new wine bar in nopa! i am so excited to see a wine bar in this area and especially a queer one, the wines are well stocked and varied, the space is a good size and has large windows and natural light. they appear to allow outside food (some folks brought a cheese board). will be back!

Scarlet Fox is a wonderful neighborhood wine bar! The owners are passionate about wine and have created a true community space that is welcoming to all folks who love wine or want to learn about wine. It's also a great place to grab wines to go, the staff and owners are very generous with their knowledge and have helpful suggestions.

A bottle of wine here is always worth it

Stumbled upon this little gem 3 days after their soft launch. If you order a glass, then you get $10 off when you buy a bottle to take home. Came back here with a couple of folks on a Friday just before it started getting crowded. Sadly, they don’t offer hot food as they’d have to put in a full kitchen. If you ask nicely, they have little bar nibbles til you can get something substantial. There is Fish in the Box (formerly Amitis) a block away on Hayes and Masonic for food to go and Central Parc Bistro a block away for a sit down meal. We ordered a happy hour rose for $9 before 6pm. They also have beer on tap and offer cider for those not into wine. They also project futbol (soccer) matches and music videos.

Cute neighborhood spot destined to be a locals favorite. Small curated collection with a very knowledgeable owner somme at the helm selecting. Female produced wines called out, and white price labels making all approachable for bottles for here or to go. 11 wines by the glass, 2 draft beers. I hope these ladies kill it.

First, the good: good wine, knowledgable and friendly staff, yummy snacks! I really want this place to succeed which is why I'm writing some constructive feedback! I recently moved to the neighborhood and have been looking for my cozy neighborhood wine bar to hang out with with a few friends or to read a book. I WANT this to be that place, but after going a few times there are just a few things that don't make me eager to go super often or recommend to friends, but I think they are easy to improve! Areas for improvement: -coziness and seating for smaller parties. The place is tiny and I get that! But the majority of the seating is 2 large tables that seat ~6 people. I guess in theory the tables could be communal but generally wind up seating 1 medium-larger group, so I feel weird grabbing a seat at them. When I show up on my own that means I have to sit at the bar or at one of the window high top stools (which have no back rest). Last time I was there I brought a book and after ~30 mins was getting back pain :( I would've stayed for a second glass of wine but decided to head home instead. A few comfier chairs or smaller tables that seat 2-4 (and could be pushed together for larger parties) would make me a lot more likely to go more often/stay for longer. -in a similar vein, the lighting inside at night is somewhat cold. A little bit warmer/cozier lighting would make the place feel more homey. Again, only sharing this in the hopes that this feedback is helpful! Would love to see this place continue to grow and succeed :)

Truly feels like a neighborhood bar in every sense at the highest level. Cozy, cute, welcoming, approachable, fun. I don't know how many other praises I can heap. My first experience will not be my last. Can't wait to visit again.

Scarlet Fox is a wonderful wine bar located north of the Panhandle. Its atmosphere is welcoming and intimate. I love that it's LGBTQ-& women-owned. They're super nice here! Perfect chill spot to enjoy a glass or two (bottles lol). They've got a great selection of wines from around the world and CA but would love to see more local wineries featured. $9 per glass for their happy hour special which is a sweet deal. They've got a few snacks on the menu including a yummy cheese plate. This is the perfect spot to hit up for happy hour then take a stroll through the Panhandle on your way to a delicious dinner--lots of great choices in the area!

Scarlet Fox is such a cute neighborhood wine bar! The inside has so much lighting and is bright & welcoming. The staff is so sweet and always make you feel at home. They don't really serve food so eat beforehand and make your way over for a little night (or day) cap! It's also women owned and queer friendly which is awesome. The wine is always good and well priced for the area. You can buy a whole bottle and open it up and take the rest home. The spot is also right by the panhandle so you can walk off your buzz afterwards :)

Cute new wine bar that we checked out. It wasn't busy upon arriving and was a chill vibe. The staff was all really friendly and tried a couple glasses of wine. They had good recommendations and a good variety of bottles to buy as well.

Love this place. Great location near Muni. Great ambiance. Went for a political event they laid out food options even someone on keto could eat. The wine selection was great. Will definitely be back! The owners are super friendly and knew exactly what dry I could drink on keto.

Enjoyed a glass of red wine on my own, recommended by the bartender. The wine was reasonably priced, and the atmosphere was very lively with music playing, and a few social conversations ongoing. Nice place to meet friends or just enjoy a glass by yourself!

This is the perfect neighborhood wine bar - exceptional wines and beers, friendly, brilliant somm owner, hospitable, comfortable, and DOG FRIENDLY! We don't even live in the neighborhood and it's our favorite place to meet up with friends from all over the City and the Bay.

What a lovely new spot. We happened upon it during a walk and decided to grab a glass. Ambiance is hip, quaint, and chill. It seems clear that people in this neighborhood are really excited about this place - there was a steady stream of folks coming in the whole time. Wines are very high quality. I had a chilled red from El Dorado, really delicious and exactly what I wanted. My husband ordered one of the two beers on draft. We ordered the small cheese plate as well and all the Spanish cheeses were delicious. I can't wait to come back! I feel so proud when small businesses like this open up in SF and I am wishing this establishment great success.

The team at Scarlet Fox hosted a group of us for a tasting and food. It was absolutely wonderful incredible. The wines were fun and unique that led to everyone finding a wine they truly enjoyed. The team is so helpful, knowledgeable and kind. Neighborhood gem!

This is such a bright lovely spot! I stopped in on a weekday afternoon and they were so welcoming and knowledgeable. They recommended something perfect for the weather/time of day and I left wishing I could have stayed longer. I will be back asap! Welcome to the neighborhood!

I know this wine bar is excellent because the owners are excellent women. They are local LGBTQ women, who have made a business run by women. The wines are hand-picked by the sommelier who is very passionate about her profession. They serve various delicious treats with their wines and discussion is always welcome. It's in the NoPa district, and it has a fun experience you'd like, whether it be alone with a glass of wine and treats or with friends. The atmosphere is cheerful and encouraging. It's the new place to be seen and heard. These ladies are a powerful force to bring such a place to the neighborhood. Enjoy!

Excellent wine by the glass and reasonably priced to boot! Stopped by on a Saturday afternoon post-hike with the doggo -- they had water out and everything for the pup. Sat at the counter while my hubby and the owner had a friendly game of backgammon as our intended one glass of wine turned into a couple more. They even put out a little bowl of bar snacks for us. The space and the people are so welcoming, we just didn't want to leave when we were having such a good time! Highly recommended, we will definitely be back.
