his employees some customer services training! IN AMERICA THE CUSTOMER IS THE KING! we know in some cultures the BOSS IS THE KING!!! One more thing, when my wife asked for one pound of leaver, after waiting 7 minutes, and the employees were "busy" without customer in store, the butcher was laughing on her!!! he said with a nasty look... "we don't sell one pound! is too many!!! Me and my wife we felt UNWELCOMING, we will try one more time than we will see if this is there culture with customer or was just a bad day for all store employees!

Abeer R.

Yelp
Prices are way higher than other middle eastern markets. The cashier ( young lady) was rude and disrespectful.

Laura B.

Yelp
I went to the store to buy some meat however the butchers seemed more concerned about there personal lives then me as a customer. The place was a mess and seemed really dirty. The store was extremely crowded to the point where I struggled to get threw some areas of the store. I waited 25 minutes to even get my meat. When I went to pay the two ladies at the checkout counter were extremely rude and unhelpful and made me feel so unwelcome. When I paid I had to ask twice for a receipt. I would not recommend anyone shop here and I will not be returning.

Jaclyn H.

Yelp
I disagree with some reviewers- I've never felt unwelcome there and the workers are normally very friendly. A lot of them speak Spanish as well. The ladies who ring you up at the end seem more distracted than rude. I liked how clean the store was and noticed the clean smell. They have a good array of different products. I wish they put the prices on every product to make it easier as a shopper. I would only go for frozen or shelf-stable products. The first time I went, the baklava were amazing!! However, the second time I bought them, the baklava were old, soggy, and tasted like the cleaner they were using on the floor when I walked into the store! Such a waste of money. I'm guessing the baked goods aren't sealed away enough or that they place them in the display case after wiping it down with those chemicals. Very disappointing. I am going to try out other markets in the area like Baba Supermarket before I go back to Sayar again.

Noga M.

Yelp
The customer service in this market is the worst thing I've ever ever ever experienced in my life. Omg, the female employees were rude and they treat you like garbage that if you have a question and ask them about something they give you an attitude as if you do not suppose to ask. Also, the price is suspicious, every time I have my receipt I get shocked by surprise because the stuff I bought is way too expensive than they supposed to cost.

Vezna S.

Yelp
So the last time I came here I was met with this feeling that I was unwanted.. I wasn't really sure if I was reading too much into it or maybe they were having a bad day but this trip confirmed it for me. The lady at the counter ignored me then after realizing I wasn't leaving she decided to ring me up. I could very well feel the daggers she was staring at me with. She pretty much threw the change back at me. People if you're not of middle eastern descent stay away. You are not welcome here. They've made it blatantly clear to me now on two separate occasions now.

Anita S.

Yelp
Love coming here Fatima and Asia my favorite cashiers great amazing costumer service very professional and friendly thank u

Bettie L.

Yelp
Great store but why must the women here be so cold and unfriendly? I went a few days ago for my second time just to make sure I wasn't imagining it and the guys are okay, but the women who do the checkout are so cold that they can easily be mistaken for rude, it doesn't hurt or cost anything to be nice to your customers, please consider it.

Fadwa E.

Yelp
First of all I disagree with the person who said he feels not welcome . I guess he was just super sensitive & got that impression cuz seriously I've never felt it . I come to the store to shop and not to socialize with workers lol . I see that each person there is doing its best to serve everybody since it's always super busy . This store is one of the best ethnic stores in the area & what I like about it is the wide variety of imported goods that I can't find it anywhere else . One place has it all .

Tremyne B.

Yelp
I m a regular customer of your store ( revere beach ) But that girl with the glasses who works evenings she s very rude with the customers ) . She needs to be stopped or the business will lose lot of customers because of her .

Mikey R.

Yelp
I was staying at a hotel nearby and I decided to go for a walk to check out the neighborhood when I came across this place. They serve freshly made sandwiches with a ton of topping options for a very reasonable price. They also have a meat market along with fresh Middle Eastern pastries. My sandwich was amazing, I can't wait to come back. I have no idea how subway competes with these guys right next-door.

Michelle M.

Yelp
I have seen mixed reviews of Sayar Market, I myself find it to be a very clean and welcoming store, As you travel down the iles of the store, You find many different types of fruits vegetables and other great items. They have fresh olives fresh vegetables breads pastries dried fruits different types of cheeses snacks dates you name it they have it not to mention there fantastic Halal butcher shop and their hot sandwiches and salads I have been a customer of Sayar for over 4 years. I am american, I make this reference because some of the other reviews I have read said to stay away from the store if your american, I was sadden by that comment I have never felt that way I have always been welcomed in this store and I encourage anyone that would like to taste and sample great Arab halal food sayar is the place to shop.

Dan G.

Yelp
I love Arab markets and this one is pretty new. I finally got a chance to stop in and I liked what I saw. The store is full of all kinds of middle eastern canned goods, jams, chocolates, dates, cheeses, breads, hookahs and some religious items as well. The owner of the store greeted me and told me that they can cook anything you want, just call them up and let them know what you want. The meat case looked so fresh and nice. I bought some sausage which I haven't tried yet, but they smell amazing. I ended up buying some spices for Kabsa and a couple kinds of canned beans. I can't wait to get back here!

Mohsen H.

Yelp
If you are looking for middle eastern stuff, I recommend this store to you. it's a nice and tidy market with a good selection of all kinds of goods.

AirMaroc N.

Yelp
My brother went to this sad excuse for a store recently to buy meat, which was of very low quality. My brother complained about the horrible meat that they gave him, and the meat department manager yelled at him for complaining in front of customers. To buy anything of STANDARD quality at this store, you have to know the people who work there and own it. It is ridiculous how all customers are not treated the same. Anybody who has trouble and finds they are sold bad meat, is supposed to report it to the Health Department and the OSHA Department to verify the quality of the meat and the safety of the store and kitchen where they prepare food.

Sashi L.

Yelp
I went into the store to buy groceries to be greeted by rude employees and a dirty environment. I was very unhappy with my experience here and will never shop here ever again. Overall, the meat is bad, the place is dirty, and the employees are rude and ignore customers.

O.H. D.

Yelp
This place said they would give me my meat at 1 which I reserved a couple months ago and right now it is 4 and I still don't have my meat so disappointed never coming here again

Zak V.

Yelp
I have a bad experience on rude customer service five months ago I go there today find same people with there bad attitude of customer service so nothing is change so fare you have to check your respite when they charge you they over charging people illegally

Nisrine H.

Yelp
Salamalikom to you all, I have been twice to the store. Everything was great apart from the lady in the front desk. She seems unhappy and unpleasant. However, I tried to be friendly but she was giving me evil looks. Please, we need to portray good image to all the customers, and try to empathize and sympathize with people who go there to do their shopping.

Rawan A.

Yelp
This place is decent and by far the cleanest in Revere, the butcher Hassan is really nice and always knows what I want and works hard to prepare my order.. The girls at the cashier are really friendly.. If you are middle eastern you would appreciate this store.. Also I found some hooka flavors I couldn't find else where! Hint: mint gum ;)

Anass L.

Yelp
Al Hamdoulilah because we have "Sayar Market" such an amazing Halal Food Market in Revere, I can find all the stuff I need to cook a moroccan delicious meal, many kinds of moroccan spicy, many kinds of Halal meat, delicious cakes, veggies, fruits, and many arab's stuff of food culture, I can tell it's the best Halal Market around Boston. The crew is friendly and helpful. I'm Moroccan and proud of it.
