SC Fried Seafood & Chicken

I came and waited 30 mins for my food and left to go to work and theres hair in my food. I take the food back they refused to give me a refund made me order something else and up charged me. Please for the safety of your health. Please don’t eat here.

I have never dined in the restaurant or went to the buffet so I can't judge that part. However the customer service and food has always been good. My favorites are the sweet potato tempura, shrimp tempura and the spicy crab meat salad.

My family ordered a few times from here and we like the food. They got so much different options for fish meals. It’s the perfect spot for dinner when you don’t feel like cooking and it’s good. And they are nice. Thanks for the great food and service.

The first time I had this place the fried fish was great. I went back for a second time but unfortunately my fish was overcooked the second time, and the fish was lacking seasoning. But the tartar sauce is the BEST tartar sauce I’ve ever had…

I had a frustrating experience with the parking situation at this restaurant. The parking attendant informed me that the restaurant was closed and insisted that I pay $30 for parking, which was not accurate. When I later confirmed that the restaurant was indeed open, I confronted the attendant, but she could not provide any information about her company or the reason for her misinformation. I would suggest addressing this issue as it negatively impacted my visit and overall experience.

Do not walk but RUN to try this place out. I order all the time and never disappointed on taste, quality portions, and presentation. They do not miss and I am hooked on their lemon pepper fried catfish nuggets and shrimp!

The only reason why I am putting this post here. They used to be very reasonable but now they are ridiculous out of price just because they have remodeled they inside where the people eat in not where the people pick up orders.

I've tried a few things and I loved them all the teriyaki chicken & beef was amazing.

I can't believe I'm only just finding out about this place the BEST fried shrimp I have EVER HAD in my life...and I'm from MD.

Fried whiting was really good. Had the 3 piece dinner and an order of slaw. All good. Convenient location on Cobb Pkwy. Will definitely order again.

This was my third visit and this place is always thriving with take out orders, so I have been trying to see what the hype is about and I have been disappointed on every visit. On my first visit, I ordered the chicken and shrimp hibachi, and I must say that it was OK, we also ordered fried rice which was a little bit challenged, it seemed old with a funny taste. The second time we ordered fish and I am no stranger to seafood, so I know exactly what ocean perch fish should look and taste like, and it definitely was not ocean perched fish that was served.. I did not have the energy to drive back up there, so make sure you know your fish and check it before you leave. The third time we ordered the 10 piece whole fried wings and shrimp fried rice, the chicken was fried in burned grease that smelled up my entire house and the shrimp fried rice was not good at all. I don't know if the eggs were old or what but the eggs were hard and stringy at times, that was definitely my last visit.

I was passing by this place on the way to my hotel so I decided to stop and give them a shot. I ordered the 3 piece whiting dinner, that comes with fries, cole slaw and white bread. The fish had some bones in it but it was good and seasoned well. The fish is a nice size for the price you pay. The tarter sauce was good and they give you some ketchup but if I would've been home I would've been able to doctor that fish up the way I really like with some hot sauce or mustard or malt vinegar. Depends on what u like to do. Next time I'm staying in this area I would give them another shot. They also have sushi, they are actually connected to the sushi restaurant next door they have a breezeway where you can walk between both places.

I ordered a three piece whiting dinner tonight since I had a taste for some fish. It took a while for my food to be prepared so the guy who took my order gave me a free drink. When I finally received my order I asked for tarter sauce and mustard in case I didn't like the tarter sauce. The pieces of fish were huge. I could only eat 1 piece. The fries were really crispy just like I like them. I was very disappointed with the tarter sauce, but I had already been warned by a previous review. The tarter sauce was sweet and just not good.

Wasn't impressed with the food. I always try the "hole in the wall" joints because you can't judge a book by its cover. The Wings was crispy but lacked flavor. The beef hibachi was also flavorless, and the beef seemed "imitation". Not sure but don't recommend. Customer-service was subpar. They seemed not to care if you dined in or carry out!

The catfish nuggets were seasoned just right and the whiting dinner with fries was delicious

Service was quick but food is definitely not worth it I asked for trout and got whiting. I ordered the gizzards and the grease was old no season at all and the Cajun chicken plate had the texture of ground chicken meat

The flounder was great, flavor was great, it was fresh! Fries were not seasoned. Tartar sauce was pawpin! The fried shrimp was good but the batter was like tempura batter. It was so filling portion size was generous can definitely feed 2! Definitely coming back again when I'm in town.

This is a takeout place, but all of the food is fresh and delicious. We have not been disappointed yet.

Good food and they're open til 9 / 10 so it's a great spot when you're craving fried food, especially at the last minute.

I was craving fried fish since I hadn't had it in a while, and I came across this gem of a restaurant. I ordered fried whitings with fried rice, and the food was so so good! I'm not a big fan of citrus fruits or spices cooked on food, but I could not tell that the fried whitings had a any lemon pepper added to it, which was perfect. I will make this my regular go to spot for my fried fish.

This place is conveniently located right off of I-285 on Cobb Pkwy. It doesn't look like much but the food is great. The inside is pretty plain and has been since COVID. However, the food is great. I ordered fried tilapia and fries. I also added the honey mustard which was great with both items. They give you a good size portion of each. I couldn't even eat the whole thing in one sitting.

I used to have wait until I went on a road trip out of town to get my fried chicken gizzard fix at some interstate road stop in a rural location. Then I discovered SC Fried Seafood in Smyrna less than 5 miles from home (half a mile from Braves Stadium/Truist Park)! The wait is short for take out orders. The fried gizzard (seasoned with lemon pepper) meal comes with french fries. The last time I went there, I was extra hungry and also ordered the beef teriyaki (with noodles) and 1/2 lb. seafood boil (shrimp with heads on, comes with potato and corn). The cashier suggested "mild" for the boil as their "spicy" is really spicy. I have yet to eat in their dining room but I do recommend their take out options.

The food is amazing I had the shrimp and whiting meal and it did not disappoint yummy

Shrimp and fried Whiting was very good with a hint of lemon pepper "who knew". I will be returning.

Great selection of food, nice portioned and quality food, good service, the ambiance is ok, the dining area is nicer.

Stopped by this place just to get some fried chicken wings. I was happy they were whole wings. The flavor was maybe a four out of ten.

I ordered catfish and was served swai, I would like to say they made a mistake but if you work with food you know the difference. They expect customers not to know. Just be aware of what you are being served, may not be what you paid for.....maybe stick to sushi for this restaurant.

Not bad and not perfect but If you want to save a few dollars and grab some decent seafood, you might want to try this place out. I was able to get one piece of fried catfish, seven shrimp and fries for about $13. The juicy crew across the street charges $16 for just the shrimp and fries which is an eight count. Don't go looking for bright lights and a cozy atmosphere but you'll be in and out really fast. It isn't a soulful Sunday recipe so expect a slightly different taste than what your momma tosses in the oil. However, it's good enough to go back. Especially if you don't want to wait and save some money.

I've wanted to try this place for a minute. Appears they are run by the same owners of Sushi Village. Hubby and I had the fried scallops combo, the shrimp and catfish combo and 4 piece chicken wings. The chicken wings were probably my favorite our of the meal. Full wing and seasoned. The catfish came in easily at 2nd place (maybe even a tie for 1st) as it was also flavorful and cooked just right. The shrimp and scallop get no place. They are both breaded but to me sense neither the breading nor the seafood have seasoning what's the point in the breading? The lady taking the order at the front was very pleasant and patient with me. I will be back for the Catfish and wings!

I wouldn't recommend fried shrimp here other stuff is good but they don't clean their shrimp

I was in the area and happen to stumble across SC fried seafood. I was really in the mood for some fried whiting. The place I normally go to is a little further away so I decided to give this place a try. It did not disappoint! My food was hot fresh and very tasty.I loved the cornmeal batter the fish was fried in. I ordered whiting , catfish, corn nuggets and hush puppies. Everything was delicious. This restaurant is also connected to a sushi restaurant which is pretty cool. It seems like they're operating two restaurants out of one kitchen. SC fried food didn't really have a seating area I'm assuming because of Covid most of the booths and tables are pushed up against the wall. I did notice most people ordered ahead and came to pick up their food. My only con was the tartar sauce. For me eating fish with hot sauce and tartar sauce is of a part of the experience. I did not enjoy the tartar sauce at all. It tasted like they made it in-house and it was super sweet.Other than that the fish was fried to perfection.

First time trying this place, customer service is amazing. Friendly atmosphere. Great deals and very clean establishment. Portion sizes better than most places which is great in my opinion. FOOOD TASTE SOO DANG GOOOD !!!

Nastyyyyyy the bread was the best!! The The scallops had water coming out of them the chicken was brown and the inside and read nasty nasty nasty the rice taste like a old greased pan disgusting

Had fried chicken. It was a bit over salted. Flavor was ok, but a little overcooked. Maybe I'll try fish next time.

This is my new favorite place! I've been searching for somewhere to get fried chicken gizzards that didn't look like they came from a parakeet. (I'm looking at you, Harold's) These gizzards are big & juicy and you get a bunch of them in an order. I got whole wings too that were fantastic, fried perfectly. The lemon pepper is just right. Not too salty at all. The staff is super nice, and the place is clean. I will be back next week when I get my next hankering for gizzards. SIX STARS!!

I got the honey hot wings and fries. The sauce was right on the money spicy but not too sweet. The fries were cooked just right. It was still hot when I got my delivery.

I got the scallops and flounder with fries.. The fries were just the right crisp and so tasty. The fish and scallops were really good as well..

A little salty but the food was good. They were nice and they didn't take long to cook the food.

I'm don't get me wrong the chicken was better then most places I've tried in the area. Unfortunately I would still prefer other places in the area over them. The chicken was will died but poorly seasoned for me pallet . Price was a little high but you do get the whole wing which is rare in GA. The name SC made me think it would be more would food oriented but more of a franchise type of establishment

We Uber Eats some SC seafood. This was hands down the best fish I have had since coming to Atlanta. Definitely put them on your rotation l!

I loved seafood boil but without the seafood. They were able to just make me a bag with corn and potatoes at a very reasonable price! The seasoning was perfect, I will definitely be ordering from here again.

My fish was not fresh, tasted like it's been sitting in the window to heat up fries too

I am giving this place a four star four three reasons. 1) the sushi quality is definitely decent for the price. 2) we got out first roll within three minutes of ordering 3) it's all you can eat. With that being said, they do not have the typical variety that a regular sushi place would have but this is an all you can eat sushi place so I'm not mad about it. Sashimi is decent sized

Was looking for a good place to get some fried fish and decided to give SC Fried Seafood a try. Ordered the fried trout combo with 7 shrimp and a two piece whole catfish. Visually the fish was fried to perfection. However, the batter/coating on the fish was salty. Way too much salt for anyone's "pressure"! As for the shrimp, I was looking for regular deveined gulf white shrimp. This is not what I got. Wish I had known, I would have skipped the fried shrimp. Also, the shrimp were over battered. It was a lot of extra batter covering a small piece of shrimp. I gave SC Fried a try, no need for me to go back.

This place is fantastic, so glad I gave it a shot. I ordered shrimp fried rice and a scallop/catfish combo and dang, blew me away! The fried rice was super flavorful and "real", with plenty of shrimp. Not your average, I promise. The catfish was super tender but well fried and seasoned and the scallops were great as well. I know this sounds like a shill but seriously awesome. I was expecting run of the mill and ordered because it was close, definitely did not expect that caliber of food. I know it's new, but don't hesitate to give it a shot.
