Got two specials and they were delicious! The calamari on top of the ceviche was something I had next seen before! The winner to the meal was definitely the shrimp and the sauce was so delicious that I wish there was more bread! The staff were welcoming and helpful. Glad we tried it out!

Google
My mother and I visited and had such a good experience. The service was great and the food was even better. We shared the Mixto ceviche and it was amazing. The seasoning and flavors were so complex yet refreshing and just the right amount of spiciness. I then had the chiopino and my mother had the pollo a la brassa. The seafood in the chiopino was a great variety, cooked well, and plenty in serving. The chicken was cooked perfectly for my mother. I recommend stopping by when in the area, it is so worth it

We are truck drivers from Texas and was recommended by Skikos company beside the restaurant that we are picking up our load from. Jose is so friendly and amazing in describing each dish. The deli staff are super friendly also. Our first time here and 5 minutes after seated the lights went out and Jose said not to worry because they have gas stoves. The food blew us away! Look what they can do with NO LIGHTS AND GAS

Good food and fresh seafood. Order papa rellena, mango ceviche (more on the sour side) and cioppino (broth is delicious) with soft bread. Would recommend.

Google
Great Peruvian restaurant that makes well prepared delicious and fresh food. Staff was very friendly, constantly checking to make sure everything was good. We had lunch, but they also have a deli that serves sandwiches, salads

Google
This is one of THE BEST RESTAURANTS in town, hands down, and personally on my top five list! I love sauces, and Sazón shows mad love to sauce-loving enthusiasts like myself with EVERY DISH... My favs / recommendations: the taqueños (do NOT skip these!), the empanadas, the calamari, the chicken wings, the fish tacos, and, OMG, do NOT miss the sangria--red OR white--they are BOTH OUTSTANDING! The half chicken entree is delicious and is enough to share with another person. Their soups and chowders are always on point. And their incredible dishes are made with fresh, local ingredients. For Thanksgiving a couple years ago, we actually got 2-3 orders of several different dishes from Sazón and served them up [at home] tapas-style... There were only 6 of us that year, but everyone absolutely L❤️VED the food, all of us were stuffed to the max, and somehow there were even some leftovers, in true Thanksgiving day fashion! I've dined here more than half a dozen times, and every time has been an amazing meal and a fantastic dining experience!!! 🥰🤯🤤😁🔥❤️

Google
BEST CEVICHE IN SANTA ROSA!! -This is not joke! This is a frequent stop for us. Sazón has beautifully unique Pervuian flavors and super creative dishes. Everything on the menu is a 10. Sazón's menu has something for everyone, but the Ceviche is certainly worth a try.

Google
I almost want to give this no stars just to keep you away. But that would be a lie. The food here is amazing. I had things I've never had before, and that just doesn't happen to me much anymore. And it was all excellent. Friendly service, great plating, gracious host, good & reasonable wine list. It's slow. But relax, you're supposed to be enjoying yourself.

Yelp
This Peruvian restaurant blew me away! Every dish was packed with rich, authentic flavor. The staff was warm, attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. A hidden gem I'll definitely return to, highly recommend! Weird parking though lol

Yelp
As you can see from our picture, I had no time to document and only had time to devour. I have been looking for an authentic Peruvian food place for the longest time! I live in Marin county and we only have a place called ayawaska but it was never one of my favorites ( and overpriced) especially knowing how amazing Peruvian cuisine is. My Dad recommended this place to me ( he is Peruvian) so I had high hopes. As we walked in we were greeted very nicely by our server and by a small cute black cat. We got sat very quickly and our server was polite and efficient. The food was exactly what I was looking for ! It's the most Authentic I've had so far. I had the Lomo Saltado, the portion was perfect and the flavor was as well, I asked for a side of hot salsa and it was definitely spicy to my liking! My partner had the ceviche, he is typically very picky but he absolutely loved the ceviche! The other person we were with had wings and they also said those were good! We will be making this a mandatory stop from now on and I can't wait to come back! ( please note that in Peru animals such as cats are everywhere so if you have a problem with this maybe don't come here. This is truly Authentic!)

Yelp
All of the food is exceptionally tasty and service is wonderful. Ceviche is very tasty and definitely on the super citrusy side. It's pucker worthy. It would be nice if they had some thing a little bit more subtle for some variance. That being said, I've never had anything here that I don't like.

Yelp
We stumbled in this Peruvian restaurant instead, thinking of was the Michoacán food place. After hesitation, we decided to give it a try. Food was ok, prices were high, but what made it worse, were the animal roaming around the dining area and the serves caring them while working... To top it off, the server would disappear constantly and had to get up to look for someone to help us. First and last time. Do not recommend.

Yelp
My friend and I had the Ahi De Gallina, Ceviche Mixto, Chicken and Veggie Empanadas, and Plantain Chips, and it was all excellent! Our servers were so nice and it was neat to have the owner's cat and dog. there! It is a bit pricey but definitely special and worth it for a special occasion!

Yelp
Delicious lunch at Sazón today! We split the ahi tuna appetizer and the burger. Both dishes had great flavor and we enjoyed top tier service. I loved sitting outside in the sun as well.

Yelp
So many positive reviews I can't add too much more. The food is always great , priced on the high side of moderate. The house made sangria adds a nice, family-owned touch. Take advantage of the very casual vibe ... no reason to change out of your shorts and flip-flops. The Trio Marino is a good sampler of their offerings as it includes ceviche. The location is in Santa Rosa's vibrant Roseland area so lots of other great Hispanic offerings nearby. Enjoy what this neighborhood has to offer...How about Sazon for Peruvian dinner and swing by Frozen Art for Michoacan ice cream for dessert.

Yelp
I've been so excited to try this restaurant after hearing raving reviews from my boyfriend and his dad. My boyfriend and I ate an early lunch here yesterday after a hike in the area. We were greeted and seated immediately. There was a party of 6 who came right before we did and there was one server so service was fairly slow. It took about 10-15 minutes before we got our complimentary water and orders in. We didn't mind the wait for our food as with all good things -- it's worth a wait. We were a bit disappointed that all of our food came out at the same time as we were waiting for the appetizer for us to start with. What we ordered: Empanadas (appetizer): We ordered all 4 of the empanadas they offer. It comes with a delicious sauce (salsa criolla, olive, and huacatay) and pickled onions. Such a fan!!! 10/10 Arroz con Mariscos (main course): Great to share for 2! Seafood was delicious and fresh. The rice is cooked perfectly (you'd be surprised how many restaurants can get this part wrong). Definitely order this one. 10/10 Platanos Maduros (side): We were both disappointed as the plantains were not ripe enough so it was difficult to eat. The flavor was there but it was a tough eat. 4/10 Cancha: SO delicious. I am now on the lookout to find these locally. 10/10 Sazon Cooler: A refreshing guava lemonade. 10/10 Overall, I'll definitely be back. There were some minor hiccups but this place has a wonderful ambiance and DELICIOUS food. Try this place out if you're in the area!

Yelp
Sazón is easily one of my favorite restaurants in Santa Rosa and definitely one of my favorite Peruvian restaurants, ever. Case and point: a few months ago, we went to a very beautiful Peruvian restaurant in New York City - it was double the price and the food was good but my partner and I agreed that the quality, flavor, and overall preparation of the dishes still did not compare to Sazón. This restaurant has an understated interior with an incredible friendly staff including the owner Jose, who checks in regularly and, at a recent visit, ensured that we got to our movie on time. This is one of our favorite restaurants in Santa Rosa for a date night or celebration and we look forward to going back soon!

Yelp
Foods are delicious. The service and staff are polite, knowledgeable and friendly. Everything is very tasty. Peruvian cuisine. The ceviche is amazing! There's a little black kitty that frequents. The ambiance is delightful.

Yelp
This is totally a cool place for Peruvian food. Family owned and run business with great food and great service.

Yelp
It was a bit warm when we entered inside. There were a bunch of ceiling fans running, so I guess no AC. There are quite a few tables, as it's also attached to their deli. The mango ceviche was recommended by the waiter. The shrimp were quite firm, but I liked the plantain chips. The beef heart skewers were good and I liked trying the different sauces that came with it. The ahi tuna salad (Ensalada Nikei) isn't really Peruvian, but I enjoyed it. It was light and tasty. While we were eating, we spotted a black cat. It was roaming around the restaurant. My bf petted it and I saw another customer hold it. I'm not sure how I feel about it being at the restaurant. The main reason why I chose this restaurant is because I saw this place had solid reviews and I had a gift card. I was a bit annoyed when the waiter returned with the gift card and stated the machine wasn't working, so he couldn't run the card. I guess I'll have to try to use the card another day.

Yelp
Wonderful restaurant, excellent food and great service. Best French Fries ever! The ambience was casual, with off street parking as well.

Yelp
After several people recommended this place, we decided to stop in for lunch on a Sunday afternoon. Peruvian food is somewhat of a mystery to us but we knew we could get some help from our server. When we entered the restaurant doors, I noticed a few tables and the kitchen. I walked over to the doorway to the right and noticed a very large dining area. This is where we were seated. There is a deli there that serves sandwiches and other lunch items. It took us a little while to read through their menus and we asked for recommendations from our server. We finally decided on the following off of their Clasicos menu: Pollo a la Brasa - slow roasted Rocky chicken with salad and fries Adobo de Chancho - braised pork with Peruvian beans and rice Bistec a lo Pobre - grilled steak with chimichurri sauce, fries, sweet plantains, egg and rice There was a large table that was seated before us and so it took some time for our food to arrive. We were all quite hungry by the time our food was served and we were anxious to take a bite of each other's dishes. The clear favorite was the Bistec. The chimichurri sauce complemented the steak beautifully and my bite was bursting with flavor. It's a winner! We had a leisurely lunch and didn't feel rushed at all. Parking lots available in the front, back and side of the restaurant.

Yelp
Returned from visiting Peru and was so excited to find Sazon!! Such amazing and delicious authentic Peruvian food!! Everything we have ordered (been back three times) has been fresh, delicious, and served with smiles.

Yelp
My first impression : we parking in the side of the restaurant. There is a beautiful mural of lama on the wall. We wait a few minutes for seating as lot of people in house before us. It is Mother's Day 5/11/24. So happy that I chose Saxon to celebrate tonight. Enjoy every bite of it. Started with Empanadas, crispy shell dipping with green sauce and red onion pickle. Yum My dish was Arroz con Mariscos : Peruvian version of paella creamy yellow rice with flavorful seafood Also, we had Sangria Roja, easy to drink. Close up with Flan and Lucuma ice cream This experience made my mother's memorable

Yelp
Had a fabulous dinner here last night and although I didn't take pictures I can confirm that everything was fantastic. Jose walked us through the menu explaining everything in detail and gave many recommendations. Our group had the following: Empanada's-we tried one of each and shared. All were light and crispy filled with fillings that were super tasty. Beef skewers (beef heart)-now I was a little scared to try it but made myself and it literally tasted like a filet. Definitely was tasty (if u wasn't to eat hearts) Pesto chicken fettuccini-probably my favorite of the meal. Very creamy and flavorable Mariscos paella- this was a different spin on paella where the rice isn't actually mixed in but more like a cioppino. Super delish. Rice was light and airy. Roasted chicken-I didn't try this but was told it was really good and I did try the salad that came with it and the dressing was something special. I just can't figure out what ingredient was used to make it so delicious. Tenderloin- another excellent meal! Comes with rice AND fries. We also ordered the mango ceviche which had whole prawns marinated in a mango sauce that had perfect amount of kick to it without being too spicy. I want to try the rest of their choices now. And lastly we had several desserts and all were really good!!

Yelp
Went in for lunch, as I walk in, hostess is holding a cat! She then sets it down and grabs menus to take us to our table. Asks if we're ok with the cat as the cat jumps on my lap and walks across my legs to the bench next to me. NO! I am not ok with the cat! I came in for lunch not to have a cat roam freely across the chairs, (possibly tables) and customers body!!! How do I know the tables are clean? silverware is clean after seeing this?! I don't even know that the hostess washed her hands before bringing our drinks and food. ( I should have left, but my car was being worked on and I had to wait) On top of that, the beef empanadas were horrible! super dry and not tasty. I've had these plenty of times at other restaurants and they are delicious, but not here. The most disturbing part was the cat. My co-worker is allergic to them and his allergies fully kicked in. We will never go back!!! If you want good Peruvian food, just go to Warike on 4th or Ayawaska in Petaluma. They will have a clean restaurant, with no pets being handled. Stay away from Sazon! I wonder what the health department would say if they knew the cat is roaming freely at the restaurant and Deli...

Yelp
Peruvian food done right! Love the fresh light ceviche on a hot day and the pork stew white beans and rice in the winter! By the way the empanadas are a must.

Yelp
The food here was so good! It was a nice re-introduction to eating meat. I am Latine and it's been a while since I had food this tasty! I ordered the bistec a lo pobre and it was pretty darn good. There was chimichurri all over it, it was cooked to my liking (medium) and came with yummy white rice (latine style), a fried egg, and fries. The steak itself was a weird piece of meat, there was so much fat and tendons that it was difficult to eat, but I ate it all because it was delicious. I wonder if the cut has to do with the title ( a la pobre = in the style of poor people). I also tried a pisco sour for the first time. I had the maracuya flavor and it was so good, that I had to order two. My friends also enjoyed their food. I think they got the tiradito (ceviche), vegetable saltados, and platanis machos. Everyone was happy with their food. The service was very kind, helpful, and fast enough. The ambience was quiet and casual. There was a super cute and friendly black cat roaming the restaurant. This cat was mentioned in previous Yelp reviews, so I have to assume that they belong to the restuarant. I am a cat person, so I didn't mind but if you are allergic, you should take note.

Yelp
We came by for lunch and everything we ordered was delicious. Service was quick and the servers were kind. We ordered the Lomo Saltado and the Tallerin Saltado, both dishes were well seasoned and well cooked. We also ordered empanadas and they were light and fluffy, different from Columbian empanadas. They also have a deli attached with the restaurant for to-go orders Definitely one of the best Peruvian spots in the Bay Area. .
google avatar

Jason K.

Yelp
Absolutely amazing food, came here with a friend and had the PESCADO A LO MACHO. Every bite was as good as the last. It was absolutely delicious. The place is very clean and the staff was very friendly. I am looking forward to trying other dishes on the menu. This place just may be my new favorite place to eat!
google avatar

Alison M.

Yelp
Perfect spot for date night or to catch up with a friend! The mango ceviche was delightful, although it had more of a kick than I was expecting. I also had the sangria blanco which is a summer staple. My friend had the pescado con alcaparras (tilapia filet with Pinot Grigio sauce over asparagus and potatoes). Delicious, perfectly cooked and none left to take home. A clean restaurant environment also attached to a deli that I would like to try soon. Service was fast and I wouldn't hesitate to come back to try more Peruvian delights.

Yelp
I tried this restaurant based on the yelp reviews. I wanted someplace that served some good ceviche. The good: Service was great. We were seated promptly and our sever got us some water which was greatly appreciated on a hot day. The rest of the drinks and food came out fast which I appreciated. We asked for some recommendations and we ended up getting several dishes: Ensalada Nikel, Choritos a la Chalaca, Ceviche mixto, plantains both chip and sweet. To drink, we both got the Saźon Cooler which is really tasty. The salad, choritos and ceviche were excellent. Really enjoyed the dishes. Pricing was good especially given the portions. The bad: The plantain chips tasted off. They tasted old and burnt. While I enjoyed the salad, it was overdressed which was ok because the tuna and the avocado were the stars of the plate. The ugly: There was a fricking cat inside the restaurant that was roaming around. That is not ok. We asked our server and he mentioned that it was the owner's and it usually hung out on the kitchen. As soon as we saw it, we asked for our check and won't be going back again. The place could be a bit cleaner and during the hot days they could either turn on a the a/c a bit or have more fans. A great meal turned sour due to the feline.

Yelp
Food is simple and delicious!! Service was very nice too Definitely coming back. The place is more simple, but clean
google avatar

Yelp
Went there last night for the first time in years. They've expanded the dining room by five fold. Food was still great value and five stars.

Judy A.

Yelp
I had lunch here today and it hit the mark. Had the Pan con Lomito sandwich and cleaned my entire plate. The owner is always friendly and remembers me from my other visits, which is nice to be recognized as a returning patron. I'll be back for sure.
google avatar

Ethan V.

Yelp
The service and family friendly attitude of everyone who works here is what makes it a gem. Food ranges from aight to good to great. Mango ceviche had a mango puree salsa that went well with everything, shrimp was not tender. Potato Relleno was ok but the Chicken Aji is something to try as well as the Steak Lomo Saltado.
google avatar

Yelp
We were looking for lunch on our way back from Russian River to San Francisco. Found this place on Yelp. What a gem! We came on a Sunday. They were friendly and seated us quickly. It's a spacious interior-- clean and open. We ordered: * verde ceviche: so fresh, lime-y and very satisfying with a mix of scallop, tilapia and two pieces of mussels. The mussels were so good -- I saw someone having a place of mussels with tomato-salsa on top. I want to try that next time! * corn dog with fries for my daughter: very generous portions! * empanadas: you can mix -- the chicken was very juicy. The pork was also good, but not as much as the chicken * there was a special halibut with tomato cream sauce that was REALLY good. The fish was grilled well and the creamy tomato sauce was just so flavorful! These guys have fresh ingredients and know how to prepare delicious food. We'd definitely come back. I feel like the ambience may not be as fancy, but the food here is better than any Peruvian restaurant (and half of most restaurants) we've been to in SF!

Leland D.

Yelp
Excellent food. Be sure to order seveche. You can get a tasting dish with 3 different types. All very fresh.

Yelp
Mmm! So glad we decided to stop here for a quick bite before heading home to San Jose. Everything we ordered was delicious! I can see why there are so many positive reviews about the place. My husband and I ordered the following to share. CEVICHE MIXTO: Fresh and large portion. It was the right amount of citrus so you can still taste the seafood. LOMO SALTADO: This is a must order dish whenever we eat at any Peruvian restaurant. The meat was tender, well seasoned and we loved the avocado cream sauce that was served on the side. CREAMY SEAFOOD PAELLA: This dish was loaded with seafood and the creamy sauce was delicious. I am so glad I went with the server recommendation. Portions were big so we ended up taking half of it home. Overall, we loved the food and appreciated the attentive service. I would highly recommend this restaurant if you are in the mood for tasty Peruvian food.

Yelp
This is our 3rd time here and the previous times I really enjoyed eating here. This time around, the service wasn't as good and I will venture to say it was probably due to an event that was going on in the back where a DJ from SF was playing. Sangria is good, but we actually got inca cola to make it taste better to our liking. Forgot the name of the ceviche that was one of the items on the specials menu but this one that came in the glass cup was sooooooo good. Very sour but that's how I like my ceviche. The other dishes that were really good were the rice with seafood and the pasta with beef. Can't remember the names and only have the photos of it. Peruvian food is one of my favorite cuisine to eat and overall, the restaurant's food is pretty solid, which is why we kept going back every time we're around the area. Taking the one star down because our server never came around to refill our waters, which could've been due to them being short staff or being preoccupied with the event going in the back patio area.

Yelp
We don't go up to Santa Rosa often, but when we do, we like to try new restaurants. Sazón was that for us on this day trip. We've heard great things about this place and have always wanted to try it, and this was finally our chance. I will say that it definitely met our expectations and everything that we ordered was delicious. We started with the halibut sashimi style ceviche, yucca fries and the fried seafood. We then ordered both the lomo saltado and the tallarin saltado along with the pollo a la brasa. It was the perfect amount of food for 4 adults and 2 kids. Everything was so flavorful and better than expected. The Tallarin was a surprise and we would definitely order that again. This place hits the mark and exactly the type of family run restaurant I like to support!

Yelp
This was my first time here. Service was great. Her name was Luisa, she was very sweet and attentive. I had a lot of questions and she knew how to answer them with detail. Ambience was peaceful. And food (for me) was OK. For appetizers we had empanadas (one of each) and they were a delicious 10/10. Other appetizer was a "papa a la huancaina" and that was a solid 3/10 (very plain tasting). For food, I had the "ceviche mixto" 1/10 and it was just TOO raw tasting for me. Too limey. And I did not get a picture of it. My drink was great. I had a passion iced fruit tea.

Yvette M.

Yelp
The food is very delicious. When we first arrived we were greeted and taken to our table quickly but when it came to placing the order for food it took them more than 25 minutes. There were only 4 other tables seated and none of them were large groups. Once we were seated we couldn't place an order because we weren't even acknowledged but the tables on both sides were getting their food and drinks order. Friendly staff but lack of awareness to some customers.

Lola C.

Yelp
Came here for dinner. We were served by a lovely young man and all was going well until a guy ( who we guessed was the owner) joined the table next to us and was talking too loudly mostly about his drug use. The craziest part was when he said he'd get desert for the table on him and he summoned our lovely server in the rudest manner, and shouted at him while asking him to hurry. The group he was ordering desert for was clearly uncomfortable and so we're we on the next table. One of the ladies told the owner that he didn't have to order the server in that manner as he was clearly doing his best and this absolute a**h*** said "if you don't shout at them, they will never get the job done". Such a douche! Definitely never going back!!!!

Yelp
Had dinner on a Friday night. I did make reservations just be sure as we had 5 in our group, but there was plenty of seating for smaller groups when we arrived. We started with Empanadas and a shrimp appetizer, both were wonderful and enough for us to share. Followed up with the Wagyu burger, Pollo a la Brasa, Ensalada de Camarones, Pescado a la Choriana, A lo Macho pacific cod and a side of garlic bread. Oh what a great meal for all of us. Everyone pretty much wiped their plates clean! Service was perfect, with our waitress and another server checking on us and our drinks throughout the meal. Prices are a bit more than we expected, but was well worth it. We all said we would return for another occasion.

Yelp
Friendly staff gave us a warm welcome, even though we were more than 15 minutes late for our reservation. Downtown Santa Rosa traffic can be tricky so allow enough time to get to Sazon. The waitress patiently answered our many questions about the menu. This is a menu with a lot of items! I ordered the Aji de Galina which is a stew of shredded chicken in an Aji Amarillo sauce with veggies, potatoes and walnuts. It was delicious and VERY filling! I, Corba, am a very big man, but could not finish the portion. My Better Half had the Arroz con Pollo, but substituted the fries with Tacu Tacu. She let me sample hers and both items were also delicious. Sazon is on the main drag in Santa Rosa but once you're inside you wouldn't know it. It is relatively free of traffic noise. There is a popular deli adjoining the restaurant area which we can't wait to try out for a picnic. The wait staff were great--friendly and helpful. We can't wait to go back!

Pedro R.

Yelp
Great food and great customer service I recommend if you love good people and food . Thank you Sazon

Yelp
Was searching for a lunch after visiting a lavender farm with a friend and saw this popped up as a top reviewed spot in Santa Rosa. We asked for some recommendations as we were both a little overwhelmed with their extensive menu and list of specials and plus we were quite hungry! The manager (?) advised any of the ceviches and the paella and so we opted both with their fresh seafood. We were not at all disappointed and agreed that they were paired perfectly as the ceviche also helped cut the creamy taste of the paella. We would come back in a heartbeat if they were closer to the city but would totally recommend to anyone in the area for lunch or dinner. Their outdoor patio is also a plus on the sunny days, although they do have a great amount of seating inside near their deli.

Yelp
The food is amazing the customer service is amazing it's worth it!! This place is definitely a hidden gem. If you haven't been come! This are my two favorites

Sabrina K.

Yelp
It's everything you all said it would be. The empanadas were definitely a favorite; raves for the lomo saltado (perfectly spiced and cooked steak, very tender) and I loved the passion fruit tea. Personal and warm service, quiet friendly atmosphere, so we could hear one another perfectly for a change. We'll be back for another Saturday lunch (our ritual family time), and will double order the empanadas next time!!!

Jacquelyn K.

Yelp
Fantastic food!! The owner came by our table and gave a few recommendations (making it even harder to choose!) and we ultimately tried the lomo saltado, pork adobo and empanadas. We tried one of each empanada and they were all amazing! My fav was the veggie (I wouldn't have guessed that!). Absolutely recommend, the food is amazing.

Yelp
Based on the upbeat reviews I went to Sazon for the first time today. It was the height of lunch hour and except for one other table in this huge deli/restuarant I was the only patron the whole time. Not a great sign but I had a nice server (so I thought) in Juan who poured my wine right away, took my order and brought it to me in a reasonable period of time. I had the loma saltado which was not particularly good or special but not so off that I wanted to return it. Had trouble locating Juan to get my check and he finally did bring me a check. I noticed right away that instead of being charged the menu price of $22 for the dish I was charged $28. I once again had to track Juan down and when I pointed out the discrepancy his handling of it was unpleasant to me. Seems that he knew the menu prices had not been correctly updated to match what the restaurant was wanting to charge now and what the computer has already been programmed to produce for the checks. He never gave me a heads-up on that and seemed content to repeat what had happened as if I should (or could) understand. So my impression of the place is that, at least in this instance, they were less than candid about what was going on. Had it been my place of business I would have either attached a new price sheet to the menus I was handing the customer or I would have made mention that the check and menu would not correspond and state that the menu price would be respected until they got correct menus. Rather than doing either of those things I guess they were just hoping the customer might not notice the discrepancy. I didn't even like the Loma saltado for $22 and the atmosphere left a great deal to be desired, so even absent the check/menu issue I would not have returned. What a shabby way to treat a customer.

Yelp
I had the pleasure of dining here today for lunch for the first time. The restaurant owner, his team and the food was excellent!! Parking Parking was fine however a little tight if there's multiple cars coming through. I parked in the front however there was signs showing available parking behind the building. Service I was greeted when I walked in and seated immediately. I asked about recommendations on the menu and the owner walked me through most of the dishes and made recommendations. The ambiance was pretty chill, open (airy) and wasn't stuffy/dark or overcrowded. Very welcoming team. There's a deli connected to the restaurant as well. I wasn't able to see what was offered this visit but plan to check it out next time. Food I ordered the veggie empanada, mango ceviche and a sautéed beef dish (I will have to look the name up!). The empanada was tasty, lightly crusted and filled with veggies and quinoa with some pickled red onions on the side and some sort of green sauce that was out of this world!! The mango ceviche was a winner as well! Very creamy and flavorful. The fried plantains complimented the dish superbly. Beef dish was tender with a gravy and onions. Served with rice, it was amazing! Totally worth checking out if you're in the area. It's a must!

Yelp
My partner is Peruvian and I have eaten his family's home-cooked meals, aside from traveling and living in Peru for a time period. I loooove Peruvian food and can honestly say this is the best Peruvian food we have had in the Bay Area. You can tell immediately upon walking in that the spot is going to be good - the restaurant was full of Latinos and there was Latin American fútbol on the televisions. The menu has all your typical Peruvian favorites, aside from some that are sometimes tough to find. We ordered an assortment of plates - ceviche to start, and a lomo saltado. Everything was prepared to perfection! This place was so good that we plan our trips to North Bay around our ability to stop here to eat - you won't be disappointed!

Yelp
I am not a Peruvian food connosiuer so I cannot speak if they are Authentic or not, but I saw lots of Hispanic people dining here and the food we got were good. My dish and my husband dish were pretty similar, just a different sauce over seafood and rice. The service was nice as well. I do agree with some reviewers saying they are priced little bit too high....the ambiance felt much like a family restaurant, but could cost you as much as semi fancy. Reservation recommended.

Yelp
De-li-cious!!! Second time here. I'll probably stop by here again whenever I travel around the Sonoma area. Tried mango ceviche - very fresh shrimp and good texture. Plantain chips were really crispy and has a nice thickness & seasoning. Our number one was Peruvian paella. This was a flavor bomb!! Rich creacy sauce with nicely cooked seafood. We also had a chocolate cake dessert. Plus must try their home recipe sangria!!
