About once every decade, I see a Sbarro's in a mall food court, glance at the pizza and think, "I'll give it a shot" only to conclude that the pizza isn't really too good knowing that in 10 years or so I'll give it another try.
The only sausage thick crust they had came with bacon - I figured I could live with that and ordered two slices and a drink. Now here's the problem with that order - there are NO trays to put the food on and the pizza is served on flimsy plates. I ended up asking the guy behind the counter (who was very helpful) for another sheet of wax paper - he gave me that and another flimsy plate so I could stack the two pizza slices and carry them easier.
Now, the tray issue is most likely the food court/mall's shortcoming as I didn't see any restaurant offering trays to carry food. As for the pizza, it was just too bland - lotsa bulk, but no flavor. Sausage wasn't authentic Italian sausage, sauce was pretty plain and the cheese seemed like minimal quality.
See ya in 2032, Sbarro...
