Scallywags Resort Gili Trawangan

I had a wonderful stay at this resort! The location is absolutely perfect—right in the center, with sun loungers on the beach just in front of the hotel. The resort has its own restaurant and bar, plus a beautiful pool that makes it easy to relax any time of day. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. If I had to point out one small area for improvement, it would be the bathrooms. They are fine, but could use a bit of an upgrade, and the hot water can be tricky to regulate at times. What really made the experience stand out was the staff—they are simply the best. Warm, attentive, and always ready to help, they made me feel truly welcome. Overall, the value for money is excellent, and I definitely plan to return. Highly recommended!

Scallywag Resort is very well located, right in the middle of Gili Trawangan, with all the bars and restaurants just steps away and great access to the beach. The breakfast is amazing, varied, and included in the price, which is a real plus. The pool is large and very pleasant, perfect to relax after exploring the island. The staff are extremely nice, attentive, and always kind, which makes the stay even more enjoyable. That being said, the hotel could use some renovation. The rooms feel a bit dated and can be slightly humid inside. Despite this, the overall experience is good, thanks to the combination of location, service, and amenities.

Fabulous stay! Great location, very comfortable room, nice swimming pool and excellent breakfast. The staff are very friendly and the whole place has a relaxed beach vibe. We had a room overlooking the sea which was lovely. There's always great music playing (not offensive) and it's not too noisy at night even though it's on the main street. Easy walk to the pier for the ferry. Absolutely loved it here.

We stayed in a private pool villa and it was amazing. Really secluded and mostly quiet (except some noisy neighbours). Great location as only 6 to 10 min walk to the ferry terminal. Breakfast had lots of options; from smoothie bowl to fill english breakfast. Food was yummy and good value. Bed comfortable and fully functioning air-conditioning. Will be back

The staff were attentive without being intrusive, genuinely friendly, and clearly passionate about making sure every guest has a great experience. I ordered the lobster and the calamari, and both were nothing short of exceptional. The lobster was perfectly cooked—succulent, tender, and naturally sweet, paired with a rich, buttery sauce that enhanced its flavor beautifully. The calamari was equally impressive: golden and crisp on the outside, tender inside, and served with a tangy dipping sauce that made it irresistible. Every detail, from the freshness of the seafood to the care in presentation, was spot-on. The combination of phenomenal food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding service made the evening unforgettable. Scallywags is a gem, and I’ll definitely be back. If you visit, treat yourself to the lobster and calamari—you’ll thank me later!

I was in Gili T for a wedding at a resort and decided not to stay, and instead try out Scallywags. It was Great. Super location, lovely room with garden bathroom, Quiet, nice guests and staff, relaxing atmosphere out back and Holiday vibes outside. The included breakfast is generous and comes with lots of options. And the Restaurant draws big crowds for good reasons… enjoy the fresh grilled seafood! Sure I could raise some minor things, though as value of money and a comfortable place to stay I highly recommend it.

The cozy swimming pool is small but perfect for a relaxing dip or soaking up the sun. 🌞🏊‍♂️ Overall, a convenient and affordable place to stay in Gili T.
