A quick, convenient, and authentic Venezuelan restaurant with dark chocolate. What's not to love? The appetizers were a great start, then the meat was flavorful/well spiced, and the dessert was heavenly. We had the flan, brownie, and drinking chocolates. Seriously, make sure you get something from each part of the menu. We will be ordering again and again.

Roberto and Judy make food with soul. Judy's Venezuelan food is straight up, authentic -- the best beans and rice, plenty of options for gluten free and vegan diets. I love the tostones and eggplant arepa! Everything is handmade. And you can't find anything like Roberto's chocolate. He sources cacao beans and works with them all by hand -- no added emulsifiers and just enough sweetener to support the cacao itself. His creations are potent, invigorating, and healthy! Don't go here expecting fancy truffles with gold leaf - but do go if you're curious and appreciative of chocolate makers who respect the cacao's origins and essential life force.

Excellent place to get authentic Venezuelan food! I wrote a critique ages ago when I was still in journalism school and they were the first and only Venezuelan restaurant in the city. It’s so homemade and authentic that’s like an abuela just made a meal for you. And don’t even get me started a lot Robert’s chocolate!!! 🤤 It’s the only place I know I’m the city that serves true hot chocolate, truffles, bars. Plus wait until summer! They have popsicles made with fresh fruit! I can go on for a while about them… do try it, you won’t regret it!

This is our favorite restaurant! We drive over an hour to get take out from Sazon 2 Go, and it’s well worth it. You can’t go wrong when ordering- everything is delicious, fresh and flavorful. I highly recommend the tequenos and tostones to start and then the empanadas and arepas round out a wonderful meal. Don’t forget to get dessert - the drinking chocolates are the best chocolate you will ever taste.

I love the vegan options that they offer. It’s so great to be able to experience authentic Latin food as a vegan it’s something I that I constantly crave and Sazón hits the spot. My go to is the Yuca Frita and the Tofu Pepiada with no mayo, sooo good. And the vegan hot chocolates are so rich and pure, perfect for dark chocolate connoisseur.

Absolutely amazing Venezuelan food and you must try their authentic home made chocolate. You can taste the love in their plates and every bite takes Me back to South America.

Yelp
Delicious Empanadas and Venezuelan/Puerto Rican?? Specialties at the Media Farmer's Market (10 - 1 every Sunday from April to November and 10 - 2 every 2nd and 4th Sunday in winter) Everything is house made and delicious. Vegetarian options, too. They had a restaurant in Philly but I think it's not there any more.
