Friends and I decided to try this place for lunch. There is limited parking so if this place is busy, I think you'll have to park on the street. At lunch, it wasn't busy. This is not a fancy place but it works. Interestingly, there's a small deli counter inside.
There were 5 of us on our visit. I'm not sure but believe the owner was our server. Most of us had never had Peruvian food before including myself. He made some suggestions, but I think everyone had already settled on a choice. When I ordered the Pescado con Alcaparras (fish with asparagus), the server said "that's a good one." Others tried various entrees. Turned out, it was over the top good...and I don't say that very often. This entrees comes a delicious sauce that I spooned over everything. The fish (pan fried talapia) was full of flavor and so was the asparagus. There's also some potato slices and white rice. Top with that delicious sauce, these too were outstanding!
Now this is definitely a pricey place...even for lunch. We asked for separate checks which the owner had no problem doing. Everyone's check had an automatic 20% tip added...for a party of five! Huh? One of my friends got a burger and Peruvian soda (suggested by the owner)...$12...wow! Out the door for a burger, fries, soda, and 20% tip...$47! My order with a Peruvian beer & 20% tip was $41. Food-wise...awesome! Price-wise, a little bit too unreasonable considering the 20% automatic tip.
Best option, visit in groups 4 or less and just have water! Out the door, your check will be more than appropriate! If I eat here again, it's entree and water only for me!
